Highly recommend DGHeath, a local company in Pontarddulais. Extensive range of high quality products at competitive prices. Excellent customer service, all the staff I dealt with are very knowledgeable and helpful with advice on which products to use. Quick delivery with drivers who are very friendly and cooperative. I have accomplished so many projects in a brand new, large garden. Purchased wood to build slatted fencing, construct raised vegetable beds, planters, sleeper walls, covered block terraced walls and a pergola with Trex decking. So convenient to source everything from one place.

Having recently had a composite decking structure built I can honestly say that D.G.Heath have been by far the best supplier to deal with and cannot recommend them highly enough to others. Right throughout my project all staff I had dealings with were very professional, knowledgeable and more than willing to provide me advice and guidance that enabled me to get the right products to deliver the outcome I wanted. The service you have is always second to none and over the last 10 years of using d g heath I have never had bad service and the quality of timber is always excellent too! Had a quote last week from Jamie Jones, excellent price, they could have delivered it within a couple of days but I picked a later date! It turned up early morning and on time. I have been a landscape gardener for over 8 years and used many suppliers in that time. None have surpassed the professionalism and knowledge of the staff, particularly one of the managers, Jamie Jones, who has always gone above and beyond in heling me out in difficult situations. There is always someone on the end of the phone willing to help with any questions or issues I’ve had. The materials DG Heath supply, from fencing and decking to landscaping, are always of the highest quality. DG Heath have also introduced a new tracking system for deliveries which comes in extremely handy when I can’t be there, all Jamie had to do was send me a link which showed me the tracking information as a live feed down to the minute which I have not had from any other company. I was was so impressed with the delivery service DG Heath gave me as a brick layer i have several diffrent jobs on at the same time and has been hard to get deliverys on time with a few local companies to my suprise jamie at DG Heath Explained to me that they have a new tracking system in place which could send me a email with a tracking link all i had to do was open the link and i could see the vehicle on my phone with the time of arrival of my delivery, this was genius as i was able to leave the job i was on to meet the delivery driver on a seperate site to recieve my delivery and start the job i promised the customer, I could not ask for more of a company BEST LOCAL TIMBER AND DELIVERY SERIVE AROUND. The sales staff, delivery drivers are all friendly and helpful and wouldn't fault the company at all. However, the quality of the heavy duty lattice trellis panels I received are really quite poor. Panels are joined together for transport with thin splices of timber using inch long rusty staples which are a nightmare to separate and remove. Why can't they just use cable ties? Construction of the panels is not great either, long staples going through slats which are already rusted and doubtful how long they will last. Additionally, one of the panels was badly split along one edge and I have had to glue and clamp it to hopefully hold. On another panel, one of the slats stops short of the actual frame, leaving an open gap. As mentioned earlier, this review is about the product rather than the company. I have not complained to them as I have only now come to use them and noticed the problems, having purchased them just over a month ago. 25th July I received a response to my review almost immediately, apologising for the issues and a kind offer to replace anything I was unhappy with, and that they would contact the manufacturer about the quality. I cannot fault the response and the willingness to resolve the problems. Will definitely buy from D G Heath again.

I was recommended by a friend who lives in pontarddulais to try out dg Heath as I bought my first house this year and I needed new internal doors I knew nothing about doors or sizes etc, so I went on a Saturday with my mother and was told by one of the men who works there to go into the showroom and one of the sales team would help ! I was surprised how lovely the show room was and how professional the sales team were, I was asked some questions but I had no clue to any of the answers like sizes etc, I was told to take a catalog home to pick the doors I liked I was given a contact number and to what’s app the ref code in the catalog and I would get a quote over within an hour, this service was outstanding as I was send a picture of the door and a quote with availability within 30 minutes, i will be placing the order next week

Over the last year or so I have order various timber products from this company. Their products consistently represent good value for money. More importantly their staff are always helpful and have useful advice to offer. Most recently I have been ordering tongue and groove timber to line my summer house. I recently completed a house renovation project and I was having difficulty in finding new internal doors of suitable quality and size. Absolutely thrilled with excellent service I have received from DG Heath. I went into the trade shop for advice to build my own slatted fence and gate. As a young female i felt anxious about going into a trade counter and asking for help but every single member of staff was extremely helpful and encouraging. I there repeatedly throughout my garden project with queries and each time was given time and help I needed. The boys cut the wood to the sizes i needed to help make the job easier and calculated the best way to use my materials with minimal wastage. Due to current restrictions everywhere, the hardest part was getting through on the phone. But once answered the service was first class. The phones are answered cheerfully, the product knowledge extensive and the prices are great. When the items were delivered the same applied with a cheerful attitude and a no bother attitude to placing items where requested. All in all a pleasant experience.

I have just visited DGHeath in Pontarddulais and purchased the composite fencing. The lady who served myself was extremely helpful and friendly. The order was for my daughters home and the delivery service was superb. The order had 1 small part damaged and they replaced it without any fuss. I have walked passed on numerous occasions and admired the composite decking and the wooden fencing but never actually gone inside until this. The showroom has a large selection of quality internal wooden flooring and doors. I will definitely return here for any products that I may require in the future. I believe that customer service is a vital part of running a good business and this business has the best I have received in a very long time. If anyone is doing any work around the home i would definitely look here for your purchase you will struggle to compare with any other supplier.

I bought all my decking materials and supports etc from DG Heath and I was very pleased with all their timber and prices etc: However what has left a bit of a sour taste is that when I went to treat my decking they recommended the "Ronseal Ultimate Protection Decking Oil" as the best on the market and I bought two 5l tins which cost me well over £104. I thought that all their other prices were very competitive but having needed to buy some more as I ran out the same product is on-line at Amazon for £23.19 per 5l tin. (So feeling slightly ripped off on this price). I can thoroughly endorse their timber products and prices though.
