Reviews of B&Q Stoke-on-Trent - Etruria
Very impressed as usually only go Meir park B&Q , but everything was out of stock there so paid euturia a visit and got everything I needed , all staff very helpful especially the paint mixer bloke
So much stock on offer. Helpful staff
The Staff (Josh) was so helpfull. Its so nice to be greated with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble in helping me find what i wanted. Wonderful experience. Top marks x
Unsure of the woman's name but she was really nice and even complemented my top made me feel amazing thankyou she has really made my day
Good go to store. Have noticed that in 2020 some stock items unavailable or lightly stocked. Still a good store but surprisingly some items can be purchased at independent ironmongers at a lower price, or in smaller amounts. Opening Hours are very convenient. You should get what you need here.
Been there today,16th March , some power tools ( bought a jig saw ) , 15% off list price .
It's ok. Would be much better if they stocked it more often. There is hardly ever stock of things in this one.
To Lauren and Andy thankyou for being helpful and useful in designing my kitchen with me and made sure I was happy and were willing to make sure we picked all the right things
Very nice place to buy most of the indoor and outdoor things. Reasonable price with lot of varieties
Staff are helpful and friendly if you have trouble finding what your looking for but the aisles are well laid out and the store is clean
I asked for item, was told were no longer available anymore. Searched online and it advised 7 in stock and the isle number. Sure enough there they were. I'd prefer a "don't know", to wrong info.
Thought a city centre B&Q would be better/bigger.no timber cutting service here. However I recently discovered the huge one out of town so all is forgiven. Handy store for local.
Helpful staff and a good range of products at a reasonable price. The bargain section is worth checking out in each visit as it's quite large a d varied...
This is my local branch and while it isn't the biggest, it's well stocked with a wide variety of items and variations. Their paint range is varied and they have the valspar mixing machine too. Their garden centre is a bit hit and miss but that's no reflection on the store as they can only display what they are sent! The plants are well looked after, better than some other branches.
Staff are generally helpful, polite and affable and it's never too difficult to flag someone down.
Verdict? Smaller branch but in no way the lesser for it!
Went in looking for pvc tape. Safe took my straight to it so job done.
great store section and good staff, please keep this 5 star service ✨
Big shop, came in to look at wallpaper and ended up purchasing some along with a 30L pedal bin and some batteries that were on offer.
I can usually find what I need in here, the problem is I wait 20 minutes in a queue to get out every single time. 12 years I have used this as a last resort for this very reason.
Always have what u need for a bit of DIY, and the staff are always pleasant and helpful, difficult to find fault really, so it's my place to visit when I'm in need of various, items for a particular job, well done
This is quite an old store now, it's always well stocked and tidy, there is a cutting service here too. Till area gets a bit crowded by the ends of the isles but nothing major. Staff are pleasant and helpful.
There is a key cutting machine by the tills too
Barkley our little Dandie Dinmont Terrier came in and enjoyed his visit
Clean and save place to shop. Some great deals on everything that I needed
I placed an order this morning online and shortly after was contacted to say this item is not available, an alternative was offered but as I was ordering for someone else, Kelly said she would call back within half an hour which she did. The alternative item was not suitable so a refund was given straight away, I was really impressed with Kelly's professionalism and she is a credit to your company, will definitely order again from this store.
Good prices , the mix in store paint department is great for matching paint colours
Had what we needed and staff were helpful
We went to purchase dulux sample paints. We managed to pick 3 but the one I mainly wanted wasn't with the samples. Even if we wanted to take away a chosen paint there weren't many tins on the shelves. We were very surprised about this as thought there would have been plenty but the colours we looked at were not there. Oh well we can try again another day. Staff seemed very helpful when asking where we could find sisal rope but for the length it seemed quite expensive overall the store was clean.
Well laid out store knowledgeable and helpful staff good prices
Good for all your DIY needs, good garden selection bit expensive but the plant's are good quality. When I went they had no gravel, cobbles or edging stones.
Helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely visit again
Very helpful staff my favourite DIY place
Not sure from where to start, in my long history with b&q i notice that you need to compare the price and quality with other stores, when is too cheap is because the product is poor quality, but overall you always find alternatives. Staff is friendly at this location and helpfull.
Can't beat B&Q for paint, decorating and all other household repair jobs that always seem to pop up at the most annoying time.
In an era of saving the planet and recycling, maybe these stores will begin a comeback away from the throw away culture we seem to have slipped into.
B&Q Etruria is a smaller version of the meir store but not smaller in options, just smaller in space, get there early as parking is a limited when all the other stores on the shopping park are in full swing or you will have to take a short stroll to get there.
Prices are reasonable and pretty much match other DIY stores and a bargain can be found if you look hard enough or are lucky enough to be there at the right time for a price reduction.
The overall experience is calm, no stress, the staff are friendly and helpful nothing is too much of an issue.
9/10 it would have been 10/10 if prices were a little lower to entice more people to have a go at DIY instead of throwing away and replacing something that could have been repaired or updated with a little care and attention.
Okay when they have the stock, but that’s rare. Often end up travelling a little further to Meir which is much more reliable with stock levels and just has a lot more in general.
Had what I needed in stock friendly staff as well
Staff are very helpful, polite and friendly. Pretty much always get what I need. Good selection of products in store and garden centre.
Get anything here plants hardware, decorating etc
Staff are really helpful all the times I've been there (especially when you have no idea what you need for a certain job).
Good value but they still allow blue badge bay abuse by builders vans and private vehicles
Everything you need in one shop for DIY
Classed as a mini-warehouse but still a good selection in store. And of course being on the retail park you get to wander round a few other stores also.
Sorry to everybody if I hurt anybody please forget me
garden part had everything we was looking for staff was really helping and kind, price was great for the things we needed , will return for more im sure.
Always get what I need for DIY Staff very busy always point the direction for what I need or what isle I guess covid has a part to play in that otherwise I would of given 5 stars
Unfortunately didn't have what we needed, enjoyed wandering in the garden section, some gorgeous African Marigolds and an excellent price.
I like B&Q, it's bright, it has a great selection of products.
The only downside, the prices! The prices are quite high on a great deal of products compared to some other places.
Although, they have started selling a 'fill your own bag' for screws, that's good value (That and the orange bucket for 99p), good packing can lead to you making a good saving against the pre-packed screws, you can even mix different size screws in the bag, bargain.
A great place to go for general DIY materials.
Great choice grate staff
Nice and helpful store staff.
Quality affordable products available here
Poor parking untidy poor lay out of store but good choice of DIY and prices not to silly
Not sure which one of two products was the best, but after asking a few questions managed to get the right one for me, many thanks to you all, great friendly and helpful team.
Staff on the entrance very informative. Check staff not so good. Pleasant, but very slow and unorganized.
We always get sorted at B&Q here. The staff are really helpful and it is lovely to be greeted by the door by someone there :)
Didn't have what I required but helpful staff
Efficient, friendly and fair priced
Bought wallpaper from here, it is good quality and reasonably priced. There is also a great selection of plants. They stock everything for DIY jobs.
It's B and Q what can I say l, everything you need for the home DIYer
Went in for some pictures frames got what we wanted
COVID 19 measures in place. The trip was quick went o directed to the plumbing aisle found what was needed, paid then exited. Good to go.
The usual DIY offerings with helpful staff. Parking right outside the door.
Got what I needed but nothings cheap these days
Staff. Scott, in gardening. Went in BnQ tonight. Was looking for a Gazebo. Scott was very helpful and polite, walked me straight to item n then went and fetch me a trolly for item. Thank you.
I really lick gardening so it's a great place for people like me
Quiet on a Wednesday, not sure if that's usual.
On the whole tend to have what I need. Only problem is that it's hit and miss which member of staff you get helping you if you require it; you either get the legends with experience, or the people who don't even know what day it is and don't know the difference between a spanner and a wrench
Good selection of garden tools but some can be a little pricey . Always get my creosote from here too.
Really useful decent price too
Good amount of stuff in some sections but some areas like hardware such as screws, brackets etc were virtually empty.
