Very convenient location, the staff were really helpful. Rooms are clean, nicely set up and linen all fresh. Only thing was that the bathroom extractor didn't appear to be working or was extremely underpowered, apart from that, very good stay and I would definitely recommend.

You now have to pay a fiver for the parking but it's still worth it as it's an excellent location for the curry mile and other shops and the parking logging system is easy to use. Rooms are basic but spotlessly clean. Staff are friendly and helpful and although we didn't try the restaurant except for breakfast, the bar is well stocked. Will definitely return.

The rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable, the parking is reasonable, and the price is right. Great for a cheap stay if hopping from another city for a night or two.
V. B.
A cheap basic place to stay, but perfect as just that! Friendly helpful staff, very clean comfortable rooms, and surprisingly quiet even though the hospital is right across the road. The No. 50 bus stops just outside and takes you straight into the city centre, otherwise it's just a 30 minute walk. 10 minutes from the University campus. Complimentary parking, and the buffet breakfast is great value, and was restocked even half an hour before the end of serving time (experiences elsewhere have fallen well short of that!). I stayed with my daughter when she was visiting the uni open day, and if she does come here, I'll be using this hotel as a base when I bring her!

A very comfortable clean and spacious room. Very well priced and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
A. C.
Room was basic but comfortable, no drawers or bedside cabinets to put clothes in, hair and shower gel pump in the shower was empty so it's a good job I had my own. Had to go to reception for a hairdryer, in all the hotels I've stayed in before there has been drawers and a hairdryer in the room.
M. S.
Clean rooms, decent shower, friendly efficient staff, nice hot all you can eat breakfasts. Dinner is basic fare but ok, chips were lukewarm though. Good value overall.
Very unhappy that, despite signs up requesting mask wearing in public areas, very few people and NO STAFF were observing them. That's why it's 4 not 5 stars.
D. R.
Been there lots of times as its close to the hospital. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The all you can eat buffet breakfast is kept topped up and fresh.
The only thing is now you have to pay for the private parking, but at £5 for 24hours, I don't think thats much to complain about.
N. M.
Gentleman at the door (2pm 10.12.21) was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. Room was clean and quiet (for a Friday night!) and had a nice carpark round the back. Really near a Tesco too!
S. U.
Good central place to stay, has own parking, very rare in Manchester at a reasonable price, said it was £5 for 24 hrs but I only paid £2, machine on the way out.
L. J.
Lovely place to stay. Guy on reception really helpful and staff serving breakfast extremely helpful and all looked happy at their job.

Stayed a couple of years ago ,I found this time,it was not as clean as before and could do with an update, carpet see better days but food was good stayed 2 nights breakfast both mornings good and 1 evening meal was spot on
beer and Spirits good staff friendly as before
A. S.
Very good, comfortable room, comfortable bed, king size. Food in restaurant good and very reasonably priced, decent bar, average prices for city centre.

Stayed first time in Manchester travelodge upper brook street, the hotel receptionist dara was so friendly helpful even though it was very busy she would always greet everyone with a smile, nothing was ever too much trouble for her, she was very hard working she is a true asset to travelodge and we will be staying again due to excellent first time experience.
r.
It was as it should be for a travelodge. The staff were helpful and friendly. We were going to the apollo and it was really handy. First travelodge with a bar for me. Lol. Would use again
A. S.
If you're going up north and you need a couple nights stay with a standard clean room decent price and spacious then look no further. Parking on site. Great location.
T. B.
Lovely stay here. Staff very friendly. Room clean, bed comfy. Xx
S. B.
Nice and easy, well kept place to stay. Staff were helpful and friendly. A duvet was only available on request (June/July booking) and there was no fridge in the double room I was in. Our breakfast orders were mixed up a couple times but it was pretty good. Would stay again!
s. T.
Dirty sheet wrinkles , full trash can from previous guest!!
Only one wall socket in a room.
Have parking.
R. S.
Friendly welcome. Secure carpark. Clean room.

Good hotel. We had to move hotels due to covid ( Sturgeon threatened Scots with a fine if they went to Bolton, we booked the stay before she announced the fines) .
We got moved from one to the other quickly and they waved the extra costs for the rooms compared to the other hotel we booked.
The staff on at the time were very welcoming .
We would stay there again.
J. H.
Travelodge so no surprises. Decent car park, just remember to get code for gate to exit. Doable walk to city centre. No luggage storage as a note if this is an important feature for you. Disappointing WiFi charges, why?
S. G.
Good room size, friendly helpful staff, gave one star less because even with paid wifi can connect only 2 devices, in today's time that's awfully bad policy
J. S.
Great location for the hospital and nicce clean rooms
S. A.
Good clean hotel, friendly staff.....enjoyable stay....thanx
O.
My family and I were evacuated in an emergency and needed a place to stay before things were sorted. This place was just what we needed. Affordable price for clean, friendly hospitality. I'll come back again, this time for leisure.
M. I.
sometimes, hotel card doesn't work properly.
D. K.
The staff were all lovely and helpful. However, we did get woken up early in the morning by a big heavy set man going through the corridor kicking everyone's doors. Our TV also didn't work. We went down in the morning to ask if it could be fixed. We were told they would send someone up at 11. However, he didn't arrive until 14:30. He tuned in all the channels (which required a password) and said it was due to people in the past plugging in their own devices. This worked temporarily, but as soon as the tv was turned off and on again the channels could not be accessed again.
R. H.
Very comfortable room and good selection of food.

