Reviews of B&Q Cribbs Causeway
S. T.
Brilliant big store and lots of choice however doesn't seem to have the items I need whenever I go in. Nevertheless the quality of choice is great. Good amount of car parking space but does get busy on weekends. Child and accessible bays on hand too. Toilets are at the back of the store. Key cutting here as well. Multiple businesses on site. Paint mixing available and bathroom and kitchen designers on site to help too.
H. B.
I've made 5 visits in a week for building materials. In that time each member of staff - till staff, returns staff, people helping me carry stuff to the car, have without exception, been friendly, helpful and offered positive, constructive suggestions. Thanks to all and whoever trained them.
p. w.
Large branch of the chain with plenty of choice. B & Q sell everything for your home maintenance. Best check on line to see if anything inparticular you may need, just to save you a journey. Plenty of parking available.
P. F.
Didn't answer the phone, turned up limited staff availability and a wasted journey. Some of the bathroom displays were about as appealing as losing your job, which unfortunately means you'll probably look else where eventually.
r. a.
Massive store with really good stock, clear directions and ample parking.
Elderly female staff on the headset barking at customers to use self checkout stops this getting a better review
S. A.
Good range of tools and long opening hours. But the wood is the worst. Trying to find a piece of straight timber is an adventure. And when you think you've found one, by the time you are at the checkout, it's all twisted.
S. G.
Great big store with lots of selection. Staff friendly. Always good offers on.
d. h.
New shop layout has made this B and Q worse than its ever been. Much better selection and quality of tools at nearby Bell tools. Shop here because of its location to me and for items I might need urgently in timber or building sections. Large number of products compared to nearby competitor.
C. W.
Poor layout, not disabled friendly. No carts, returns cant be done at tills. Stock range great. Easy to park, nice location.
A. K.
Huge store, bordering on the massive side where you can easily get lost. In terms of product and choice this is great but it also can be totally overwhelming. There are plenty of staff there and parking is a breeze so no issues there really.
Prices are good and as you would expect with some good offers if you hunt around a bit. There is also a cafe in there so if you get bored, hungry or just want to kill some time you can.
C. L.
Good sized DIY store offering what you would expect for hone and garden. Service decent and fair priced items.
P. A.
Great DIY shop, with everything from tools to garden furniture to kitchens etc. Love it at Christmas with a big variety of decorations. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
M. V.
It is what it is, I think everybody knows this place, well it has a really big great selection of most things along with some really helpful and friendly staff.
C. B.
In my opinion one of the best partner for people like me,
Good price and quality and staff are very friendly and helpful
Sometimes if you have to take a decision you can ask because they will give you good advice ( helpful for your pocket depend what do you wanna buy)
M. G.
Perfect for DYI projects always the staff is helpful at highest professional standards
D. G.
Beautiful potted plants of various colours, lots of nice home decorations of all sorts, and of course usuals for B&Q.
J. S.
Nice big store. Loads and loads of varieties of stock that you don't see elsewhere.
J. B.
Large DIY shop with everything you could need for a project. They Sell kitchens, bathrooms, work tools, lighting, gardening and outdoors, fencing etc.Lots of indoor and outdoor plants.
S. K.
Wonderful! Had everything we needed, reasonable price.
If you can dream it, you can do it. B&Q will help you on supplies.
D. B.
That's a big store, everything well set out when needing to find items
N. B.
Yes it's fine, depends on which staff member you talk to as to if they can help.
B. L.
Well i dont like walking round these type of stores, sometimes you have to. Looks to have reasonable selection. We wanted piece wood sawed in half on machine, but they couldn't as only set up for certain sizes. Thought that weird. At one time, they were happy to help with anything like that. But yes, would go to B&Q for diy needs i guess,
S. S.
Massive store, great staff and tons of choice. Parking was plentiful and no complaints at all. Best B&Q I have been to.
J. J.
Can always park, prices reasonable, product stock can be hit and miss so maybe prepared to order.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Toilets to.
J. A.
Prices a bit high but not locations fault. Staff very helpful saving me money
S. L.
It has lots of things u can buy. But it is a bit overpriced.
G.
Massive B&Q at Cribbs Causeway. Lots of parking outside.
Well stocked inside and outside.
Lots of trolleys.
Now have self checkouts to make it easier and quicker to get through the tills.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Trade entrance as well as normal DIYers.
Clean, tidy and well laid out.
P. H.
Surely few of us actually enjoy shopping for lights, tiles, paint, guttering, tools garden stuff and so on......surely not. But this place works. Its huge, really big. The staff are helpful, they even smile sometimes, signage not bad and the stock is vast so if you want that obscure u bend or whatever, you'll probably find it here. If you actually like this home and garden stuff, you'll love it, probably.
L. &. P. R.
Great store, well stocked. Huge choice of items.
D. A.
Called in today in a rush as I had forgotten something for a job, I met B&Q Emma in the entrance and asked if she could advise, I was instantly directed (from her memory ) to the right location and found what I needed, paid and out in 3 minutes.
If there were more staff like Emma shopping would be a better place!
W. L.
Too much stuff around, overwhelmed! The staff were very friendly though, which helped me to better pick what I needed.
A. D.
Big B&Q. Great for picking up lots of little (and big) bits and bobs you might need or want around the.
S. T.
Excellent staff left my wallet there rang them they'd found it i picked it up end of the day ........ everything including the write cash still inside.......
