Great selection of materials and even if they don't have it another branch will close by. Everyone was really friendly when visiting and was so helpful with my DIY project

From going into this branch with some many questions to placing an order was seamless. Staff where very help from start to finish. The delivery driver was very helpful and very respectful and even helped me carry some of the delivery through to the garden as I didn't want to leave the grass out the front. Top Service thank you

People say I moan a lot and I do. I actually believe I just have high standards and are dissatisfied by most companies or services. However I was so impressed by Grant and Stones service it leads me to write this positive review. I turned up as an inexperienced member of public. They assisted me in choosing the right product but when it wouldn’t fit in my car agreed to deliver it the ten miles for free, as soon as they could. Two hour later they delivered the two huge railway sleepers. I couldn’t lift them but the delivery guy popped one on his shoulder and walked the 100 metres placing it in my garden. He then repeated it with the second one, which I had dropped. Excellent prices, service and staff. Thank you for all your assistance.

We first started using grant and stone during covid as the building merchant we used to use was closed. Darren Morris the area manager came on site and opened an account. Prices were very competitive if not cheaper. The difference is Darren comes on site every week to see what we need and makes sure pricing is cheaper than all other merchants. We send a text to order and delivery is next day. I cannot recommend Darren enough and the service is second to none.

I buy about 90% of my building materials from Grant and Stone, Reading. The staff are open and friendly, know their products, are extremely helpful and the service they provide both in the shop and on delivery is second to none. The goods they provide are often better and at a cheaper price than Travis Perkins and Jewson. Their wood is better value than than Arnold Laver (and most of it is the higher grade C24).

The forklift driver looked at me like I had 2 blooming heads when I turned up, mind it was 16.20, there cut off time for deliveries was 16.00, but already rang in advance and organised to be took off that day 😁😁😁. The other yard lad is on the money, no messing off and gone 👍👍