I booked into this Travelodge as it was opposite the hospital where my daughter was having a baby. The staff in Upper Brook Street could not have been more friendly and helpful. Kevin was outstanding and walked outside with me when I first arrived to show me where the hospital was. Each day he asked about my daughter and the baby and we had great chats. Helga was also fantastic. She really went the extra mile for me, especially when I needed to prolong my stay due to my daughter being in hospital longer than expected. Nothing was too much. Ditto with Darcy and Martin, and not forgetting Danial who was looking after reception and also in charge of bar and kitchen at the same time. He did a fantastic job. The room on the business floor was also incredibly comfortable and beautifully clean. All the people cleaning the rooms were lovely. It was great having space for free parking as well. At an emotional time, the team made my stay totally hassle free. I would highly recommend.
K. T.
Great room on the business floor as very quiet. Much needed after a hectic week. The room had the heating on when I arrived which was much appreciated. The breakfast was average as the sausages are cheap not much options for the price. Overall recommended and I would return. Less the breakfast.
E. H.
Room, breakfast and staff good. Evening meal not so good
S. K.
The free parking here is the real selling point of this hotel, given how close to hospitals and the University it's located.
The rooms were basic, but acceptable. Generally clean, but my room was in need of a good vacuum. Very well heated, and good water pressure in the shower.
My only gripe is that the way the sinks in the bathrooms are designed, means you can't fit a standard 500ml bottle under the tap to fill it with water.
V. D.
Very convenient location with good bus routes. Bar and cafe not open at the moment but the Grafton arms round the corner was. The hotel has good parking facilities. The rooms at the front are quite noisy despite the noise reducing panels which didn't work at all. Nice hotel though with friendly staff. Clean with good covid precautions in place.
C. J.
Room and facilities were all clean. Paid a little extra for the quiet floor and had a great nights sleep. Hotel and bar staff were friendly and accommodating. Great parking and the hotel is within walking distance of the city centre. The bar being open late was a great place to relax and enjoy drinks after a long day exploring the city.
E. M.
Clean , simple comfortable cheap rooms
N. K.
The Travelodge is in a good place not too far from the hospital, just a 5 min walk.
The room was pretty standard but very clean, the most comfiest bed and no drawers for storing but coat hangers for clothes, and the important bit, a kettle for brews 😃
. A small bathroom with a shower..
A very nice young man greeted us on our arrival to the hotel.
He was very informative and offered his help with anything, if we needed it .
Pleasant stay here .
Thankyou
J. R.
Great stay here and would defo stay again but bring kids next time!! Food was delightful and mason was a great help getting me and my wife through the door Sunday morning
A. H.
Excellent clean room. Excellent position near the centre. Local food outlets available nearby. Staff very helpful and friendly especially Kevin who is a credit to Travelodge hotels.
G. F.
Typical Travelodge accommodation but the staff go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Thanks guys.
T. B.
Was ok, clean, comfy, staff are pleasant.
A. L.
Pros: easy to get to. Few places to eat around. Free car park
Cons: staff was too busy. We had ask several times to get an extra blanket. Ceilings are quite thin you can hear people in the room above walking.
OK for one night.
W. L.
No frills and parking which was great. Comfortable sleep.
None of the staff were wearing their masks until they saw me walking past so not really sure what the point of their COVID-19 measures were, but I stayed a couple of weeks ago and I'm still alive so 🤷🏼♀️
M. H.
A modern travel lodge. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Parking is a real bonus here. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a bit disappointing compared to other hotel chains. I was expecting it to be quite noisy as its on a large main road but the sound insulation seemed pretty good.
J. H.
The best hotel staff I've encountered! I booked an elderly relative in as the hospital is across the road and the staff were fantastic. On check in the receptionist was delightful and explained everything. Including all the little things that are sometimes missed.
On departure I was offered a complimentary coffee as I waited for my mother to return from the hospital.
She said it was comfy, clean with polite staff. Well Done!
K. S.
Perfectly reflects the price.
Very nice staff (helpful when you wipe your key card buy putting it next to your phone, watch out for that one).
Good location for easy walk to a venue (can't remember which one it was).
Good parking 👍.
R. E.
Not the best Travelodge I've stayed at. I think it's ready for an update and some attention to detail in the catering department as breakfast is very hit and miss, with remnants (bacon, sausage, egg, mushrooms) usually as dry as cardboard by 8am and orange juice is more like overly diluted squash. The evening catering menu is disappointing too, mainly pizzas and burgers, and the food always takes longer to prepare than they say, 50% more recently. The rooms are very basic, though clean. TVs in the rooms are small and old, so didn't play movies from USB media. If you're staying for just the one night you'll get by, but spare a thought for us poor souls that are here for the week.
D. C. S.
We were pleasantly surprised with our stay. The food was fine and the service was much better than experienced in similar hotels. The room was basic yet spacious and clean.
The free secure parking at the back of the hotel was perfect. The only minor downside was our window was completely blocked by the large exterior sign.
We'll happily stay here again.
L. F.
Stayed here a couple of times. Always found the room very clean as well as including everything we might need. I am yet to try the breakfast here but have had food in the evening which has been nice. It is in a great location for when I have been to see shows at the O2 Apollo which is only about a 10-15 minute walk from here.
N. C.
Super location, very clean, beds great, vety good breakfast, hreat staff
a. b.
Clean and very comfy. What more do you need
C. C.
The room did smell a bit like urine when we first entered, and there was some blood on the skirting board.
Other than that, staff friendly and relaxed, bed was Uber comfy and the bathroom was adequate. We were late for breakfast, but staff encouraged us still to eat as there was loads left and there was no issue that we missed the actual times.
Sad about the things in front of the windows blocking the view however.
Vending machines could have had more Beveridge options as wasn't happy about drinking tap water from the tap.
Other than that, it was a really nice stay for the night.
c. p.
Clean and tidy room, staff were great and the staff member Kevin was really friendly and helpful, location was good. If you are a light sleeper then you might have an issue as you can here people walking around the corridors and rooms. What you pay for was good and did not expect anything more.
M. F.
Nice and clean rooms.
Reception staff and housekeeping team were very polite and professional spent 2 weeks here, due to covid working in nhs.
Just a shame the bar was not open lol
Big thankyou
10/10!!
Highly recommended
C. M.
I had to stay here by myself, as my partner was having a major operation over the road, so it was really handy. The staff were really nice especially Kevin who worked on reception and looked after me. I always find it a bit awkward been alone in a hotel. But felt fine here, then i came back again for another stay.
S. G.
Great staff and its quiet at nights
A. G.
No faults at all, though a hairdryer in the room would be nice (no issues getting one from reception, though I hear they're generally on first come, first served basis). Bed very comfy, room perfectly adequate and functional, overall very reasonable and a short walk from the Academy live venue (was staying over for a gig). Will be back in a heartbeat if I ever stay over again for a gig there.
R. V.
Staff very welcoming and accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable. Great location for the Manchestet Royal Infirmary, other Hospitals and University. Well done!
A. B.
Convenient, clean, very pleasant and helpful reception team. There was an issue with the floor of our room on our arrival and it was sorted within 5mins of the issue neinh raised. I was impressed.....Breakfast buffet needs to be supervised more. Though utensils were provided on numerous occasions guest were observed using their hands instead, which for me is very unhygienic. All in all I would stay there again.
M. L.