C. H.
Staff really helpful. Found everything we looked for. Guy on check out very helpful too when asking questions regarding turf
C. B.
Recently had a kitchen from this store and and a few items that we thought we had measured correctly were the wrong size. I called into the store and spoke to Lucy Harris( who initially placed our kitchen order). She advised us on the correct items we needed and went above and beyond to help me … What an absolute credit to the store. My wife has previously left a comment about Lucy, but I cannot express enough how helpful she is…
D. G.
The best B&Q in Bristol. Big store lot if products. Everyone find what need. Thrust me
D. W.
It's a big store and so knowing the layout is a bonus. Prices always very competitive and stock levels surprisingly high given all the supply issues we read about. Staff have always been helpful and polite. Lots of parking although like most car parks bays can be a bit tight.
P. W.
Great shop. Good layout. Right now a great range of indoor plants & springtime bulbs. Quick service at tills. My favourite B & Q to be totally honest with you. Thanks guys that work there. Love the store
E. G.
We went to purchase some laminate flooring and were very pleased they had a great offer on 4 for the price of 3 so therefore saving is some money. As we were purchasing a large amount we were eligible for free delivery and have a date for only 2 days time. The young man who helped us with everything was extremely pleasant and well mannered as well as very knowledgeable of the flooring and underlays. Will definitely use the store again
J. B.
Went to this store today to choose at new kitchen. We were very fortunate to be dealt with by Lucy Harris. Her customer service skills were outstanding. She advised us on what to choose without being pushy and was very knowledgeable on all the kitchen fixtures and fittings. What an asset to B&Q she is... I hope she gets praised for the excellent job that she does.
M. Z. G.
Good, I found what I was looking for! Even so there is a fundamental difference between the store DIY in German and UK. In German we can find any kind of thing while in the UK we can find just what normally is required. So, you like DIY cannot develop your attitudes.....
S. B.
Visited at 4p.m.good time to go as not quite so busy, amazing amount of well stocked shelves.
Wanted some paint mixed what a brilliant service, very helpful staff and bought just what l needed.
A. S.
Good range of supplies from DIY building, plumbing, tools etc. to lighting, shades & BBQs. A one stop shopping experience which is very convenient although I did find some items out of stock. Good parking and friendly helpful staff, not always very experienced & knowledgeable of their products but nethertheles they tried their best.
S. D.
Great b&q Superstore for diy and other household stuff. It is a bit pricy when compared to other local suppliers but thw wide variety in huge store does have its upside. The garden/plants section is great as well
H. K.
Biggest B&Q I've ever seen in my life! Had so much stuff for all areas of your home and garden. Member of staff was very proactive and helpful and guided me to the aisle I needed.
M. G.
But short of stock at present but isn't everyone. Nice staff on the paint desk
A. W.
Went in B@Q for a specific item got what I wanted on this occasion. I have to say not always got what I want but they have the monopoly on d.i.y there is nowhere else to go that's my only complaint. There was a time a few years ago when there were three d.i. y places in this area. Q
M. D.
Super friendly staffs (in particular the lady aupervisor near the cashiers area) and a random staff who was hurrying to something but took the time to attend to my concern. He showed me the item which was locked at the big storage cabinet near the cashier area. I got what I was looking for.
L. B.
A good b&q, everything you need. Awful website though so very difficult to check if they have something in stock
F. F.
Good store, carries most DIY goods and usually in stock. Helpful staff. Can get very busy at peak times and bank holidays / weekends.
T. M.
Returned to this store hoping to order the bathroom we had seen a few weeks ago, only to find the colour we wanted is no longer available! It was noted as 'currently unavailable' when we last saw it on display & we assumed they were awaiting stock as it was new, because it had not been in the store before. Most disappointing. Other people have said B&Q seem to change stuff so quickly, like the paint supplies.
The staff were helpful & tried other branches to see if there was stock elsewhere, but to no avail.
A. T.
I always wash my hands thoroughly afterwards. The younger customer assistants smile and are helpful but I don't expect it from more experienced ones
That way I am never disappointed. Thanks
P. H.
Helpful staff, good range of products.
K. R.
Great selection. Helpful lady at the door called Susan and customer services dealt with my refund quickly. On oir previous visit we were very disappointed with the staff in the kitchen design/services department. 4 members of staff Stood talking whilst we waited for 10 minutes trying to get their attention for a query about worktops.
Till staff very friendly and a store assistant who got some paint down for me with a cherry picker was very helpful.
J. V.
The paint mixing service is really good! I've just bought my first home and I'm a bit clueless - Zoe was really helpful and friendly and made the whole process a lot less daunting.
A. L.
Such a fab range of DIY stuffxx..
Wallpaper/paint....lighting etcxx
K. R.
Extra large version of the well known UK DIY store. This hub store also supplies North Bristol with their online deliveries, so the items are well stocked. Small garden centre area. Nice showroom displays of kitchens and bathrooms.
E. D.
U can find all basic items here. Shop layout good!easy to get around. Wallpaper section could be bigger but still thumbs up
A. B.
It was super busy and only 2 tills open with self checkout queues massive too! However a chap opened up a till and was super polite and really helpful so 👍 👌 😊
K. B.
Seems to have everything here , I always get what I want , it's a huge store ,
C. B.
No staff around to help. Those that were around were just in a daze. We asked for help told 5 mins & some one will be with you after 45 min wait we left empty handed.
C. S.
They had the materials i needed and in convenient sizes, so it made the cost of the project economical in cash terms and left overs.
M. W.
Huge store with good levels of stock. Generally always get what we need from here. Check out can be a chore but the new self service machines work great. Recommended.
