A. O.Lovely helpful staff!
I visited with 3 young children for plants and play sand. The plants I could manage but the sand was a struggle when trying to push the pushchair too. A big thanks to Jamie for bring the sand to the front of the store for me. This was a massive help.
S. K.Had limited time to pick up one item and I found assistance straight away from a chap of a different department. They were short staffed but still very professional and courteous. A very good experience this time round. I tend to prefer b&q to any other establishment, tbh.
D. S.A good sized store with most of the DIY essentials that you could need. A few ranges could be improved (or I'm just too picky!). A very good quick sale items area that I didn't need but still found myself popping a few into my basket, just in case. Quick efficient service today.
L. D.It's a massive place, full of absolutely too many different options. Just the paints/gloss section was absolutely overwhelming. I was only after some white gloss, and primary colour emulsions, but became embroiled in an endless journey of lots of shades of primary colours.
Things got even more complicated when hunting down lino flooring. Basically had to navigate loads of fake bathrooms to do so.
I didn't even want a new bathroom, but some of those baths looked tempting!
I would definitely recommend to people who are seriously dedicated to DIY as they could easily enjoy a full day out here.
Have to take a star off though, because for normal people it's incredibly overwhelming.
C. B.Good shop for most DIY & Gardening items. A little pricey but we can usually find what we want. Today the assistant that served me at the till was very friendly and went out of his way to help me put the item I had purchased into a large bag that I was struggling with. Thank you Lliam.

J. E. n. T.B&Q is usually the same where ever you go but Telford has one extra thing going for it and that is the Staff. I asked for help in one of the aisles and the gentleman went out of his way to fetch what I wanted with a smile and a chat which as a wheelchair user made me feel like a 'normal' customer only to find at the till, the young lady ignored my chair and we had a laugh about the weather and how it controls our daily jobs.

A.Why is it I go in there for something and am always coming out with more?? Oh well I am always surprised by certain things that they stock that you don't seem to see in other DIY places. Only downside is it's always quite busy in there which doesn't help if you have social anxiety 😬

D. D.Wide selection of goods and decent sized outdoor garden supplies department, with clearance priced plants. Fencing, decking and paving too. Free parking outside and other shops on the same retail park. Quite crowded as bank holiday but covid regs in place.
C. C.Went here over the weekend. Brought a new 8 piece table and chairs for the garden.
On returning home we opened it all up checked it over, only to find out that the sides of the table was all scratched, so we put it back in the box loaded it into the car returned to the store. Spoke to a bloke called Graham who was very helpful in sorting out the problem I had. I was aloud to check the table set that they had left in store only to find that the one they had left had a big t shape scratch it the top of it. So I decided that we would keep the one that was in the car and it was less damaged. Graham kindly said that he would knock off £50 from the table to cover the damage. (He must of been a mind reader cuz that I what I wanted knocked off )
All the staff that I spoke to on this day was helpful even the guy at the till was helpful.

What I do like about B&Q is that they still have staff around the store that are happy to help you, whether it is to find a product or even some advice on goods. It is often the simple things that leave an impression but in my visit yesterday I had 3 staff members in the middle of the store that came and chat to me and help me with some of the products I was looking at and gave me some great help. So yeah, it is a big national chain store and you know what you get but they are doing something right

T. K.This b&q is very similar to all the other b&q stores. Possibly slightly larger than average but still maintaining the "out of stock of the exact thing you need" ranging model so beloved by the retailer.
The staff were nice enough, with a little coaxing, certainly nicer than the average for the Stevenage branch. But, then again, retailers know well that you can't get decent staff in Stevenage. Just one of those things.
Meh. I'm just messing - it's a fine shop. I'm sure they'll have what you need (assuming it's a consumer DIY product and not, for example, haddock).

