A. N.Amazing place with a huge variety to suit your house and family style. Really wonderful products and their display as well.
R. M.I was interested in viewing fitments for a small cloakroom that is being refurbished.
I was a little disappointed with the setup for the items I was interested in but I then discovered that the store is undergoing refurbishment & some areas were taped off for this.
The items on show did give me a concept of sizes so I will now look on line with a better idea of what I need.
I want it noted that the staff I did speak too were really good & went out of the way to help. Note at the time of the visit the public toilet facility was out of order.
C. P.B&Q have transformed their customer service. Having spent thousands in store and online for renovations and van conversions I’ve noticed their service improving over the years. Damaged items or items you need to return are super easy to return with no fuss. The Darnley shop is top notch.
V.A decent go to place for all your home & garden needs. Can find almost all in single place. But appreciate if the staff can help out on issues and provide solutions rather advising to route to website. Also, if they should promote installation, not everything can be done diy.

A. W.This football stadium sized B& Q at Darnley retail park is actually okay, definitely one of their better stores with an impressive range of products and at decent prices. In my opinion B& Q has stopped selling a load of stuff and now only sell more basic sellable products to their detriment and a lot of the time your only recourse is through the Internet. That's my only gripe against this store.

Not always the best in quality (I get very fussy about the quality of timber and sort through to find the pieces with fewest shakes, knots splits and twists). But I keep going back time and time again, so it can't be too bad!

p.If The young girl behind the click and collect counter is an example of your Customer service then you have a star. I ordered a large bulky and very heavy item. She had no complaints she simply engaged the help of an equally young lady and both of them struggled with the item. They apologised for the delay as the item was so heavy also offering to help me load it into the car. We'll above and beyond expectations. As I said a wee star service like that should be congratulated.

I. P.A great place to pick up almost everything you could need for DIY... if you can find it. Stock is often jumbled up on the shelves and even (helpful) staff can't find it, or tell one thing from another without close inspection. How the layperson is meant to manage is beyond me. Prices are decent, though, and the layout is nice and sensible with plenty of room for the big trolleys. Can be a bit of a pain if you need to return items, though, so do be careful that you have the right products before you leave.

I was buying paint for a very large communal hallway for a public building.
We had an idea of colours but nothing else .
I asked a member off staff for information about the paint.
The male member off staff was named Ross and then a female called Mhairi, both from the paint counter.
The service myself and my wife received was outstanding.
They both went over and above to help us .
To the point of mixing a sample pot up for us .
Putting the paint on a sample bit off paper and then drying the sample piece of papyri show us the real colour.
Absolutely wonderful service.
A massive thank you to Ross and Mhairi.

S. 1.In the TV adds they always have a cheary member of staff who's able to help ...sadly that's not reality as when I visited the last few times I required some help with some of their products that had little to no literature to voltage or amp capability or wither suitable for indoors or outdoors , after searching for 35 mins on my phone trying to get some info from their website ..finally someone asked if they could help ..as nice as the lady was she was unable to help as it was not her designated area and although she did come and go a few times she was unable to find someone who could help .
So a rather wasted journey and I got what I wanted from Amazon who were much more informative with their products .
For certain things B&Q are great but they could be doing with labelling their products with more information..especially when novice home DIY types could buy something that could potentially cause harm , fire or electrical issues .
Want paint..no hassles...want to know how many amp low voltage 16/30v cable has ...I would advise goto a specialist dealer unless you absolutely know what you are looking for.
C.Good general diy store, either for wood, clamps and plants general DIY household from electrical, plumbing to painting, then the garden part of it from composts to plants and garden furniture, car park is decent apart from some of the pot holes , but generally easy access to building and disabled spaces
P. C.I recently visited B&Q Darnley and purchased Neva Composite Slat/ Fencing. A member of staff called Rory helped me and nothing was a bother to him. He made my experience very enjoyable with his knowledge and customer service skills. You must pass this message on. Another member of staff the day before my purchase was also very good, however, didn't catch his name. Overall, a pleasant experience.

The staff were plentiful and helpful, there was a one way system at the checkout which moved along quickly, the store was very busy with some customers not obeying the special distancing rules, some customers were not wearing their masks properly as their nose was exposed, their was no member of a staff checking to see if people were following the rules other than that I had Positive shop.

M.I have only great things to say about Alastair at the Kitchen Services department for his help - he was extremely helpful, took his time explaining the small details and variety of options available, making necessary changes to the computer model to ensure that we were happy with the asthetics and various specifications of Ovens, finishes and variable quality details. I was surprised at how helpful he was - its a rare event - absolute diamond and a pleasure to deal with. Would highly recommend his professional service.

Loded several 2500mm lengths of conti board onto trolley and made my way to cutting area to find saw was "Out of Order".
Not happy, but after effort of loading trolley, bought and will have to try to cut to size myself.
Might be an idea to place a sign in the board area and online for customers to see when the saw is not working - lesson learned for me to check first !!!
So only 3 stars.
R. G.It's a B and Q. If you need basic home repair items it's a good option. If you are also an American immigrant to the UK don't let the colours confuse you, this has a fraction of the timber selection you would find at Home Depot.
Only 4 stars because the bad data signal in the store can make it a pain to look up brand reviews while there.

S.I visit them all within 5 mile radius of my home. This branch in my opinion is the best by far. Why? Staff friendly and not dodging customers who like to ask questions

M.We went to get a couple of things including some timber and woodstain but didn't have what we were after ..the shelves are virtually empty in that respect and it's the same in a lot of places..we managed to get a sub for what we were after but they say supplies are erratic just now and maybe get some in February but it's a day by day thing just now...

Some staff members know nothing about the stock in the store and some are extremely knowledgeable and can help above and beyond what I expected. It is very hit or miss.

T. B.B&Q has almost everything if you need something fast. Pity their returns policy is lacking. Darnley is one of the better stores though
S. Y.A large "everything for home" market. Good supply, friendly service. In total, there is not much to write about this place. The only disadvantage is the price of products. This market is considered and in reality it is too expensive. Not everyone wants and can spend so much money. Example. I bought a flexible plastic curtain rod for curtains and it cost me £ 15, while the same product in another competitive store costs £ 8. What to write about here. You can go there and compare prices yourself.

G. L.Fantastic store on the outskirts of Glasgow. Easy to get to and ample parking. Store is always well set out inside and we'll stocked. Staff very pleasant, helpful and if you can't find something they will contact the nearest store to check stock. Always discounts available and has a cafe in-store.
C. T.Larger than my local store, so has a better/wider selection of plants and diy supplies. Also handy to be able to get wood cut to size on site (and easier to fit in the car too!)

M. L.Free parking, has most things, unfortunately a lot of their tiles are website only but you can return them to the stores if you don't like them. Sometimes it's a bit of a nightmare trying to get staff help as you can't always find staff and getting paint made up is the worst as not maned all the time. But when you find a staff member they are friendly and helpful.

However, I needed only one thing and I suppose you could argue that it's poor use of space.
Luckily they are not inefficient and they also had loads of other stuff that I didn't need.
Again, accusations of 'wasteful' could be thrown at them, but i reckon the other people in the shop at the same time as me weren't looking for epoxy putty, and probably they got what they needed too.

Not just for the diying public, the dedicated trade team here have always put the trade requirements across to b&q side of the store making it massively more appealing to myself as a builder and the diyer just needing to grab a tin of paint or a curtain rail. Top tradepoint staff always helpful polite, well informed andknowledgable and always up for builders banter.
