My when i got shot and had no where else to turn to they saved my life and did it with a first class service, the surgeons were very skillfull and down to earth, the doctor a chap named James was great at his job and had great people skills.
Unfortunately as an inpatient it was bad, the staff disregarded me the whole time because of my age, the staff were also over worked and the ward had broken equipment.
Unfortunately i have to give it 3 stars because my recent trip here ended badly, i was taken in by ambulance and kicked out even though my mobility was bad I later succumbed to my stab wounds collapsed and had a seizure i was then picked up by a police officer and the Air Ambulance who were great chaps.
I also wanted to say a special thank you to the nurse in the A &E she helped me calm down and reminded me that i was there to get paperwork to help me get back on active duty.

Been to A&E twice this month and the staff are absolutely helpful and caring for my newborn for jaundice and 5 years old son with high fever.
They did thorough checkup despite how busy they were. They even care about my feeling as a mom.
Amazing team. highly recommend.

Surprisingly good. UCLH would always be my first choice but was referred here for an ultrasound and the imaging department was impressive. Looked clean and hardly any other people about, so was great!

I visited the hospital with my wife. It was good. The thing which made me upset is one of the lady who works on the pharmacy. She is very rude to the people. She behaves like old fashioned head teacher! I collected the medicine from a different girl who was very nice to me and with others.

I was looked after by the best and kindest nurses whilst my time at A&E and ambulatory care.
Sure, it takes a long time to be discharged, but I was seen almost right away and I felt reassured throughout my stay here.
Very thankful for the staff. They were patient with me as they understood that I have phobia of needles.
I wish all the urgent care centres would be as welcoming as Whittington.

Spent two years going to the chemotherapy unit in the Whittington and couldn't have wished for better care, all the staff there wonderful people and rather than dreading my treatment as I thought I would, I ended up looking forward to seeing them all and if I had my life to live over again I'd be a nurse.

Well what can i say the pressure the NHS have on there hand's at the moment stretches way way pass there ability wow what excellent service they have given us through all this COVID big up to all the nurses and doctors

Overall my experience at the Whittington Hospital has been a good one. I was seen there through the covid outbreak for me it was a breath of fresh air. The staff were excellent from start to finish. The doctors were at their finest. It just felt like they had more time. Generally speaking I found the staff were polite, caring towards me. I would recommend The Whittington Hospital to others.
S. P.
Caring staff and really appreciate the professionalism. My MRI was explained to me and I left the hospital less anxious. Thank you.

I recently fractured my shoulder and had to have surgery to repair it.
On the whole, my care from a&e, fracture clinic, and the ward was excellent and the staff very kind. The only difficulties I had were having to chase up appt with the fracture clinic and having to go round the houses to do so. When ringing to chase up there are often no answers or 'mailbox is full' replies. Maybe email addresses would be useful?

I would like to thank Alex the Acupuncturist at The Whittington. He is a highly skilled professional, with empathy of my condition. He has been a massive support during a difficult time and the acupuncture has supported the medical treatment that I am receiving. I cannot recommend Alex and acupuncture at the Whittington enough. Thank you so much.

I had the pleasure of having a colonoscopy at the Whittington Hospital yesterday. . I know the whole procedure is never a pleasure but the treatment I received was first class and I felt very safe and confident in their hands. It was a 'challenging colonoscopy' but the endoscopist and nurses were brilliant. I'd like to thank Jacqueline, Paul, George, Krystina and especially Eirini who held my hand throughout. Thank you all for being so kind and looking after me.
M. H.
Been to this hospital twice and had excellent service both time's.
Been waiting to see somebody about my voice picked this hospital as they have a voice service there.
Saw consultant today who said I needed to come as a day case as there was something on my vocal chold, when he put a camera up my nose.
M. D.
Unbelievable service. Memanatu Kamara provided exceptional service. Way above and beyond. Turned an awful day around and provided memorable help. Sierra Leone should be proud of this daughter. Michael Rafferty also starred. Sierra Leone or possibly Ireland should be proud to call him one of their own. You read a lot of negativity about the NHS. Aneurin Bevan had people of this quality in mind when he initiated the NHS. Great job by all staff at this hospital who turned a nightmare scenario into a rewarding one. Thank you from the bottom of mine and my mother's heart.
T. C.
Took fantastic care of my daughter when taken to a and e and then admitted

