Excellent care and attention during MRI scan. Nurses calm, reassuring and kept me well-informed throughout. Particularly useful to know when there were only four more minutes to go inside the scanner... Thanks for that and for other info througout scan time. Patients should expect to get lost in the corridors, but staff are on the look-out for lost-looking patients and will send you in the right direction.

Can't thank the nurses enough. I was a day patient getting a small operation and they were so kind, honest and really looked after me. Overheard a few other patients with different needs and everything seemed to be easily accommodated. Really fantastic group of nurses and doctors.

Just been for a colonoscopy today, great team, was really nervous 😓 was given reassurance and very well looked after Alison senior sister was really good and again supported my needs. Great Team.

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in May 2021.
Like most prostate patients, I have had contact with lots of people from the Urology department. I would like to pay special mention to Kelly Ballie, Senior Cancer Care Pharmacist, and Katherine & Courtney, both secretarial staff.
Kelly has contacted me regularly over this past 18 months and she has been a gem. Thank you Kelly.
Recently I have had to contact the secretarial staff on a number of occasions.
Both Katherine and Courntney are 'on the ball'.
They fully appreciate that they are dealing with cancer patients and each could not have been more helpful and understanding.
Thank you girls.

My wife received excellent, prompt and kind treatment at the NVH Minor Injuries Dept. last week, for which many thanks Charge Nurse and colleagues.
Isn’t it ironic, though, that the official website ‘Contact Us’ page only seems to have slot for ‘Complaints’ when what I was looking for was a portal to say Thank You!
No matter, thanks for a job well done!

Was in today for kidney stone getting lasered and stent removal .hospital spotless and staff amazing .Nurse Clare Dempsey and dr Seaward were great 10 out of 10 in every way.

Amazing care and attention in gynae day surgery today absolutely everyone in the whole team give outstanding care and support, I was made to feel comfortable and treated with upmost dignity! Thank you

I would recommend the medical staff, all where really good and so helpful with mum, I new she was safe, the only down point wzs the psycho, to say 1hour in 8weeks was so shocking, deplorable, mum would have been released quicker if the proper psyio reshame was in place, now we are playing catch up, and the carers are picking up the slack from so called paid non existant pysio which has put even more strain on the family, having 2 pay private for this service, shicking

Didnae understand why ah got sent here. Anyway, I got the U to Bridge St & checked the buses. Either just missed one or wan due!? Waited for a no. 4 bus....rolled a fag...& waited .... & had a roll - up & waited. Then the bus came....canny see the number....ocht it's a 3. The no.4 bus was running 47 mins. late, according to someone that had also been waiting for it. The joys of public transport!
The staff were excellent. I was having a pre - op assessment for D.C.I.S. ( calcifrication in my right breast). I was due to have my op.@ Gartnavel General hospital, which is why I was confused about being sent to the Victoria hospital. Shortages of staff, I presumed. My op. had also been brought forward by a week.
The nurse @ reception, the staff nurse and the nurse that gave me my E.C.G. all
showed professionalism.
(sorry that I cannae remember the names, but I was up to
" high doh", of course!)
The nurse that carried out the assessment was very thorough & compassionate.
We're so fortunate to have our NHS. They're all stars in my book. Much gratitude to you.

Probably time to get over the 1 parent in with their infant rule especially out of hours. Generally found care here to be painless and efficient.

To be honest I don't like hospitals. I have been here 2 days in a row helping a relative and it's quite a clean, modern hospital, with excellent, friendly staff, if you are sick then sorry, but this would not be the worst place to come. The parking is good and free but a little difficult to find with a challenging crossroads at Battlefield Road.

Colonoscopy department tests today
The staff were first class showed lots of compassion and made me feel soo relaxed that they gave me permission to let rip with confidence, to let the gas build up in my tum out
The other end.
Thanks for being so kind
Regards Andy Cameron

Wonderful hospital from the moment you entered the hospital
Untill you leave you are highly looked after everyone thanks to all that work at the Victoria hospital. God bless you all. Amazing hospital...

Staff is kind, clean hospital.
Punctuality is not their strong suit . Waited an hour for a scheduled appointment at 10am.
While the doctor had only 2 patient in the waiting room he was either late or whatnot🤔.
They have all kind of wards ready for service so it is at least efficient, don’t know about punctuality there. Hopefully never have to test it😎

Absolutely perfect experience, I was there for an ultra sound and Colin and Lesley were fabulous.

Ive had to attend the endoscopy Dept of the Victoria hospital Glasgow on 2 consecutive days, I couldn’t have been treated with more respect kindness and professionalism anywhere. The staff were tremendous nurse’s above and beyond and the Drs put your clearly at ease. Thank God we have the NHS and these people work in it
P. K.
Went for an ultrasound. The staff were really friendly. I was in and out within 5 minutes. Very fast.