B. H.
What can I say. Its a big store with loads of stock. An alladins cave of DIY plus professionals products of all kinds for your home, office, garden etc. It's not always got the item I want however the staff are helpful albeit sometimes you have to seek them out. It's well located easy to get to for a vast swathe of South Glos in which this one is located plus North Bristol. Prices are competitive not always the cheapest but most very reasonable.
A. S.
A wide selection of goods including trade, love the Valspar paint mixing station where you can get virtually any colour in Matt silk , kitchen and bathroom, in my opinion as good as the other top brands, staff very friendly and helpful
K. S.
Nice selection of different materials and appliances.
J. W.
Fairly quiet. Pointless employee on the door, proffering a feeble "hello" as I entered the store. Put them on the checkout to keep the queues down. I'd rather they were doing nothing on a checkout, ready to leap into action than doing nothing at the store entrance
K. R.
Very good for everything you can want for your home
H. B.
Queue at the operator checkout yet 3 members of staff standing and talking behind the self service checkout..... unbelievable.
Our purchases were however satisfactory.
D. C.
No cactus compost when their website say it has 7.
G. W.
2pm Friday afternoon was a small queue but entered store in 5 minutes. Plenty of stock and easy to get round. Thought checkout was so much better where trolley is parked and one steps back while employee scans stock. No physical lifting of goods so hopefully this is the way forward.
r. r.
Excellent customer service staff go above and beyond to help you. From finding items to helping load large items into the car.
B. J. L.
They've always got what I need for my DIY jobs.
J. A.
Very disappointed not to find Stihl items on sale, I was looking for a Strummer.
Had to go to our local Garden Centre to buy 1
F. G.
I looked for pot plants. They had good variety but the prices were a bit over what I would have normally expected.
H. M.
Honestly I saw the queues going in and then for the tills, I was worried, but they were actually faster than normal!
I went for a parasol there were the ones they said they had in stock there on the shelves..win!
I was pleasantly surprised.
The staff were upbeat, positive and polite.
Keep it up B&Q!
L. C.
Went to b and q today with my mum as she had issues with her kitchen from b and q in Yate. We spoke to Stacey the showroom manager and all I can say is wow, she was amazing sorted my mum's issues and also insured us she will follow up to make sure it's done. Great service.
Every time I go to b and q cribbs causeway I always like to deal with a lady called dawn, she is most helpful and knowledgeable.
B. P.
Massive store with everything you pretty much need
d.
Cheaper than I thought. Massive store and amazing range of goods. Very helpful and friendly staff. It even has a little cafe so I guess you could spend all day there 😁
H. J.
Love this B&Q. It’s massive with a wide selection. Everything is slick. In the event of a refund it’s super easy, no fuss. 5/5
E. B.
Jasmine at collections was more than helpful. Particularly for last minute Sunday afternoon. I would like to send my thanks for helping me today!
M. C.
Brilliant service at the till. very clean and open inside.
S. D.
Would have only given 1 star this morning as I had been let down with my delivery yesterday after staying in all day. On contacting customer service I was told that despite purchasing 4 concrete fence posts on Monday 9th August with delivery planned for the 16th there was no stock available and the money had been refunded into my account (the refund was £25.60 short) At no point did anyone from B & Q have the courtesy to phone and let me know that they were not able to fulfil the order and I was so annoyed at the treatment received that I contacted the store and spoke to the deputy manager Reece explaining how I felt and that the non delivery meant that the guys I had coming into to erect the fencing next day had to be put off. Reece assured me he would do his best to rectify the situation and that is exactly what he did. By midday 4 concrete posts had been delivered meaning the job could go ahead as planned. Thanks to Reece I was able to give 5 stars. Well done B & Q
J. B.
Good variation of stock staff not too friendly
j. k.
A really pleasant and knowledgeable assistant helped me today with my paint enquiries, really made my visit a 5 star experience.
So helpful and she made sure I had all the relevant details for all the item's, I will purchase on my next visit.
Thank you Lara Dana? I believe that's your name, delightful, like you.
S. M.
Easy access. Member of staff on the door. Lots of empty shelves, very strange. Few items not priced makes shopping and choosing difficult. Very organized at till points. Member of staff supervising this areA. Kept the queue moving.
t. t.
If you want to DIY it Band Q it. They got the lot
R. L.
Nice big B@Q. Nice help ful staff
S. M.
I went it to buy a some sandpaper to sand down some shelves and got to the till £515 and I didn't have any sandpaper just all new shelves and 12 other things i never knew I had lol whats going on
L. C.
Shop busy. Preferred the queuing system at the checkout which was in place before the lifting of restrictions on 16th July.
Also facing covering should be mandated. I didn't feel safe due to lack of face covering.
W. P.
Click and collect order ready to collect within the hour but only 11 out of 12 items correct, 1gutter bracket wrong profile. Error only discovered after I'd driven 20 miles home.
A. T.
Good prices and a fair selection although you might expect an even greater range considering the place is massive. Opening hours are reasonable, but the website to back things up could be better. All in all not too bad.
J. C.
Staff were really helpful, I got everything I needed before lockdown round 2 only to hear that B&Q will be open anyway. Queue at the tills was incredibly long but they had a lot of them open and it only took a few minutes to pay and get out.
C. M.
Spray and tissue to wipe trolleys in entrance and hand sanitizer available. Easy to socially distance in such a huge store. Staff not very available or helpful in the outdoor building supplies area, was difficult to find anyone to help. At the till, was charged for 6 bags not 5 so have to go back and sort that out now!