Came into A&E this morning - Spent all day there as a patient with mental health difficulties for pain and other symptoms, was taken seriously and the nurses, doctors. phlembotomists, and sonographers treated me with so much dignity and respect I cried. Thank you for giving me a diagnosis that explains my pain and taking so much time to be throughout

Imaging department-worst ever-do not go there!!!
Was booked for an induction on Sat 24/7/21as apparently the ward was supposed to be empty.
Slept only 5hrs, 9months pregnant to attend for 9am appt which was dragged till 3pm!(so why was I given a 9am appt then?!!!),only to find the ward full and short staffed....
Was given hormones to start induction and the baby ended in distress and emergency c -section....that I never ever wanted....
Not to mention that my skin has been burnt with something during the operation....
Please do your research in advance,as I did mine after and found out that those inductions almost always lead to c-section!!!!The staff at the labour ward have a lovely attitude and are lovely, but was told today I am staying here (1day after c-section) only because of the baby!-Provided that I am in agonising pain, can't walk and have been having even night follow up checks. And was told that my husband has to leave although I am highly dependent on him because of this ridiculous c-section that made me like a disabled person!
We found out that staff give mixed messages and don't really know what they are doing....
Still waiting for post operative instructions that were supposed to be given to me yesterday..
Some midwifes(minority)are lovely, moat midwifes do not do their job properly, kust waiting for the next shift to come....
I was told that
This maternity department is small and therefore full. Not to talk about scan intervals-rubbish....
At my discharge midwife Sumaya messed around the whole day, waiting for the night shift&I wasn't discharged till 11pm!
Only to read in my notes ridiculousness that I have self discharged myself.Apart from this, there were other discrepancies and untrue statements.
Outpatients dept 4th floor for children is also having their blues....was waiting for a call with the blood test results for my baby-no one ever called me,untill I started calling them...
Last time I gave birth at Northmid hospital and highly recommend it....
Avoid Whittington....

The only thing I can say thanks for all the nurses and doctors who looks after me that day . The wettington staff is the best ever , smile and professional
Wich a nice experience
Thanks 🙏

We went to the eye clinic. The main receptionist was very helpful, the eye clinic receptionist was very polite too, but too long a queue.
The main entrance is beginning to look more like a market though.
A. I.
We had babies 2 and 3 delivered here, both births were natural and beautiful.
Words cannot express our family's gratitude to the maternity department at Whittington Hospital.
Their level of care and compassion is second to none. There are very many nurses, midwives, doctors and cleaners that we owe our thanks to.
If you are a worrisome dad/mum (it's our job to worry!), then let us reassure you with years of experience attending the maternity departments here and elsewhere, the team at Whittington are brilliant.
Be patient if the staff seem busy at times and trust in their expertise.
Many thanks

Good 👍 place great atmosphere COVID-19 friendly place family 👪 friendly area 😀 👍 😊 😎 👌

I can't say enough thanks to the Consultant Mr. Omar Haddo and the specialist who performed my operation, Mr. Alex Mulligan
Consultants Trauma and Orthopaedics.
I also want to send my gratitude to the A&E department of Whittington Hospital, the Nurses, and all other doctors participants in recovering my HEALTH.
Thanks, be happy, be healthy, and successful in all your life.

I had to go to the a&e today due to accidentally cutting my hand with glass and the bleeding not stopping. I was prepared to wait for hours to be attended but instead was called in quickly. Everything worked amazingly, the x ray was quick and the staff especially were extremely friendly, helpful and positive. They really cared about the patients and the staff seemed extremely supportive of each other. So thankful for the work you do, especially during these pandemic times. Thank you!
V. C.
Very good and nice staff . The best A&E service in London that I have delt with .
T. G.
My wife gave birth in the labour ward and we then had a brief stay in the birth center. The midwives and doctors were absolutely fantastic, handling challenges during the labour brilliantly while continuing to communicate to us clearly what was going on. The support from the midwives at the birth center was brilliant too, helping with some of the initial challenges, and always happy to help with our questions and concerns - we felt really supported and listened to, and got some great advice which has set us in good stead.