K. H.Having been here several times during covid and the restriction they had in place they have dealt with situation very well. I was looking for a specific saw for a wooden vivarium project. Old gray haired man that came to help me was extremely friendly didnt get his name, he was very knowledgeable about the products and helped choose best saw. Quing system ti pay is fast normally two or three members staff working the tills. So wasnt waiting long to pay. Wheelchair access right and left of entrance. Easy access one door in one door out.

But, all the customers that I encountered, did what they could to distance.
During this third session of house arrest stores like B & Q are essential to maintain some sort of sanity within our lives....

S.Random DIY store selling DIY equipment at slightly above market value prices various special offers to entice you in; obvious marketing tactics etc. In a nutshell it's a DIY store it sells DIY stuff! Its pretty obvious! BTW what does B&Q even mean? Rat fighting cages as a suggestion; dragons den...I'll give you everything you want for 10% of your rat fighting cage business idea........

L. S.1 chap outside obviously too interested in his phone to even consider customer service, just a grumble here and there. "Get a trolley", I said I didnt need one today, "Yeah you do. There isn't a conveyor system so they're scanning from the trolley" (goes straight back to phone)
Inside the staff were friendly and helpful, they seemed upbeat and ready to assist customers (hence my 3 stars)but back outside this boy looks up at me then back to his phone, I stood there for a minute whilst the other chap was cleaning trolleys down, and had to ask what to do next before this lad would even engage.
This guy was a complete and utter embarrassment to the company. Everyone else was helpful so let's hope this 1 bad apple doesn't poison the apple cart!

L. C.What can I say? It is what it is and that is stock chosen to part you with your money, with little thought to quality and in the case of tools, choice. Its advantages are that it is convenient and has ample parking at most times of the year. It is stocked with, what has been calculated to be, what the customer wants (without actual regard to the customer), whilst maximising profit is the driving force.
S. T.This branch has things well sorted re distancing etc with controlled access. Plants have suffered knock on effects of covid and are not of the highest quality. All other products appear to be in good supply.
P. S.Very friendly staff. Helpful and knowledgeable. Not quite as much choice as the Shrewsbury store and looking tired and dated throughout.

J.When to B&Q yesterday Sunday 17th May for the first time since covid lockdown. Very impressed with the safety procedures and staff. I needed a little help so approach one of the staff, what an amazing young lady (named Kaz) she was so helpful and polite with a wonderful jolly personality she did make me laugh. Thank you Kaz for all your help and brighting my day.

S.Great parking with disability spaces right by the door, currently you have to queue to enter the store due to covid, good selection of products but they do not offer a timber cutting service, so you have to buy a full length and cut it down yourself in the carpark or do as I did and go somewhere where they do cut timber for you.

E. E.I would just like to say what a fantastic job B&Q Telford are doing. When you arrive you are told how long the wait is in the queue, you are given a trolley which has been disinfected then when you are allowed inside you are greeted and asked to disinfect your hands and if you're wearing gloves them also then you are asked if you could spend no longer than 15 minutes inside

C. W.Visited on Sunday 06 September 2020 to buy a new lawn mower blade. The B&Q store has now got hand sanitizers in the foyer as customers enter and lots of yellow tape on the floor to try and ensure social distancing around the store. However in some rows, like the tools row, the customers were ignoring the tape and standing a lot closer to each other. The queueing system was better observed and at busier times when the queue gets longer a member of staff helps maintain safe queueing.

D. J.I used to mildly dislike B&Q but internet click and collect has revolutionised my life. As ever, a deadly tightrope of prices; some they clearly price match against competitors, others..well it's a sort of roulette of orange and white. It's a real man-shop, you can browse toys while the wife checks out the lighting aisle or compares 6,578 shades of almost-white. Basically, Google what you need (power tool, manly hardware) compare the prices across the stores and do a hit and run. Beware purchasing 'a la carte' - you could be walking into the worst value purchase since Poundland started selling condoms. The car parks are often deeply entertaining with their curious one way systems...a bit like Telford in general. Go there. I challenge you to leave with nothing. See, I do like B&Q really.