M. A.
Very busy with folk stocking up on DIY paraphernalia ready for 2nd lock down. Good organisation at the checkouts but poor organisation in the rest of the store. Aisles are crowded, no obvious one-way signage and shoppers getting VERY close to others with no awareness whatsoever of personal space
P. L.
Not easy to navigate, but eventually I got what I needed.
J. “. G.
Biggest store in Bristol, has everything you'll need, including a burger van in the car park. Plus all the other stores to hand if you need them. Pain department are very helpful if your stuck choosing a colour
C. R.
Good clean friendly place good deals
S. J.
Place is rather untidy and hard to find what you want ..aisle numbers not matching goods and especially the screws nails etc (small stuff) the place resembled a jumble sale .. good luck finding the piece you need. Very good range of stuff and friendly staff in all areas just do not expect a quick visit!
D. B.
Staff super friendly and helpful
J. R.
Excellent service from the gentleman cutting timber.
A. G.
Usual B&Q as per all others. Fairly good choice.
T.
One star knocked off due to the check out system...why don't they pop up a diy traffic light system to show when the till is free...green for free, red for busy...the "Shouty-McShout Face" staff member can then get on the till and we can all get out sooner. If the supermarkets can do it, for at least the last 30 years, I'm sure they can...!
Or maybe their profit margins aren't good enough, although every visit I seem to spend upwards of £40+..!..and as they shout out loud, it's like being back in the school playground and quite jarring as we walk by at the same time. Heart attack city...
J. C.
Most of the stuff needed for DIY in yhe house and gardening available here. Some real healthy plants too , lot better than my local b&q.
j. c.
Staff great still using sanatiser thankful for something still in place majority of public still wearing masks unfortunately, younger people not and a few elderly which are the vunerable and the spreaders , went in for light fitting s and although found what I needed didnt appear well stocked for choice in lampshades or ceiling fittings.
D. P.
Great place, helpful staff but prices seem to keep growing and growing. Less expensive places around with same items. Such a shame, it used to be my go to store for nearly everything, not anymore.
S. H.
I have been here several times. And used click and collect several times to.
In all my visits the staff have been helpful, and informative.
Safety guidelines have always been met.
P. O.
Like any other company - they have good and bad days. They didn't have items I wanted in stock but two days later they managed to get them for me.
N. J.
Good selection of everything in stock and for you to have a look... It's one of the bigger B&Q's that has everything. The staff have a good system in place for COVID-19, Albeit none of the staff wearing masks.
E. T.
Easy parking, plenty of space in store, huge range of products, helpful staff
A. H.
First visit since social distancing measures were put in place. Queuing system outside store very self explanatory. Staff polite when informing customers about wiping trolleys etc. One way system in store clear.
D. L.
Very good indeed. We had a motley selection of things to get. Helpful staff seemed to turn up to help just at the right moment and we very quickly got everything we needed
r. f.
Kwyn is a top bloke helped me out massively phoned up and reserved tiles for me at different bnq stores he was a great help
S. J.
Some people not following requests to distance yourselves, everything else was as expected.
The entrance had products to clean hands & carts, the walkways were all clearly marked out with 2M distancing and someone was there to direct you to an empty till.
Not too many people and everything you might need still available.
T. K.
Dont think garden centre bit fully stocked but quite a few guys working to improve...bbq I wanted out of stock so dis..good to see people keeping it safe at tills..all and all ok.
P. T.
Visited on a Sunday about 2pm. Fairly busy. Social distancing was OK, but having products on the end of aisles is impractical and makes social distancing impossible, especially when the products are power tools and you need some time. As a consequence I didn't buy.
B. B.
Easy to social distance. Great staff. Great shop. Not as good a tool range as I was expecting. And some items were expensive compared to competition.
D. M.
Had a click and collect for 3 sheets of plasterboard. Long waiting time, no help offered to get plasterboard into vehical. Although I understand its 2 metres distance we could of done that with the sheets of plasterboard.
S. J.
Great place and friendly staff.
T. R.
Cutting service not available, as the saw was broken, so we couldn't get a board cut into manageable pieces and no wood the size we required for supports for shelves. So a completely wasted visit.
P. T.
Had to take something back, no issues with a refund. Good service
C. C.
Burger van in the car park is amazing ,,best burger I've had in a long time
S. B.
Very handy and helpful staff
P. S.
It's just OK. Very few staff available most of the time considering how big it is. Inflated pricing for many items. Common to find things out of stock and no internal shipping between stores is available.
R.
B&q with a garden centre, no different to any other b&q, it is what it is.
J. H.
Really good large B&Q with a very good range of pretty much everything! Staff very helpful.
M. H.
Have spent many hours in this Aladdin's cave of DIY goodness. Not always the cheapest option but has a good selection and is very convenient. Ability to get a coffee helps occupy other family members who might not be as enthusiastic about my current project.
S. V.
Absolutely amazing branch with an excellent service. We have just been at least 4 outlet looking for complete kitchen and bathrooms to refurbish our house we came across to couple of wonderful staff members name Bri Morris and Stacey a special thanks to them we managed to get all we need for our 3bathrooms and 2 kitchens at the very reasonable price.
What a relief. I strongly recommend this branch for brilliant customer service.
Thank you again.
Pickky and Sami
S. K.
Good, 99% of customers had masks on. Didn't have everything on my list, some basic items like building sand were all sold out.
S. P.
Onl would have been 1 star but for the help given by Lewis (manager). Despite the web site showing 180+ boards in stock, they were all on a high shelf and needed a forklift to lift them down (which they won't do while the store is open). On the first visit they promised to get them down for the next day but when I got there they were still unaccessible. They got them down for my third visit and Lewis made sure that I was compensated for the inconvenience.
