N. A.Friday front of house staff / lady with grey hair (didn’t catch her name)! Was superb! Excellent customer service skills, really polite and friendly and just so welcoming unlike other staff when I have visited. She is really hard working and really knows her job! Highly recommended place just all staff need to be friendly and welcoming like her.
A. B.Front of house staff are very professional nothing is too much Trouble for them. The membership team work so hard to get the best deal for you too. The guys in the gym are friendly and full of advice and all the children who come to the swimming lessons all have a big smile on their faces and seem to have a lot if fun with their teachers - this is one of the best facilities in the area.
S. N.Great place, clean, well-equipped and value for money. They have a clean pool that is great for swimming. The booking system introduced after Covid is quite useful in enabling better planning to visit the pool. The place also has a fully equipped gym and spaces for other activities including a large hall for basketball and badminton.

M. G.I am now a member of the naturist members at the Watford leisure centre. Even in these covid times. It is a very well organised, superbly run event. It is not my local centre but it is by far ranked in my top 10. I tavel 20miles one way to get there and it is well worth the trip. Highly recommended.
S. V.With everything that has happened this year, I’ve been very impressed with how the pool has been run at this centre. The swimming has been a great distraction. Lessons have helped me improve technique and stamina. Because of the second lockdown, the centre has rolled over my direct debt for my lessons for November into December (so I am not paying for the lessons whilst the centre is closed). This is more than what so many other organisations are doing.
Really sad the govt has chosen to close pools and outdoor sports facilities. Hopefully not for too long!
M. P.Honestly one of the best leisure centres I've been to. It's newly refurnished, with a clean well equipped gym; a 25m swimming pool and a climbing wall. It's very reasonable priced too. If you're new to the area and looking for a gym, don't go for pure gym or anytime fitness, go here. Not only is it the same price but there's no fixed term contract, you get a swimming pool and climbing wall included and most importantly it's not too busy at 7pm on a weekday. Highly recommend.
I'd also note that I haven't experienced the apparent unfriendliness of the staff that others have. Yes they can be apathetic and unprofessional at times, but generally very approachable.
D. H.Generally pretty clean. A good selection of group fitness classes and a strong pool timetable for fitness swimming. Unlike a lot of other centres there aren’t that many clubs hogging the pool, and the full 6 lanes are available 4 evenings a week and every morning and lunchtime. Also far less likely to be closed due to swimming galas than Woodside. Best to travel by foot or bike as the car park gets busy.

G. x.The Changing facilities are very reasonable - although a bit on the cold side. The swimming area is clean and close to the changing facilities.
I found their timetable is difficult to read (as evidently do their staff).
Unfortunately the staff are not very well trained and are quite young and therefore inexperienced so it's not their fault that customer service could be improved.
However, twice I have called now, to be told that the Swim4Everyone is at a certain time, only to find that the information they gave was incorrect.
The first time it meant my youngster and I had to sit in a cool environment, in our swimwear, waiting for an empty pool to be opened. That time they had mixed up the School Time and School Holiday timetable. This was despite my having called in advance to asking which timetable they were working from that week. No genuine apology was given, just an unembarrassed shrug of the shoulders (indicating poor customer service training).
The second time I was given the wrong time. I pushed for the receptionist with an 'Are you sure?' several times before the receptionist changed her mind and stated that it was actually open half an hour later than she had originally stated. This might of had us sitting in the cold again but my persistence saved us that cold inconvenience.
I would hope that they make the time table clearer to read and train the staff a bit better.
Generally staff there are bubbly and smiling so it really is down to poor management and not the enthusiasm of their young reception staff.
N. B.Had my daughter's 2nd birthday party here (the all sports) and it was fabulous!! The staff were amazing the equipment was a lot better than I had worried it would be. The kids had such a great time and it was so much cheaper than hiring a hall and getting stuff for it myself.
R. A.Today I was there with my daughter at the swimming pool and I want to let you know that I was extremely happy that a lifeguard in time of seconds saved a little girl. His time of reaction was really impresive👏👏 I don't know his name but he was amazing and professional. CONGRATULATIONS
I know that it's his job to do it, but to see it live he just amazed me and give more trust to use this services in the future.

M. C.Regularly Come here for Morning Swimming Twice a Week. Staff are friendy. And the regulars are all nice while swimming in their lanes No complaints Changing Rooms are always Clean.
E. M.Expensive for a swim and the hygiene in the pool area is awful. The changing rooms need updating. Additionally, the sight of staff sweeping the floors and pushing the contents into the pool whilst swimming is in progress is just disgusting. Bits of hair, tissue, hairpins are floating about and getting in your face - chlorine cant fix that!

A. A. M.I moved to Watford 2 years ago and I did not have any friends or family nearby, so I decided to do what I never did before: joining a gym an spending my free time there. I have never been a gym person, never did any sports before, and at first I felt quite scared/embarrassed of (potentially) being the target of people's looks and laughs (due to physical appearance, awful physical condition/resistance, and zero knowledge about sports/exercises performance). But nothing of this happened in EA Watford Leisure Centre. On the contrary, here the team members always offered me help, support and advice, always looking for my personal interest and wellbeing. Unfortunately, a month ago I had to terminate my membership because I moved to a different town, but I wouldn't like to miss the chance to say WHAT A GREAT TEAM you have there: starting from Reception team, KIERAN and SHANNON, who own amazing customer service and problem handling skills, and who always welcome all customers with a smile on their faces, no matter what happens. I can't count the number of times they have helped me and the times they have made my day. In terms of PT's, LUKE, a great professional, really helpful, friendly, available to answer questions and to give assistance to gym users any time (no matter if you're not his client), and HIS HIIT, ABS & CIRCUITS CLASSES ARE OUTSTANDING. These are probably the ones I miss the most from Watford LC. And DANNY, another excellent Pt, always kind and enthusiastic in his lessons, he gives AWESOME HIIT & ABS CLASSES, but I have to say that HIS GROUP CYCLING CLASSES ARE THE BEST EVER. I have to mention as well FRANKIE, KYLE & SAM, because even if I have not attended so many of their classes, they've been always happy to answer my questions and to give me advice.
So to sum up, well done Everyone Active Watford Leisure Centre for having such an exceptional team, and A BIG THANK YOU to you all for everything, but especially for making me feel comfortable and at home. And for people who may read this, if you live or are going to live in Watford, I know there are many gyms in the area, but if you have the chance, speak with reception, do a trial month here, attend some classes (book in advance), meet one (or some) of the PT's (there are 30min free taster sessions) and you will confirm that all what I've said are just true facts :)

P. B.Gym is perfectly fine and I use it regularly, however when bringing in a friend who didn’t have a membership and wanted to pay for the day, the lady at reception was extremely rude. She was grinning and was being extremely patronising, which is not welcoming to someone new to the gym. Horrible experience with her, can’t believe someone in customer service could be so rude.
S.Brilliant place . Friendly staff. Indoor pool and learners pool separately. Indoor Gym, badminton Court, hot yoga, rock climbing. All under one roof. Ample parking .
