First visit today was after for some wood for a garage roof and have to say they really looked after us (me and wife) went out showed us what we needed no rush or push on time customer service was with our a shadow of doubt the best we’ve had from any building merchants or supplies. Would like to mention Pete bates him self for looking after us and taken his time with us we’ll be back 100%

I went to Bates for some decking. Let me start off by saying the staff is amazing. Very helpful and polite. Pete helped me to sort out the decking and delivery times. We specifically asked to have them go to our neighbors who let them on our property because we were away. They did that and even stacked the decking in our back garden. Top notch company. Even asking questions about the decking oil and how long to wait to treat it. They were patient with me the whole time. I highly recommend Bates.

We have been a customer of Bates timber for many years, from before there move to their new location in Coventry. Obviously they sell timber, they also cut the timber to size and are able to create special timber capping we have needed for our showroom It is a great company to deal with. A large range of timber products normally in stock, ready to be collected and delivered. The staff have great communication skills, are very knowledgeable and patient., We often collet from their yard, which is a large yard and easy to access with a vehicle. We highly recommend Bates Timber.

I have found these guys about 10 years ago for some big projects I was working on at home and at that time the customer service was great and continued to use them for other projects. I had not used them for about 3 years (no projects to speak of) and all I can say is it still fantastic service and Elliot was a top man sorting out my order - I would recommend them 100% of the time, All of the time.

Great service! I called up Bates with clueless concept of building decking in my garden, I gave a chap called Gavin measurements and within 10 mins he gave me a price and organised exactly how much timber I needed and low and behold everything gets delivered I've built my decking with a little over what I needed. Bates' have always been a quality firm ever since the first day I used them years ago on the old Foleshill road site. All the staff are great, happy to help and give you what you need and far cheaper than the big outlets. I recently had a big order (for me) during the lockdown period and again, they were brilliant and honest in keeping me informed of their ability to supply my as a non trade customer. Excellent service, will use them as long as they are there and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

on a bad day you can wait a while to be seen, or the car parking can be bad but this is for a reason, they are good and these issues are a rarity. This place is very helpful, reasonably priced, polite, reliable and when a problem occurs you are the first to know. You cant help but feel that these guys have your best interests at heart and want to keep your business, use them, stick with them and you cant go wrong!

Went there for one stair handrail, served by Kyle? he showed us all the styles, couldn't be more helpful or pleasant.You'd think we were spending hundreds of pounds there instead of £20ish. Carried it to the car for us as well, what a star. As Arnie says ( I'll be back! )

We use Bates timber for all of our timber needs at Coventry Bathrooms. From studded wall timber, replacement floor joists and marine ply for bathroom floors Bates supplies it all.