T. S.
I travelled to B&Q as usually they are reliable in having a good selection of paints although on this occasion I was disappointed as they didn't have the brand or selection I expected. I couldn't fault staff they were very helpful and gave me alternatives.
P. G.
We found everything we needed, so that's good, but only a couple of tills were open despite the queues, and no one bothered with face coverings, even if they were in direct contact with the customers :(
R. S.
Very helpful staff directed me to the aisle where I was able to find what I needed. There is a wide variety of goods at competitive prices. Check out was quick and easy.
C. H.
A massive store with almost everything you could need. Staff can be hard to track down for help but are usefull when you do.
M. M.
All you need for your home or business
G. B.
Straight forward purchase, items in stock & purchased, used click and collect, told items ready for collection. Went to collect, but queue was long so left it for late afternoon to find no queue at all. Will use again.
J. L.
Good store for lots of things and having a membership card get discounts on certain items at different times which is brilliant. Some wonderful home pieces too at moderate prices again going online may get you a better deal. Really like this place friendly helpful staff there to assist too.
A. P.
Didn't have everything I needed despite it saying available when i checked on line. Did do a good discount on some damaged products though so not all bad.
S. T.
Good time to go in the evening’s,
Not much staffing levels, but you still get great service from the staff still working.
S. M.
Good selection of bits for home & garden
M. B.
The item we wanted wasn't on the shelf so the assistant "went out back" to get one for us which we really appreciated.
m. r.
Really quiet on a Thursday evening. Person at door to ensure sanitizing on entry. Colour paint mixing available. Very helpful staff.
T. B.
Very large store, Well laid out and plenty of choice. Parking was easy as was access.
J.
What I find annoying in this store now, is the fact you can't order in advance. So for instance, with tiles or wooden flooring, it's whats on the shop floor. Then you have to wait for the next stock delivery, which your not allowed to pay or put a deposit on, you have to call on the day, then go down and hope no one else has got there before you. All this and they still might not have all you need.
Come on B&Q a paying customer must be worth accommodating
M. F.
I have to say that our first visit to this store was a pleasure. We needed to return and change flooring we had ordered online but was the wrong size.We were reimbursed in minutes and advised and guided to the flooring we needed. We met 5 members of staff in stages and found them polite, knowledgeable and helpful. We left with exactly what we needed due to their help and and advise.Thank you B and Q staff.
R. M.
Pulled into the carpark purely to get an ice cream each as we new the ice cream van would be there. The 5 star rating is actually for him as the ice creams were great, reasonably priced and he was really friendly. Great customer service. Thank you.
M. H.
Fab range of stuff at good prices. Usual fiasco at the tills though. Todays delay due to inexperienced male staff more interested in discussing last night's fight outside the pub than being pressed into clearing the queue. Can't have everything I guess.
P.
Staff were numerous and very helpful during a busy Saturday lunchtime.
Discounts on turf and spades were appreciated.
Pity the toilets were closed.
A. J. K.
timber racks were well stocked so hopefully the stock flow is getting back to normal,
P. B.
Every product you can think of in a huge well laid out warehouse. Amazing paint mixing service- very helpful and surprisingly quick!
M. H.
It's a shame that they no longer have a coffee shop
g. k.
Very good set up. But WHY must we take a trolley when I am only buying items that can be carried? Please give me a real plausible reason for that.
T. F.
Normal B&Q however prices have increased
M. K.
I'm finding it increasingly hard to find what I'm looking for here. Some simple things they don't have, and stuff they used to sell is no longer available. I asked a young man where florescent tubes were and he looked completely blank until I explained what they looked like & what they're for. Then he showed me the small thin ones that go under cupboards but I wanted the fatter 5' ones for a garage light. "Sorry, this is all our range..." he said.
8.
I went to get plants and the lady out in the garden section was so helpful, she even helped pick out the best plants. Then at the till the lady was helpful and friendly. Nice shopping at b&q today 10/10.
E.
Quite a queue to get in, no baskets available either which made picking stuff up a bit of a faff. But the queues and told were well organised and they had some decent covid measures in place
G. R.
Vast store, had what I needed. Staff helpful minimal queuing at checkout.
t. t.
Quick polite and efficient service.
M. S.
Lovely, if heaven was a diy store it would be a b and q. Joking aside, never had any issues in store, click or collect or delivery.
J. B.
Since they were bought out by new owners, I think the store layout has improved massively. When I do any home DIY, I come here. The choice and availability is great.
A. W.
Always get a very good service
J. F.
Really nice, helpful and friendly staff.
I've been shopping here for years and never had a bad experience, first class.
C. C.
Purchased outdoor lights & bulbs, so easy to find what I wanted. The wall light box tells you which bulbs you need & the bulbs are stocked numerically, brilliant. Great value for money too.
r. a.
Customer service is not so great and pricy as usual
C. M.
Big store, had everything I needed today. Good prices
R. B.
I found everything I needed. It would have been 5 stars but had a worktop cut. Double checked the young man had right messurements. But when I got home the cut piece was half an inch to short. Returned it same man was there he was very apologetic about his mistake. All corrected without any fuss. We checked it before I left. All ok. First time this has happened to me. Mistakes happen sometimes.
M. F.
We were amazed at how much B&Q have improved. Suddenly, everyone's so helpful, management must have changed. Been there a couple of times recently to buy tiles, lights etc and the staff are amazingly helpful! Went yesterday and bought some soil for the hanging baskets. A young chap carried the sacks to the car for us and we'd only spent a tenner! Full marks to Mark & Adam for politeness and assistance. Defo recommended highest!
