Would just like to recommend Billy at Mobility Centre Kirkintilloch for the great customer service he provided my mum on our recent visit. We were looking for a mobility bed for my mum and Billy’s attention to detail and time he spent with my mum was excellent. He talked about why my mum needed the bed and about what functions would really work for her and recommended the best mattress too. She even decided to buy a special chair too and again his customer service was excellent. He spent so much time with us and we never felt rushed as this was a really important decision for my mum to make. He was really patient and and made her feel special and she is extremely happy with her purchases. We visited on Friday the 23rd Sept. I would totally recommend Billy for his excellent service and knowledge of these products and advice.

I became aware of Mobility Scotland three weeks ago when my specialist nurse told me I would be provided with a riser recliner chair ordered from this company and to expect a call from them. This happened within a couple of days when a charming lady called to ask me a few questions such as my preference of colour. A few days later Billy called to arrange delivery for the following day. We were very impressed with the manner of Billy and Pierce who were so polite, respectful and helpful with a good sense of humour thrown in. Billy took time assembling the chair to make sure it met my needs. Although not in store we were given a webpage to acces and choose the mobility aids required. These friendly,helpful, knowledgeable staff ordered them in,assembles and then delivered them. Outstanding. My family interrogated the market in Scotland for Stairlifts and Homelift companies and Mobility Scotland came out on top every time. The transparency, enthusiasm, responsiveness and overall professionalism was head and shoulders above everyone else. When you’re spending £15k on a homelift you need to get it right and we did, install complete after only 6 weeks and it’s amazing, mum and dad have access to the whole house again and we have peace of mind. The staff here were sooooo helpful and approachable. We had to get ramps to load a wheelchair into the car, and we weren't sure what type to get. The staff were great, knowledgeable and sensitive to my daughter who is recently disabled and still upset by the wheelchair. We actually had a really good laugh with the staff, which was not what we were expecting but certainly lightened the whole experience. Didn't feel at all pressurised to buy, although the product recommended was obviously fit for purpose, so we did purchase it. Definitely recommend this place.

Normally delivery across the Clyde to a small village outside of Dunoon is usually problematical eg can only do it on such a such day but not for this company. Technicians who made the trip could not have been more pleasanter and helpful. The bed itself is great - first night sound sleep for ages. The reclining function was just what I needed. I needed a new bed and shopped around carefully online. Eventually I chose to buy from Opera who offered an excellent selection in the brochure they sent me on request. However it was a bit of a risk; I had no way of knowing if what I'd get would match what was 'on the tin'. To make matters worse they are located some distance from my home so taking a look wasn't an option. It was therefore a surprise to me to discover the delivery and installation would be from Mobility Scotland - as a suggestion for the future I think this link should be more widely publicised - especially give my subsequent very positive experience. The delivery and installation took place precisely as planned. The team were courteous and efficient and quite clearly knew exactly what they were doing. However the package was without a vital piece of equipment: the remote control! They weren't fazed, but promptly arranged for a supplementary delivery from the Mobility Scotland showroom. The distances are not insignificant and between them the staff arrranged a rendezvous at around a halfway point. I was able to guess the timeframe for this and, sure enough, it all worked out as I had anticipated. So I have a brand new and very comfortable bed, set up perfectly with good explanations of its operation. And as they left the team apologised for the 'mistake' - which certainly was not their fault. Altogether this was a remarkably great experience. I would have no hesitation in going back to Mobility Scotland for future needs and I have already recommended the firm to a friend who is herself embarking on a search fro a new bed. Well done!

What a great experience with Mobility Scotland. On visiting the showroom I was welcomed by Claire who explained the process then arranged to visit my father to assess the correct recliner for him. Claire then confirmed the day of delivery. Within the week the chair arrived. The 2 members of staff setting up the chair were very professional and had great patience with my father who has the start of dimentia. They allowed him to chat away even when it was not related to the seat. They then showed us the controls and encouraged him to have a seat on it to ensure he was comfortable sitting on it. We went to Mobility Scotland in Krikintilloach to try out reclining chairs. Billy was very patient, thoughtful and kind to my mum, going at her pace and letting her try the chairs without any pressure. He was happy to share his knowledge and advise on a range of products - not just the high end ones. We came away much more informed about reclining chairs in general and with a range options to consider further. If we decide to go ahead and make a purchase it would be with Mobility Scotland.

