I think the place needs to update alot of their products and re merchandise. I've been shopping here for many years and feel the place has lost a lot of buzz. Its a bit of a ghost town during the weekdays and feel this could still be a good time to gain custom. Needs investing in more staff and a bit of a face-lift on the whole store.

Not my usual Homebase as I'm just visiting Plymouth. Not too busy. A very nice staff member helped me find what I was looking for as it wasn't where I expected it to be. Good range of products and soft furnishings etc.

It had all the items I needed for my small DIY project, but all of the fixings and fastenings were in bags of 10 or 20. I now have at least 75 percent of unused items lying around never to be reused again. The cost of these bags of fixings seems overpriced, so my DIY project could have been completed by a Tradesman for about the same cost. The mark up on these packs seems excessive, so I doubt I will go down the DIY path again

We have always found the staff here incredibly helpful. They have a good range, lots of kitchens on display .. the chap we spoke to spent a while explaining the types of sinks available from composite to ceramic and was also very knowledgeable about the types of ovens available, so he was a great help to us.

Be very selective about the items. Loads of them are damaged, especially in wood section. Nice trolleys to carry big loads around. Not very handicap friendly though.

I recently visited and found the whole process for queuing for tills (socially distanced) unclear. I stood in the wrong place which I didn't realize at the time, and a member of staff shouted over to me 'are you supposed to be queuing' so I said yes and she then said 'well you're supposed to be over there'. I felt like this could have been handled better and it could be made clearer where to queue.

Not the widest of DIY selections, low staff. The store does not have the selection offered by another DIY store located in Dereford but does have enough for the low level project. A small selection of plant and tooling it provides just enough for the quick visit. Contactless pay available, bug if you after a quick in and out you can be waiting up to 10 minutes at the checkout to pay as the staffing levels sees cashiers working the floor too. There are toilets but they are not the cleanest if your desperate ok but best to wait until you are at home. Knowledge of the staff can vary with some knowing just enough to fake it with others being happy to be employed.

Great customer service from Terry this evening. Called the Marsh Mills store with my enquiry regarding an offer. There was clearly a advertising problem, but this young lady dealt with everything, so politely and was so efficient and helpful.

Cannot fault the service, generally the tills are quiet, and if you can find a member of staff they normally can point you in the right direction.

This branch of Homebase is showing its age, and while they have a lot of different products there's not much variety - so you can probably get what you're after, but there's not going to be a choice. On the plus side, prices are pretty good and the staff are great!

Homebase was fabulous. Lots of lovely Christmas bargains but what I was most impressed with was the lovely man who was serving people at the checkout. Don't know his name but he was wearing a xmas jumper with Bah Humbug on it and I hope he wouldn't mind me saying he was an older gentleman. He was very polite, pleasant and helpful. A change in this day and age of the mannerless youngster. I have just been made redundant and at 53 rather feel I am on the scrapheap. So how refreshing it is for Homebase to be employing decent, older people. WELL DONE HOMEBASE! Other businesses would do well to follow your example.

I bought some paint, curtain poles, black bin bags, gaffer tape and a cat flap from here. If you have a home you might want to come to this shop! Its got the lot! It doesn't sell food or Sherry though. Its quite near to Saltram House, have you been there?