Rooms good size for price. Breakfast variety generous and generally good. Very good noise insulation. Staff all very friendly and helpful. A short bus ride or 30m walk to city centre. WiFi good but limited to two devices, and not included in room price.
L. F.
Friendly polite service. Room spotless and reasonably comfortable. Bed fantastic but only one chair and uncomfortable so had to watch TV in bed and no support for head. No major issue as only watched to chill before sleep. Breakfast lovely with good choice. The only thing stopping a 5star excellent night was evening food. All choices were cheese or spicy and because I have "issues" with my bowel I cannot eat these. Eventually had the pie and although really tasty very rich too.
M. S. A.
Customer service was excellent but the room was dingy.
M.
Have been visiting this hotel on New Years Eve as most other places were either booked out or simply ways overpriced - this one was still having a fair rate. Rooms were clean and spacious - the only thing which I missed was a safe - especially in a room on the business floor.
Unfortunately early check-in is not officially a bookable option hence if you arrive before 3 pm you will probably have to wait. Wifi speed is okay but I'd rather recommend getting a local sim card.
E. C.
It is quite good. The room was quite big. The breakfast was very flavourless. Due to the fact that it Is next to a hospital sirens my sleep was a bit restless. I wouldn't stay there for more than 1 day. It over all was a decent place to stay.
M. G.
Good hotel only gripe five pounds to park
A.
Reasonably priced room on the 5th floor. As usual with Travelodge, everything was clean and well-presented, check-in and out was easy. There's also gated parking which is a huge bonus. Check-out is 12 noon but you can remain parked until 2pm.
Would have liked a hairdryer!
It was very warm on the top floor. Even with the heating completely off and a window open (it was nearing 0 outside). If you prefer a cooler clime, ask for a room on a lower floor where it might be cooler (so say thermodynamics).
G. Y.
Staff were very welcoming and friendly, room was clean on arrival. We pre booked the breakfast which was a buffet style but with a good range of things to eat and were encouraged to eat as much as we wanted. We were going to a gig at O2 Apollo which was minutes away from hotel.
D. F.
Basic as expected but clean and tidy with friendly staff. Good quality shower although it does end up flooding the bathroom due to design of shower cubicle basin and shower curtain. Also the hotel was uncomfortably warm and only had a fan to try and cool the room down.
B.
I had a great 2 night stay here in May, the room was basic but had all the necessities and was good value for money. Lukas and Helga were very helpful in sorting out a couple of issues I had. Only down side for me was the heat of the room (it was a heatwave at the time to be fair) and breakfast is overpriced in my view. Would/will be stopping again!
I. S.
This is one of the best Travelodge hotels we have stayed in for the second time. It is cheaper than others in the country and rooms are generally larger, cleaner and more modern. The availability of parking spaces is one of the main KSPs.
Z. G.
Accessible and easy to find, the hotel is straightforward to get to and from the city centre on foot, by bus or cab. The welcome was warm, but unfortunately the room was even warmer as the previous guest had left the heater on max and the window only opened about 5cm. Breakfast was OK. Overall, a pretty good stay
D. T.
I booked this hotel based on its proximity to the hospital. The hospital is a simple walk of less than 5 minutes. It couldn't be closer. The room was basic, as expected, but it was clean and did supply a kettle with some coffee and tea. Great room rates, really friendly and helpful staff. Not much else in the immediate area of the hotel, but if you are looking to stay near the hospital this hotel gets my vote every time.
g. h.
We stayed here for our daughters graduation and the staff especially Anna couldn't have done more for us. They went the extra mile from help with parking to ensuring we had quiet rooms. We would definitely stay again and would highly recommend this Travelodge.
R. C.
Great staff - very helpful. Rooms were adequate for what I needed and parking was a bonus as close to the city. The inclusive breakfast could be of a greater quality and variety but I guess you get what you pay for
S. G.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms basic, ok for short stay. Beds not that comfortable. Breakfasts foul. Cheapest sausages and salty beans. Reconstituted egg. Vegan sausages like sawdust.
H. R.
The staff absolutely make this hotel, they are all so friendly and welcoming. Greeted by Kevin and Helga at reception who made us so welcome right from the moment we walked in and chatted to us, telling jokes and generally just being super friendly.
Location is great for Apollo and Academy and the hospital but about 30 min walk from Piccadilly station.
l. b.
Had a lovely stay for the 5th time here, the room is clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had fantastic service from Kevin who is very friendly and sorted out a problem with our hand wash container, total asset to the company :) the breakfast was fantastic, very happy and will be returning :)
T. T. U. L.
Decent hotel. Clean, quiet, good location.
Breakfast good....they ran out of bacon when I went up...so 4/5. Lol.
Happy hour was good, had a few pre gig drinks with my friends.
L. F.
Great staff, warm welcome from all. Staff were great at recommending places nearby. Rooms were very clean, comfortable and quiet. Well located. Easy walk from town centre or a cheap taxi ride from everything. The best Korean restaurant, Seoul Kimchi, is just a very short walk away. Hotel bar prices and service was fantastic. Breakfast was excellent. Would most definitely recommend.
K. C.
Rooms clean, nice bathroom, single pull out beds the springs were coming out kids couldn't sleep, had to ask for more duvets to put on top of mattress so the springs doesn't go into their back. The double bed was fine, went down for breakfast in the morning waiting 45mins for scrambled eggs to come by then we all had finished our sausage beans and hash browns.
M. W.
Friendly staff, cosy and clean room, food was basic but tasty. Loved the Apple crumble pie and custard. Stayed with my ten year old who had a hospital appointment, staff were lovely, he had a wonderful stay.
J. R.
Booked room in advance, in our room within 5 mins of being in the building, no messing around.
Room was very clean and spacious, and the bed was comfortable. Cant complain for a cheap night
R. P.
Stayed here to attend my graduation - by far the best location with respect to the university, and best value for money. Staff were friendly and rooms are spacious and clean. Bathroom is a decent size too.
S. S.
Great location for the University with secure free on-site parking. Rooms are modern and reasonable spacious, although ensuite bathroom only has a ¾ sized bath with a shower above. Friendly staff with 24hr manned reception. Has a restaurant in the hotel which provides a wide range of food and also served breakfasts.
M. S. I.
Excellent location. Short taxi journey to the famous Curry Mile of Manchester on Wilmslow Road.
H. Q.
I booked a room for my in-laws who were visiting from Canada. The room was clean and spacious but the soap dispenser was empty. The receptionist asked for a booking confirmation so I have to dig in my emails to find it. They usually only ask for my surname!
Update 1: Although my in-laws left the room at 10:30 with the ‘Make up my room’ sign hanged on the door, they came back evening to find it untouched. The receptionist claimed that there was no sign on the door!!!!
Update 2: I phoned the hotel and spoke to Sarah who has sorted out the issue and offered a complimentary breakfast.
T. C.
Free parking and easily walking distance from city center if you don't mind a 1.5 mile walk. Staff were friendly however i only give the hotel 3 stars as most of the windows have a covering bolted to the outside wall to stop people looking out. I suspect local residents complained people in the hotel would be looking into their windows so the hotel had to put these on in order to achieve planning permission. Other than this the room is very clean and nice enough and i recommend this hotel.
J. D.
Great location for Manchester Royal Infirmary directly across the road, Travelodge located on a main road so easy access to different areas of Manchester, reasonable taxis rates see pics ( I travelled in January 19 so may have changed) Travelodge was really quiet at night so sleep wasn't disrupted by noisy quests, staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms had tea and coffee etc and were lovely and clean. Would have been nice to have a set of drawers for longer staying guests.
j. f.
Room was clean and had all the necessities. Staff were friendly and informative and the place was easy to get around. Location was ok with plenty of buses very close if needed.