Prices always pretty reasonable
Great store with plenty of choice
Store is fine but like all B&Q's it's a rip off
Staff helpful. Shame about loss of 10% pensioners disc. They must have lost business, we used to make point of going there. Also they stopped doing Dulux mixer paint. Otherwise good selection of goods for small branch
Helpful staff, excellent stock
Staff directed me straight to what I had gone in for . Saved me having to walk all the wY around shop.
Went in to buy loft boards - 3p cheaper per pack than Wickes. Saved a whopping 9p! Result!
I know this is our only choice but we are not regular like a professional those who go on a regular basis. They know where and what... But we have to wait long for the shop assistant to guide us....
Garden centre is brilliant, plenty of different plants to choose, found everything I needed, will visit again.
Great DIY shop, customer service couldn't have been more helpful
I'm really disappointed! Pensioners' Wednesday (10% discount across the board) has been a fixture for as long as I can remember. Although it made me, and 10,000s of others, no doubt, delay purchases, I still gave all my DIY business to B&Q - including many impulse purchases. But, alas, no more. Apparently, it was discontinued many months ago and now only applies to gardening items - facts that I was unaware of! Having reflected, they will now get none of my future business. I was happy making a 16 mile round trip because it was worthwhile (debatable) but, now, it most certainly isn't! This must apply to vast numbers of pensioners: I shall give my business to local suppliers and support them. Bet I'm not alone! Au revoir, B&Q, it was nice while it lasted! PS. If it wasn't for the vast choice offered and good Customer Service people (ironically, often part-time retirees!), I would have awarded just 2 stars, due to distances between stores and often confusing displays (try looking for specific light bulbs and you'll know what I mean)
Excellent customer service. The staff were so obliging. Really surprised at the level of customer comes first . Nothing was too much trouble. In shock, a lot of retailers today can't be bothered. Thanks B an Q ☺😊
Great store lots of items to chose from and really helpful staff
Smaller store but there was a member of staff there who went out of his way to help us. Made sure we spent some money in store even though what we wanted wasn't available.
Never seems to have what we want
Got some lovely plants from B&Q and at a brilliant price, and disability parking right outside the front
Good store can get most things from this b and q it has a pretty decent garden center too.
Wasn't impressed with John on the Checkout. Although he was senior in years, he was most unhelpful to the very elderly couple in the queue in front of me by making them empty their trolley of all the flowers and baskets that they were buying. When they asked if they had to take them all out instead of saying no just one and I can scan them, he made them empty everything. Not very helpful to a couple for more senior in years to himself. The whole thing just look like laziness to me.
Good selection for necessities and good location to nip in whilst shopping elsewhere. Never long queues and usually has full shelves
Good place for some diy stuff just have to shop around to get the best prices i use the inter net first if B&Q is the best will get the diy stuff from B&Q
Difficult to get off the car park.
Normal BnQ. Staff were friendly and helpful. Fast easy experience.
Good stock, friendly staff and plenty of choice for general DIY stuff and gardening.
Helpful/great staff but didn't appreciate being followed around by the bald security guy throughout being there! Because I'm young and wanting to decorate my house, I was automatically singled out.
Good store need eyes and a patient brain walking round want this want that
Some staff are not very helpful. When you ask where certain things are they don't seem to know half the time.
Well done to the staff at B&Q today, very well managed system to try to keep everyone social distancing. Staff were very professional and helpful, keep up the good work 👍
Well today I rang up for some wallpaper to be put aside as the other b&q did not have the right batch number , I spoke to a chap explained everything and he checked the stock and found me a roll a put it a side for me ! Thanks for your assistance
Went to the B&Q on the festival park at Stoke on Trent and found the assistant called Ollie very helpful. I don't normally write on these reviews but I would like to say he went out of his way and he is a credit to your company.
I found it very safe to shop in as there are plenty of sanitizer stations all around the store
Some food bargains on at the moment.
All the bbq equipment is very cheap.
There is some deck chairs for kids also going cheap.