R. R.
Safe environment to do your shopping, was quite busy but we quickly went around the store, the queue for the tills was well organised and fast.
M. D.
Bought some tiles, whoopie-do!
W. D.
Great free cutting of wood service
Very friendly helpful boy who had finished work but carried on cutting.Thank you
B. M.
Absolutely delighted with the staff there today so helpful it was a pleasure to go to store, they couldn't have been more helpful,10 out of ten for me
R. P.
Amy and Callum were superstars today with my paint mixing. Super helpful, friendly and professional, whilst under a lot of pressure, as the store was so busy!
A. G.
Pritty standard B&Q, sells every you may need for your home diy. Sometimes the store layout can be hard to understand but they do place staff members around the shop that can help and or offer support at any time which is very usfull. There is lots of parking. They also have trolleys and baskets of any size to help you. If you want timber cut they can do that.
m. l.
Visited their longwell green store in Bristol on Monday for led lamps I required 75 watt daylight bulb.got one,but when I switched on its warmwhite.so return to cribbs store on Wednesday for refund..had a look at their display of lamps, far better range.and including daylight lamps.
D. “. C.
While I'm extremely grateful that B&Q offer priority queuing for NHS staff, I can't help but feel a bit peeved that the item I wanted - that was showing X2 in stock on the website, was in fact out of stock in store.
D. H.
Excellent store with a huge choice of stock all reasonably priced. Ample carparking and easily located off J17 of the M5
I. H.
Very helpful staff, extremely clean, and always a good place to get what you want.
L. C.
I have just been to the Cribbs Causeway store. Queued up like other customers, asked by the steward to take a trolley and disinfect it with the equipment supplied. I was then told it is all one way, which is ok considering the times we are in. Meandering through the store on the route provided keeping my distance. But all the tradesmen and builders dont think this control includes them, they're ignorantly walking anywhere. Pig ignorant. The management need to get a grip on this.
T. B.
Took a while getting in but that's only to be expected with what's going on, they're doing very well with keeping us safe and themselves, its changed a bit inside regards to the layout and how you pay buts it's all good.
S. R.
Has everything you need for the house and garden, but tends to be pricey sometimes. Make sure you know what your looking for before you arrive. The staff aren't always clued up about their products but sometimes you get lucky.
J. W.
A good store, you can lose your kids here and enjoy some personal time. A really good amount of products, staff reasonably helpful
D. R.
Excellent place, not too busy deals of certain products, everything you need for those odd jobs that need doing this summer
C. S.
A great range of products, including varying price and quality ranges. It is generally good value for money and the staff are very friendly. The staff aren't always very knowledgeable however and the stock is very sporadic.
M. R.
Felt very safe and staff very efficient. Reassured me that shops are making such a wonderful effort at making as safe as they can make it. Very impressed.
S. R.
Nice store. Quite well signed, but if you can't find anything there are lots of knowledgeable staff around.
M. K.
B&Q had what I needed but very disorganised. Loose items were all over the place, wasted 30 mins looking for the right parts in the wrong places.
D. L.
A very large B&Q. Lots of stock, Lots of choice. This is not my local store, but it's worth the trip because of the stock that they hold.
D. D.
Newly converted. Has all you need for diy jobs! The fact the entrance is near the exit is a much improved position then before😉 lots of offers etc and people on board to help. Although I find the passion and knowledge from the staff is not on par with local independent diy stores.
J. M.
Staff did not put themselves out. Said where things were and then tgey were out of stock or no longer stocked. Waste of time
T. A.
Three stars beacuse range is mega bad. Its part of Kingfisher plc who own few DIY brands but i can put one B&Q in one corner of european shops. Everything else is fine from my point of view/ experience.
A. H.
I go here regularly to pick up sand, cement, plaster etc, always plenty in stock and reasonable prices, also has a large timber yard and cutting facility for mdf and plywood
G. H.
Large store with huge selection of stock. Good place to buy power tools as they are regularly on offer. Wood can be cut to required length on request.
M. F.
B&Q is OK but I find it quite expensive to be honest with you. Good range of paints and other tools, furniture and plants but you can get all these items cheaper elsewhere.
A. G.
They were very helpful when we needed to return items.
V.
Easy when you find your item online and know where to find it in store!
I. R.
Good variety of products, much faster through the tills now the Covid restrictions have been relaxed.
L. R.
Very friendly member of staff at the paint desk, helped me understand why my white paints weren't matching despite being the same paint
A. A.
I really like this store. It takes a while to find things but the staff are great. And everything I need for the house .garden. and fence is all under the one Roof.and the plants are lovely.
Q.
I would like to say a massive thanks to Wez at you’re Cribbs Causeway branch who excelled himself for me when it came to buying some tiling for my house. We came in with measurements in feet and he converted it to square meters for us and told us exactly how much we needed and then advised us on the adhesive and glue.
After this he mentioned he worked in click and collect department, we thought he was a flooring guru.
A true gent who couldn’t have been more helpful and a credit to to b and q. (And he smelled lovey I have to say).
Leah from Gloucester.
J. J.
Always has loads of stuff but just like every bnq, unless you frequent them regularly you always have to ask someone to show you to the place where you will find your thing..... but that means finding someone to show which can be a real pain into the backside.
The mind boggles why they don’t just put a store guide/map on display where you enter the shop. Seems obvious
2. X.
Huge store polite staff unfortunately didn't have what I needed due to supply chain issue but well worth the visit
P. G.
DIY store. Had everything we needed. Could have had more checkouts open so we didn't have to wait as long to pay. Not much else to say.