My wife and I accompanied my very frail 90 years old mother to the Mobility Scotland showroom a few weeks ago. That was when we met Billy. He very carefully discussed with my mother, and us, her wish to buy a riser recliner chair in the hope of giving her a little more physical comfort. We had a very thorough description of the options available and help in reaching a conclusion. Mother had the opportunity to try chairs for comfort (I was surprised how many chairs were on display) and to look at many different fabric options. Along with the demonstration of functions, Billy checked various measurements to try to ensure the best fit. Today, mother's chair was delivered - by Billy, no less. First of all he and his associate carefully removed the large old recliner that had outgrown mother (not that it had got bigger, but she had certainly shrunk). Then they delivered and installed the new chair. After everything was checked, mother quickly took the opportunity for a hands-on test, putting the chair through its paces. She was delighted with the appearance, size, fit and manoeuvrability of her new furniture. This whole purchase experience was great from start to finish. The service was diligent and professional. Mother received great respect from Billy, as well as being entertained in the friendliest manner. We were looking to purchase a mobility scooter for my mother and were unsure where to go so i searched online and found Mobility Scotland in Kirkintilloch. As soon as i started to read the reviews i knew that this was the place we were looking for. We turned up one Saturday afternoon and were met by a lovely lady called Claire who immediately put us at ease with her calm, friendly manner. Claire asked all the relevant questions so that she could ascertain exactly what type of scooter my mother needed. Claire showed us all the options she had available, she made us fully aware of each aspect of each scooter and she answered every question we asked her and most importantly she left the decision entirely up to us as to which choice we should make having given us all the relevant information we required. There was NO hard sell and NO pressure. Having chosen her scooter my mother had a test drive and we made arrangements to go back to pick up her new scooter the next week. The scooter was ready and gleaming exactly at the time and day we had arranged with Claire to pick it up. Claire went through an extensive handover process leaving nothing to chance and again answered some questions we had thought of we complete ease. Claire reassured us that at any time she was only at the other end of the phone if we had any questions or if we encountered any problems Mobility Scotland would be there to rectify and support us going forward with our purchase. In summary i would Highly Recommend Mobility Scotland Kirkintilloch as a great company to deal with. Can't recommend these guys highly enough. My Dad has very limited mobility and was needing to get himself a good quality comfortable rise & recline chair so that he could elevate his feet to relieve fluid retention in the legs, and also to make it easier to stand up to his zimmer. Before we even stepped in the door Billy appeared outside with an umbrella as it was a wonderful winters day (ie it was raining), we were all made to feel extremely welcome, offered teas and coffees, before Billy had a chat regarding what my Dad was looking for in a new chair to establish what would best suit him, took a few measurements in order to get the correct size of chair, then went on to explain in detail the differences between chairs at different levels of the range and his personal recommendation at what he thought would be the best type of chair to go for. Based on his recommendation my Dad tried out the first seat recommended to him by Billy and he was instantly smiling, I have not seen him looking so comfortable in a chair for months, the recliner lifts his legs to the height needed, and with the rise feature of the chair he was able to stand straight from the chair on to his zimmer without assistance for the first time in weeks. He remained sat in the chair for probably the best part of half an hour and didn't show the slightest signs of discomfort, at no point was Billy trying to upsell, if anything his focus was ensuring my Dad got the best value without paying over the odds for it which is a very rare occurrence in a furniture sales environment. Needless to say my Dad ordered the chair without hesitation, that was on Monday and his chair is getting delivered on Friday, combine that with a 2 year warranty and next day response if any breakdowns occur you really can't fault Mobility Scotland in the slightest. I'm sure all their staff are of the same exceptional standard as Billy, a refreshing example of total professionalism and quality, would be great if all businesses displayed the same standards!

Having spent an unpleasant hour or so, due to substandard customer service, in a state of the art, mobility shop where I was looking to replace my old self propelled wheelchair, I then spent a similar amount of time at Mobility Scotland Ltd, Kirkintilloch. The experience was a lesson in “don’t judge a place by it external appearance, or flashy website!” From the moment I entered the premises Claire was the epitome of what you would hope for in a mobility salesperson. She was welcoming, friendly, a good listener, professional and obviously had a heart for her work and for people with disabilities. I watched her with another customer in for a small item, and Claire treated her in exactly the same way as myself. She was also excellent at unobtrusively assessing my disabilities and then relating them to my likely requirements, but without saying anything until once I had started trying various wheelchairs. She then shared her observations and made helpful suggestions. She was patient and offered additional information about items without being asked, as well as answering my numerous questions. At the end of my visit I ordered a new wheelchair and some accessories. While the premises at Kirkintilloch are in an older building which is not that attractive and the setup could never be described as large, or “state of the art”, they carry an adequate stock to enable informed choices to be made and Claire used catalogues to show me a range of accessories that I was interested in which weren’t in stock. Price wise they can accommodate most people and while you can get the same items cheaper by going on the net, or to some other places, the quality is not always the same. The service here is second to none and that, in my opinion, is priceless. I collected my new wheelchair later in the week and the handover service was excellent. Claire took time to check everything was working as it should and made sure that the footplates had been adjusted to suit the length of my legs and that the brakes weren’t too stiff, but were effective. She then came out to my car and offered to lift the chair into the boot for me. All in all a great experience. Thank you.

