Fitzwilliam hospital is good hospital just out side of city center or south Briton. It has good facility as private hospital and tie up with some insurance providers like Helix or Mayfair. If you have referral the appointment get avaliable moderately. Helpdesk service can be more cooperative.

I have been happy with the input from my consultant - however once being listed for surgery I have been on the wait list over 3 months now and when I try to call the hospital I spend about 40 minutes on hold and have not been able to connect with a single member of staff to enquire about the wait - I work as a healthcare professional myself and my work needs to make arrangements to cover for my sick leave after surgery - but I am unable to get a hold of anyone to even know the wait I have left. Very poor communication. I hope the clinical team are better than the admin services. Very frustrated now… EDIT- thank you for your prompt response. I did try the new number given and though I still had to hold for 30 min My call was finally answered and I have a date for surgery. I do still feel that as a hospital providing both NHS and private care you should try to get more staff to answer calls - it is still a very long wait to get through and not many people have 30 min to have their phone on hold for. Thank you

I had cosmetic surgery at the Fitzwilliam the nursing staff were amazing, they were so friendly and approachable and extremely attentive. I felt comfortable from the moment I arrived and was constantly checked on to make sure I was comfortable and informed on whats happening at all times. My only criticism was the delay in being to obtain the written copy of the formal quotation, I had to chase a few times to get copies of it because I agreed to proceed based on verbal costings I had already undergone the pre-assessment before the quotation was received.

From my initial appointment with Mr Hartley to receiving my treatment I have been treated first class, every member of staff from administration to nurses, catering and housekeeping have been professional. I visited the hospital a few weeks ago and just wanted to say a massive thank you to all the safe, all absolutely amazing! As well as this I thought I left my card holder in the car park, I rang up and the lady who answered the phone (I believe she was called Erin) searched the hospital high and low for it, including going out in the rain. Help like this in such a hard time really does make a difference - thank you.

I was at the Fitzwilliam in April this year as a NHS patient for a single mastectomy due to my cancer returning. I was so simpressed and delighted with every aspect of this hospital. The staff were so very kind and caring. A* nursing care. I was very anxious beforehand, all my anxiety was completely lifted on meeting the Nursing staff. My surgeon was fabulous . The whole experience made having a breast removed so much easier to deal with. I highly recommend this hospital and the staff. Thankyou

Just had an operation to remove a spinal protrusion and I couldn't be more happy with the level of care and professionalism at this hospital. All the staff have been exemplary, from the doctors to the lady who takes my meal orders. I'll be almost sad to leave.

Saw a Rheumatologist Dr Joshi was so welcoming and made me at ease. Discussed everything and finally have the diagnosis means the world over an hour but worth it explained everything in detail enjoyed that part 😊 you to all the staff I saw so friendly and helpful. 100% will recommend and will be back if I need further help. 😉

Although it was a few years back I was in the Fitz, I had both hips replaced as a NHS and as an outpatient. My total experience was second to none, all the staff from receptionists thru to the surgeons treated me with respect and the food was pretty good too 😋

Dr Furrat at this hospital was amazing, I have been struggling with dizziness since past 4 years, seen 3/4 different specialists with no improvement, all other specialists didnt even pay attention to what I was saying about the problem i was having coz of dizziness (the dizziness had compltely destroyed my life as i was always scared when the next episode of dizziness will be) Dr Furrat listened to my problems and he diagnosed it perfectly as pppv and not a standard bppv which others had concluded. I am much better now and Dr Furrat is amazing!!!

Wanted to say a huge thanks to Mr Tsang my surgeon his secretary so helpful and all the wonderful kind staff at the Fitzwilliam total stars.I was looked after so well all my questions answered I had a lovely room with a private loo and TV .was quiet and relaxing.everywhere was so clean Nothing was too much trouble.I was frightened going in for my surgery but was made to feel safe and reassured. I am convinced that staying here at this lovely hospital will aid in my recovery .tbh wouldn't want to go to any other hospital.best ever .totally recommed again huge thank you everyone in this difficult time .ps forgot to say I'm NHS treated no different

Had a spinal fusion op here 20/05/19, all staff from front desk right through to physio was exceptional. care 5* cleanliness 5* staff 5* room 5* food 5* All staff, day and night were great and very caring, tending to every need. couldn't of asked for a better care team. Fortunately I was able to go private. The whole experience was brilliant from the moment I had my refural,my consultant was on the ball he understood my needs, and within 6 days from my consultation i had my pre opps the day before i had my hernia operation. the staff including receptionist staff and to the nursing station were very freindly and very helpful. On the day of my operation , I was greeted by the head nurse and taken to my room made my feel very welcome, followed up by the nurse dealing with pre checks , consultant came to reassure me and the anesthetize explained the prousiduces , the porters were to hand , after the operation, the aftercare was brilliant nurses were also amazing could not fault anything whatsoever the experience was brilliant from start to finish. I had acl reconstruction on my knee about a year ago. I can't thank the staff who helped me enough. They made me feel completely at ease and supported. The surgeon was very knowledgable and did a great job. The nurses and aneasthetist were so kind and supportive. The follow up physio sessions were helpful to my recovery. Thank you all who helped me at the Fitzwilliam hospital.

I have had several operations over some years, at Fitzwilliam hospital. The doctors and staff are amazing. I find they go out of their way to make sure you understand everything. After one operation, my doctor rang me over a bank holiday. Asking was I ok. The best hospital I've been too X

I had to have a colonoscopy proceedure, for which my anxiety was overwhelming. I need to praise the nursing staff that sat with me, listening to a jibbering wreck and kept a vigil on me ensuring i was safe. Incredible staff. Today during my proceedure i have to thank mike who not only reassured me throughout the process, but held my hand throughout. My consultant Mr Bajwa, such a wonderful caring professional. I know i was a challenge, and i cant thank the team enough, from Julie Grey, sadie, Ashley, lorna, mike and Mr Bajwa. Some other hospitals need to take lessons on excellent patient care. You go above and beyond and i cant thank you enough.

Dec 2012 I had a hip replacement by Mr Chowdhury. I found all staff extremely friendly caring and most attentive. I was given good medical advice before and after operation. A year later I was amazed how precise the operation had been, an excellent result. Now out of pain and can walk briskly for 3 to 4 miles (I was advised to take things gently). My heartfelt thanks to Mr Chowdhury and all staff. wishing everyone at Fitzwilliam a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
