Excellent facilities and equipment, always has a feel-good atmosphere. Staff and customers likewise are friendly, pleasant and non-judgemental. Until August 2021 I'd never set foot in a gym, so it was nerve-wracking to begin, but it has fast become my happy place!

I don't think every PureGym is the same as I've also been to the Walsall one. What I like about the Telford one is it's bigger and has more cable equipment almost two of each cable ones, for example the cable pec deck fly machine where they have two whilst at Walsall there is only one. Another plus point, the building is next to a car park and you get two hours free parking when you stamp you parking ticket inside. The next thing tbey also have, again not at Walsall, is the two HydroMassage chairs which are great to release stiff tight muscles after a good workout. Lastly they have the YANGA SPORTS WATER machine, though also at Walsall, which is free depending on your membership level and have a variety of flavours at varying strengths. It's all good, a great place to workout with loose weights, cardio, aerobic classes etc. I could go on but check out the website for more.

Excellent gym, however as it is new there are a lot of members going during peek time so I would try and avoid this time. If you download the mobile app you can see how many people are in the gym. Saying that there are a lot of machines and space in the weight section.

Very good equipment for a workout, 2 floors. Unfortunately no sauna or pool. But has a few showers in the changing room. Good cardio section, I am happy with the place, you get water and massage chairs with premium membership.

Overall I'm happy with this gym. Can't find alot wrong, apart from the locker situation,(which I believe the staff have taken care of). Everyone seems friendly and approachable and always good for a bit of advice. If you're looking for exactly what It says on the tin then look no further.

Good gym, free parking. What I really like about the gym is etiquette of people, I went to 2-3 gyms before and people just throw weights everywhere but not here.

*EDIT* Wasn't blown away, I don't particularly like leaving a bad review however PureGym Telford fell short of the mark. Came in at 0600 and wasnt impressed initially, but after the first week it has settled a bit and isnt as bad as originally percieved. Equipment variety seems fairly scarce even at 0600, so id dread to think what availability is like during peak times, and attachments for the cable machines seem all but extinct. The ticket validation machine does work, I just wasnt using it properly so a star has been added back, also I forgot to mention that the gym is wonderfully cleaned and the manager always seems to be busy cleaning equipment/surfaces when I see him, so kudos* I would recommend PureGym if the price were to remain around the £17 mark p/m and you either like an early session where you dont need to wait for most equipment or you can get in at a fairly empty period.

Staff: Great, talkative and friendly Equipment: Pretty basic, several squat racks upstairs, but they don't have a great selection of rack heights, and there is no power rack in the gym. They do have a nice functional area downstairs, but space is limited so it's hard to make use of. Two flat benches and plenty of free incline benches to roll about the place. Pin loaded stuff downstairs is not quite as nice to use as other gyms in the area, but perfectly fine if you're needing some iso work. There is a single deadlift platform upstairs, which is quite good, but I have seen trainers encouraging clients to use it for exercises that really don't require a deadlift platform, like hip thrusts for instance. In fact, I have questioned them about it and the response was 'where else are they supposed to do it?' - literally anywhere else would be my answer. Ettiquette: This is where PureGym Telford falls over for me - it is standard to leave weights loaded, and people just walk away once they're done. Staff say nothing about it (but I do regularly see staff putting weights away when they're there, so if you train during staffed times it probably won't be an issue for you). Also, it's the only gym I've been to where clips for attaching bars to pin loaded machines go missing - not really a reflection of the gym I suppose, but they've cable-tied the remaining ones to whatever bit of equipment they're currently on, rendering some stuff unusable until they get new clips. There are literal grease patches on most of the benches, as nobody is required to use a towel, and there are no facilities to wipe stuff down. Atmosphere: It is very dark upstairs, and seems to have warm lighting which seems counter-intuitive to me, as it's hard enough to train in the mornings without being put to sleep on rests between sets. Generic pop music plays, as is expected of a commercial gym, so either tune it out or bring headphones if that's not for you. Not really anything on offer that you can't get better elsewhere, the only reason to stay for me is the price.

Puregym is generally a very good gym chain with lots of good equipment. My criticism is due to the mirrors behind the squat racks causing issues when squatting, as a powerlifter I cannot easily check my depth when performing this lift which is very annoying. I have used several different branches in the London area, and they all have nice big mirrors. However the Telford branch falls short, and it would be great if this could be rectified, and the gym chain had complete consistency throughout. The only other thing is members not being told to wipe their sweat off equipment, as the gym thinks printing this in the company policy is enough. I've only been to 1 branch where they have wipes available, yet staff seem too scared to approach members and enforce such a policy.

Best gym in Telford. Staff are absolutely amazing and their service is second to none, always happy faces all around and welcoming 24/7 - they're always happy to help with questions and queries and even give you a few tips for form etc if they notice you're unsure! Our of all the gyms I've been to on Telford this is the one I'm sticking with, 24/7 access, comforting atmosphere and and amazing team behind it all - highly recommended
