It's an okay store, but the prices are a little steep for some items. We went months ago for a replacement smoke alarm, but the prices were extortionate and so we ended up getting on from argos instead! But other times, it can be okay. Just a few weeks ago I got 10 bags of compost for £30. It's an okay store, but it pays to keep a sharp eye on comparing like for like items at other stores.

Ok for DIY stuff at reasonable prices. The management seem to have missed a trick however, with the nearby B & Q store closing they should have increased there stock. I visited recently and found the place rather untidy, bits lying on the floor easy for trip hazards. Shame on you, health and safety would have a field day

Love this store. Sometimes the plants out the back look a bit sorry for themselves though. Wish they were looked after more. But always quick through the till and always so good offers on. Great customer service. I called ahead to check if the store was still providing the Dulux paint mixing service and the man on the phone was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and informative, whilst ensuring I wouldn’t have a wasted visit, as certain stock was limited. He also gave me a quick overview of how the colour matching works etc. When we arrived, an extremely friendly welcoming chap on the door ensured we knew to sanitise and didn’t make us feel like we were to 100th customers that he’d had to guide into the store. The same guy was then helpful with the colour mixing and showed excellent personable skills. When we eventually finished shopping and went to the tills, he was working there too! We were politely guided to a till that would mean quicker service. All of the staff were extremely busy whilst multi tasking and all done with upbeat, friendly and welcoming attitudes. It’s as if they enjoyed there jobs and helping customers! I will definitely return to this store as the staff really made it a positive experience, even considering the current situation.

Excellent staff. I went during social distancing restrictions, the staff were very helpful and followed the restrictions perfectly. A staff member monitoring store numbers at the entrance was also letting people know what was sold out so they didn't have to bother queuing unnecessarily. Just bought a lovely kitchen from this store. Great price in the sale! We were served by Lewis who was really helpful. Had a bit of an issue with measurements ( no fault of anyone's, just slight misunderstanding) and Lewis sorted it out really quickly which gave me piece of mind. He was brill! Found this store to be well stocked, covid19 measures were in place and being followed well by staff. Prices were good, range was good. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the store was a bit untidy (messy but clean) which was a little frustrating at times.

Given the current pandemic,massively impressed with the managers approach to advising every customer of the trading, distancing rules. An absolute joy ti watch the manager take a genuine pride and concern not only for each and every customer well being but also explained that he was not simply looking out for his customers but was and is massively concerned and protective off his staff. A true gentleman and totally understood and delivered his responsibility.A other staff were vigilant and caring. I have been shielding as have high Rusk due to cardiac condition and was a little nervous in going out for the first time in over 10 weeks homemade made me delivery comfortable and safe. A real lesson ti be learnt from all the staff and a brilliant manager.many thanks Pete & Jisue Williams

Nice selection of wallpapers, staff were very helpful with the decking. Even cut the two slats I was buying to size for me. Good range of things, some things are slightly over priced for what they are. Other than that very good.

Well stocked store with everything from DYI products, garden plants and tool, plus kitchens and also wildlife items (food, feeder etc). A little more expensive than other hardware and home improvements stores but it's conveniently located. Well organised during CV19 restrictions. Staff are on the door and a 1-way system is in operation (but not everyone follows it)

You have to queue to go in, then they get 5 lots of people in the entrance and go through the rules. There's a one way system marked out on the floor. Maximum 2 people per aisle. Wait to be called forward to the checkout. But otherwise good, lovely plants available, some types of compost available, decorating supplies as usual.

Homebase has improved quite a bit over the last few years in terms of Range and also price. I used to always avoid them because the price was laughable in comparison to just about anyone else but now they seem to be on the money and their staff very good and the store is laid out in a logical way so it's easy to find things.

Had no wallpaper that we wanted in stock, but could order in 7-10 days. Paint man was helpful as could mix the colour not in stock but decided against it. Very run down store, most wallpapers were mixed up. Just seemed a jumbled mess so may be time to close for a revamp.

Showing it's age (along with the rest of the Wyvern), lots of free parking directly outside the store, although it's murder to get out at peak times. Don't automatically assume that it's going to be more expensive than anywhere else. C16 CLS was cheaper here than other DIY stores and any builders/timber merchants by a considerable amount. Worth checking online for price and availability. Free sheet cutting service (4 cuts, 50p per cut thereafter), customer toilet, rug doctor hire, small(ish)garden centre at the rear. Helpful and polite staff.

Homebase at the Wyvern is in a great location with fabulous parking. It's a great big store with lots of variety. It's therefore an awful shame that the inside is in an enormous state. You can't find anything, there's stuff piled up everywhere, the plants out the back are shabby and I struggled to find prices on a lot of items. What are they playing at?
