A.Not sure how your staff survive in this environment it’s so stuffy no airflow everything on the shelves has a layer of dust my girlfriend who suffers with asthma had to get out the building before we had finished shopping. That said the varnish we were after was £6 cheaper than another DIY store just down the road. But seriously you need some doors open at the other end of the store so some air can get through the building.

Went in to look at ideas for a downstsirs toilet and the displays needed updating as looking a bit old. The main focus and number of mock ups where kitchen related which seemed up to date. S. R.I do prefer a B&Q to this company as I feel they have more choice. But I cannot fault the helpfulness of staff here who went out of their way in order to find a rare product I was after. They did not sell it in the end but I was so grateful that they did not give up until they helped me to know where I could find it. This is excellent customer service. Also it does not seem to be too busy which is actually a bonus for customers who go around with a great big flatbed trolley. The space available when going to the tills though is quite limited I found, but this is a minor adjustment required.
R. L.Went specifically to buy some tiles, which we did, didn't look at anything else but the range of tiles on offer was better than a competitors. Service was good once we had made our choice.
W.Click and collect is not as quick as Screwfix or Toolstation but this is a shop.
I had to wait to be seen about 5 minutes. The lady assistant who was very nice and friendly had it all organised very good service from her. Will shop again.
S. D.You can't do everything online. That's why Wickes is so good - you can get what you need when you want it. The click n collect service is great, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The huge range of timber products is so better than anywhere else.

C. E.I've visited a couple of times recently. The website is great as it shows what your local store has in stock. The click and collect system works very well and the staff were pleasant and helpful.

Staff good and helpful. Would have been better if the store in chilwell hadn't closed as its a bit of a trek to get there.
B. S.Wickes is a favourite building supplies outlet. I am pleased that they are still open during the pandemic as I had a leak on the roof that needed some emergency repair. Plenty of hand sanitizer around and people flow is managed well.

T. A.We paid a visit to our local Wickes store Nottingham to look at Kitchens, a young man, Ryan took charge of us. Amazing experience, very helpful, went into lots of detail, not rushed, a very pleasant young man, came away with a design and quote. Thankyou so much.
K. V.We accompanied my mother-in-law here to help her choose a new kitchen because we'd had ours from this branch (Nottingham, Queen's drive) about 12 years ago and have been very happy with it.
We didn't expect to be able to see anyone straight away to plan it but Dale slotted us in there and then and went through everything so thoroughly we decided we didn't need to go elsewhere. He got the sale.
Dale said he'd come out himself to check the measurements and room specifics, which he did, and again was very attentive to what my m-in-law wanted instead of trying to tell us how he would do it like one rep did when we were doing ours (note to Dolphin rep - I don't care how many awards you've got or how trendy the design is, if we don't like it we aren't buying it).
Very happy with the service thus far, Dale has been great and if the installation service is as good as the design and sales service then we'll be well chuffed.
J. A.Covid safety measures were taken seriously by Wickes. The usual, everpresent it seems, occasional impatient member of the public in store all was good. Went to purchase bags of 20mm limestone that were shown on their website as being plentifully in stock. However none on display. Found a member of staff who informed me they had some in a staff only access area and he kindly took my barrow and loaded up for me. Otherwise all good.

D. H.I tend to use this DIY center for bulkier materials that B & Q dont seem to sell like facia materials, trade paints, roofing materials and special plumbing attachments. Prices are reasonable, good quality materials and floor staff are helpful. Largish car park close to the door for loading

B.Well laid out and professionally run branch, although only making a small purchase my remarks regarding the accuracy of a particular price was handled quickly, effectively and without any indication of bias until my concern had been addressed. This is a branch of Wickes you can look forward to dealing with in complete confidence . 5 star service given by the consummate professional on duty on the till.

J. D.I entered needing some boiled linseed oil and once I'd found it I began mooching, as one does. A delightfully friendly gentleman caught my eye and we exchanged pleasantries. He enquired as to the bottle I was carrying, immediately divining it to be linseed oil despite my brutish grip obscuring most of the label. He kindly and politely explained that linseed oil is combustible and, whilst taking great pains to be clear he meant no disrespect, advised that I be careful as he directed me to the cloths and wipes section of the shop. A delightful exchange that ought to be held as an exemplar of customer service and what the sociologists call genuine human interaction.
C. M.Extremely helpful when looking for a very specific item that mote general stores such as Homebase or B&Q don't carry. Never have to wait too long and plenty of free parking.

S. D.i wish wickes had never shut down the store near long eaton as this is a lot further for me to travel, friendly staff but poor selection, for instance, why do you sell 500mm M8 threaded steel rod but not 1 mtr rod, and why no M8 nuts or locking nuts. This store could be so much more