Attended EPU following a scare - the staff were fantastic. Yvonne was very reassuring and professional. They provided an excellent standard of care despite the pressures the NHS are under
J. H.
Staff, care etc given to patients is amazing, only problem which l am going to complain about is the temperature of the-rooms on the Mercer ward, also where the MRI scanners are located, the hallway is so cold and this was November 2020. I was so cold and eventually after 3 days was given an electric heater, the shower room can’t wait to get out, l go in white and come out pink. Changes need to be made as hospitals should be at least 18c - 21c. If l had to come in Dec, Jan, Feb or March l would have to leave the next day. Been here a week and must voice my opinion to The Ward Manager with a complaint form and keep updated with the process or l go to the Islington Gazette. If l was staff l would complain too

Day surgery centre excellent service nurses doctors surgeons porters everybody thanks a million.

Today, I went to Whittington Hospital for a chest x-ray and wanting to say that people were amazing, lovely. All rules about the covid were respected. I also didn't wait at all. Thanks for looking after me, and being there.
W. M.
Great hospital, great care and wonderful staff.
My husband had a Gastric bypass surgery last week - before surgery Nurse Caroline at the Day Treatment Centre was very kind, helpful and friendly which made the waiting time before surgery less daunting.
Dr Sufi and his team that carried out the surgery were very professional and supportive which made my husband and I at ease before going into theatre.
He stayed over night in the Mercers Ward - the nurses and the doctors on the ward were wonderful and caring and they made my husband's stay very comfortable.
This is the first time we used this hospital and our experience was wonderful.
A big thank you to all the nurses, doctors and staff that looked after my husband during his stay.
Well done all of you and keep up the good work.

On this occasion... this hospital was excellent. Staff really informative and really kept me informed of delays and it all went smoothly.
Some area of this hospital really need and immediate upgrades.
M. V.
I came in in an emergency, the staff and doctors in A&E were amazing! I then came back in for a procedure and again all staff at this hospital were so lovely, caring and professional, they looked after me so well. Just as an added extra, it's a beautiful hospital with lots of natural light and was very clean - I couldn't recommend enough.
i. s.
No words to describe how you are made to feel as you walk in..
The receptionists at the imaging department were so helpful especially when I asked them if they could make photocopies of my CT scan and blood test requests form they so willingly obliged as well as giving me a follow up on my status in the system
The hospital is so clean and well organised .
The cafe has a good selection of food.
Special mention to the staff at the imaging department especially to Mr Lakshan who calmed me and took me through the procedure of how contrast would work and he was so empathetic and was with me through the whole scan.
He is a credit to your hospital.
I would also like to highly recommend Ms Luiza Emiri at the Gastroenterology Department who this morning(27.07.20) answered my queries with patience, kindness and calm. She also went above and beyond to actually call me back with a telephone appointment by my doctor.
She is an asset to your hospital and to the NHS.
I highly recommend this hospital and will always try to be seen here as much as possible.
Thank you
H. H.
Majority of the hospital staff I have dealt with at Whittington are friendly, professional and highly observant.
There are the usual things you might find issues with (toilets could be a little cleaner, canteen over priced, and shop food has had issues with being mouldy) and the facilities do seem a little old. But It feels as though the money has been spent well on staffing.
From the maternity staff, to the children's A&E, I have met many doctors and nurses who make me feel really privileged to have access to the NHS.
The staff I rate highly I would personally give 5*, there were just a couple who dealt with my daughter in children's ward who weren't so great and a little rough when checking a drip.
But overall much happier to go to this hospital than other neighbouring ones.
J. B.
A very efficient, friendly hospital. Been here 3 times now, twice for my daughter and once for me. The experience was outstanding. Thank you to all the staff that make this hospital so pleasant.
J. S.
I have had 3 ortho surgeries in last 3 years.my experience each time was 100% positive. Great surgeon and his team. Physio. Nurses and all staff excellent. Was kept pain free and comfortable at all times. This review includes all domestic and porter services. Great hospital. Joanne

