D. M.As far as I can remember this place hasn't changed in over 40 years. Well, the name has changed as it used to be called Wards... but it's just the same inside. They seem to do and sell everything. I'm sure they don't but it seems like they do.
I don't live in Kirkham now and haven't been in for many years until recently. I went to have some keys cut. I had six done and they were perfect. They looked absolutely spot on and worked flawlessly. I had a bit of a wait as the guy took his time to do a good job and I appreciated that. I have since been again to make another small purchase... a 6inch diameter, 6 foot long flue brush. Where else would I find something like that?
During the first lockdown of 2020 they cheerfully delivered some potting compost to my elderly mother free of charge on the same day she enquired about it. What a fantastic service. And it was cheaper than the local garden centre.
This is a great shop with friendly, knowledgeable staff and I hope they will continue to do business for many years.

Shops like this are becoming less and less as the big corporates like B&Q take over...

They still sell nails and screws by weight, the staff are knowledgeable and if they haven't got what you want they will get it. They also sell real open fire parts, grates, fire cement, ash pans etc. They sell gardening supplies, spades, seeds, plants, weedkiller etc. Brilliant shop
D. E.This shop has everything. Proper, proper ironmongers. Need to replace a screw bolt nut or washer, go to Grundy's they will definitely have something to help you repair that broken item. Good for the environment as without then I would have had to throw away so many items. Much cheaper than the superstores. Use them don't let this service close.
