Called into B&Q Yate today to try and source a replacement toilet, with specific water inlet option - Served by an unbelievably helpful young lady called Evie, who went out of her way to check and get answers on all of my questions.

J. S.Why have an online stock system that supposedly shows how many of a product you have in store, if when you turn up you have none. This has happened multiple times now! unacceptable! Do a stock take and sort it out, or ditch the system all together. Waste of my time and I'm sure many others.
J. G.I pop in regularly to the Yate store , and often see Sam and the team there all very helpful, friendly and welcoming. I love the quality of the plants and regularly buy in quantity. Great to see the store under refurb and the garden centre in tip top condition. Good to see Aldi are not moving in so we keep the size of this DIY in Yate. I even popped back in later and bought some wallpaper rolls.

S. “. O.B&Q has had a refresh. The car park has new tarmac, the collection point is now a large area in the store making that process much slicker. There's self service checkouts, as well as manned tills too. They even have Click and Collect car parking spaces right at the front so you can jump in quick and pick up your item... But... Those spaces are currently full of trolleys, which is a bit odd. When that's sorted, 5 stars.

I found it a bit of a challenge to find light bulbs at this visit, but staff are patient and helpful, so not so much of a problem, really.

A. S.Good size store, useful location with parking and usually easy to find what you need. Staff are always friendly. But it's so overpriced! In desperation I needed to buy a few things for a project but paid over a tenner more than I've seen elsewhere. Like others have said I felt very ripped off.
P. T.Very helpful young lady member of staff showed me where the Dulux colour guide was. Bought a 5 pack of Harris paint brushes for £15, good value I thought.

Aisha assisted us with our kitchen planning, she was absolutely outstanding. Her knowledge, communication skills and friendliness were 100%. A credit to this store.
P.It's a slightly smaller B&Q which lacks the stock range you may see elsewhere, actually the store itself feels a little rundown, a little cramped but nevertheless it's useful for a range of materials and via click and collect. Note there is no separate door for click and collect so be prepared to queue at the main door for click and collect unlike most other B&Qs.
G. B.A very handy b&q in the centre of Yate not the biggest but still plenty of choice and more likely to have what you need. Friendly service too.

S. L.New Covid queuing to pay system is much better than the old system and it is less crowded than before - which is great. They are not ripping customers off with masks as the prices are the same as pre Covid times. Also now contactless paying. Restocking taking longer
A. P.Not the biggest B&Q, but had everything I needed. Screws and nails section could do with a sign so you can see it from the front of the store, but that's the only niggle.
Staff were friendly, queues were short and parking was free and plentiful.

A. L.This for me who does not have a car is one of the easier B & Qs to get to and is within easy reach of Yate train station (easy from the other end too) and I find the staff here are friendly and it is a well stocked B & Q
I find the lampshades good value and there is a good selection (the other shops that I used on the high street have closed down)
It is good for me to be able to still used these places - I go there if I can bring the stuff home on my bike and use the trains during the weekdays when they are not so busy and the shop is quieter too (usually in the morning)

P. E.It's the usual B&Q. Unhelpful staff and things arranged here there and everywhere. Got what we needed and left. On the positive side there is excellent parking and it's just over the road from Morrison's. Interestingly they have removed the discount on Wednesday for B&Q cardholders which I think is a mistake.
S. B.Easy parking and access. Plenty of choice. Note being a normal sized store there are no public toilets or cafe but Yate shopping centre is just across the road.
