I visited Royal Hants Dentistry surgery recent to have a wisdom tooth removed under local, I cannot rave enough about how amazing the nurses and Dentist were. I have never experienced such amazing care and overall the experience was nothing short of incredible. Thank you to all the staff that work so hard there.

I was referred to the RSH on Friday 10th June with chest pain and was seen in the urgent treatment centre in the Fanshawe wing. The care there was exemplary, both quick and efficient. The nurse (Sue) who dealt with me was obviously both well on top of her job and a very caring person. Five stars to the RSH!

What an amazing hospital and easier bus route to get to far better than trying to get to the general hospital.i had an appointment during covid and was so amazed how the staff were so profetional and friendly I was seen before my appointment time and out and home in bitterne on the bus within an hour and a half.cant could them thank you so much x

I recently visited the Minor Injuries / Urgent Treatment centre on a Saturday evening before Christmas after partially dislocating a knee. Within 30 mins, I was triaged by a friendly blond male nurse before waiting for treatment. After this, I met another male nurse called Johnny who decided to check my knee over and assess for any serious damage. He then sent me for a quick x-ray. Johnny was really helpful, as he informed me about the next step to take for my treatment. I've seen him before for another dislocation and he is great.

I was there on a Sunday, so it was quite. No one around to get any information, thankfully my cousin works there, so she helped me out. Lucky me.

I had to have a procedure on my scalp to remove a BCC which was done with great skill. A local anaesthetic stopped any feeling in the area for a few hours. This was sent to a lab., for analysis and waiting for results now that its all been removed. The staff were all pleasant and helpful during this time. Stitches were removed today (I'm glad to say!) and now quitely relieved!

Been to this hospital a few times over the years. Always feel safe and cared for. They diagnosed one condition I have and helped me learn how to manage it. When I had to go to the injury unit the nurses were all lovely, I had to be sent to the general hospital to see the trauma unit and they arranged transport for me to get there which was all free. It can get very busy particularly in the injury unit but it's a hospital so I expect that. Even when it was busy I only waited an hour and the receptionist was also lovely and chirpy. Can be tricky navigating around the hospital as it's not clearly signed at the main entrance, if the information point is open they are always helpful though.

Been to the Royal South Hants today saw Professor Dunlop re my Hips gave me advice and told me I would be placed on the waiting list all staff in The Hospital were very helpful and supportive towards me no problem about going there again 👍

The service inside is efficient and the building is clean but the car parking signage and access is very poor. Confusing layout funnels the driving visitors into the staff only parking and poorly positioned signs don't assist the visitor to find usable spaces. The access to the complex is via a one way traffic system that only compounds any problems. Great internal building in the wrong place.

Good entrance checking and sanitizing. Hospital not over crowded I visited the dental section and found the staff very friendly and helpful. Before procedure start i was fully informed to what was going to happen . Nobody like the dentist however I was made comfortable and I felt safe all the time I was there. Staff very friendly although I didnt get a sticker or a lollipop like the old days! :-)

Clean, well laid out, all members of staff are very helpful and will bend over backwards to help you. There was a queue for the car park so I reccomend either arriving early or take public transport

Always had amazing treatment here. Had a few different appointments over the years from orthopaedics to orthodontic. All the staff have shown the upmost care. I’ve always been seen quickly. It’s clean and easy to find where you need to go. Parking is great and I always get a space although the charges don’t go down as well.

Super friendly and helpful staff and an extra thank you to Paul from the plaster suite who did an amazing plaster cast for me! Everyone friendly and allowing you to chat and forget about the outside world with the current situation! Keep up the good work :)

I visited the walk in Centre this morning with my mum .the service was excellent from the receptionist to the triage n most of all to Dr Twinns he was so very helpful and informative .he answered all the questions we had and I would like to thank him for explaining everything. Had the misfortune to have to come to the dental hub a month ago to have two teeth extracted due to not being able to see my dentist. A big thank you to everyone, from the staff on the door and all the staff who made me feel at ease during these uncertain times. The dental team were excellent and although I lost two teeth they went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and there was also a follow up call afterwards. Thank you once again to all of you working hard to keep us safe.

