Had appointment to see a Mr Day
Unfortunately he was running late no fault on his side
It would appear they don't give him enough time between patients Fifteen minutes for each patient is not long enough When he is dealing with patients with a lot of problems
He is a very nice man to deal with and he will listen to what you have to say After all we live with our bodies everyday So he is interested in how you feel and listen I felt for him as he was running about two hours later became he wants to give his patients time and is not in a hurry to get you out the door

Alot of respect 4 NHS, wait times are not their fault. Boris is an actual self serving relentless POS. You know what it is.
Staff friendly and do their best

Seen in ED injuries. Really impressed with the efficient service. Staff very friendly and helpful. Gave professional advice and took the time to make follow-up arrangements that were convenient for me.

The receptionist team are really kind and helpful and I really appreciate the time and effort the doctor took to explain my injuries and his reassurance that it was all muscular.
Overall, a very pleasant experience. The waiting time was rather long but that was because other patients had more serious issues that needed to be attended to more urgently.
We should be grateful for the dedication and effort put in by those who work for the NHS. The impression I got from this experience was one of a sincere desire to help others. Thank you for what you do.

One of the best hospitals in London. I was there 2011. All the staff were so caring. Even now I go
For checking the. Under a difficult time, they are so good. Also the rest of the NHS.

Very good most times apart from 17th August
After l checked in a african/caribbean receptionist called me to get some more details but then told me to take a seat this was at 8:35am l was still sitting there at 11:03am and l then asked another receptionist who said "oh they are waiting for you in ED injuries" the other receptionist hadn't told me this nor did send me there
However Georgina in ED injuries was polite and very cute she is a very nice medical professional

I was incredibly impressed at my experience in St George’s A&E earlier this week. The wait was not too long and I felt that I was taken very seriously. The doctor who saw me, Flora Casey (sp.) was intelligent, professional but at the same time respectful and caring taking time to listen and making sure she did the necessary tests and referral for me. She is a real asset to the hospital and the whole of the NHS.

An awful situation made so much better by the absolutely amazing team of doctors and nurses in the A&E department at St Georges. The team work, professionalism and exceptional care provided was reassuring at a very difficult time - was there with someone who'd suffered substantial petrol burns - their expert skills and swift action coupled with fantastic bedside manner and genuine care made our experience so much better. Wonderful example of the care provided by our NHS. Thank you so much.

They saved the life of my son. They assessed him, treated him quickly because of how quick he was and got him to the intensive care unit as quickly as possible.
The nurses, doctors and play specialist were exceptional. They took care of my son, my wife and myself and I will be forever grateful. When you really need them, they deliver.

St George's A&E is a real mixed bag of heroes saving lives, exhausted staff feeling the pressure, and the diverse population of the boroughs of Wandsworth, Merton and Lambeth who come here to get patched up

Can I just say that I was SUPER impressed with the way I was looked after when I walked in. From the nurses to the doctor's to the scan rooms. I just want to say thank you to all the staff who have dedicated their time to do good at A&E. THANK YOU

Was seen in a and e with a complex fracture. It was very busy and I was seen within the three hours stated. Yes you have to wait but you see amazing staff. I was seen by a nurse X ratyd and then seen by orthopaedic all in a and e .i was seen by the hand surgeon ms umarji the Tuesday morning less than 48 hours and then had day surgery within twenty four hours. Amazing staff. Treated so well by all the staff and continue to be so several weeks later. 🙏👍🏥👨⚕️👩⚕️. Fantastic NHS.

Sudden & unexpected eye disorder, worrying symptoms during a short bussiness trip to London (not being a British citizen). Still, preliminary examination in 10 minutes, and after filling a few forms, being examined by caring doctors & staff. Complete respect for patient rights, even for a foreigner. No charge at all for A & ER examination. Waiting & examination all professional & kind. Released immediately with satisfying, non-dangerous diagnosys. Respect!

Found a wheelchair, took it. Tried to get to A&E with little success, luckily a kind paramedic pushed me for a bit. First nurse I saw was a little rude trying to process me through and made some derogatory comments. Sat in the waiting room, poor view but it was okay. Who would have thought there were so many ill looking people, sad really. As I write, I’m sitting in the radiology department next to a man reading the Sun page 3... The adventure continues!