Checked out this morning after a fabulous weekend in Manchester.
On arrival Kevin was lovely and accommodating to our change request, the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, the breakfast was worth the money and overall the hotel was very clean. It's clear to see all the staff work very hard in this hotel.
The free secure car park was also a bonus as previous hotel stays I've had to park away from the hotel (not a travelodge).
Thank you for a lovely stay, will definitely use this hotel again for my weekends in Manchester. (Not too far from city centre either)
M. B.
Visiting as an overnight stay before a training event in the area. Very clean and smart rooms, looks like new. Was concerned about possible noise but I slept like a log. The beds are firm and comfortable to my taste with lovely turned out linen.
When travelling here by car make sure that your navigation takes you to the front of the building as the private car park is one wayway, the exit being to the rear street. Plenty of spaces there too as it is partly under the complex, oh and it is free for those staying.
The city centre is about a 20 minute walk, and plenty of local places to grab a bite or grab a few groceries.
c. T.
Clean, helpful team, well organised. Very handy for visiting area, has own secure carpark. Plenty of food destinations nearby.
E. H.
Stayed with my boyfriend for one night for the Trailer Park Boys gig. Staff were very helpful. Especially Marcus who kindly went out of his way to show us how to work the shower! Only complaint I have is that I was woken up by the cleaners vacuuming which can't be helped. Very clean, very welcoming.
t. b.
This Travelodge in particular has a wonderful feel to it. I know that it's down to the very welcoming and friendly staff. We want to say a special thanks to Lukas who was on duty today, his customer services and caring nature is exactly what we needed after we realised we had book a double room and not a family room for 4. This of course after driving 4 hours was worrying ! Lucas gave us a caring voice and spent some time to scan the rooms to look for any that may not be in use. He was able to transfer us to have the family room we needed to have for the night. We understood that had there not been any rooms free there wasn't much they could do to help us . Thanks to Lukas for giving us some extra time we were sorted and able to enjoy our stay. Because of this experience we will be using Travelodge again and again knowing that they will always help if they are able to.

