Very grateful for the assistance on two occasions I've shopped here, this lovely business properly go above and beyond in their efforts to help the novice in a fix. Seen them in action, that's just their M.O.
The business is a massive asset to the area.

Great local shop, good help and advice and if they don't have what you need they'll order it.

Been using this DIY shop for years for lighting. The family who run the shop are exceptionally helpful and the prices while slightly higher than Toolstation are worth it for the expertise of the staff.

I have used this store as my main DIY Store since 1983. It has always been friendly, helpful and reliable. It has provided excellent advice and help. Long may it continue!

Great service and friendly staff. Usually have what you need in stock.
Not sure what the odd reviews below about “business model” are about.
Hey, they may be a quid more than Amazon, but they are local, pay some tax and don’t syphon all their profits to Luxembourg or Ireland..
If good service and honesty are outdated then I’m all for that.

Plough Homecraft is one of those magical shops that seems to offer everything you need, despite being a fraction of the size of those big out of town retail stores.
You could go to B&Q... but then you wouldn’t be supporting a wonderful local business like this. And you wouldn’t be getting the amazing expertise and service Plough offers.
No matter what challenge you have – whether it’s hanging a picture, laying flooring, cleaning a bathroom, or painting your fence – the staff at Plough Homecraft always have a suggestion and answers, and the product to solve it!
Wonderful shop and extremely well located if you live anywhere in the Dulwich area.
Stuff B&Q – this is the business that deserves your custom!

Brilliant customer service, always going the extra mile to help you with your DIY needs. Huge stock, anything else can be ordered in within a few days. Collective staff experience priceless. Honestly why go anywhere else if you value knowledge and experience.

Fantastic service. Very helpful and sweet. Sometimes these places can look daunting to those not used to DIY but we were in very capable patient hands and really good value for money! (And I didn't feel stupid!)

EXPENSIVE.
Now runs on outdated business model. Sign of the times.
There's a Toolstation just up the road (near intersection of south circular). Much cheaper, better general product choice. Toolstation offers online ordering, click and collect, and free delivery if you spend £10 or more. I know where i usually now go.