Wayne in B&Q festival Park was so helpful yesterday! I went in after having a total nightmare with a product I had brought and Wayne was totally understanding and went out of his way to help me.
Thanks again!
It’s a BnQ got what you need
I can almost always find almost what I need. But making do isn't usually a problem for those who frequent B&Q. Nice place, nice people, student friendly prices.
Fantastic service at the paint mixing station, professional and friendly. Kim was very helpful!
Got just what I wanted, even better than I thought £10 cheaper. Eeh,eh. Lovely jubbly.
I needed equipment to repoint a wall on my house, Mick asked me if I needed any help and adviced me on the tools I need and may not need. Really helpful and patient service.
The social distancing is to go one way up n down the isle which is great but I literally walked around twice to find the right isle to go down as it's all one way couldn't find my way back to what I wanted and gave up not a lot of facilities for disabled people either as all the spaces except 3 disabled are blocked off
Good array of products but 2 to a till is a bit poor, staff also gave good advice
Went to look at electric fire suites. The ones they had were competitive however some looked cheap and not how they appear in the catalogue. Also at festival Park they do not show any working.
Everything I needed was available to me staff was really helpful can’t recommend enough.
Very good got what I wanted plus more
Reliable, always been my best go to, staff have always been helpful & friendly.
It's not easy to find things when you're not a regular visitor. Staff not very helpful so I didn't get what I wanted
I love the b&q own brand emulsion....excellent quality
Popped into this B&Q several times and seeing as though this is not my local store I was very impressed with the customer service.
Store is well stocked and staffed by knowledgeable staff.
From pot plants to homeware. Tools, blinds, flooring, wallpapers, curtains, rugs, cushions, shelves and many other items for your home, etc ....
Very helpful staff always have what I want when visiting the store.
Not a bad medium sized B&Q, but not one of there mega stores that's 'stocks everything'. You can get most of your DIY needs from here.
Used this branch a lot over the years including at my previous homes where I did complete bathroom refits. All good.
Fairley good will go again friendly staff on the tills .
Excellent customer service
Not very well stocked , told to go the one on meir park .Oh well 🤔
Got quality garden table and 6 chairs for 95 quid bargain
Staff always helpful store starting to look bit shabby and dated needs coat of paint and tidy up.
Friendly staff especially the ones who have been there years
staff helpfull but found it a bit messy dirty
Easy to park, staff very helpful and found what I was looking for from my vague description I gave them. Prices are not too bad.
Got all your needs kept everyone at a safe distance. Hand sanitizer in a few places
Far better than Meir. Staff are helpful & polite. Will be going back.
All what you need for your renovation, very helpful staff, honest advice. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Thought I'd call in to B@Q for a change to see if I could get some cable trunking, instead of the internet, and they had exactly what I needed, also I found it cheaper, really pleased.
Excellent store, pretty much everything you need for DIY, staff very attentive and helpful and prices reasonable.
Got what i wanted, staff i bit miserable but not a major issue.
Easy to find products and excellent customer service
Very good service, friendly helpful staff.
Good sized store and garden section, but over priced and it's often difficult to find a member of staff should you require assistance.
Got everything I needed easy peasy
Excellent choice of wallpapers
Great staff. Really friendly and helpful. Helped with my questions and was in and out in about 10 mins.
Not bad but as per usual you have to buy a bag of screws even though you only want2
Just purchased a Patio set very reasonable Meg and Wayne were both very helpful good service all round
Functional. Well stocked. Clean. Polite staff.
Good choice of diy product competitive prices.
As I like gardaning
I like to go to place like this
Most of the time have what I need
And nice staff as well
I hope that the meet and greet person becomes a permanent fixture, as less scary someone asking if I need help instead of me having to look for a staff member to help me.
Kitchen appointment, yet to purchase
My favourite DIY place on fezzy, staff are so nice and helpful, good parking, easy get to.
Great customer experience , I had some paint mixed to a specific colour and was impressed with the service I received

Some of the staff don't seem to want to help you with anything, where as some will go out of their way to help
Small B&Q but has most things you'd need. Expensive and doesn't have much of a cordless tool selection
