W. C.This shop is a little hit and miss for me! On my last two visits, they have not had what I went in for. The first instance, they had just sold out of the product. The second occasion however, it appeared that they didn't even sell the item I went in for anyway. This was rather annoying, as it is advertised on TV that they were selling a range of the product I was intending to purchase as part of a package deal! However when I got to the store and looked, they never had the item I wanted. They also didn't sell any of the products at a value that would allow you to purchase the tools as part of the TV deal as suggested! So extremely disappointed this time!
I. S.Wide selection in store and friendly helpful staff. Asked for help with a specialist item that was quite obscure and they had it. Was pleasantly surprised to find it locally as I was ordering on line before hand. And it was exactly the same price.

Great customer service received, however staff didn't outright ask if they could help. Considering I am writing this during the Covid-19 pandemic, they seem to be doing well at keeping stocked.

S. n.It's a B&Q. Friendly service and helpful staff, the only thing is that currently they run out of some stock very quickly. That is probably because of Covid more than anything. Plenty of parking, but sometimes better to head there in the evening as it can get quite busy during the weekends.
M. M.God stock of most DIY kit, went for sandpaper and undercoat paint to start decorating. They have routing up and down aisles in place and social distancing. Pity some of the customers don't pay attention to directions. Did not have colour of paint we were looking for but plenty of time yet. Store was quiet now lockdown has allowed people out and am sure it will pick up.

R. E.I really like this store, it's spacious and seems to have everything I have ever looked for. Only downside is the online inventory is never up to date, and more annoying when it says it is out of stock when they actually do have it. Learned this the hard way after we went much further away for an item and it was actually in our local. I always call to double check now.

Not everyone who shops hear doing DIY, know what they need and sometimes even how to do a job. In today's climate, where we have to do more ourselves, these member of staff are worth their weight in gold. I hope B&Q appreciate them as much as the public needs them. And yes because of this I keep going back. Thank you.

I've come across a mixed kind of staff some of them who are very helpful and knowledgeable and some ain't have a clue with the products they sell. Came across this man who was probably in his late sixties who was assigned to help us with smart home security by another lady in the store and he turned up only to say that he didn't have a clue admit security systems.. it's good of you are looking for quick DIY stuff..
K. M.Needed help with assembly of new Erbauer Hedge Trimmer. The head section had locked on the pole, wouldn't release, and the machine was out of alignment and wouldn't function. The staff at B&Q were excellent. Ian, in particular, was highly skilled technically. He successfully dismantled the top section (which was a complicated process) and realigned the fitments. M.Was in B&Q Dunfermline this morning and had a pleasant experience at the checkout with a woman called lynne who went above and beyond with customer service, she helped us sign up to B&Q club card which enables discount on purchases. We were not rushed and she took time to explain the benefits. What a difference from the usual lack of enthusiasm that can be had a the till in some places. Lynne is a real asset to this store.
C. S.Has a great selection of DIY and electrical, depends on what you want they do everything. I'm thinking of wood flooring or tile for my kitchen and they have lots to choose from and they do bathroom suites at a great price and kitchens as well, also decorating if you need paint and paper or maybe a rug, there is so much to look at so if you're looking for something for the house give the store a look

G. C.This medium sized B&Q is in central Dunfermline on a mature trading estate with other large(ish) stores, including Home Bargains. The range of merchandise is broad without being exhaustive, the staff are helpful and friendly and the shopping experience is relaxing if you want, brisk if you're in a hurry. With a fully fledged Tesco ten minutes walk away, it makes the town convenient for central residents and attractive for out of towners and visitors.
