Reviews of Oxford Eye Hospital
Take my elderly Dad here regularly. A long process but all staff are so efficient and patient with him. Great treatment. Maybe if older patients could have priority it would be good? (100 years old).
How can you fault such a fantastic team. They all go above and beyond the call of duty.
I had a detached retina and didn't get the op until 10:20 at night after waiting all day because they were so so busy and they had unforeseen issues earlier...BUT I GOT IT!!!!.
Without their dedication and planning I would have gone blind in that eye.
I can't thank them enough from my initial consultant Prof Robert MacLaren to the surgeon Mr Imran Yusaf who was also absolutely brilliant....calm....and put you at ease even before the procedure.
These unsung heroes enrich people's lives through their skill and sometimes perhaps don't get the credit due.
Thank you personally to all of the team I met with that day. Very professional.
Very impressed. Called at 2.30pm, was offered an appointment at 3.45pm, had a piece of porcelain tile removed from my eye and was out by 4.30pm.
all staff efficient and felt very well looked after. 5 stars!
I visited this hospital today and I would like to thank the nurse who saw me first today - she was brilliant, checked on me a few times while I was there and kept my husband informed too who was waiting for me with our little one. I should have qsked for her name! The only downside was the 3-hour wait.
Excellent. Really helpful when referred by phone from optician. Thank you so much for the tip about the eye"bag" mask. It's worked really well and the swelling is almost gone.
Was seen In the Emergency Eye Department yesterday and was very impressed with the treatment I received. I was seen very quickly and I would like to thank Panna for all her help with dealing with my eye problem.
Efficient and friendly service, could not fault the place. Nurses and Dr's gave full explanations of treatment and great after care appointments.
I would like to comment on the speed and efficiency of the service I received at the Oxford Eye Hospital yesterday afternoon. At around 10 am my optician in Botley sent copies of pictures of my left eye to the hospital because he feared that there might have been a tear to the retina. Before noon the hospital had contacted me and asked me to attend the hospital as soon as possible. I arrived at 1.15 pm and before 4 pm had received the necessary assessment and laser surgery, which should have dealt with the problem. I really could not have asked for more!

The ophthalmologists who checked me there were absolute professionals. But the doctor called Audrey was amazingly kind and careful! Respect, Audrey!
I have been a patient with the eye clinic for the last 4 years and can't find any fault with either of the staff. Even having injections in my eye was OK. Praise all round
Eye hospital staff very good - knowledge and customer service. Waiting time ok. Pharmacy waiting time was very very long though, on each occassion.
Busy, but efficient. Attended an appointment. Went in on time. All staff I saw were first class. Car park queuing is awful. Allow an hour to find a space!
I have had excellent treatment for my eyes in particular from Mr Jutley , the specialist for Glaucoma. Thank you so much.
Surprisingly seen very quick. Friendly staff
Visited Eye Hospital for recurring issue, they were very helpful, professional and efficient in dealing with my eye problem, from walking in to been seen, diagnosed and collecting prescription within 2 hours, much faster and effective than other facilities i have been seen at, thank you.
Well organised with the amount of people there for different reasons
Excellent doctors, most nurses and technicians are kind, good service. Nothing to complain!
Nurses and doctors all very pleasant and helpful. A long wait but that can't be helped as it was super busy.
Excellent hospital unit. But late.
Really made me feel safe as was well run and clean
Always professional and helpful. A step up from most nhs hospitals
Be prepared for a long wait, regardless of which time your appointment is.
Excellent service, first rate treatment.
Excellent paediatric eye doctors.
Boss English hospital!