Just had surgery in the inpatient care centre Very professional and friendly in a very clean efficient environment. Only had the one meal but if it was indicative of the norm then I wish I'd stayed in longer Sincere thanks to all the team - nursing and domestic, including the porters Saw the surgeon in outpatients late September and surgery today - I'd hardly call that a long wait so all in all, well done to the NHS!

I was admitted to day surgery to have cataract surgery today. The staff were absolutely brilliant. Nothing was to much trouble. The unit was clean, modern and comfy. The surgeon was lovely and Daisy the H.C.A was amazing, Kim on the ward you deserve a special mention. You can see how passionate you are . I love you all thank you xx

The post-cancer care I have received here has been really good. Staff members that have dealt with me have been emphatic, professional and informative throughout. If I ever have any concerns the reception staff get me rushed in the next or same day with no aggro or gate keeping issues whatsoever. The consultants that see me are patient and understanding that, as a result of what I had, I might be more anxious than most people when I feel anything might be amiss. Cannot thank you guys in dermatology enough.

Yes there's a wait at the minor injuries unit but there always will be. You see triage quickly and then wait for a bit. But the service is great..and free so don't knock it. Regularly visit the Special Dental Care unit too and have had nothing but superb care for my daughter's teeth for the last 15 years.

Lovely clean hospital, helpful friendly staff, and plenty of signs to guide you in the direction you need to go. Staff are always polite, friendly and helpful which when in a hospital what more can you ask for whether there for yourself or seeing someone else. There is always plenty of parking available and secure aswell so nothing to worry about there. Love this place for a hospital.

I visited the Oral Surgery Dept yesterday to have a rather difficult extraction that my dentist was reluctant to perform. This was my first ever extraction (I'm 58) and was a little nervous. The Surgeon and the young Nurse were amazing and put me completely at ease. The treatment was 100% pain free. The Surgeon was totally professional and caring, but the Nurse deserves special praise because she was telling me all the time what to expect and reassuring me. The Nurse (I wish I got her name) was fantastic. I can't praise the staff highly enough!!

I recently had a hip replacement at South Hants and I cannot praise enough the care and treatment I received. From my first assessment appointment, through the operation to the aftercare, I was met by kindness and efficiency from all the staff. The hospital is spotless. If you have a choice, choose South Hants.

Covid control measures implemented with distance seating after registration at reception counter. Family or friend helper/s will be asked to leave the building. Wheelchairs available with porter assistance from car to hospital departments. Free drinking water dispenser available and costly snack bar dispenser machine in waiting room. High cleaning standard toilets for all requirements. Date 28.11.20.

Day Surgery June 2016 Went in for a steroid injection into the hip for a structurally related issue. I say that because I am generally fit and well and therefore have little experience of being a patient in hospital -so I was quite worried. I shouldn't have been concerned. The injection was administered under theatre conditions which can be intimidating, however I felt I was looked after well from walking in to going out which helped ease my concerns. The whole experience was superb throughout. The staff were professional, organised and efficient. The surgical staff were exactly the right combination of professional but caring and I felt that my comfort and wellbeing were important at all points. The hospital waiting areas, ward and even corridors were very clean. I would certainly have no concerns about using this hospital again for day surgery.

Umbilical hernia operation 1st August 2014. I attended a pre-op assessment in July and, although the appointment was 20 minutes late in starting, I was processed through the health check, nurse, consultant and anaesthetist stages very efficiently. The whole process was completed well within the estimated time. Whilst there I was pleasantly surprised by being given a date for the operation just 18 days later.. The day of the operation couldn't have gone better. Everything was done on time, the surgeon and anaesthetist saw me both before and after the procedure whilst the nursing staff were efficient, caring, informative, courteous and friendly at all times. Well done and thank you to all concerned - brilliant!

Walk in centre staff were all brilliant, from reception to triage to the nurse practitioner, friendly and smiling and explained everything perfectly. It was packed out and they were run off their feet but still maintained an excellent service.

Probs the best turn around times I've encountered in any hospital even though the walkin depts are very busy! A big thanks to all that helped me!

I have been twice now to the MIU (Minor Injuries Unit) here. The staff are helpful, the room and seating are very clean and the doctor that saw me was very helpful. The entire process took 20 minutes and I was looked after very well.