May I say thank you and bravo to the most amazing teams:
-the scanning team yesterday Monday the 15th including Ilaha Mammadova, Emma Allan and Maaret Ojalehto who saw an issue straight away, and solved it all with kindness and magnificent efficiency. They took care of it with reinsuring words, gentleness, and yet the job was done in no time. I called them the three Musketeers as they worked very well together. It was a delicate procedure however it was done with care.
-the breast department including Renata who has been so helpful and calm in the last weeks. She was also liaising with Ms Babar who has operated on me last October 2020, and who has called me despite a busy schedule to reinsure me. Ms Babar and her team were simply amazing. She also got this scan organised by Claudette whose energy on the phone put a smile on my face.
And all of this during a pandemic.
I also wrote a review on Google last October:
"Thank you to an amazing team. My very own heroes: from the Brigit ward, to the anesthésist trio, to the surgeons, Ms Babar, to the recovery team. I thank you all for doing an amazing job. I was feeling calmer than before a job interview. I felt looked after, and cared for. Thank you for doing the hardest job on the planet and on top of it, during a pandemic. Forever grateful to you. 🤗❤️"
Thank you is not enough to express my gratitude to all of them.
The NHS is doing an amazing work during an extreme and challenging time.
I just wanted to say thank you and bravo.
M. M.
Amazing staff! I called NHS 111 in the night (around 9pm) and got an appointment in Whittington Hospital 50 min later. Both the adult ambulatory and the emergency services were very skilful, comforting and kind. They did an amazing job!
J. L.
Best hospital I have ever been. People annoy me when they judge the hospital on its age rather than the quality of professionalism I agree to certain extents that this hospital needs a massive refurbishment being the oldest one in the world but more importantly old or new I want the hospital to function properly and at Homerton Hospital whilst the building is newer the hospital is not better in any way shape or form and as a whole the Whittington is much better out of the two. I love all the UCLH hospitals except the Royal free because of its employees but the Kings Cross hospital is my 2 favourite but the Whittington comes first place out of every hospital in England so far and is the highest performing one in the UK and London. I love the Whittington well done UCLH brilliant job unlike Homerton and the royal free prisons.

I had a hip replacement surgery mid February 2019 at Whittington hospital ARCHWAY and honestly all I can say is that everything was perfectly looked after. Staff were amazing except one of the porters who was very unhelpful and rude when he was taking me to doors to go back home. All the rest were extremely good standard.
Well done and thank you to Whittington hospital management and staff.

Awesome doctors and nurses. Really friendly and take the time to explain everything they are doing. My Mum’s catchment area is covered by Barnet Hospital (even though she’s much closer to Whittington). Barnet Hospital is unfortunately incredibly oversubscribed and overcrowded, and so every time we’ve been there with her advanced COPD conditions we’ve waited 5 hours to be seen and not been admitted, even though she’s needed to be, for a number of reasons. The doctors are so overworked they just want to get you out of the way and don’t check all the details properly, and don’t explain why they are prescribing what they are. When I’ve asked I’ve been made to feel as though I’m being a nuisance. This time however we were sent to Whittington and I must say the treatment is incredible. They realised the severity of the situation, rushed her through and are being meticulous in their desire to improve her condition. She’s been kept in for almost two weeks so far, because she needed to be, and they’re not rushing to get her out until they and we are confident she can be. Everyone is friendly and has time to be present and compassionate with us and my Mum really feels looked after. They are an absolute credit to the NHS! Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!

Very hard working, heroic NHS staff. Impressive the amount of time and care they give to patients despite the current climate making the NHS staffs jobs even more incredibly important and more difficult than ever.
H. L.
Ambulatory service: I have been back and fourth to this hospital a lot the last few weeks and the level of care I have received has been wonderful. The checks have been thoroughly done and I have been treated as a person and not a patient.
The staff have kept me in the loop with my results and have been attentive to my needs and symptoms. I am very satisfied with this hospital and I admire the great work these NHS staff provide.
G. S.
Great hospital. The staff are very friendly, keep you informed and although they were clearly very busy they were efficient. I had a very painful kidney stone and they put me on morphine with 30minutes to relieve the pain. Offered my wife and I a cup of tea and biscuit while we were waiting in the Majors section of A&E. And I've never seen Cleaners work so hard. Diagnosis and medication were spot on. Very impressed.
S. R.
The staff is very nice and helpful! I went to the A&E and didn’t have to wait more than an hour! Also, the GP who visited me was super friendly, listened to me carefully and has been able to come up with an effective treatment! I had a great experience and would definitely recommend the Whittington Hospital.
E. G.
Today I had to attend the emergency department at the Whittington hospital
I am so impressed. They saw to me straight away and put me through loads of tests to find the cause of my problem. All the time they were polite, reassuring, professional and friendly.
Such a positive experience!!
Á. U.
I had to go to the A&E last week and I was amazed how professional and human the treatment was. Both doctors and nurses were patient and understanding, I got into examination within an hour (all together spent there three because we were waiting for all the test results), at some point some tea and buscuits were offered to those who have been waiting for long.
The only downside was that it is very crowded, the space itself is too small.
I. K.
I went to A&E on a Saturday afternoon, and although had a longish wait for triage, the rest happened quite quickly after that. I am a patient with complex chronic conditions, and the staff treated me humanely, listened and came up with an effective treatment plan which involved me being 'partly admitted' for a few hours to their Clinical Decision Unit - but I left in late evening, and all staff I encountered from the lovely doctor in my care to the nursing staff, porters and cleaners were all extremely nice. I have been to many A&E's of late, but this has been by far the most positive experience I have had in a long time, and achieved something from it. Well done Whittington!
A. S.
Two experiences at A&E here, one was my sister and the one today was for me. Both times came away with a smile on my face (despite scenarios that put us there) because the staff were so lovely.
Today I was not a case it was necessary to treat immediately so there was a bit of a wait, but that didn't bother me too much as they did everything in their power to help when they did come and talk to me. The nurses and doctors were super friendly and while I was crying my eyes out were being calming and reassuring. Sadly I didn't get to say thank you to the two nurses who spoke to me alongside the doctor who did the procedure. I want to thank them on here if they are reading this! Hopefully I'll stop crying soon! Thank you so much to the doctor and those two nurses. you are awesome.