Can’t thank Billy and the team at Mobility Scotland enough for their support and assistance, who went over and above to help my family during these tough times. I had ordered Sherborne adjustable beds for my parents prior to my dad being discharged from hospital following a below the knee amputation, just when lockdown happened and all production stopped. Due to the pandemic, my dad was released from hospital earlier than anticipated with nothing in place within the room to assist him. When talking to Billy about the situation we found ourselves in, he very kindly arranged for various items which would provide him more comfort in his own bed. Once the British Healthcare Association gave clearance, Billy was able to supply us with a with an adjustable bed for my dad which was a great help until we were able to take delivery of the new ones. Their new beds have now been delivered, installed and providing them both with a lot of comfort especially making life easier for my dad. This shop was a great help to my dad while in Scotland,as my dad forgot his mobility scooter key while we was travelling up to Scotland from London and my sister found this place in a hurry as we was up there for a couple of days and they were glad to help and bent over backwards to help us with a spare key which was given for free and dad brought a scooter rain cover as a thank you for helping so much it was a lifesaver now on my mums keys as a spare. we will come back to you with if we need anything else and would be glad to give them the business when we are in Scotland again 5* Thank you again

My mother purchased a Sherborne Chair from Mobility Scotland and from the minute we walked through the door we were looked after by Billy. He put my mum at ease and explained the benefits of the chair from top to bottom, along with that he talked my mum through all the safety features of the chair, some of which I had no idea were very important. My mum had a bit of an ordeal with a scooter she bought over Facebook (lesson learned!) so we popped in to see about getting her a new one. The staff couldn't have been any friendlier - especially Claire who dealt with us. After speaking to her about what had happened and what we were looking for, she showed us a few models within our price range. She went through everything like how to dismantle them to fit in the car and all the specifications of each one before letting us make a decision. We were able to take the scooter there and then and my mum was absolutely over the moon. What a difference knowing she has a reliable machine with help on hand should anything go wrong. My mother (90 years) has acute arthritis in her hip and is now severely disabled. They can't operate on her because of an existing heart condition and is on strong pain medication, so she has been struggling to get up and down her internal stair, on her hands and knees, for months, and when I asked her local council for help they said it would be at least SIX MONTHS before they could even assess her. In desperation, I turned to Mobility Scotland, Kikintilloch, who were also in her locality. Having spoken to Billy the Operations Manager there, I felt at ease in asking him to liaise with my mum and sister directly as a matter of some urgency as I am in the Scottish Borders some 85 miles away. On behalf of us all, we would like to express our grateful thanks to Billy and his team, in getting out to see mum quickly and they have now installed her new chairlift with a week of my initial enquiry. Mum loves her new stairlift and we can sleep a little easier at night knowing she is less likely to suffer a serious fall. I can't recommend this business highly enough. Graham Riddell

It is Friday 5th July. The time is 4:45pm. Having spent the whole day travelling up to Tarbert (our overnighter before catching the Ferry to Islay), we checked into the Anchor Hotel. It was then that my father in law dropped a bombshell! "I have left the battery to my mobility scooter at home!!" Home is Glossop Derbyshire. Our annual family break to Bowmore is now in the balance. What to do? After contacting the provider of Dad's mobility scooter I was given four telephone numbers listed as distributers of the mobility scooter in Scotland. The first number returned a recorded message out of hours! The next was another recorded message, but this time a ray of hope! It was Billy Finnie stating "please hold and a representative of our customer service will be with you shortly" (or words to that effect). On the line comes Billy himself, after explaining our predicament, an offer of providing a replacement battery and charger from a demo unit was proposed. A quick check on Google Maps of the postcode G66 1SS showed a mere 2.5 hrs to get there! Billy suggested I call him when twenty minutes away and he would talk me to the door! As agreed we met on time and I took delivery of the said battery and charger. Another drive back to Tarbert and I presented the battery and charger to the in laws. Dad was pleased as punch that we could now have a comfortable holiday on Islay as planned, no need for crutches! . A final raise of glasses to Billy in the wee hours, the rescuer of our annual holiday to Islay. This is an example of customer service "nae" obsession to serve a fellow man in need. Had arranged to visit SCS & HSL - but the wife's carers suggested visiting Mobility Scotland Ltd. and am i glad they did - answer -YES. Peace of mind was a massive factor in us working with the team at Mobility Scotland. I must admit our first attempt at buying a scooter was from a well known internet retailer because it was cheaper but it was a disaster, the scooter was delivered damaged and would you believe it, the wrong colour, the ensuing theme was wait five days for an engineer, then another problem would develop and it was another five day wait for another engineer, it was one issue after another, then one of the batteries started playing up, it was so, so, so frustrating. We decided enough was enough and visited Mobility Scotland in Kirkintilloch, from the moment we set foot in their showroom we were warmly received and importantly, listened to, the whole package of support and customer service, was explained to us and we decided to buy a scooter, six months on and we have had two issues which were quickly resolved and taken care of, stress free for us. Once you have purchased from mobility scotland ltd and experienced their complete end to end comprehensive service you will not feel the need to spend time searching the net and wondering what type of item and service have I just purchased, as time goes by I'm sure my husband will be back to Billy and the team for more, and he is local with a showroom where you can go and see and touch the stuff you want to buy, support your local businesses before we lose them forever.

Staff were very helpful when it came to choosing a wheelchair.Let us try different models and pointed us in the right direction.We bought the Karma Lightweight wheelchair 'Transit' model and used it the first time on holiday in Orkney ...a very durable but lightweight chair that even managed the paths around Scara Brae.I particularly like this model because the chair handles are positioned a bit higher than standard models which is great for me since I am tall..no more sore backs.I would highly recommend shopping here for choice,value and expert advice.
