Whenever i visit Wickes i have no problem, i always find what i require & if i can't find what i'm after the staff will either take me to the product, depending on how busy they are, or they point me in the right direction. They are competitively priced and there isn't much difference of price with the other two major DIY stores. At the moment they are going through a refurbishment so things might not be where they were last time you visited. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend the Maidstone branch

Positive) I have ordered 15 insulation rolls and got delivered within 4 days. I had to return 3 of them as I have over ordered. I called the customer service number which have been very helpful and said they will message the Maidstone manager asking him to contact me in regards of a return. Maidstone manager emailed me to book a day for collection Items have been collected the following day. Negative) I haven't received proof of collection and return I have emailed the Maidstone manager 3 times in 3 different days in regards of a return receipt and a refund. In all 3 occasions I have not received a single reply. No idea on how I would get a refund so I have decided to call customer service again. After 30 minutes on the phone they have confirmed 3 items have been the returned and I have got a refund. If I had to wait for the Manager to reply I would still be waiting. So over all, Wickes customer service 5 stars, Wickes Maidstone manager 1 star.

One of wickes' largest stores contains most basic building and landscape material. Can occasionaly run short of an item and fail to replace for sometime. Decent on site car parking and staff helpful. Don't rely on online indications of stock at stores.

I ordered click and collect during the pandemic. I ordered online which was easy.recieved a email the following day to collect. The store had a queuing system outside in their carpark, which was fast efficient and kept to social distancing

I use Wickes a lot, it’s a big store in Maidstone and carries quite a lot of stock. Having a carpentry background I found some of the timber products to be better priced than most other merchants, especially Travis Perkins, and Wickes is owned by them!🤔 Other products like Multi-Finish plaster are reasonably priced, and the prices get better with the 10% trade discount when you become a trade member. Kitchens were good quality, however, the units are mostly flat-pack and their best price was still nearly £1000 dearer than Howdens & Benchmarx. All in all I really like Wickes, but like most merchants nowadays you need to do a bit of shopping around for the best prices and quality. Keep that in mind and you won’t go far wrong.

Plenty of parking. Kitchen designers, lots of paint, bit of plumbing and electrical. Don't be surprised if they haven't got what you want for DIY, but still a good option for a lot of products.

So the time has come my husband asked if I would make the trip to start looking at new kitchens “we’re off to Wickes” he said. I wasn’t looking forward to it as we having opposing taste and opinions on the design front. So we packed our grandson and all that entails at 20 months and ventured out. Do you know it was great. With said grandson in tow we could park in designated area close to the shop(massive car park-free for first 1.5hours) inside it’s rather sparse but full!!! I quickly learned this isn’t a general DIY store, there’s no frills and household bits and bobs, it’s honest to goodness straight to the point what it says on the tin, all you need for work at home or trade. They had about 12 kitchens displayed (very nice) in addition they had worktop displays and doors from each kitchen style in different colours,great. Searching out tiles for the kitchen floor I found a lovely large choice of colour, texture and effects. The same with wall tiles and other options available. Distracted my husband found the new sitting room flooring at a great price, solid oak, lovely,we even chose a bathroom. This is all great headway as we haven’t come to any decisions in two years regarding this as we opposed one another. Today’s feast gave us options we loved!!!

Wickes is ok and reasonably cheap for the things they have in stock, but they keep such tight stock levels that they often run out of that vital bit you need for the job. Screwfix is ideal for those situations, but has less parking.

If you have a project Wickes is the place to go. If you want that little bit to finish the project, even if you bought the bulk here, go somewhere else. Each time I've gone back there they didn't have what I needed. Last time help desk insisted it's in stock but it could not be found, either by me or a member of staff. Plus, options in stock did not suite that which I had previously bought.

Did a click and collect on a Karcher K2 here, great online price of almost half the RRP. Click and collect was picked in around 40 minutes so 20 minutes quicker than stated online. Staff were friendly and efficient in processing the paperwork and i was in and out in well under 5 minutes.

They supply every kind of indoor and outdoor paint, Screws. Nails and Tools. Plumbing supplies, compost for House plants and the Garden. Outdoor Plants. All types of solutions such as White Spirit, and Brushes. They sell Heaters, and many other products. A very useful store for one's DIY needs.

I ordered two bulk bags of ballast. The driver rang me when he was twenty minutes away. He arrived in the bigger of the lorries and needed to reverse up an alley. although he tried and tried again the lorry was just a bit too wide, but instead of just dumping out the front, he went away and came back later with a smaller lorry. He couldn't have been more helpful!