I had a very good exprience today at Whittington Hospital. When I limped through the hospital entrance, I was met by volunteer, who insisted on taking me to my trauma clinic appointment in a wheelchair, how sweet was that. All the staff I met today were very nice. Keep up the good work Whittington.
D.
The person i spoke to was very kind and professional. I called the hospital to order a replacement part for my medical device which arrived next morning. Top service.
T. B. S.
Always friendly staff, doctors, nurses, midwives. Often long waiting times but they've helped me so much
A. S.
I really can't fault this hospital. Had amazing care giving birth to my son 4 months ago (both labour and after care help feeding etc.... Not rushed out, own room, really friendly staff) and just recently great care at the a&e when he was running a high fever (this despite it being the Christmas period). Well done to everyone working here. Please keep up the great work!
K. A.
I've not felt better cared for (and loved!) in my life since my mum took care of me when ill as a small child and my daughter looked after me after smashing up my arm 12 years ago. Fabulous consultants, doctors and nurses. I couldn't recommend the place enough and I thank them all for my recent expert treatment and considerate care. 😍🤩
C. J.
For both my husband and myself the whittington hospital and the NHS have been life savers. I cant thank them enough. We are so grateful. Especially for the promptness of communication. We are all so lucky to have the NHS and its wonderful staff and helpers. God bless this service and all who work in it.

