I ordered two tubs of floor varnish online for click and collect coming to £56, they phoned me to say the varnish was on sale in store for £8 each, and I could cancel the online order and buy at the instore price! Very impressed with the customer service

Staff ambled around rather slowly when asked for help. Stock listed online wasn't in store, and 3 members of staff stood next to me chatting while I lifted a fairly heavy item down from a shelf at head height and didn't even offer to help.....

Bit of a messy lay out and quite limited range, probably because of the size, the employees were all huddled at the back when I went in hollaring at each other, but the shop had what I needed so can't grumble too much. Probably head to another DIY shop before going here as they are less likely to have what you need.

Really good protocol on social distancing. Done click and collect here quite a lot and is always really simple and quite quick. Products always seem to last well and there multi-purpose compost is definitely one of the best. Also purchased a water but which was very easy to install.

Although I wouldn't expect a first class service from a high street builders merchants I do find Wickes a bit inconvenient; from not offering a timber cutting service to regularly closing large sections of the store due to Forklift truck operation, it lacks that little bit of finesse one would hope for from a store that serves general public. My worst experiences include two teenage members of staff from the Bletchley store yelling abusive comments at me in front of my (then) 4 year old son because they forgot to properly place a safety barrier when operating a forklift (which, incidentally, never actually materialised) allowing me to browse approximately 1 whole foot of wood detailing strips that they didn't want me to access. The managers attitude wasn't entirely different from theirs when I complained. I have not experienced this degree of neanderthal brutishness from the Winterhill branch though so I luckily have an alternative although the apparent lack of COVID face coverings shakes my confidence.

Staff are covid 19 smart and most customers are too. I bought a heavy duty box to store my motorcycle gear in. They are so handy that i had to get another two. 145ltr, take around 400kg and has 4 sturdy wheels. Forgot to say that they stack. 15 pounds at the time of writing. Cheaper than some other brands.

Good store. Ample parking. Good trade discount (10% off everything regardless of how much you spend - So it works out cheaper compared to its competitors who sell similar products). Would be good if the store had a bit more variety of products.

Staff very helpful in showing us where products we wanted were. We had already been to homebase & left because of high price. Here it was less than half the price Plus had a laugh with guy on checkout. Certainly brightened our day.

It's a nice shop! We also heard the message about the forklift truck being played every 30 seconds. Went to see it and it's a bit disappointing... basically there's just a small part of the store where the truck is operating which is closed off with barriers. Not sure why every costumer needs to be constantly reminded of this!?

Bought a Studio LED 4 Plate Spotlight for my son's bedroom and we both love it ~ very modern. I liked looking at the stylish kitchen ranges too with the choice of cupboard and worktop designs and colours.

Fraser was a lovely helpful young man. Quickly got all the heavy stuff I asked for and took to checkout and then to car and loaded for me. It was a hot day and despite saying its what he gets paid to do, he did it in a friendly, willing manner. I give Fraser 11/10 for excellent customer service.
