Training here is something that I really look forward to. Phil is a great coach. He is welcoming and supportive and will scale down the exercises so that everyone can always work to their own ability. He shows you beginner and advanced variations of all the exercises.
Don’t be put off by a group training environment. The atmosphere is relaxed and supportive, it’s not intimidating at all. There’s a really good mix of people of all ages and levels training here.

A completely unique style and feel of gym and one of the best finds I’ve ever come across. I first trained with Phil when BodyProject was starting out and he has been consistently the greatest coach I’ve worked with - making the impossible look effortless and breaking it down into regressions that are the right level challenge for each individual but still enjoyable and interesting exercises in every session. Phil is top tier and if you are considering trying any of the classes, give it a go because you will not regret it.

I’ve been going to Phil’s classes for over a year and really enjoy them. Calisthenics it a great way to build strength and its a great addition to other form of trainings. Body weight training comes with it’s own number of challenges to over come. Its has a number of skills set which Phil helps his clients works toward and develop. His classes cater to any fitness level.

Been coming here for a few years now and it’s such a good place to be. Phil is a fantastic instructor and adjusts the workouts as you’re going through the sessions based on where you both see your ability. There’s no pressure to be as good as the more advanced students, you challenge yourself as much as you need to and all the other students are friendly and motivational (but not to the extent that it’s uncomfortable!) and will help you out when you need it. Would recommend calisthenics, and this gym in particular, to anyone who wants to get themselves active and to progress at a pace at which you’re comfortable, surrounded by good people.

Phil is a fantastic coach and really helps you to navigate exercises you thought were easy (but haven’t nailed the technique, it turns out) and break down those that are harder into more accessible parts.
There is always a great atmosphere in class and different skills levels can work together easily, support each other and have fun in the process.
Whatever your fitness aspirations, calisthenics is a great way to go. See you down there!

This is a great place to train and Phil has built up a really good Calisthenics community in Warrington. He is incredibly welcoming, friendly and has an extensive knowledgeable in regards to bodyweight training. You shouldn't hesitate to join as there is no barrier to Calisthenics as there is definitely something for everyone and Phil makes sure of that. I live a couple of hours away from the gym but I am always enthusiastic to attend a session when I can as there is always a piece of advice or skill that I attain and can takeaway from these sessions.

I decided to give calisthenics a go after multiple shoulder injuries from weight lifting. Since that first class around 3 years ago, calisthenics has almost been a therapy for me, not only has my injury surpassed, I also have much more freedom of movement. This type of training is now the only type of training I will ever do, Phil’s coaching ability to break down movements to allow both beginners and experts to get involved is impressive. I would advise anyone to give this a go and BodyProject is the best place to get started on your Calisthenics journey!

This is a unique gym in the area in my opinion. If you want to feel challenged, but yet welcomed and safe then this is the place to come. Feel part of a community where you are not judged for what you cannot do, but you are encouraged every step of the way to push yourself to your own personal best. I love it. I tried out the calisthenics class a couple of times and have been pushed to my limits, with tips on form and encouragement. Everyone has been very welcoming and friendly, it's great to see the progression of the exercises. Would definitely recommend for a friendly gymn that will push you each session but lets you set your own pace as to how many times you attend each week. I can feel the difference after only a couple of weeks, so I've signed up for more.

I've been coming to BodyProject for the last 3 years. I wanted to try something different other than the gym at 49 yrs of age and I've been hooked ever since. I've built up my strength, balance and flexibility. If you persevere the results in your overall fitness and physique will be impressive. I am pleased to say that I have made many friends as well as training partners at BodyProject and will continue with my progress. I have found that by booking onto classes regularly it gives me the incentive and commitment to keep coming back even when i feel like going home and putting my feet up! which I might ordinarily be tempetd to do if I was training on my own at a gym elsewhere. I love the hanstand classes aswell as the calisthenics classes as they compliment each other, helping me achieve my goals of free standing handstands and muscle ups as well as the many other disciplines Phil teaches.

I've used Body Project several times, including recently whilst home on leave from Royal Marines Commando basic training. I can honestly say that I'd highly recommend Phil and Body Project to anyone! For anyone joining the military, this style of bodyweight/calisthenics type fitness is exactly what's done in basic training (particularly early on), so using this to build (and maintain) a really strong solid base goes a long way! But for anyone who just wants to get fit and push themselves it's ideal! Semi to regular training will pay significant dividends and Phil's friendly and approachable coaching (while still pushing you to achieve your best and then some) makes for a relaxed environment and enjoyable session... Albeit a tiring one!!

Started coming to these classes because I wanted a change from the gym. Phil is very knowledgeable and takes time to give all members great constructive feedback and suggests progressions so you can make progess. I love this place! I was hugely overweight when I started and gyms were my worst nightmare, but the classes here are fun and there's always a progression move I can do instead. A few months (and 2 stone later) I go 3 times a week and I'm getting better every time. The people are friendly and I've not felt self conscious much at all. In fact my confidence has never been higher!
