Quite good in Wickes these days since it’s revamping. Easier in and out system, in a vehicle with its improved junction, and a better system for walking into and out of the store. More of a shop than a warehouse now I would say. Plenty of staff around to call for help to find things or load things into your car.

I went into Wicks today needing everything required to attach my daughters furniture to the walls including drill, bits, screws etc. I have no idea what im looking at or what i needed and i asked Sean for help, he was so patient, knew his stuff and took his time to try and get me what i needed for the lowest cost. I trusted his advice completely and would actively seek him out in the future if i needed help. Great looking new store and fab staff! Thank you very much Nicky xx

At first I thought it was closed as it looks like all shutters were down as you drive in from Monks Road side didn't know they'd had a makeover but i was very impressed I like it, floor assistants need to be a little more helpful as saying "its in aisle 9 doesn't help much as they are very long aisles but I did find what I was looking for in fact a great selection, new entrance is a lot better as well, well done Wickes 👍

Quick and easy to find what you need. Not the largest selection. Exiting the car park is getting worse. Broken up road, need to go really slow to avoid damaging your car.

This is a great store and I use it regularly. It has everything you need for all of your home projects or trade supplies and there's even quite a good range of garden related products from tools and equipment to plants and decking. Prices are middle of the road on most things but there's definitely some absolute bargains to be had at times too. There's plenty of free parking with good disabled access throughout. The staff are helpful and friendly and there's a burger van in the car park if you fancy a quick drink or a bite to eat.

Had what I needed and the staff are pleasant. I hope the current renovations they seem to be having done include resurfacing the exit road at the back though because it doesnt have potholes, it straight up has craters that could make the moon jealous lol.

A standard sized Wickes store, with the usual shortage of staff that keeps the prices generally cheaper than B&Q. They are very good at building materials and other basics, but less so with variety. I shop at Wickes for building materials, Toolstation for most other items, and B&Q as a last resort.

My local shop for my diy needs, has everything from kitchen sinks to cement. A reasonable price for most items. Some things maybe cheaper online, but I like to check the quality of items in the real-world. Sometimes you need things quickly and the internet can't deliver in time. Good customer service and helpful staff, car park and toilet.

Certainly a place for the trade and the casual DIY person. Unfortunately didn't find what I wanted but don't let that put you off. If you have a car that doesn't like ruts and uneven ground, the car park and way out could do with attention.

Wickes is great bit their click and collect is not so. It took nearly an hour to pickup a tin of paint, 3 paint brushes and a pack of screws. It would have been quicker to have gone through the store myself. 4 out of 5 for wickes 0 out of 5 for click and collect.

I always find Wicks a bit expensive but I was near by so I used them. I could of got what I was after cheaper but then once you factor in the extra fuel and travel time you may as well go there if your close by.

Best DIY centre but please be aware there are forklifts operating in the store.....if youve been you will know what I mean...... Also what has happened to their timber stocks? They seem to have dropped many lines including treated studding 63x38 standard stuff.... shelves are looking really bare come on Wickes we relied on you for decent choice of timber. Please don't make us go to B+Q......

Got everything I needed today. I got granular sub base which appears to be good quality. It's certainly suitable for the patio I building. It was frustrating having to dig through ripped sacks. I want to pave my garden not my car boot.

No longer competitive in today's market but OK for quick, pop in building materials. Everything else its probably best to use ebay and wait a day, just too expensive. Whole place needs a make over.

I love that this place is walking distance from home, spent many happy DIY days trekking back with tons of paint or tiles. It’s great for picking up things you need now, gloss, brushes, rollers and packets of bolts in the right sizes. I always think of it as dark though but that’s more of an impression than reality, you know how you always think of someone as taller and then see them again to realise they’re only bigger in your memory...

Unfortunately wicks only got 3stars because they didn't have what I wanted although I do appreciate it down to the virus and cant get stock and I noticed a small sign just by the entrance of what was out of stock WHY NOT PUT IT AT THE START OF THE QUEUE SO WERE NOT WASTING ARE TIME AND POTENTIALLY PUTTING OURSELVES AT RISK

Several issues with trying to do click and collect order for a worktop that was out of stock. Finished up with Lincoln ordering from another store, free delivery and a partial refund. I accept that mistakes happen and we did get there in the end and the item was here in time for the fitter. BUT a lot of the frustration and stress was caused not by the mistake, but by the complete lack of communication. I had to constantly ring and chase up as no-one returned calls when they said they would. I spoke to the duty manager several times and he said he would get someone to call me back. Even when i chased he just said he would go and find them and tell them again...why not just take ownership and find out what had happened and why and then call me back himself! Mistakes happen but it is how things are dealt with that make for a good or bad review!

I don't think there's any air con in this shop! It's so warm in there on a hot day! The store looks really tired, like it's still stuck in the 90s! Other than that, you can get what you need here.