Don't let the 4 stars trick you. I put 4 stars ONLY and ONLY for the time of waiting which wasn't that bad (3 hours) and for the people who took care of me BEFORE being seeing by the doctor (who was actually a nurse). I was very pleased by the people who work at reception and the nurses that take your information etc. But let me write my story. So on Sunday (2nd of September 2018) my back problem got so worse, that it made my right leg go numb, then I was feeling pins and needles and I freaked out. I always had back problems but this has never happened to me before. So I called 111 and they said that I need to go to the hospital (because it was the only way to be seen by a gp on a Sunday). I waited for 3 hours, which is totally understandable and I was seen by a nurse (senior, so in my mind that meant that I was in good hands). So there goes our dialog:
- How can I help?
- I have pain in the lower side of my back for almost a month now. I've been to the osteopath 3 times, but it doesn't seem to help my condition and for the first time today, my whole right leg went numb.
- But I saw you walking and you seem perfectly healthy. You don't look tired or you don't have difficulty in walking. I've seen people with back problems and you don't seem like one.
I then started questioning myself. Like "Am I imagining things?" so I just commented that if I could not walk then my situation would be more difficult, but I am not at that stage yet. We went to a room in the A&E, wore a robe and after she examined my back, touched it slightly and make me bend forward and to each side of my body, after a couple of comments she asked me if I went through a bad situation in my life. I kind of blinked thinking to myself why is she asking me that and after I hesitated I revealed that my father has passed away a month ago from cancer. Within one minute the diagnosis was made....are you ready??
" It's psychological"
- Excuse me?
- It's psychological. It happens to a lot of people.
- But...I am in pain.
- If you were in pain dear you wouldn't be able to walk or bend. Take ibuprofen and paracetamol and try to relax. You'll be fine.
LONG STORY SHORT, I went to the physiotherapist today.
I've got a slipped disk, the disk was pressing the nerves, my muscles became super tight to try and protect the wounded area and that's why my leg and bum are numb. So I need 8 sessions of physio and lots of exercises to strengthen my core, but based on the nurse's diagnosis it's psychological ....
P.S. I am 100% sure that all of these amazing doctors, nurses and personnel are doing an amazing job at A&E and I truly thank people like them, BUT please PLEASE when it's people that don't have an obvious wound (like a broken leg etc) spend a little bit more time with us. Or if you don't have time guide us "lady you need physio because probably you've got this". I felt really dumb thinking that there is a small chance that my problem was because of my dad's death.

Amazing, as always. Very effective, kind, caring and straight forward with clear diagnosis and options to proceed. X-ray fairly quick and overall was a short visit of under 2 hours.

Service great and caring. Waiting is an issue but that is not down to the staff. I needed to spend c. 5 hours there and the medical side was excellent but a long time in discomfort. The parking charge came to £17.50!!!! That is excessive especially with services becoming more centralised.

The staff are going above and beyond to look after patients considering this difficult times. NHS is one of the best things in the UK as it provides care for all the people

I’d like to thank the excellent ambulance staff and A&E nursing staff for their professionalism during the treatment I received here in August 2019.
It’s only when you become the end-user of the NHS you realise how lucky we are in the UK to have it.

Had to go to A&E after 2 year old had accident. Everyone from security on the door to the nurses and doctors were amazing and the place was spotless.

Without going into detail, we were very well treated and quickly. The staff are very friendly and helpful. You don't always choose to come somewhere like this but it's been the best experience it could have been.

Staff are amazing considering the obvious pressure the system is under. The waiting room could benefit from something for the kids to read / do during the long waits for their parents to be seen.

I broke my arm, wrist and elbow last year. I was triaged, seen by a smiling doctor (despite being at the end of a long shift), X-Rayed and put in a temporary cast all within four hours. Amazing service from the team there - especially as they could clearly do with some more resource to help them with the mamouth volume of people they have to see! Thanks St George's!

Fantastic, caring team. Nurses and doctors were all so understanding, kind and brilliant at their jobs. Thank you!

For the treatment my son received after a serious motor bike accident, he still is receiving treatment due to the severity, but every member of staff introduce themselves and explain things, my son was in severe shock and so was I and my daughter in law they are a great team in A&E
