Open May Bank Holiday Monday so first good news. Bought 6 x 25kg of cement, std price at £5.15 each but excellent service received when customer support took the bags to my car and loaded them in for me. I'd have really struggled to lift them into my boot so hence 5 star service. Plus lots of parking close to store.

Good stock of materials, really poor till service. Staff looked liked they didn't care. Waited about 15 mins before they got more staff out

Not the biggest store, but currently undergoing a refit to improve the store. Looks good already with a new layout making it easier to find things. Always a pleasure to go, good staff with friendly attitudes.

Toolstation ' another exceptionally good place to get an impressive range of tools, accessories and consumables on the go, typically within minutes of placing an order online (just like Screwfix). Update:- Toolstation have now moved to their own dedicated new premises situated nearby on Lamarsh Road in Botley, (and are now no longer based inside the Wickes hardware superstore. They are now located approximately 300 yards away from Wickes.

Wickes Oxford : bought 15 x 3m lengths of timber and one was so twisted it couldnt be used despite trying to make it work...Went back a few days later to buy a replacement and was given it free of charge from the outdoor yard as the last few remaining were all twisted too. Didnt expected the good will gesture, but very happy customer indeed

Very under staffed and the staff are visibly stressed. Even though they were busy they did find time to help us so good on the lad that was doing a million and one things but came and helped, wicked needs to change some policies on staffing and maybe give the these people a pay rise.

Good but not great for a retail customer. Want plumber's tape, buy 10 reels. Fair enough, it was not very expensive but is a waste. Other items not stocked. So good for big fittings, a wee bit less useful for home repair jobs.

Bought a new bathroom suite in July last year 2017. Starting from design through to ordering components, friendly staff giving invaluable advice as this was my first time installing bathroom suite using an experience builder. Delivery timing was excellent and exchange of damaged bent bathroom panel was no hazzle. I also bought white floor and wall tiles from the Tile Shop in Wickes. Overall delightful experience.

Visit about twice a month and pleased to see the store is being remodeled this week with new tills and layout - let's hope the til service / queuing improves with the new layout. Toolstation remains in the far corner.

Couldn’t fault Wickes Botley, had ordered some stuff on line and only some of it turned up (this was from Northampton). Couldn’t get through to customer services but on the receipt it said “Remedialled to Oxford” so went in store at Botley. The kind lady behind the till (I think she was assistant manager) said that Northampton hadn’t informed them and the items hadn’t been picked!! So an assistant was sent off to find the items, which he did and the Manager (a man this time) refunded me my delivery charge for inconvenience. The Wickes branch couldn’t have been more helpful shame about the Northampton depot!! They could learn a few things.

Convenient location and free parking. Customer toilets not working nearly a month, visited store 3 times since. Staff been instructed to lie about the toilets, every time they say its being repaired since morning. I better take my business elsewhere

Seem understaffed but very helpful and polite cleaner found my glasses that I had dropped one night. Much more helpful than the staff at the Botley Waitrose that I had also shopped at and asked about if a pair of glasses had been found.

The Oxford Wickes is well laid out, tidy and benefits from an in-store Toolstation. Order online and your goods will be picked and ready for you in an hour.. Good parking. The only downside is the awful Botley Road traffic that makes access a challenge.

Love Wickes and have for years. I also like their parent company Travis Perkins . But the jewel in the crown has to be Tool Station at the back of the store. Excellent value. Wickes is well worth a look for gardening tools and gardening stuff like lawn feed etc.

Wickes = "Weaks" ??? :) quality is really low but benefit is that some of the items which you not really need best quality - you can have quite quick as deliveries are usually around 3 days from order...