Friendly check in staff-Kevin. Room clean and we'll stocked. Only negative was, we were on 3rd floor and room above us obviously had a child in, who was aloud to run around til midnight, really annoying and disturbed us going to sleep.
M. W.
Hotel was ok, there was not a big car park so if you can book a place. Outside tbe main town is may need to catch a bus, the rooms were ok but could do with new carpets only stayed there 2 nights so was not too bad.
A.
Well located with parking facilities. 5 minutes walk from Manchester Children's Hospital and a ten minute taxi ride into the centre. Rooms all clean and newly decorated. Breakfast is self service but is of a decent quality. Efficient check in and bar service.
A. C.
I was pleasantly surprised at how good this was. The room was really comfortable and pleasant. The staff were fantastic and the secure free parking was a massive bonus. Used this as it was close to Daisy Bank Halls and would definitely stay again

Excellent value.

The staff at this Travelodge are exceptional. Service was speedy and delivered with a smile. Location is perfect for the Etihad. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend here or to come back.

Really friendly welcome from staff upon arrival. Excellent value for money and great location just a couple of miles outside the city centre. Free parking is the icing on the cake!
S. P.
Overall pretty good for the price but kept having to wake roommates up because my key card didn't work. This didn't bother us that much but rather than apologise the staff in morning kept trying to shift the blame to me. Blaming my phone or electronic devices. Would stay again but please don't have any big expectations about their service. Fri 16th june 2018.
C. M.
Last minute booking. Following our son's emergency admission To Manchester Royal Infirmary. Ideal location. Lovely staff who seemed genuinely concerned for our familes welfare. Would recommend to other families in same situation. Nice rooms. Very clean.
***Would be good if the company could offer subsidised stays to worried parents/relatives needing to stay over night. A simple scheme between MRI and Travel lodge would be easy to set up with some form of proof of hospital admissions.
Little bit of corporate social responsibility? People before profits?
R. H.
Have been staying 2 night at the hotel for the past 4 weeks and I have been happy every time. Friendly staff are always glad to help.
Breakfast in the morning is good. Lots of selection and you can have as much as you can.
J. M.
No major complaints. The bed could do with a new mattress. Surprised how quiet it was especially with it being so close to the hospital. Easy access to the city centre.
J. B.
Location was great for me as it is very close to the university and acade my music venues. Room was clean and tidy and had everything you would expect from a travelodge. Breakfast was good with a wide selection and was all you can eat self serve.
S. E. (.
Cheap, cheerful, close enough to walk into Manchester City Centre or hail a cab outside. Right across from MRI. Has car park. Check in can sometimes be hectic, so don’t all arrive at once. It has a bar and prices are standard. Rooms are what you come to expect from a Travel lodge. Basic, clean, warm & good a nights sleep. Stayed here after a party night out in town and I would stay again.
E. T. O.
Lovely rooms, beds are big an comfy! However checking in took us 45 minutes and the bar consistently suffered from lack of glasses! perfect location with regular buses to city centre.
C.
It's another Travelodge. The staff we met were fantastic though and this one has parking. I do think that as a company, Travelodge should reconsider charging for wifi. It's really pissing me off now.
A. A.
Very comfortable stay - high quality rooms, convenient location neighbouring hospital and close to University, and friendly staff. There seemed to be loud music playing close by which was annoying towards the late evening, but besides this a pleasant stay.

