Very nice place, with friendly staff. Except one lady at the front when asking about a replacement card. Came another day and another staff member was happy to get me a new card and even helped me set up my David Lloyd's app. Facilities are well maintained and would highly recommend.

Once there in person, this place fills me with so much satisfaction that I'm having a luxurious experience of either going to the unrivalled gym environment and when facilities are lacking or under renovation, I feel the staff do their utmost best to give us the best hospitable experience possible. As this year progresses I look forward to the new saunas, the gym experience and greeting Hannah (from facilities who cleans like a boss constantly) and still able to greet us with enthusiasm and with a smile. While this is an intimate small gym compared to some of the other gyms I believe the new facilities will uplift this lux experience

Excellent facilities particularly after the gym revamp but need to be aware that they do tend to tie you in for a long contract which can cause problems if your circumstances change. Wish they had more flexibility in their notice periods.

A bit pricey but if you sign up when a promotion is on then you can get a good deal. Parking can be an issue at peak times (weekend mornings is very bad). The tennis courts are very good quality and there is a good friendly social scene where you can turn up and play social doubles (Tues evenings and weekend afternoons). The app is very good for booking classes and courts. Cafe can sometimes be crowded but the food is very good and mostly healthy. Gym is good quality but fairly standard. The spa is spacious and comfy but sometimes cold or out of order. There is an outdoor pool. There is a great outdoor hot tub that is nice in the evening. I would recommend joining if you plan on regular usage.

David Lloyd Bushey is one of the biggest gyms I have ever visited. It has a massive gym floor, outdoor and indoor swimming pools, outdoor and indoor tennis courts, and plenty of different classes. They also have kids area and restaurant area with a variety of healthy food. I literally love it! However, there are few negatives as well, the gym is currently under renovation, so they could build the new Spa and Relaxing area, which means that the Saunas are closed and not working, before renovation is completed. Indoor swimming pool was also closed for some time for the same reason - now open. And the restaurant area will be closed for some time aslo. It's not the best, but it is good to renovate. Also, David Lloyd is quite pricy on general, and now, even with the renovations and the few closed areas, the price is still staying quite high. Bottom line, if the price and the current renovations are not something that would better you, David Lloyd is a great place!

The club is very nice however far too many people on hot days ...lots sunbeds with towels on and no people on them. Very frustrating for people who arrive to find no beds available. Pool etiquette very poor. I felt like I was at a rough hotel in benidorm. Hot tub ..place too relax but was subjected to young women posing on the side of the hot tub taking selfie. Not enough staff around to uphold policy which most abide too.

Really good facilites, extra lovely staff who were all friendly and helpful. Around the restaurant especially, who were a really lovely team. Only negative is they ran out of many menu items, however I suppose it's good they are using what they had left and available. They were accomodating and made up a DIY burger for us. The pool is cramped, but it was busy being sunny & hot, so it was to be expected. They could do with expanding the pool area & getting more pàrasols & side tables but otherwise excellent with lots of beds. Tennis courts are fab!

The ladies at reception so welcoming and build great rapport. Facilities clean and tidy, my only niggle is the gym floor, no one puts weights back they lying on the floor, dumbbells not in order, no one cleans equipment after use.

I’d like to give David Lloyd in Bushey a better rating if it wasn’t for their cold outdoor swimming pool in winter months. It’s barely heated to the right temperatures and the indoor pool is always packed unless you use it at 7pm on a weekday. They are organised with regards to classes being on time, I’m happy with the ease of booking and cancelling classes although they should provide more of a variety with Zumba and dance classes at peak times with different teachers. I’d say the cleanliness and hygiene is also fair compared with other gyms I’ve used.

May not be a flagship David Lloyd Gym but it ticks a lot of boxes. The gym space is busy and full of equipment and Zones. One of the few with space dedicated to Mats for some stretching after a session. Outdoor pool is 20M with only one lane for laps. The best thing is that there are sauna and steam rooms in the changing rooms as well as the glitzy spa area if you need funky low level lighting. Cafe is busy with a friendly vibe and a great outdoor area semi- overlooking the outdoor tennis courts. If the weather is good you could think you were in south of france.

Very well equipped gym, with outdoor pool and various diseases racket courts (indoor). For this visit family played tennis I waited in the large bar area watched footie, used free WiFi and just chilled. Staff lovely as ever.

As I've already been to the one in Hatfield, I can't help it but compare. The standard is much lower than Hatfield. Anyone can use the spa area. The facilities is much smaller and more congested. Social distancing may be a challenge in the steam room and sauna. Although, the gym is much bigger and you can social distance. The outside hot pool is open so you can be alone and social distance. The shower needs repairs. The grout is falling out of the tiles on the shower. The standard is not expected. I expected better facilities for David Lloyd's standard. I do prefer Hatfield over Bushey. Mainly because of the facilities and more room to social distance. However the customer service is the same. Smiles from every staff and you just feel welcomed. Good job. Keep up the excellent customer service Bushey!!!

Very nice lady at reception which allowed my guest to come in as I didn't have any guest pass. Saying that the catering section is always short of staff and it takes around 45 min to get any food and when it gets to you, it is cold already. You almost feel sorry for the staff as they are all running around at all time. They need more staff at this branch. It is a shame that David Lloyds spends millions in developing a good facility and then they are always short in staff for service the customer who they charge 179 pounds per month. I hope they sort themselves out.

The whole club is big, spacious and bright. Makes for a pleasant experience. The gym floor is big with a lot of equipment. The pools are nice and clean. The changing rooms are spacious and bright. They could however be a bit cleaner, especially in the showers. The food at the restaurant is as ok, nothing to shout about. There are good facilities for children by the restaurant. Also there is a quiet room that comes off the restaurant which is a nice touch. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. All in all, a nice place to visit and workout.

New gym facilities are nice but many members lack etiquette, let their screaming children run wild on the gym floor and completely take over the cafe and pool. This "health club" is more like a kids club, don't expect to use facilities in peace and quiet for your £80/month membership. It's also not that clean.

Gym floor is great, they pretty much have all the same equipment that is in all David Lloyd clubs, except the kinesis wall that is in Milton Keynes. The spa area is very good, similar to Milton Keynes, they have steam room, sauna and hydropool (not the small jacuzzi). Restaurant and bar with full Delicious Food menu, adult lounge with computers. Great club.

Only negative is behaviour of some of the other members - who can’t park properly, and block the walkways to have inane chats when others have come to exercise. Would be good if gym enforced reverse parking and education of what the “one way” sign means on the way out. Not their job but clearly some members are a bit thick.

Good for racket sports and socialising, the gym has been refurbed and is much better though there is no smith machine (seriously, wth), some of the crowd is entitled and lacks basic gym etiquette. £120 for gym only - £150 with racket sports on 3 month rolling membership is bathsh×t, it's really a place you'd only go to for the tennis.

I'm a member at DL Hatfield and pop down to the Bushey club each week to play tennis with a friend. It's a far better club imo. A very good atmosphere.... Lively... Great facilities

Offers a larger selection of fitness classes and GROUPS as well as indoor and outdoor Tennis courts, Padel courts, a large well equipped gym, social area, canteen, exercise studios, personal fitness training, tennis coaching, instructor lead classes, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, stream runs and sauna. Visited as a guest to watch my young nephew getting coached for a tennis lesson. Coach Lisa was patient, funny and enthusiastic, with a great coaching attitude to help young kids enjoy the game. Highly recommend her for teaching young kids.
