apparently need a 'covid visitor passport' if you're accompanying a patient. Can't find out how to do that online (website says you need one but not how to get one), so emailed and no reply and also phoned but no support there. Who knows...

I had Surgury here on Thursday. My experience was 10/10, in my humble opinion if people are going to this hospital and rating anything less than 8/10 I think the NHS might be a shock to your system.
Upon arriving I was guided to the self isolation room for a covid test before surgery could commence. In isolation I was handled by staff that were kind, thoughtful, respectful and spoke and cared for me like a human being.
On completion of my COVID test I was taken to my private room and again handled by staff who were just nice people, I was even handed a menu with food options before going into surgery.
Honestly, I can’t fault my experience here, the staff were all accommodating, the nurses very kind and just so helpful and the doctors / consultants were throughly professional. I even received a follow up call today 2 days after leaving to check up on me.
Please if you are in any doubt I dare you to go to Wexham Park Hospital and experience for yourself how your hard earned tax gets wasted on people who don’t care for their patients and treat people like animals.
Thank you very much Lister Hospital

Super efficiency friendly and helpful
They have a branch hospital located in the Shard, which can take all the dr/nurse appointments, scans, blood tests etc. This made my travels much easier as I live closer to london bridge than Chelsea.
The appointments are 80% on time, 20% overran about 30mins, during the COVID period, and we were happy about the service too.

I had the most fantastic experience at The Lister Hospital recently. The team were amazing. especially my nurse who was so kind, attentive and really put my nerves at ease.

The kindest staff ever! I was terrified to face surgery but every single person I met was amazing in reassuring me. I can't thank them enough for all the medical and emotional support. Extremely professional and caring.

I’ve just had ACL reconstruction in my knee through my insurance. The service and care was perfect and accurate. The food amazing, the room was big, clean and totally quiet, with great views facing the park. My surgeon, physiotherapists and the whole team was incredibly professional. They explained each stage of the procedure very calm and nicely. I could describe this place as “5-star hotel with operating theaters”

I did an outpatient procedure there. The admission was quick and easy. Everything went great. However, afterwards the catering team was disorganized. I asked the nurse to bring food shortly after getting to my room after the surgery since it was already well in the afternoon and I was starving, was told it would take 30 min and it took them 90 min to bring it!! I had to call a nurse to inquire about it. They catering later told me they thought it was delivered by one of them when in fact it was not.

Very calming, efficient and caring. Staff friendly, explained procedures clearly, great post surgery lunch too!

Just had knee surgery and the service, nurses, anethetist were all amazing. Catering could have been better as our order was not picked up for ages but otherwise I enjoyed my stay. Nice view of the gardens and the Thames.

Unacceptable wait times!! Have been waiting 4 hours for only starting my infusion. Waited 3 hours for the caterer to pick my lunch order. Waited hours for the Dr to just bring the consent to be signed!! The waiting is still ongoing, no idea how long it will end up! So while writing this review I don't have the infusion started, or lunch served or the consent signed!

Great post operative care from all of the team. Absolutely faultless. The team were proactive with hydration, blood pressure, dressings and pain management. Canula popped out during the night which was handled very calmly. Quiet room and tasty food. Great scheduling and a swift and efficient sign in and discharge once I felt well. A really positive experience at The Lister, thank you. The staff are kind, funny and they really care.

I went to the Lister Hospital in November 2016 to have my wisdom teeth removed by Mr Kerawala. Despite being one of the top surgeons in the country and regularly performing surgery on those with much worse conditions than mine, Mr Kerawala was kind, sympathetic and great. He completely put me at ease.
The Lister Hospital was excellent - the rooms were clean and spacious and the hospital itself was not too busy.
The absolute highlight was that every single member of staff that I came into contact with was so lovely to me! Well done to the Lister!

I do not understand why there are so many poor reviews for Chelsea's Lister Hospital.
I have just been let out after two weeks there in ICU and a ward, having undergone short notice serious surgery at the insistence of their experts.
I'm not what you call a model patient. I get extremely upset by the concept of a hospital stay, being sliced open and having bits pulled out, needles and tubes everywhere.
The doctors and nurses could not have taken better care of me, and continue to do so. They are expert, calm, attentive and lovely to deal with. The porters, consultants, cleaners and hospitality staff were all equally brilliant.
If it wasn't for the Lister team I could very well have died having been repeatedly misdiagnosed by NHS units.
I could not be more impressed and grateful.