P. A.
Huge queue for the store, but we did click and collect, we were served in seconds at a separate entrance, very friendly staff, superb organisation, well done
P. M.
Barbeque was fine, as always 😘 but some of the staff... Like they haven't heard of covid or work... Chatting for a minute while blocking a queue of costumers, desperate to keep 2m apart.
K. R.
It's a B&Q. It sells DIY stuff. It's OK. You want advice, go to Mogfords in Westbury-on-Trym. Mogfords is better than B&Q for more traditional stuff as well.
N. C.
Good sized store with normally plenty of stock. Pretty much has everything you need.
S. H.
Long delays at click and collect, Pedestrians in road in carpark and debris all over the walkway in garden centre! At least all was true as opposed to what the signage on most smart motorways tell you!
D. J.
Great for buying wood, good selection of treated outdoor wood and untreated. Best bit is they cut it down to size for you free of charge. Definately helps to get it in the van😉
L. P.
Got everything I needed. Helpful staff. Bit short on plants though. But they had what I wanted so no complaints.
P. L.
Great big B&Q with everything you need for DIY and the such! If you can’t find what you need here, there’s no hope!!!
S.
Awesome, great selection of stuff and staff always helpful
A. R.
Sales advisor Katie very friendly and professional in her approach to tend to our needs when selecting products to complete our bathroom refurbishment
J. “. E.
A big store where you spend a lot of time looking for what you need...
M. B.
Google are stalking me ☹️ but this actually is the best place I have ever been in my life🤪
S. H.
It's a DIY store, didn't have what we needed this visit but usually not too bad.
K. L.
Large store. Had everything I needed in stock. The staff were helpful and friendly. Would shop here again.
d. m.
Social distancing gone mad, too many one way systems, very hard to navigate, checkout system has got much worse considering that they've been trading for several weeks. Don't go there unless you really have to!
M. P. R. S.
Good establishment, well lit and easy to find what you're looking for. They didn't have what we wanted but found a lot of other interesting and helpful things instead.
L. S.
First time visiting and for a such big branch lack of screws and other DIY materials a bit low. And not much help from some staff.
R. M.
Ok for a large shopping centre.
R. T.
They've recently completely refurbed June 2016 and has a much better layout. Excellent Parking although the outdoor garden area is now a little smaller
L.
The wife and i went to order some paint this evening and was helped by a young man called Sam. He was very helpful friendly and informative.
Thanks Sam.
R. M.
staff is helpful enough but don't expect builder experts. Some areas of the store are badly organised and some other B&Q stores (Yate, Stoke Gifford...) made much better impression on me.
M. H.
Looking for kitchen units? Look no further.
A. P.
It's a b n q! It has, I would say, a large range of things that b and q sells, um had to cut visit short because of there fire alarm, but I could spend a lot of time looking around saying 'oooh that's a good idea' or "Ooh I want that" so if you need garden or home ideas I'd check it out you might go home with a new kitchen! You never know.
E. T. R. L.
So friendly and helpful and great stock.
D.
A typical B&Q with a wide range of items. But the layout of the store makes it difficult to get around - can feel like IKEA sometimes.
A. G.
I was able to find the radiator I needed with ease. It was quiet akward to lift. I could not find a person to help ... But however a friendly customer gave me a hand.
K. H.
Click & collect didn’t work too well had to wait while they went into the shop for items, then we had a txt next day asking us to collect our order.
R. P.
Looking for a few plants to finish off some pots for my daughter as she had just moved into a new home. Found some great reduced bedding plants. Very pleased
😀
A. C.
Pale shadow of its former self. And why do they never have the screws/nails/bolts I need. Those shelves need sorting out.
R. W.
Very helpful young lady on phone found what I was looking for and put it to one side for me to collect. Also check out staff very cheerful and polite. All round a joy to shop there thankyou
P. “. o. B. W.
Very Helpful, welcoming Staff always got what ever I am looking for and not much waiting time around at the tills easy access all around the store..
R. O.
Great service from click and collect. Easy to order online and then a dedicated entrance and staff to handle the collection. Very pleased with the service.
A. K.
I would like to point out the following staff for outstanding service when B&Q & myself were let down by DX on my recent purchase of laminate flooring. Dawn for working hard to remedy the situation making numerous phone calls when delivery didnt arrive & putting the customer 1st for a change, rare in retail from big corps, Cath & colleague on click & collect who found my emergency order & worked their way around a rigid protocol so that i could get my goods from store, Erik on flooring for his personal shopping skills for matching up scotia to my flooring & loading trolley plus finding correct threshold to finish job, also Simon on hardware for his knowledge & advice when chosing a wall bracket for TV..the staff associated with my visit were a credit to b&q, they thought out of the company policy box & were on the side of the consumer, 4 days later i get a txt from DX 2 say my order is now coming, pity they didnt txt to tell me it wasnt arriving when planned in the 1st place!! Good on u Cribbs for excellent service, the abovementioned staff in particular...& my floor looks amazing, thanku😊
A. J.
Massive DIY store, currently appearing to be undergoing some rearranging or modernisation so products in different places and not quite so easy to find. I'm sure a temporary situation. Staff friendly and helpful.
L. B.
Queues very long because of the new lockdown measures but everyone was still attended to in good time and customer service didn't seem to suffer from the extra pressure I'm sure the staff were under. Thanks guys!