Can't believe its taken me this long. I had gastro surgery end of October/'16; the ward was full, so they put me in ITU for the night (had some pain issues, as well). The staff (all of them) are fantastic. Very caring, very good at their jobs, and just very pleasant people. Of all the people I saw over a day and a half, most were from elsewhere abroad. It just drives home how essential the NHS is, and how essential immigration is. Could not have asked for better care; it was brilliant. If I could remember all their names, I'd thank them personally, but there are dozens of lovely people I've seen here.
I've gone private; it IS faster, but both the level of care and bedside manners are sorely lacking. Everything is a transaction.
EDIT: O6/2018. Have just had my gallbladder and a loop of intestine removed. Again, the level of care is truly an indictment on how much the NHS cares and how much they're needed. Though very painful, I don't think I'd have gotten through without the absolutely delightful staff; in particular the nurses. Doctors are fab, albeit very busy, of course. Also, love love love the lady at Day Centre reception. It's nice to have someone so positive when you walk through those doors feeling rather nervous. Great experience again, when it could have easily been terrible.
H. R.
I am here for the second pregnancy.
I was very happy to see the same midwife the whole time, the first time ("low risk pregnancy"). And five years on, I think they are still fantastic. Some nurses seem a bit abrupt at blood test etc, but we all know how much pressure NHS is under (not enough staff, not enough funding...) Plenty of care, love and attention.
M. K. S.
Our son was born here and we stayed in the hospital (for further checks) for about a week.
The staff in the ante-natal and maternity units were incredibly kind and helpful. They tended to our every need patiently.
Overall, we had a very good experience.
A. A.
I was a inpatient at this hospital twice I find doctors, nurses and staff's are very friendly and helpful. I am really happy with the treatment I received.
I would like to thanks everyone who doing so hard work.
D. M.
Cannot fault their hospital and it's staff could not have been more helpful and caring 5 star
z. m.
Our young son was brought into A&E with a broken leg. The ambulance had called ahead and there was a team of 12 staff waiting for him on arrival. The care was fantastic. He was in agony and was handled with great compassionate. As parents we were kept informed at all stages, which was reassuring.
He was later transferred to a children's ward where he stayed for a week. Again the care was fantastic - from the paediatric to orthopaedic doctors and consultants, anaesthetists and pain management teams, nursing staff, play centre workers, physio and the porters. Thank god for the NHS - the Whittington is a shining example in our opinion.
E. A. g.
I am not a regular attendee but Whittington is a brilliant hospital. Joined up service with enthusiastic and welcoming staff. Even with an apparent shortage of support staff they deliver a first class and caring service
My wife and I marched to save the old maternity department a few years ago and even at plus 75 years of age we will certainly march again to support Whittington
A. H.
Been going to this hospital for yrs & I've suffered with some very serious life threatening illness from the age off 16 up until now which is still on going- I'm 39 now. I've had of cause my fair share of problems there but as I'm older now & i seem more calm this happens a lot less. Great treatment but as we all no Dr's aren't magicians and they can't suddenly solve everything so you yourself getting a bit of background knowledge on your illness will help.
M. H.
Really good service from the hospital and the staff in general. Stay in Coyle ward 3 times for a period over 4 days each time , not ideal but the nurse there worked very hard and are doing their best.
I have seen Obstetrician , gastro team who are all very professional and very attentive.
Very grateful for the service and the care !
Can make an effort on the food which is not very healthy.....
a. m.
My Ma j had an appointment today, she said she had a very positive experience with this hospital. Staff very helpful and friendly and facilities were clean and spacious. Felt looked after and would highly recommend.
H. D.
I have been in and out of here as an outpatient over the last few months. Recently a visitor to the day surgery department.
It’s easy to knock the NHS and yes things don’t always go smoothly or to the time lines agreed. You have to go with the flow and understand that there maybe someone out there who’s need is greater than yours at any given time. The system is at breaking point but that’s not the fault of the staff doing their best.
The service here hasn’t always been the slickest but the staff are the friendliest bunch and professional beyond belief. Taking their time to explain things, listen to any concerns and ultimately treat you with a smile, dignity and professionalism.
A huge thanks to everyone involved in my care.
H. I.
I would like to commend the staff within the children’s A & E department where my 9 month old was just seen - initially went to North Midd as it’s nearer - but left within 5 mins due to waiting times and lack of attentive staff... Whittington were amazing from triage to seeing the lovely doctor who checked over our son throughly ! He was so caring and polite - thank you Whittington
J. P.
Thank you to the professionals who looked after me yesterday around 1-7pm, particularly Rachel, Grigorios, the student nurse Tigris, and the person who made sure I got something to eat before I moved wards!! Thank you so much for your kindness and attentiveness ❤️
B. K.
I attended the ED department Friday, 28th June with a painful right foot. Nurse Practitioner Rudy examined me and treated me. He was absolutely excellent. He was professional, courteous and friendly. He is an asset to the Whittington Hospital. Fantastic Nurse Practitioner.

