We were educated in regards to Corvels and the variety available in their showrooms. We were given a sample to take home which was unfortunatley to wide. I can't recommend Shane and Fine Castings highly enough. There is so much choice in the shop meaning there is something for everyone. It was a pleasure dealing with Shane, he was extremely helpful, working with us to choose various cornices, ceiling roses and corbels. Nothing was too much trouble, he provided us with lots of samples for us to take away and try and home and was always on hand to answer any questions. He very kindly arranged for all the materials to be dropped off with his recommended fitter Lee, who was also very good and provided a high level of service. Shane kept in touch during the installation and followed up afterwards and went one better by giving us a gift from the shop for our home which was greatly appreciated. By chance I was driving past Fine Castings Ltd and decided to go in as I’m currently renovating my house from top to bottom. The service was impeccable and no issues from start to finish. From Shane and Eamon guiding me we eventually decided on the right style of coving along with x5 Ceiling roses and used their fitting service Gary who is an old school tradesman using traditional methods - My rooms are now in keeping with the period style of the house. Just had a cornice from Fine Castings fitted in our front room. The service from Shane and the fitter Lee has been first class. The shop is an amazing place to visit, loads of choice, no pressure selling. We had plenty of time to explore and consider several options. Shane provided us with samples to take home so we could match a cornice to the correct size in our 1930's house. He then responded to emails promptly and kept us informed of the fitting. They supplied the runs in three-metre lengths and had a recommended fitter, which worked out nicely, and at an affordable unit price. Excellent quality products from proper craftsmen/ artisans . I mean - who in the UK is really making this stuff of the range and quality like these chaps? Cannot be that many with a set up like this. This is the second time I have bought from Fine Castings but the first using a fitter recommended by themselves ( my decorator on this occasion was a bit nervous and admitted to be out of practice with architrave - especially on this house given its age style and settlement) This time my scheme was architrave and corbels for a master bedroom job and it is has really made a difference, as I knew it would. The choice is overwhelming and the shop is always well worth a jaw dropping visit. The recommended fitter ( Lee) picked up the architrave and brought it with him and completed the job mess free ( and radio free) within the day. Not that I mind any contractors having a radio on if they are working but Lee gets inside his own world of dedication to the task in hand and just cracks on. Whole job done superbly to a house without a straight wall in it and lots of curved reveals, -so not a straight forward task by any means and lots of filling behind and around which all blended in seamlessly and cannot be detected. The job was also done to the agreed day rate despite having quite a few more issues with it as described above than the original estimate. Shane at the shop kept in contact via text to see that Lee had made contact with me and the job was scheduled in and I was OK with everything and upon completion that I was satisfied with the fitters work. Definitely return to Fine Castings for more beautifully crafted architectural goodies on the next phase and have Lee undertake the work again in future.

Through the years I have visited Fine Castings every time I needs to cheer myself up , the showroom is unreal and inspires me with ideas for my hotel rooms and offices . I’ve collected but also for larger orders the lads have delivered , very fast turn around on all my orders . Visited the amazing Treasure Trove that is their warehouse, made enquiries about Edwardian style coving and Shane was immediately accommodating. Ordered and it was delivered next day .He arranged a fitter who came within a few days. Roy- the fitter - what a great chap - quiet, experienced, skilful and really conscientious. Second time I’ve used Shane & the guys, Tony, Eamon & James for my house which is a period property. I didn’t want to go the “off the shelf” route as the house has many original features, Lee came round promptly, took a stencil off the original 100 year old coving & within 2 weeks it was manufactured & fitted!! Really pleased as there were bullnose rounded corners & they look fantastic, doing the bedrooms next!! This is a dying trade & they are artists; recreating the bygone years, they are thoroughly professional & great to deal with!! Cheers lads!!

Brilliant service from start to finish.. Ordered coving and ceiling rose from shane from fine castings he was so friendly and very helpful answered any questions I had.. gave a brilliant quote and also arranged a quote from Lee the plasterer to install the coving. Which was easy and convenient for me as I didn't have to find my own. Lee picked up the coving from fine casting and installed it at the house.. he did a brilliant job so neat and clean with no chips.. initially I only wanted it for the living and dining room.. but as it looked so beautiful and make the rooms standout.. when back to shane to order for the hall way and got the same amazing service.. I would definitely recomend Shane and Lee as they are both very professional at what they do and give you great advise.

The place to go if your rennovating a period house. Shane and the team were fantastic, they have a huge range of coving, ceiling roses, corbels - and much much more ... they can also match anything by casting a mould. They also arranged the fitting which Lee did a great job on - couldn't recommend them more. The showroom is well worth a visit, and if you get the chance to look upstairs - thats where its all made ... quite amazing!

What a gem!! First time using fine castings and could not recommend them enough. Shane and the team were so accommodating from start to finish. We were choosing a ceiling rose and Shane offered us guidance on size and even let us us borrow one to see it in situ, which was helpful as we decided to go with a more ornate one instead. Its worth a visit just to see the shop! They also recommended a fitter who had to job done in under 45 minutes.