Great place, staff, and location. Fairly pricey for a Travelodge, but that's Manchester for you. I can't really mark it down for that. Room was clean, car park facility were safe, secure and easy to access, and the staff were polite and attentive. Would stay again for sure.
M. F.
We've stayed here a few times, as it's convenient for both the Apollo and Academy for concerts. It's cheap, clean, the staff are friendly, and they do a good breakfast the next morning!
D. N.
Good location for our concert at the Eithad which was a £6 taxi ride away. Room was immaculate and there appeared to be a reasonable of gated secure parking. Nice bar/restaurant downstairs serving food pretty much around the clock. Would have been 5* but room was very expensive due to concert in town and bar food seemed a bit pricey.
J. P.
Friendly staff, food 24 hours, rooms warm but not overheated. Price gets a bit high when events on in Manchester. We use this hotel when involved in events at the Aquatics Centre. Disability friendly.
J. S.
Hotel was situated in walking distance of Manchester Apollo. Ideal for attending events at the venue. Nice quiet bar. Room was clean and service was good. Would definitely stay here again.
N. H.
Ideal location with car parking which is a bonus. The centre is within walking distance imo even though it's about 20 minutes. Room was ok for what you expect. I wouldn't bother with the evening food though as it was terrible and over priced.
T. O.
Great budget hotel which is really close to University of Manchester.
The prices are really decent and the parking is free!
Unfortunately, you have to pay for Wi-Fi (£3 for 24hours), but apart from that, everything was great.
A. S.
I wouldn't usually write a review for something like a Travelodge. It's your bargain hotel chain with your basic bedroom facilities and you get what you pay for with no surprises. However. The Upper Brook Street hotel is by far one of the best especially, if like me, you are wanting to find a hotel for Manchester Pride.
Every August Bank Holiday hotels all over Manchester charge extortionate amounts to stay in the city. This travelodge however works out at around £100-£120 for two nights. So £60 each (£30 a night) or about £40/£30 if you get a family room for 3/4 people. That's a bargain price for a hotel that is just 10 minutes away or less from Canal St in a taxi.
We used Uber which was never more than £3-£5 to get to the city.
The rooms are a great size and the hotel is only a couple of years old so nice a fresh and they have just updated all the beds to super comfy king size! I loved it.
So Pride goers or those looking for a night out in Manchester, I recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere at the weekend when the hotels in the city centre are not in your budget.
M. B.
We had a great stay here. Our room was clean and spacious. The staff are very friendly. We found that there was plenty of space in the secured car park.
B. D.
Prices are fair, staff courteous and friendly. Room was clean and warm, close to a Tesco express and also not to far from Manchester museum. Secure car park at back
M. D.
Perfect for the Manchester Royal Infirmary where we were visiting. The staff were very friendly and understanding and spent a long time helping us when we were trying to find a room. The rooms were ok and functional. It was the staff that mafe the difference.
J. A.
Reasonable price, value for money. Good location and car parking. Noisy because of main road so can't sleep with window open and rooms very warm.
Main criticism is that it really is time Travodge provided free WiFi.
R. C.
Spot on. Good location for working at the University. Decent breakfast in the morning and comfy bed in a clean room. Also has free secure parking. WiFi is £3 per day (boo!)
m. O.
Very pleasant and helpful staff
Is what it says on the tin
Rooms clean, beds comfortable
Breakfast plentiful and well cooked. Real free range scrambled eggs not egg mixture
S. B.
Great staff on reception especially Sarah who helped us out with a booking problem , housekeeping staff are great too , really well kept place , a good example of a travelodge
S. C.
Stayed here overnight for a gig at the Apollo. Good location from that pov. Don't expect individuality- but it's Travelodge so what else to expect? Clean, no hassle, left after 11am without being kicked out to do check out.
F. M.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Very clean, comfortable rooms. Freshly prepared fruit for breakfast. Could not fault this Travelodge, great value for money 😊
D. S.
I stayed 4 nights. The room was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. The staff is extremly friendly. The only downside is that there is no free WiFi available. Other than that, this hotel is highly recommended.
G. K.
Warm, comfortable and consistent with what I'd expect from the recently improved Travelodge. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially as we had a requirement that became last minute after the booking agent didn't tell them about it.
D. T.
Great value when other hotels were overpriced. Excellent location for the O2 Apollo which is a 10 min walk away. Rooms are basic and small, but are clean and the beds are very comfortable.
E. M.
Great service and comfy room. Staff were so friendly. Parking is included. Great breakfast and easy to hook up to the prepaid Wi-Fi.
L. H. A.
Good for an over nighter, close to local shops(Tesco sainsburys mini mart.) We attended the Manchester Academy 10 min walk.👍
As for room, clean tidy, bit to warm for us, tea coffee tray was very minimal. 1 tea bag 2 coffee 2sugar 2sweetner. And the kettle very cheap! You could smell the plastic after the kettle had boiled, and it tainted the taste in the drink.
Breakfast was hit and miss. Cold plates.. most of food was cold or Luke warm, unless just brought out of kitchen.. and not a lot of tables to sit at if a lot decide to come down at once.
A. L.