went in one a Sunday night at 10:30pm as my brother was having a serious asthma attack. The nurses and doctor we eventually saw were helpful and knowledgeble. However, the receptionists were ignorant and rude. Really disappointed that the two people behind reception were sat talking about their contents insurance, whilst we stood waiting to be seen. The conversation carried on for 2 minutes whilst we waited to be seen by the receptionist, who then looked directly at us, then resumed the conversation for a further minute. Disappointing that people on the front desk are undermining the hard work and effort the doctors and nurses working those shifts put in
J. R.
An excellent district hospital in a demanding location. No parking and some aged buildings (as well as some new ones) but a positive atmosphere. Most staff and patients I've met seem to prefer this hospital to others in the general area.
L. E.
I went to the Podiatry clinic in Hornsey for my toe,I was in quite a bit of pain. The lady that I saw was absolutely brilliant.Good communication skills .Really cared about the patient. Reassured me the whole time she was working on my toe. I felt I had know her years...Looking forward in seeing her in the new year....Well done NHS
A. G.
I havr had all my children at this hospital; the staff are friendly; they welcoming you into this hospital and make you feel comfortable around them. They give you the opourtunity to ask question; their quality of care is very good; I will always used this public hospital as it is one of the best so far; very happy with the service they provide me with over the years :)))
M. K.
Absolutley fantastic experience! Whether it was the birth centre for the arrival of our daughter, the midwife team or the paediatric a&e when she was tiny, it has always been as good if not better than it possibly can be considering the circumstances... I always turn to the Whittington with full trust!
j.
So far my limited experience in the out patient clinics have been super, really efficient with times and the staff all seem so friendly and nice, from the front desk to the other various places I have been. I'm hoping and waiting for an operation so will review again then.
N. I.
I would like to say a huge thanks to the Whittington Hospital's ED team. I visited this hospital early this March, after countless health checks from my GPs, both here and abroad. In the last few years I've been coping with dull chest pain, but none of the doctors I've visited previously was able to find the source of this very unpleasant condition. Although Miss Parisa J. and the rest of the team did the usual heart related standard checks, like the ECG, this amazing lady suggested that sometimes acid reflux can cause symptoms I had. After a month of Lansoprazole therapy and some changes in my diet (like no beer, coffee and chocolate), I now have a pain free live. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.
T. W.
rushed to A&E and was seen by very friendly and understanding staff. My only criticism is that there are not enough nurses on the wards, but that's not the hospitals fault. Government need to give them more money.
J. S.
Went to A&E there on Sunday and had a very good experience. Nurses, emergency doctors and ambulance staff are all friendly and warm. Got my treatment and it worked very fast.
A. L.
I have been in the A&E department and the staff and service was amazing.
H. S.
Forget the look and feel, the service here was excellent, initially booked into UCHL for the birth of our first child, UCHL ran out of beds and sent us here. Glad we accepted the transfer. Midwife, doctors and support staff were amazing!
F.
I've been here few times and every time the staff has been very nice and helpful, I felt at ease and reassured. The waiting times can be long, but to be fair I experienced that in every other hospital I've been to.

I had a hip replacement at the beginning of December. Because of a neck problem I also have there was some concern about the first part of the general anaesthetic and I had to have an awake intubation. From the initial meeting with the surgeon, Mr Bartlett, to the day of the operation and the care taken by the anaesthetist, Mr Dunstan, I felt very re-assured. Post op, the staff on Thorogood Ward were excellent as were the physiotherapists, and the follow up visit to my home by the District Nurse was both efficient and skilful. The overall teamwork was wonderful.
The operation went very well and four months on I am walking well with no pain. Many thanks to everyone. I've always known the Whittington was good because of attending the rheumatology dept over many years - and the superb Professor Dacre . My hip replacement experience has only re-enforced and extended this longstanding view.
K. B.
Friendly, professional staff helped me get registered and then get three tests done across 3 floors sorted out all within an hour and 15 mins. Had to use some initiative with the waiting system on the 5tth floor but it was super easy. Thanks NHS and thanks Whittington
J. C.
(With it being virtually impossible to get an appointment at my local GP) A recent visit to A&E showed that the NHS can still provide an effective service despite the crippling cuts and mismanagement from the shambolic government. Dr. Shahid had a patient, reassuring and genuinely caring manner and deserves special praise. Keep doing what you do! Thanks.
D. P.
Staff are incredibly helpful, always ask if you need anything while waiting for/visiting a loved one. This hospital is by far the best I've been to they take very good care of all patients also.
C. C.
Such a good hospital, waiting times are reasonable, they are meeting most of their targets (unlike most NHS hospitals at the moment). The staff are friendly despite being so busy.
L. M.
I've been a patient in the Gastroenterology department since 2009 and I have been very well looked after by friendly and professional staff. The Whittington is a well run hospital which deserves our support and respect. Thank you!
L. P.
Lovely staff - knowing the pressure they're working under, I for one applaud them. These are the real heroes in society, not these brainless celebrities were constantly having rammed down our throats. Long live the NHS!!
J. D.
Always had good experiences, with professional, caring and friendly staff.
A. Y.
Had been here a few times and every time was greeted with friendly and caring staff. They are always trying their best even at the time when the hospital seemed to be understaffed. Great people and facility here.
R. p.
My mother went into hospital on Tuesday 27 December. She was in Casualty, then Mary Seacole South Ward and then transferred to Cavell ward. I cannot thank all the staff enough for the care and kindness given to her and the help, information and understanding I received. My mum is 94 and has advanced Alzheimer's so communication can be problematic but that didn't faze anyone. Thank you to you all - you're marvellous and god bless the NHS! Hope you're listening Theresa!
J. M. D.
Fantastic Emergency (ambulance) services and great staff - thanks to everyone who helped my wife when she was in extreme pain from dislocating her new hip. I wish I could give you all 10 stars.
A. S.
I was admitted with suspected meningitis. The doctor, the nurse and even the non-medical personnel were very supportive. My concerns were taken seriously and I was given a high standard of care. Thank you very much, indeed!
S. B.
My wife gave a birth in this hospital a week ago. Amazing service, amazing staff. Thank you for everything guys. You did very very well. We really appreciate your efforts. May Allah bless you all.
M. P.
I came for blood test and ECG scan on a Thursday morning and I gotta say that my experience was great. Quick cues, super friendly and professional staff and very clean environment.
M. R.
Been here around three years ago last time. A&E staff was good and seen by the doctor quickly.
K. K.
I had emergency c section there and could not have had better experience.
Amazing team of nurses and doctors made this a memorable experience that I will treasure forever.
Thank you !
B. K.
Our first baby was born in this hospital. The midwives and the doctors did a great job, everyone was super nice and helpful. Special thanks to Catalina who helped deliver our baby.
M. O.
Good experience for an English NHS hospital/centre. Staff nice, easy process and all sorted. I went by my own to the gynaecologist and everyone was super friendly and willing to help.
D. M.
When you get discharged from a hospital and you feel that you will genuinely miss it you know you've been treated well. From reception through to consultant they've all been excellent and the building is beautiful.
M. K.
Great service staff are friendly had X-ray done fast and was not long in the hospital
J. C.
Had to go to the urgent care clinic today and both the nurse and the doctor who saw me were excellent, kind and efficient. Could not rate them more highly.
K. B.
Difficult to get through to departments on the phone in my experience. The treatment by the different departments is good and the staff are typically helpful and kind. The wait times can be a bit lengthy, particularly in the pharmacy.
A. M.
Definitely amazing hospital. Great nurses, great comfort, amazing food and experienced doctors. I have been here after my motorcycle accident and they honestly helped me a lot. Thank you all from the heart 😊
A. S.
Had such a great experience in the ER. Friendly helpful staff. Really amazing admirable people. Literally can't big them up enough. Made me feel really relaxed and taken care of.
L. J.
Today was my first time at this hospital. Everyone was kind and patient and quick. I felt like I got great care - I am so very appreciative!!

