I went to the store having real problems with a shower hose, where part of my mixer tap fitting had become lodged in the now degraded hose. I initially thought that I had bought the wrong connector and eventually worked out the actually problem. I spent a long time searching for the replacement part to no avail. I then saw 3 members of staff in the bathroom planning department. One of whom (Glenn I believe) patiently listened to my problems and then fetched tools and along with a colleague managed to free the trapped part so I was able to repair my shower. Unbeknownst to those members of staff, I have been having a HORRENDOUS time and their help and kindness not only meant I was able to shower tonight (everyone around will benefit for that!) but also raised my spirits massively. Thank you so much. You going the extra mile to help me made all the difference and I am very grateful.

My local branch never seems to have the stock I want when I go in (no grinding discs.or saw blades for example today so they missed out on a power tool sale and the associated blades/discs). Shame as always priced well and staff very helpful. Had a refit too so nice and new, overall though a nice place if they have your bits.

Bought a garden incinerator 9th Apr from Worthing store, no price visible on storage shelf, so asked an employee who was working near by and he said it was £20 including lid. When I get to the till it has jumped to £25! NOT very happy, will shop around in future if this is going to start happening.

Useful range of fair-quality material at sensible prices, but don't rely on the online store quantities as posted on their site; I'm sure you they have a problem with inventory management, just go and browse the goodies.

With CV19 situation, more stock than local Littlehampton store. Only thing that was annoying was that they only have one person on the till so there was 14 people waiting to pay when I was there, after queuing to get in. More people on the tills would mean people spend less time in store.

Has most of what I need at a good price. Staff can be a bit hit and miss. I was told it would be a five minute wait while the product was retrieved from the warehouse. After 20 minutes we approached the warehouse man only to be told, nope it's not in stock and he wished the floor staff would not say it's in stock. Other times they try really hard to be helpful. Hey-ho.

Car park spaces a bit too small. Setup as if it were an asda car park. Get transit and you'll have to straddle more than one space. Can get very busy. Staff helpful. Clean and tidy store. Alot there, good variety. Recommended checking before hand what you want but also good to see if something else will be fit for purpose. Average price range. Ideal for DIYer. Roughly same price as B&Q but I'd say 'of better build quality'.

Good hardware/building supplies store, I tend to buy timber here as usually they are much better on price when compared to other diy stores (both of them 😉) ... staff are knowledgeable but a little thin on the ground, hence 4 stars ... though all stores of this type are cutting staff, so not a reflection on those remaining.

Wickes is a pretty reliable DIY shop and I always find it competitive compared to b&q. I've been visiting at midday and find no queuing issues. It's covid-19 precautions were a bit iffy today and I hope they improve them. No clear signing for washing your hands or wearing a mask.

The store has had a facelift it is modern and clean. My wife did not complain about the experience. It is now a hybrid of a trade centre and a consumer shop you now want to go there forget B&Q this is the place.

Generally has most of what you need but don't ask an assistant to help assuming you can find one. Like most hardware shops in the UK and unlike in Europe all items like nuts and bolts are prepacked and not sold by weight. So you are paying extra for the packaging and labour to put 4 bolts into a packet and if you want 6 bolts you have to over buy and spend. And make sure you keep your reciept. Even if it's Wicks own brand they will not refund ir credit without it. Yes and even if the assistant that served you and sold you the wrong item remembers you. What a fiasco.

Many visits in the past a little.more expensive than some but most things in stock so if your inspired all of a sudden to complete or start that DIY project nip down there and get what you need...to follow managed to get new gate hinges which most others didn't have