It's a Travelodge... The Ryanair of hotels, i.e. no frills. Plenty of secure parking, and location is quite close to the university. Slightly lower score than I'd normally give as we waited for a long time to check in, and it took 3 attempts to get an iron that was in good enough condition to use (which required me to go to reception each time as there is no phone in the rooms); so service was not up to my expectation (which was already a pretty low bar to meet).
K. M.
4th Floor corrider could have done with a good vacuuming. For some reason the window view was obscured by a panel!!!!
Good parking. Adequate room. Friendly staff.
F. L.
Good hotel with free parking, about 20-30 minutes walk to city centre so location was ok. Room was a bit small but we did get a good sleep as there wasn't much noise outside, even though we were on the first floor.
I. L.
Perfect of visiting the city for a couple of nights. Breakfast boxes are basic but nice. Free parking is a bonus
L. F.
Standard Travelodge - good location, free parking, good rooms and friendly efficient staff. Great location for university, Manchester Royal Infirmary and Manchester Academy and more reasonable pricing than sites nearer to the city centre
C. B.
Clean comfortable rooms equipped with all the facilities you need for a short stay. Convenient location for centre of Manchester. Food good and staff very friendly
I. B.
Central location, clean and modern rooms, good employees ..Joane was very friendly, professional and very helpful.👏🏻👍🏻
D. S. -. U. I. S.
Lovely staff, friendly and very helpful
Nice clean place aswell
M. V.
Clean and tidy rooms which I found quiet and relaxing despite the urban area and near by hospital A&E. Check-in was quick and efficient, with ample on site parking available. In a convenient location which altogether means we shall look forward to using it again in the future.
N. D.
Cleanest Travel Lodge I've ever stayed in..👍🏻
D. D.
It's £39 a night, so bear that in mind, having said that, we've stayed here a few times now, mainly for concerts ( close to Academy and Apollo) and the staff are always friendly and service great.
A. B.
Never been here before but we enjoyed our stay, its clean, has a private car park, the staff are very helpful and the breakfast spot on.
D. E.
Friendly efficient staff. Did have a problem with my room, but it was sorted out immediately. Good basic but good value for money.
D. N.
Decent comparatively cheap hotel. Bar facilities (though not cheap). Breakfast and evening meals available. A bit too far from city centre for convenience, but handy if visiting O2.
F. O.
Ok hotel 30 min. walk from city center. Room fairly large, clean enough. Some noise from the road. Cooked breakfast not fantastic but ok. Staff very friendly.
S.
Great staff and clean rooms
a. h.
Door handle to bathroom hanging off, stain on carpet ,no wardrobe just hangers, room cold when first walked in had to put wall heater on full and keep on all night just to keep warm in bed apart from that bed comfy and bathroom clean and tidy
C. B.
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Free parking. This was a perfect place to stay for our visit to Manchester. Will return.
C. M.
Nice staff, everything seemed clean and wasn't too busy so able to stay safely during the pandemic
S. I. t.
Go some Blood or some red Sauber on my sheets. Other then that it was ok
K. L.
Great location about 20 minute walk from Piccadily station or there is a no' 50 bus stops right outside from piccadily gardens bus station.
Good breakfast, plenty room in restaurant, spacious rooms, very freindly staff.
We stayed over after attending Bryan Ferry concert at Apollo Manchester,, only a 15 minute walk to venue,, brilliant choice, would definately return..
A. C.
Ideally located for Manchester Apollo (10 mins walk). Good value food, breakfast buffet is spot on. Decent rooms, comfy beds and a good hot shower.
K. P.
Had a triple room. The large double bed is comfortable. The additional 2 beds had very poor support and the springs were almost protruding out from the bed... But it is cheap I guess..
R. L.
Fantastic location for gigs at the uni and academy. Have lost count of the times we've stayed here. Always friendly and helpful
B. F.
Room was fine typical travrlodge there's a bar that does food free parking. And you get a lovely view of some blue plastic don't really know why tho.
B. Š.
Very clean , quite and friendly staff especially security girl she is so sweet.
C. S.
Staff excellent and go out of their way to be helpful. Well done. Kevin is lovely. Breakfast was really nice. Thank you.
T. W.
One Travelodge is much like another, but this one is perfect for access to the city centre (few minutes' walk) with a free (first come first served) car park, so you can leave the car here all day whilst exploring the city.
M. T.
Room was clean and tidy. Great location for what we wanted. The guy on reception was extremely welcoming, helpful and funny too.
A. O.
All you need in one place, good parking space good size beds very comfortable loads of tea and coffee breakfast is worth it!! Tesco and Morrison in walking distance bus stop yards away.
A.
Nice staff, clean and comfy room. Can’t fault
D. R.
As a Travelodge it was as you would expect. Very clean room, decent price and the breakfast was good, maybe a bit overpriced. This hotel was slightly out of the city centre but it was walkable, about 20 minutes. I'd consider staying here again.
S. S.
Very friendly staff. Happy to help. Comfortable, clean room. Good locstion. Ten minute bus ride to town centre.
v. s.
Nice place, clean and tidy. Really confy bed and great shower. Professional staff and nice food. I slept there just one night.
G. M.
Bed was good. Desk chair was uncomfortable but only place to sit. Breakfast was OK except for the eggs
D. S.
Gave 5 stars as it did what a TL should do.
D. D.
Useful location for what we wanted but quite expensive for a basic room. Limited parking was available. Food and drink is available at a usual hotel rate. The place was clean. Staff were average.
D. F.