D. W.
I found that BQ have certain small products that are alot cheaper in other shops, I had to buy some painting equipment ie brushes and roller which BQ sold all separate brushes for £4+ I went to b and m s and got a set for £7-99 plus roller for same price with 9extras spare trays and rollers, the same thing 6 brushes and rollers would of cost over £50 at BQ
N. S.
You would be hard pushed to not find everything you need here, although there have been a few instances where they have had the item I needed just not the quantity I needed, so always worth checking online before heading there.
D. T.
Current levels of stock looked good, would have liked Trade counter to take non trade customers when they were not busy
K. J.
Although everything in stock, once again very slow check out. Most of the tills seemed to be out of action and the bar scanner readers had flat batteries.
a. j.
Fantastic with nearly everything you might need for home improvement
D. J. M.
All the staff were charming and polite, no complaints at all.
Big thumbs up
B. Q.
A great place to get almost anything you need on the D.I.Y front from gardening to electronics and back again. Friendly and helpful staff, decent prices, easy access.
A. D.
Couldn't find a member of staff to actually help me and most of the stuff is a bit more rubbish than a proper builders merchants. But they're open on a Sunday, so that helps.
A. K.
There are a variety of products for building and repairing this place and it is a wonderful place and I like it
J. R.
Has almost everything you need at a reasonable price no complaints here
j. g.
What more can you say about B&Q? Its got the lot here in a huge superstore style outlet. Everything you need for DIY, home improvements and outdoor garden works, its here..... some things can be a bit pricey, but then, its a convenient one stop store that stocks the lot!
H. T.
The Valspar counter are brilliant, very helpful!
G. R.
I go to the place pretty often. Easy to park outside. They have done a store restructure and improved a lot of stuff. I have always found the staff so, so though.
G. A.
Ordered online and took my item from the click and collect point. Nice staff.
S. P.
Only had some of what I needed... As usual 🤨
l. t.
Easy access, always plenty of stock
K. J.
Great plants and garden stuff. Cheap sand and wood. Always a bargain to be found for the diy lovers and the serious crafters!
D. C.
Lucy was full of knowledge when enquiring about a kitchen when we have made are decision on kitchen range we will definitely return to see lucy
M. W.
Does what it says on the tin. Large B&Q with a good selection of stock. Not very well laid out though. Recommended.
S. C.
Great when you need some DIY stuff. It is what it is. Staff on the whole are helpful when you can get hold of one which isn't as bad as it had been in the past.
T. O.
OK place for diy and not bad for gardening for bits and pieces.. But be careful.. look at the price of the same item next to the one you've buying as b&q make you pay more for one item and less for two items of the same thing....
K. S.
GREAT STORE very big and packed with DIY treasures.
T. A.
Always enjoy shopping here. Staff is great.
A. B.
Huge! Had everything we needed, reasonably easy to find things too despite it being massive.
M. D.
Timber stocks were non existent yesterday. Had to go to Emerson's green where they had loads of the timber I needed.
P. T. A.
Jess is great easy to work with on kitchens or bathroom designs very friendly nothing too much trouble.
G. Z.
Multifinish in stock
Super
D. B.
Undoubtedly the best national chain of DIY stores in the UK. If it hasn't got what you're looking for then you don't need it.
Think it through...
D.
They have nearly everything, but at a higher price than other DIY stores. I go here when Screwfix, Selco or Wickes don't have what I need.
B. J. G.
Went to look at lights but not a great selection, found next home had much better range
S. L.
Always stocked with what I need, but the staff are usually quite unpleasant.
S. H.
Had what I went for, quiet at the time no waiting around. So all good.
R. N.
Lovely staff on the checkouts chatty and friendly. The store suffers from a very poor layout which can make it difficult to find what you're looking for.
J. W.
A huge b & q With very friendly staff And Highly Knowledgeable. fantastic range of products would highly recommend
S. H.
Returned a item all good, easy process.
A. C.
Ordered online via click and collect, arrived to collect and goods ready. Very impressed with service
A. N.
This store needs a serious revamp to ensure stock is available and kept efficiently and tidily.
K. K.
Nice shop
D. W.
Very helpful staff nothing was to much for them to help you
M. F.
As usual, found all I needed for my latest DIY project. Aladdins cave full of stuff !
J. P.
Went in for a design consultation on my kitchen. Staff were friendly and helpful with of course, good prices. Would recommend!
m. s.
Seen to straight away. And order put through no problem
N. N.
Its almost always a good experience and value added products but sometimes you cant find what you are looking far spending too long time between the aisles and no single one of them is around
j. f.
Helpful staff and huge stock availability. Very enjoyable visit.
M. K.
Went to B&Q Cribbs yesterday for paint, couldn’t find what I was looking for but Wez was really helpful went out of his way to explain and help find everything I needed, credit to the store!
S. D.
As all B & Qs a lot of their products are overpriced, but at least in this store the staff are really amazing and so helpful. The store itself needs better signage too.
G. L.
Easy to find everything. Love the displays they sometimes give you some good ideas. Staff were very friendly.
P. H.
Before renovation all was easy to find. No it's bit tricky.... Staff very helpful, small cafeteria with some food. Not bad apart of relocation of all staff.
B. H.
Always has good stock levels and helpful staff. Have pit some very sensible social distancing measures in place
m. h.
Great 👍
J.
Variety of products, helpful staff and lots of parking
J. Z.
Love the place but poor selection of chalk paint. Perhaps due to covid? Only few colours available
L. T.
Only used the collection point, but the staff were super friendly and very knowledgeable
s. e.
Good range if stock, big car park. Overpriced like any big hardware chain but convenient!
