How, gave great adivces, on get hold of something, he did not sell, but can be obtained, directly from Manufacturer. Services like the good old days. If you need something, start here.

D. B.A treasure trove for anything DIY. If you need it, they've generally got it. I always use Zak's for bits and bobs as it's only in walking distance from my house. Very helpful and friendly staff, they will always find what you want. I also feel it's good to support your small local businesses, especially during this current time.
D. B.There are not many DIY shops I would give 5 stars to. This though deserves such an accolade. I have had visitors from Scotland who insist on a visit to Zak's for both the incredible range of goods he has but also the pure experience of visiting this unique shop. Zak sells almost every thing you could imagine for DIY and also at lower prices than most......and he hasn't paid me a penny to say any of this !! Go there and enjoy the experience and products.....
J. B.Zak's is an Aladdin's cave of DIY / traditional ironmongery. If Zak hasn't got it nobody has! Staff can't do enough for you please use this local shop rather than the big name shops. Recommend please use.

P.Very well stocked but could do with a tidy to say the least, more expensive than other DIY centres but maybe that's what a small independent has to do to survive, worth a look if you get stuck.

S. R.Hidden gem, if you want a left handed screwdriver or a tin of tartan paint, you'd find it here. Don't be put off by the stock on the floor, the owner knows where everything is and how to use it.
He could fill a place 4x the size with his stock.
Take the time to browse as you will come out with more than you went in for.
Been going for years and has a loyal customer base.

A. S.A remarkable DIY shop in Stapleford that sells just about everything (though the shop's often crowded and piled high in every direction.) Not as cheap as you'd expect at a DIY superstore, but very convenient. The staff are helpful too.

You can buy a nut a bolt, a few screws a tap a banister rail, plumbing, electrical bits a pieces. I am sure I saw a kitchen sink in there. Zak and his helpful staff know where everything is, what it costs and how to use it. Go when it's quiet, if there ever is a time and you can learn a lot from Zak

D. T.Love going to Zaks Diy, if there's something I can't find Zak will know where it is. It's like Aladins cave in there if he doesn't stock it you don't need it. He travels in 6days a week from Leicester bless him and he's always cheerful too. A very nice man. 😆
