I've been told about the lovely sausages and excellent beer garden. Couldn't fathom why there is a dedicated bin for mashed potato but I look forward to seeing it with my own human eyes. (Not to be confused with potato eyes) #savetheNHS

Just wanted to say what a fantastic experience we had at the paediatric outpatients department this morning! We traveled up from Lancaster as My little boy was booked in for some tests and honestly the doctors and nurses were simply amazing with him! Sorry I can’t remember everyone’s names but thank you to Emily and the team! He said he enjoyed the visit more than his school trip to the zoo! Thank you for everything you do!

Second cataract op on 28th April. Staff were fantastic especially Penny & James. Care given brilliant yet very relaxed atmosphere. Mr Singh was great explaining from start to end of procedure. These people never stop & are a credit to FGH

Great atmosphere, good sausages. Idyllic beer garden. Was left wondering about the mash potato bin. Fried egg available on request. #SaveTheNHS

Great beer garden, plenty storage for refuse mash. Breakfast and X-ray in under twenty minutes and enough benches to sleep on. Six thums up emoji.

Absolute Angels can not do enough for you. I was in A&E recently and although it was very busy everyone worked their little socks off, it took 4 people, fluids, medicine and lots of kindness and hardwork to get me better so I could go home. Thank you so much xx

My 81 year old mother was a day patient at FGH having a hernia op. All the staff who looked after her were great, and helped her overcome her fears. Not easy times for NHS staff, and they were all kind & courteous. Well done!

Great staff in A&E ,x ray department.very polite and helpful.but in Minors area receptionist is very rude (feels bit racist). This man worked on 11/07/2022 around 2.30.

Spent 3 hours in a and e and minor injuries for ear infection on Friday with suspected piercing jewelry in my ear! Don't like to complain but a and e staff not particularly friendly and guy on minor injuries desk positively surly. After 2.5 hours not one member of staff updated us re waiting times etc BUT the lady who actually saw me was an angel. So kind and friendly. I just don't understand why staff dealing with stressed and nervous patients have the same attitude.

Went for a tour round birth Centre, absolutely phenomenal from the staff right through to the rooms. Amazing place, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Felt right at home, the birth rooms have a pool in them. Everything has been thought about was really impressed, relaxing atmosphere. Wife Had a baby there and it was the single most amazing experience ever. The staff were excellent and they were experts in all fields. Looked after my wife and newborn catered for all there needs. To sum it up Wow. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟

This week we had to take my Mother to A&E twice with dementia related issues. We were treated with exceptional care by the staff: Kerry, Alison and Karen. They showed my Mum kindness and compassion. Our family are extremely grateful for their support and going the extra mile to support us at a very difficult time. They are a credit to Barrow Hospital and hope this small recognition will go a long way to thank them!

My husband and I were on holiday in the Lake District last week and needed to visit A&E.
The service and staff were excellent, A&E, AMU and Imaging – I had an ECG, blood tests and x-ray and results were received in a couple of hours.
A lovely hospital with lovely staff, the people of Furness are so fortunate, I just wish we had this back in Dudley!

My husband, Geoff Rose, was taken by excellent paramedics from Seathwaite, Nr Broughton to A&E, after collapsing suddenly on Bank Holiday Sunday 1/4/18 afternoon. We were given amazing support and medical attention throughout our time there. From Reception Staff through to all medical support staff, nurses, doctors and a warm welcome in the restaurant! We can't thank you enough and really appreciate all you did for us.

From what i have experienced this is a fantastic hospital cumbria should be honoured to have a hospital like this. My father is currently in ICU/INTENSIVE CARE UNIT the way they looked after my dad and us as a family is unbelievable they have supported us from start and still supporting us. They are so good kind hearted people they will always take that extra mile. They know that you are going through a tough time and they are always there for you. To all the team in the ICU this includes both shifts the night shift and the day shift give your selfs a round of a plause you deserve it. The only names that i am familiar with is lesley and gema. Us as a family appreciate everything that you have done you have played a big part in our lives a big thank you from my heart and family You are doing a fantastic job you treated my dad as your own KEEP IT UP GOD BLESS we wish you all more success in the near future THANK YOU i have left the same review on Facebook too
