The store owner has saved my bike from disrepair out of kindness on 2 occasions and this store has everything you could possibly need at perfect prices. It stocks so many different items at a great price! If you have a business this place is perfect for your bulk supplies or just everyday bits and pieces! Tremendous store! Thank you.

Thorpes is an amazing store. If you want something they will have it. Better than any corporate hardware store. They have real people to help you with genuine knowledge of all of their hundreds of products. I wish every high street had a Thorpes

Went yesterday to replace a missing bolt from my son's scooter that had came off on the way to school. The staff were excellent, helping me find the product I needed. They even took a hacksaw to the bolt I needed when we found it was too long for the job. Nothing was too much trouble. You were all fantastic as usual. My son has went from being heartbroken to ecstatic! It's meant the world to him. Good old customer service at its best. Thank you so much.

Popped in to day to pick up couple of things and as I was browsing listening to the staff it’s clear that they carry high standards of customer service in every interaction they do from the queries to pleasant conversation it’s what you want to see from a local business that cares about its customers. Oh and did I mention it’s an treasure house for those things you need. I bought some wood asked for it to be cut not a problem and was done in a flash. Thanks for a great shopping experience

I honestly love this place, been doing some DIY in the house, instead of driving all the way to wicks or bnq I just go here. I could honestly spend hours in this place. The staff are amazing too, always helpful and they don't mind having a bit of banter.

Used this store on numerous occasions, and on the only time that they couldn't supply they put me in touch with a local wholesaler that could, Key cutting, engraving and DIY products galore.

Great local hardware store which stocks a wide range of items (including some you won't find in DIY superstore) for house and garden. The key-cutting and engraving service is particularly useful. With reasonable prices and excellent service, a visit here is always a pleasure - oh and yes, they do sell fork handles!!

I took a glass vase here to be engraved and was really pleased with the job they did and the service I received. I took it with short notice and despite being really busy they managed to do it in time. The guys were lovely and it was no more expensive than the chain I also enquired with (who did not have the correct machine for the size of the vase). Thank you Thorpes! I’d definitely recommend..
