Called in here yesterday needing an adaptor for the Webber BBQ we had bought and did not want to use the connection that comes with the BBQ and fits onto small £12 canisters. Unfortunately, Webber have designed it so that you can only buy their adaptor which, as well as being expensive, only fits a patio gas bottle😡. Did not realise how vast the shop is and that it also has an upstairs. Yes, this shop appears to sell everything, some item looked reasonably priced, some expensive but they cannot buy in bulk such as Band Q but, if you are local, it certainly saves a trip into town.

A proper DIY store that stocks everything you need. The camping section was better equipped than Go outdoors. Well worth a visit.

John and his team are excellent. We get our Calor Gas from them and they are very helpful, kind and professional. We ran out unexpectedly and they were able to deliver very quickly - other suppliers said it would be 2 weeks! Highly recommended.

I moved into a rural area recently and required 2 x 47kg calor propane refills. It proved a real challenge as the calor gas stockist in my area firstly wouldn’t pick up the phone or answer any of my numerous emails or texts. By pure chance a neighbour recommended Hykeham DIY and I’m so glad they did. I called them on a Tuesday and they delivered said gas bottles on the Thursday amazing delivery service. The attending driver (Paddy) did all the lifting and he was a great ambassador for the company , he couldn’t have been more helpful. I will definitely use them again and have no hesitation in recommending Hykeham DIY for all your Calor Gas requirements.

I love the maze of Hykeham diy. They sell the most obscure products as well as your everyday diy products, and I can't recall a time I've ever left there empty-handed; they always have what I need and more. The staff are very friendly too :)

An excellent local store. Ok,the prices might be a little higher but why struggle to get into town just to save a quid on a bag of nails! It's on your doorstep. The staff are fantastic with a wealth of knowledge of the products they sell and how to do.

This where i NOW buy my butane gas from as they are quick, efficient and very friendly. I will use them from now on. I ordered yesterday and my delivery is here now. Never been that quick with the other suppliers.

This place is a treasure trove of bits and bobs, there is almost nothing this place doesn't have... The prices are more than you'd pay in the national chain stores... But supporting the independent local retailers especially in these strange times is more than worth the extra few pennies.

A good local DIY store. A little more expensive than bigger stores but so much more convenient than driving miles and getting stuck in traffic. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful. They have also added a camping department, which even though I have not bought any camping equipment yet I have looked around and there is a good variety of products.

Have some good deals,we just bought a tent from them,a bit cheaper than high street.And have bought other stuff,Staff are knowledgable and helpful. The tent has since been to Wales where it stood up to heavy rain plus gale force winds.

I'm giving this shop only 3 stars just down to the fact that the staff are friendly and really helpful. On the other side you normally need a re-mortgage to buy anything from here. I fact the person sitting next to me in the van said he knows I'm getting paid toouch if I can afford to shop in there. So it's not just me that that thinks it's way over priced. Last perches I was going to make was a pack of 4" nail and the pack only contain 5 screws and they want just a pound per screw 😱 were normally that about what I would normally pay for a box of 100

I took my Dyson vacuum cleaner in, and could have bought a reconditioned one for £50, as I needed it back quickly, but instead it was serviced and had a new motor put in that same day, with a 1 year guarantee.
