Consistently superb service from a friendly, family owned business. Highly recommended for anyone who needs advice and patience when solving DIY problems - you come in with an issue and leave with a smile and the right gizmo for the job.

Simply the best DIY store ever. The staff are so kind and helpful - and they always find/order what you want. No is not a word they understand. I can imagine Corbett and Barker having a great time here !

Friendly Builders Merchant in the oasis. Very friendly staff offering an old fashinioned helpful assitant. Stocks most items you would want for a DIY job, plenty of gardening stock, even has a small timber stock to help with those fixing and smaller DIY jobs.

Friendly, helpful family-run business at the top of Brixton Road. Great for hardware, household bits and pieces, and pot plants. Also note the cast-iron pillar in the middle of the shop. According to the staff, the original Mr Blisset may have rescued it from a train station platform or a theatre set.

I've lived across the road from BIissets since the late 90s. I bought a lot of wood for a one bed flat when I first moved in, they cut each piece to peculiar size to allow me to bookcase a wall in an irritating trapezium room. They are kind and helpful and possess a huge range of stock. On the rare occasions I haven't been able to find something I wanted in stock, they have ordered it for me. A brilliant shop.

The humble stiff nylon handbrush once the common fare of every hardware store seems now to be as rare as hen's teeth. It is one of my essential tools. Could Blissetts track some down where others had failed to produce? In fact ,yes & so 5 stars. And by the way , where the blazes do other tradesmen get theirs -- to clean out plastering buckets & so on?

One of my favourite shops in London. A family run business - nothing is too much trouble. The late Derek, Paul, Mark and family have become dear friends.

Top staff and always have what I need. I've not been to a hardware store in London as good as this one
A.
The best hardware shop in south London. Very well stocked, fairly priced and friendly knowledgeable staff. They are very well respected locally, and deservedly so. I couldn't recommend blissets more highly. I'm a handyman, so I'm always looking for random odds and ends for my customers, blissets are always my 1st call, and usually my last! I better leave it there, before I over sell them with my gushing!

Absolutely the best hardware store, extremely helpful staff, well stocked. They can usually help you solve your problems and tell you the full range of what you might use.

Really friendly and helpful staff. You receive the personal touch, something that is lacking, I'm afraid, in the huge diy stores.

Friendly and incredibly helpful staff. Had trouble with my internet line, even warned me the line belonged to BT which was followed with the comment that a BT engineer £100 to do what he then showed me in great detail 👍

Is more than 15 years since I entered for the first time in what I would call the "amazing cave of the building wonders", I wasn't (and I still would never dare to say that I am) a particularly DIY aficionado, my lingo about nails, screws is worryingly limited so facing a "expert" shop used to give me some sort of anxiety, but the reception I had from Blissetts has been a super therapeutic one, the staff is exceedingly friendly and highly competent, they are happy to assist you for whatever problem regarding house maintenance it occurs, from the hinges of that cupboard that are in immediate needs to be changed, hang in a hurry the horrible but worthy painting that our friend gave to us before he come to visit or find the perfect 'sunset in Nagasaki in winter" shade of paint that you have set your heart to have on your wall, no problems goes dismissed, but rather get faced and when is possible, solved , quickly and friendly, to this add that they have a huge amount of possibilities to offer to the public, they cut wood, they sell basic household primary needs as mops, brushes and padlocks and they have an amazing selection of fresh plants, making it a shop to visit again and again!
