Friendly customer service, got what we came for (paint), plenty of parking. However very untidy and chaotic with too much stuff everywhere for an all round positive experience.

Big thank you to Jordan for helping me with 8 large bags of gravel . Jordan not only showed me where to find the gravel but loaded my trolley , took it through the till area and then lifted them into my car being very caefully as he put them in . Excellent customer service Jordan thank you again.

Had a voucher there and I feel it totally worth it. Got everything I needed . Has a good layout and some of the articles are cheaper than other retailers. Definitely worths a peak. It is a big one with a wide range of articles.

I have missed homebase near me in Suffolk so traveled to Essex, looked nice big store with lots of after Christmas sale items. I went to the checkout with 5 items . 3 were incorrectly priced on shelf, good job I checked prices before paying, left the 3 behind.

Normal shop, nothing get my attention. I was looking for a specific item, and I didn't found it. I was looking for a ventilator fan with cooling system, and they didn't have it. Walk all around the shop and nothing got my attention.

It stocks a good range but the store does look a bit tatty now, find the customer service desk is either not manned or very slow but overall it's got plenty of stock, will probably struggle with the new b&q opening nearby so good luck homebase!

Gets 4 stars for now, due to good customer service experience from my visit today (very polite and very helpful). Store is situated in a good location with easy access and plenty of parking. Stocks huge range of products, branded and non-branded, some products are over priced in my opinion as I know they are cheaper in competitors stores.

It's a reasonable size, conveniently located and with its own carpark. They stock a reasonable range of stuff but I feel there is an over-emphasis on garden furniture and huge barbecues. It is annoying that they don't sell window washing liquid any more, especially as they sell the tools for that job. Customer service is good.

Clean tidy store, lady on help desk very nice gave me good advice but hard to find any staff to help, toilets not brilliant loo rolls on floor wet all the way through and old loo roll centres on floor. Prices pretty much the same as anywhere else but staff l did find cheerful and friendly.

Visited the Homebase Stanway, Colchester store on Tues 4th August,to discuss ordering Bedroom furniture. I spoke with a sales advisor by the name of Marie Clare ,who was most pleasant ,efficient and knowledgable. Her advice was in invaluable. Marie Clare processed the order without any issues. It made a refreshing change to be looked after so well. Thank you. Michael . Also l needed some guidance on paint availability,spoke with Sandra on the help desk, who checked out a number of products and even found them on the shelves for me. Really pleasant and helpful Lady. Michael.

Went in the other day, and I was surprised at the amount of items for sale that were in the aisles, at the ends of aisles, in passages etc. Must be expecting a Xmas rush!
