I had a wonderful experience with the staff and everything else from start to finish when I had my baby 4 years ago.
I'm expecting again and I don't need to think twice before choosing to have my antenatal appointments there again. All the midwifes I had the pleasure to meet there were brilliant, professional and caring.
Excellent service

From the reception started professional work and care until the end of the next person you meet, they are remarkable and smart and hard working team . I like their team work, even as individuals they perform well day and night. I had my first child last year and my second this year. I can not thank them enough for their efforts that they gave me, all the care needed.
Thank you Princess Royal maternity !

I would highly recommend the Princess Royal Maternity.
I have given birth here 9 years ago to my little girl and just recently December 2021 to my little boy. The care that myself and my babies received during our time at the Maternity hospital was outstanding.
All the staff that looked after myself and my babies where Angles and I truly can't thank them all enough for the care that we received.
I also found the hospital and Maternity ward very clean and the staff took pride in ensuring that the cleaning was done to a high standard.

I was treated here due to unfortunate miscarriage last year. I was sent to the A&E after 3 hours bleeding non stop waiting for an ambulance to arrive. Almost die. Though the hospital was understaffed at that time, the medical team there were very positive, proactive and attentive. They helped save my life and not enough words to express how grateful i am.

I gave birth to my first child here this month (July 2021). Myself and my baby boy were both so well looked after. All of the staff were really professional, supportive and helpful. I was nervous about giving birth but the midwives and doctors made me feel safe and helped me to have a really positive experience.

I have just had my 4th baby here and can’t thank the antenatal staff, ward 72 staff and the postnatal team staff for all of their care. In particular, Lisa & Heather, midwives on ward 72 were amazing. If it hadn’t been for both of them, my labour experience would have been really rough.
The staff here work really hard, care for their patients and do it fantastically.
Thank you very much from myself and baby Charlie.

I’ve been in the labour ward for days so have seen so many midwives going back and forth and all the different things that happen. Overwhelmingly I see a hard working, amazingly supportive team who do everything they can to make the experience easier for you.
Friendly, positive and just what you need at this vulnerable moment in your life.
For anyone who wants to breastfeed and is worried by the idea you sometimes hear that midwives don’t have time to help you in an nhs hospital, the vast majority of staff here will go out of their way to help you do it and talk it all through.
You have to show to them that you can feed your baby successfully in whatever way you choose to before you leave anyway which I think is a really great requirement.