D. W.
I have had nothing but the best treatment at the Whittington hospital, the staff involved in my care have been faultless. As a member of staff I am proud to be part of such a great team.
n. p.
Lovely hospital, very clean and friendly receptionists / nurses. Sister in law gave birth here, and they were wonderful!
C. L.
Amazing hospital for me. I have had 4 operations here and numerous other treatments and I have always been treated well and had great results.
B. W.
Went as a walk in due to a cut I wanted to make sure wasn't infected. Kathy the ER nurse was great, I was seen, x-rayed in no time on my way.
Great professional facility!
J. W.
Back home after five days @ Magdala Avenue for emergency Laparoscopy.
To everyone involved.
From the ambulance to Victoria Ward ,
You are a special and important group of people.
Thank you very much.
K. K.
The restaurants and eateries in the new entrance wing are interesting as are the stalls selling jewellery handbags. .....oh sorry ...of course this is a hospital. .where friend of mine in an oncology ward was kept awake by staff playing football in empty corridor at night.
C. Y.
For those of you complaining about bad service or long wait times, or a bad pharmacy, you guys clearly haven’t been to North Middlesex Hospital..
Yes, it’s underfunded and understaffed just like every hospital in our country, but the doctors and nurses are doing the best with what they have and have provided me with a world class service..
I honestly think this is one of the best hospitals in London..
C. “. C.
I had been there many times, the staff is competent and friendly and every procedure is very well organised. I have never had to wait more than 15 min. Highly recommended
G. F.
Referred from my local Dr. In and out for an x-ray within 15 min. Brilliant!
B. M.
A largely rebuilt hospital. Good facilities, excellent staff. Volunteer guides help you find your way around. Very pleased with the service I got there.
J. M.
Clean, friendly, and they stick to their appointment times. Very rare to be giving five stars to a medical establishment but from my one visit this place deserves it.
C. D.
First class maternity department. We had a very good experience, as did many of our friends who also had babies at the Whittington.
k. G.
