I have been training with Rachel for over a year now, she has remained my constant. Over lockdown by altering her business model to keep her clients on track. She is always looking at ways to motivate you.
Its just like meeting up with a friend to exercise with, she pushes you but the right amount. She makes me want to on track, because I know if I don't have PT - the next session will hurt !!

If you’ve ever considered personal training, I can recommend Rachel at Mounter Fitness. I’ve been seeing her twice a week for almost a year and I feel incredible.
I used to get shin splints when I ran, I struggled with stitches, was incredibly out of breath, ridiculously sweaty, and could barely manage a full run section, let alone the brisk walking.
Now I can run consistently with no shin splints, no stitches. I’m astonished by how much my fitness levels have improved thanks to Rachel, which is an added bonus to dropping inches and feeling stable enough in my mood to come off my anti-depressants. I’m also quicker on my bike and feel generally fitter all in all.
Someone who hadn’t seen me since August 2021 noticed how much slimmer I look. To say I am chuffed is an understatement.
Seeing Rachel has been the best investment I’ve made for my health and wellbeing. She gives me routine and focus and if you’re wondering whether to do the same, I would have no doubts it will change your life, as it has mine.

Rachel is a really good personal trainer - the right combination of pushing you to achieve more and encouraging you along the way. She is very motivating and professional, and the setup of the studio makes it ideal for a wide variety of different classes. I have been training with Rachel for several months and, in that time, no two classes have been the same, other than that they were hard work! At the start, she listened to what my goals were (mainly cardio health) and has tailored each class to achieving that goal. Perhaps more importantly, I have enjoyed each class and feel fitter and healthier than I have in many years. Highly recommended. Thank you, Rachel.

Rachel is absolutely wonderful. From day one you are put at ease. The gym environment and a lot of personal trainers in gyms, I can find really intimidating and scary. But not once with Rachel have I felt this way.
Rachel is really professional but has a great sense of humour and you can have a laugh with her while getting fit. She knows her “stuff” and offers advice on nutrition also.
If I am having issues with certain things, whether it be motivation, diet, sleeping etc… Rachel often sends links to websites, or people to follow etc…. to help me.
It can often be a bit of a counseling session when I see Rachel, she lends a good ear!

I was in a bike crash and lost some of the mobility in my shoulder. Through hard work and regular workouts with Rachel, the mobility in my shoulder has vastly improved as has my strength and fitness – all of which has helped my cycling enormously.
Spending a regular hour with Rachel in the gym is a great investment. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I started with Rachel in the summer and I have thoroughly enjoyed all of my weekly PT sessions. The sessions are always varied, challenging but fun and I like the way she talks me through the benefits of each of the exercises that we do.
I always come away feeling like I’ve done an excellent work out. I feel much fitter and more toned since having PT sessions with Rachel. The cherry on the top is that she’s just a really lovely person with a good sense of humour and really easy to talk to.

I have worked with Rachel at Virgin Active Wimbledon since March 2018 and she has been a tremendous help to me on many levels. I joined Virgin Active primarily for weight loss, In the months since I have lost over 20kgs in weight but have also made huge dents in my general health in other directions. I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes 5 years ago and that now seems to be in remission - thanks largely to Rachels motivation, work out plans and sensitivity to her client, that weight loss has also contributed to my blood pressure going from high to normal. Rachel has been my personal fitness trainer for almost three years now, including through the Covid-19 lockdown and restrictions during which we have been doing our one-to-one sessions over Skype. The fact that I have continued with Rachel for such a long period of time is an indication of the value she has brought to my health and fitness.
On the physical level, under Rachel’s guidance and exercise regimen, the improvement in my muscle strength and stamina has been life changing. As someone who never really enjoyed physical activity, I struggled to walk up the stairs without knee pain and without getting breathless. It took time to see an improvement because I was in such poor physical shape, but now I bound up the stairs at the train station and I can get up effortlessly from a low stool with no support. My lower back pain has disappeared and I feel more flexible, agile and mobile than I’ve done in years. My posture has visibly improved and I feel 3 inches taller and walk with more purpose and confidence. Rachel has good technical knowledge and will diplomatically guide me into the correct technique if I’m doing something the wrong way. She will push and encourage me but won’t force me go beyond what I feel is my limit. What I really like about Rachel is her empathy and good-natured personality. She has also struggled with fitness and weight and really understands what I’m going through as I work to improve my own fitness.

Rachel Mounter is such an amazing Personal trainer and here is why you should use her...
1. She listens to you and what you want
2. She keeps the workouts varied and enjoyable (I know enjoyable exercise :O)
3. She challenges you when you need it
4. She empathises when its needed
5. She goes above and beyond to be flexible around your life & needs
6. The studio is a little gem, so many things you can do and feeling comfortable whilst doing them.
7. She is genuinely a nice person
I could go on, but all in all I started with her in June 2020 to improve my fitness and feel good about myself. I only train once a week but I really do feel soooo much stronger, with better stamina and endurance. I am shocked at what I am physically able to do now vs what my body could do in June.

I find Rachel highly motivational at 6am on a cold and wet morning when all I want to do is go back home to bed. She always greets me with a big smile and bags of enthusiasm and mixes it up so much that every workout is completely different and I never get bored (only tired…).
