A-Z place if you are thinking of any DIY projects. We visit B&Q if stuck somewhere and brainstorm ideas roaming around this place. Staff were greatly helpful, big cheers to all their efforts👍 Quick tip - just like As-Is section in IKEA, head to Timber cut section in B&Q and grab yourself a bargain!

Excellent store for all your DIY needs. The staff are great, with the customer service always friendly, positive and knowledgeable. The work on the Castlepoint car park is majorly hurting them at present with the store being ridiculously quiet. There is still lots of free parking, although the ramp up to the higher level is a little bit tight to be fair and you do have to follow the not so great signage.

We went to buy an oven. B&Q only sell their own brands, but the range seemed ok. We prefer a non-fan oven, but we wanted an integrated grill, so the lady we had to physically drag away from her conversation with colleagues (this happens every visit, they congregate in quiet corners) - anyway, this lady decided that meant 'multi-fuctional' which word she repeated FIVE times during a 45 second conversation. The word she'd failed to find was 'static' - this is how manufacturers label non- fan ovens. But it's no-ones fault, you see no-one at B&Q actually knows what they're talking about. One or two might be good at Aisle numbers - but that's about it, oh . . . and inexplicably cheerful checkout people. We didn't buy a multi functional, we just bought an oven, with a grill. UPDATE: 6 WEEKS LATER, OVEN NOT WORKING (power all on, all checked, it's just rubbish).

Bought several items in store today. All reasonably priced and the quality looks good. I lost a hanging basket in the car park post purchase and the staff were interested and helpful in checking if it had been handed in and gave the telephone number for castle point security who were courteous as well. Can I give a ****** review to whoever put the basket on the wall on the way out, very thoughtful. I:LL be more careful with my purchases when I visit again. Thanks to all.👍

The plants were well cared for and at a better price than some places. The person on the checkout was friendly and efficient. It was quite easy to find what we needed.

My mum bought some tiles here, was unable to carry them. The sales assistant was very polite helped her carry them to the car and work out the amount of boxes needed, came back for a return as she bought 1 box too many as a precaution and again they were very helpful again

Having walked along every isle at B&Q and then to find the lifts not working I was so exhausted I decided to go home. Then a young lady Karolina saw me struggling and offered to help. She took me to where I needed to go helped me find the item I wanted and then took me to the pay desk. She wheeled my trolley to the car, just outside and put everything in the boot. She was brilliant and I cannot thank her enough for her lovely smile and willingingness to help a struggling old lady. Thank you Karoline and B&Q.

First time at this location, great clean nice and big well stocked. Staff was friendly and you did not have to hunt for them. Did click and collect that went with no trouble also did some in store shopping.

Love searching online for what we needed. Even tells you what aisle the item is in. Admittedly we had to get a really nice chap to open a pack of wood as most of the single bits were cracked or bent like a banana.

Visited on 16th June - needed some cable for a strimmer. Spoke to female MOS who was so bloody helpful! Apparently it's a spool, and she told me aisle 46, half way down on the hanging rods.. sheesh she knew her stuff as it was exactly where she'd mentioned. Credit to your store!