My experience at the Lister was seamless. Arranging appointments, admission and post op follow up was arranged swiftly and efficiently. The quality of care while in hospital was exceptional, from the procedure being carried out by a wonderful surgeon to the skilled staff in recovery and on the ward. I left the Lister feeling well cared for in every way.

I cannot thank the hospital workers enough for all their hard work and dedication. I have been to a lot of hospitals and met 50+ ObGyn's but I have never received such a care before. I have suffered from stage 4 endometriosis for 18 years since I was 12. I am so grateful to Mr. Khazali for saving my life and fixed my nerves so I am able to walk again. His team is absolutely wonderful I would recommend him to anyone suffering from endometriosis. I was in room 405 and received an amazing service, kindness, support and care from the 4th floor ward workers. Especially would like to thank Leandri, Nasira, Erea, George, Marie and everyone else who has looked after me during my stay.

A family member had a lump which turned out to be cancer. She had to have an operation and the Lister hospital was chosen, to have it removed (the operation was 2+ years ago). She had the follow up chemo, treatments and consultations at other hospitals.
I felt the hospital was clean, the nurses seemed kind and courteous. The food was good. I recall a nurse, coming in to help my family member, to walk in the hallway after the operation.
I can't coment on the quality for medical treatment, since only another doctor can comment on that. There are many doctors and many different treatements, so it would be unhelpful to other readers.
I do recall the operation being booked in for 7pm, but they still carried out tests and it did not start until 9pm, which I was not too happy, since I was concerend if the Surgeon would be 'tired' from a long day's work....Does it have an impact on outcome?
The location, was good and there were places to walk along the river and to try to take the mind off my family member was who was ill.
There is a small tesco in one of the roads behind the hospital.

Brought my son for an outpatient appointment at The Lister - fabulous experience from everyone! The lovely welcome at the front door, the receptionists, the doctor and the nurses were all so professional. Not at all surprised at the Outstanding rating from CQC. Highly recommend this Hospital.

Was in overnight for foot surgery. Couldn't fault a thing - environment, food, clinical care, attitude and friendliness of staff, promptness, communication and information all excellent. Best hospital I have ever experienced.

I went for a pre op assessment and blood tests etc.
The nurse who saw me was Leandri and she was so helpful, kind, reassuring and talked me through everything. She is the reason I would ask for any further treatment or future procedures to be done at the Lister Hospital.
5 stars for her

Hospital Chelsea Bridge Road, London.

Reputedly one of the best hospitals in London, it is a private hospital owned and operated by an American healthcare company.
Opened originally by Joseph Lister, the surgeon to both Queen Victoria and Edward VII, who highlighted concerns about cleanliness in operating rooms.
The antiseptic Listerine was named after him due to his raising of the awareness of the necessity of eliminating germs.

I hade my IVF treatment here in the end of 2013, best clinic, best doctor and nicest nurses I´ve ever met. Also had a baby daughter after years and years of non successful treatments in other clinics.

Had a total thyroidectomy back in Dec '14 at the Lister. The medical and nursing staff were amazing, caring and professional and the whole experience was faultless. You can't even see the scar!

Amazing hospital and if you have Dr Faris as your surgeon you’ll be in great hands. He performed my surgery which was complicated, but he is an amazing surgeon and it was so successful. Back on my feet in no time! Hey

I have had various consultant appointments and some scans done through the radiology department at The Lister Hospital in Chelsea - very good service/experience - what you would expect from a private hospital.

Top hospital in London. Very expensive but worth it. I wish every hospital in NHS can be like this.

I've had a couple of tests done at this hospital and several follow up appointments. Hospital seems to be clean and offers shorter waiting times if fortunate enough to have insurance.

Excellent. I think some reviewers on here are getting a bit muddled up between the private and NHS hospitals of the same name...