As Jim Pirie Said,I Was Out In Just Over An Hour And The Nurses And The Doctor Wer Spot On,A 10/10 For Me😷
J. J.
The minor injuries is disgraceful. But the ultrasound team are fantastic 😍 very polite, friendly & courteous I cannot doubt them. Nurses, to technicians all excellent customer service 💝💕🏴

Was with a friend said he would be at least 2 to 3hrs but he was done in just under 2hrs good experience all round

Was very worried about having a Gastroscopy, I am asthmatic and the thought of anything going down my throat causing me to choke or gag terrified me, but the staff were amazing, I was well looked after, given throat spray and sedation and don't remember the procedure at all. I didn't feel sick or dizzy and actually walked home with my mum who came to collect me. The doctor and nurses were so nice. I was given my results with a leaflet and what medication to take. A huge thanks to all the staff at the Endoscopy department.

I'm in gynaecology on the 2nd of December but unknown what's going to happen at my appointment maybe a scan to find out what is happening
A. G.
I had to attend out of hours here. Everyone of the staff were brilliant. Very caring and friendly. Made me feel a lot better even with how bad I felt. They genuinely wanted to help.
A. S.
Have had a couple of annual eye tests since becoming diabetic, staff have always been welcoming and friendly. The building is cheering than the old hospital too, I usually sit with a tea or coffee and a hot roll from the cafe after my appointment.
S. C.
I attended the Day Surgery on Friday 9th July. I was really nervous but the staff were amazing and lovely and put me at ease. If it wasn't for their help and kindness think I would've burst into tears.
Z.
Nice receptionists. Appointments on time and professionally dealt with. ❤️❤️❤️
b. d.
Attended this morning- Dr Lee's bedside manner was impeccable and his care of me first class- suspected kidney infection, examination of prostate - very very professional.
L. R.
I'm first one to praise NHS staff and the great job they do. That said I received excellent care , efficiently and with care and courtesy throughout. On leaving I mistakenly assumed the cafe would be a safe place (re covid) to purchase a treat to take home.
However this was where guidelines were sadly neglected. Lack of face masks and no respect for distancing was very upsetting in a place you would expect everyone to be well versed in guidelines.
g. H.
It's my place of work. Very friendly staff in all departments
R. P.
The minor injuries unit is fantastic. The staff are absolutely lovely. I went early in the morning and was in and out in 40 minutes and that included an xray. Really great experience.
D. O.
100 times better than that Queen Elizabeth hospital ! And staff are brilliant also parking is good too
B. B.
Great location, easily accessible entrance and wheelchair accessible parking, with plenty of space. I unfortunately had to wait 1 and a half hours before being helped when I went to the emergencies section, so quite unhappy about that, but thankfully the good service and kind staff made up for it. Overall good hospital unless you are in a hurry.
G. B.
ENDOSCOPY UNIT Sister Boyd is amazing, she is very empathetic, my test was much less stressful due to her help and information and just plain kindness thank you Sister Boyd you are another reason I love our NHS
R. M.
Health care (fracture clinic) is brilliant but auxiliary staff should introduce themselves to waiting patients and explain what is happening.
A robot ("I, Auxiliary") could call out patient names and lead them without comment to other waiting rooms.
Clinical staff were polite, friendly and competent.
Super experience.
J. G.
The gentleman who was at the desk in minor injuries needs a good shake. Had such an attitude when dealing with customers and even tried to start an argument with someone 20ft from the desk about using his phone. Other than that staff where friendly, helpful and understanding.
A. W.
Excellent attention from the moment I went into day surgery for nerve block, the staff are marvelous and put you at ease immediately, I could not have had better treatment. Thank each and everyone for there help
K. R.
Had to go to the minor injuries unit for my flatmate to get a tick removed (from a cat we are looking after). Very friendly staff and relatively quick waiting time. Thanks for all your great work! :)
V. B.
Had eye trabeculectomy on 13th July. From the time I arrived, I was treated with kindness from staff and doctors. I enjoyed the whole experience. Operation only took 28 minutes, it was amazing! I am so very grateful! Thank you.
J. C. P.

I come from Edinburgh and believe that certain Edinburgh hospitals should look at this hospital to see how it should be done, with friendly and efficient staff who are not afraid to talk to and smile with patients all set in a clean environment, full marks to the New Vic, that's the way to do it ! Well done
E. C.
Clean and tidy still under covid rules
Staff helpful and help with directions, to the appropriate clinic. That you are looking for.
L. A. P.
Really good minor injuries unit. Went in an avacado-de-pitting injury and a very burly nurse kindly stitched my hand back up whilst cracking jokes about how he never has to stitch up anyone for eating cheesy chips.
E. M.
Was sent there by nhs 24, entered through the wrong door and was stuck, walking through an empty building for half an hour. Wish they had receptionists in more than one wing! Was admitted fast and the doctors were competent and friendly!
a. b.
