I really love this shop. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. They have a surprising amount of stick as they also have things stored downstairs. So if you do not see it, ut is alwaya worth asking staff if they have it in stock. I went in to get items to sort out my moth problem and came out with lots of gardening items too.

Had some lovely experiences here, the products that I've bought from here have lasted me really well. Only thing is it's a little hit or miss price wise, I've had some really good deals, then been put off other items by the price. I do like to buy from here when I can because I can bring my dog with me.

Returned a faulty quartz 2 bar Elec. Fire. Must say NO FAULT OF HOUSE PROUD. The fire was poor quality however got exchange hassle free for a standard wire element old style 2 bar fire. Staff very helpful, bag was offered but I didn't need one.

Great service with a great selection of all essentials for the home. I always visit there when I need to knock off the moths as they are one of the few businesses that stock the necessary products. I also bought an air fryer there which is one of my best ever purchases.

They were really helpful with a few enquiries I had although I hardly bought anything on this visit. The guy who assisted me was really focussed on serving one customer at a time . Which is nice to see in this day and age. I've bought stuff from here before and have always found the staff really helpful and approchable a good knowledge on a range of products and situtations brought to them. The shop is clean and nice to browse around stocked with a good variety of items . Shame that British shops like this which used to be the de regour on the high street are few in numbers these days. But this place is a credit to keeping that spirit and ethos alive .

Take a nostalgic walk back in time. A rare shop indeed. An Aladdins Cave selling all manner of houseware products you didn't know existed. Could spend much time and money here.

Yesterday bought a new lawn mower 'Flymo easy glide 300' - £75- same price as Amazon. The helpful young guy put it in the boot for me, we parked down the road and went for coffee. Morningside has a great buzz! The thing about this shop, they only have 2 lawn mowers- one for small and 1 for medium gardens. Both reasonable price and excellent performance. I researched on Which After trying the lawn mower (great!) I today phoned and asked about chainsaws (pruning trees)- I'm going back for an electric Black and Decker. These guys have unbeatable experience!

used to go to Homebase at Dalkeith Road but this place now closed. Now student lodgings. Heigh ho!. Houseproud provide a decent alternative with about 1% of the floor space of Homebase. Staff always helpful. What more can.you need?

This is a brilliant local shop - they have everything I've needed so far - door bells, chisels, stanley knives plus things like tea pots and nice tea towels for presents.
