We bought two paint kettles which were an absolute bargain at £2.50. The staff are very friendly and the shop has a good stock of diy items. Highly recommend a visit.

This is a fabulous old fashioned hardware store that sells nearly everything you could possibly want. The prices are very competitive and the shop is always well stocked. Great staff too who are very knowledgeable about the products they sell. Proper old fashioned service.

My family and I have been shopping at this store for over 20 years for gardening and hardware equipment. A small family business with friendly knowledgable staff that are always willing to assist. All customers feel welcomed and extra support is avaliable for shoppers that aren't too sure about certain products they need for their household/ garden. Store products are value for money and are of great quality. I have never had a problem or had to return items bought from this store. Covid safety:mask wearing, social distancing and controlled numbers entering the shop floor ( this hasn't caused delays as the customer service is brilliant/prompt)

Lovely to be able to use a local hardware/garden/houseware store. Layby parking outside which often has spaces. Recently purchased a 9V battery, peat-free compost (which was put into my car for me) & brass screws - I could purchase a specific number which was placed in a paper bag - no plastic packaging. Experienced, knowledgeable, helpful staff. Amongst other previous purchase: garden tools, plant bulbs, seeds, plant pots, sharp sand, coloured key identifiers, curtain rail cord.

Bennetts Hardware store is a wonderful place to shop. The staff are always helpful , polite , and nothing is to much trouble for them. Bennetts also stock a HUGE amount of very useful products at very reasonable prices. My family have been loyal customers of this fantastic place for over 20 years. From seeds for mums allotment to rabbit feed and bedding and now bins, buckets,brooms and bolts for my wheelbarrow etc (have a horse now!) I wouldn't go anywhere else. The staff are friendly, know what they are talking about and will help with anything. I do shop online but you can't beat Bennetts and they are usually better value than the the 2 internet giants! Can't recommend highly enough.

What an excellent store my "go to place" for DIY : the staff are incredibly helpful always wiling to listen and they give good advice. The store is Tardis like in size with so much stock. if you cannot see what you want just ask! They will even advise which is the better product to use. DIY, Gardening as well as pet and wild bird products. Prices are good too

Excellent service with first class products. Should've written this review a year ago as I've always been satisfied beyond my expectations at this hardware store. Another purchase today: 'Jigsaw Blades' [to replace broken blades I'd purchased from a major leading diy store]. Blades bought from Bennetts were superior to the extent they refused to break whilst being used under extreme pressure. The 'jigsaw blades' [pack of 5] cost £4.99 [ at BENNETTS] compared to £6 [pack of 2] both blades broke with minimum pressure - purchased at major leading DIY store]. Bennetts is 'Simply the Best'.