Great location in Manchester for shopping and entertainment. Not far to walk from 2 train stations. Clean and tidy. Polite and friendly staff. Will be staying again.
S. J.
Good hotel. Value for money. Neat and clean . Good night sleep and comfortable
c. r. (.
Room was tidy but the main problem was when it came to getting something to eat, the staff were more interested in talking than actually serving had to wait around 10-15 minutes before somebody actually came, then they got the order wrong and the fries weren't that warm.
S. s.
Its an 'OK' place to stay for a night's sleep.Clean & tidy with a decently sized car park.Nothing special.Staff were friendly enough.Expensive for what was offered though !
M. L.
Small & compact room, but very clean! Pretty satisfied with the service also! Will definitely come back if I get a chance to visit Manchester again.
Z. R.
Bar is open late, food is good! Drinks are reasonably priced. Rooms are clean and tidy and the staff are friendly
A. F.
Close to our concert venue and half an hour from the station. Comfy clean rooms no pretentious does what it says on the tin
K. K.
Excellent customer service and very clean and comfortable rooms ..... staying a week for work. Great location too ☺️
C. B.
The room wasn't clean, there were sticky marks and patches on the walls where I assume things had been spilled, the duvet had men's head and facial hair over it, and was covered in dust
The worst part was the smell coming through the drains in the shower room, it was enough to make us gag
A. N.
Very nice rooms good car park for a good price and a good location. Bit disappointed in some of the customer service from one member of staff but the others were nice and made up for it.
m. c.
The food was alright...your basic English breakfast and the eating area was neat and tidy. However the staff could be more friendly...the girl at the reception desk was very rude.
A. H.
Everything you can want from a Travelodge. Clean rooms, friendly staff and not too from various places of interest. Opposite from a hospital so occasional sirens can be heard if you are on that side of building.
K. W.
Great price for a major city location, brilliant to get to the Apollo. Hotel is clean, warm and friendly. Great staff and service, very good breakfast.
A. H.
Great service, really helpful. Our Kevin on reception was Brill!
J. I.
There was decent parking space and the room was clean. Only downside, one bath towel between the two of us and no hand towels.
S. R.
Service was great. Room was cheap and contained everything we needed for overnight. Great secure parking.
J. H.
The staff are very friendly, the room is the same standard as any other travelodge, however there is a lot of traffic outside so very noisy all night, and quite a distance from the town centre
M. C.
Staff are always really friendly and helpful, and I've always found it to be quiet inside the hotel. Rooms are always clean.
J. D.
Fabulous staff. Couldn't do enough for you.
D. M.
Great location, very clean! Usual Travelodge WiFi half hour free then £3 for 24 hours. Very limited free parking
S. M.
Clean, comfortable bed. Basic but exactly what we needed and such a reasonable price. Would visit again.
P. E.
Very basic but very clean. Bed was amazing. Shower was tiny. Cooked breakfast ok but not worth £8.20
A.
One of my favourite travelodge to stay in. Close to music venues, nice price, nice staff, clean rooms. Great for budget travelers.
T. H. (. H.
Very good. Easily the best Travelodge I've seen. Great bar/cafe/restaurant. Breakfast surprisingly good.
I. M.
Room was Very clean. Staff were 1st class. Nice breakfast.
D.
It was clean and quiet. Good location and free parking
The carpet wad a bit tired and the view from the window was abysmal
R. K.
Not bad as travel lodges go. Down side is there is a fair few people begging outside the local shops
s. a.
Friendly staff and comfortable clean rooms. The rooms were too warm and there were a lack of plug sockets though.
B. M.
Great value and very friendly and helpful staff. You have to pay for good Wi-Fi and even then you get about 5 mbps which is not great for a paid service.
r. F.
Nice price and nice staff
M. M.
Very good, excellent rooms and all staff were excellent, especially Kevin who went out of his way to explain all details of our stay
k. l.
Clean, comfortable Travelodge Helpful staff specially Anna who was on reception when we got there, very polite and friendly.
P. C.
Got out alive which is always surprising when you visit Manchester. Pretty good stay, easy refund when offered a parents room at the hospital...basic compared to premier inns.
E. T.
Nice but the room we got given was like a sauna to sleep in, so hot in there
M. B.
Always a pleasure to stay in s friendly clean travelodge
J. L.
Good clean room. Food in evening was overcooked and a bit dry. Nice helpful staff.
S. B.
Staff were friendly and accommodating. Room was basic but clean. Food was filling.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were really friendly and helpful I would recommend to any one and its only 10 mins from city centre
W. B.
Nice hotel friendly staff eat all you want breakfast was just the ticket after a night on the town
S.
Kevin in the front desk misunderstood my friend and was really condescending to her. She knows how to open key card door. It's hard to do it when the wrong room number is written on the key.
G. C.
Nice hotel, but I don't think I will have more than 1 night. The free 30min WiFi is not good nowadays.
D.
Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful, great travelodge!

Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, good service, great breakfast, all for a decent price
G. F.

Like all the other travel lodges but friendly staff. The room I stayed in had no outlets anywhere near bed with sucks but ehh.
A. A.
Hygiene not the greatest, I had to disinfectant the room before I was satisfied
p.
Rubbish left under the bed by previous guests so cleanliness is questionable
M. P.
Decent room, clean but the child's bed my daughter had was a really really hard mattress
S. M.
