The staff were incredible, I came into the hospital after a brutal car accident on the m56 in my new mustang which was destroyed. The doctors and nurses attended to me with great urgency, providing all of the necessary equipment to make me as comfortable as possible. I was looked after by some wonderful nurses who explained everything that was happening to reassure me and prevent any further pain. I was given a CT scan and released same evening. I am so grateful and appreciative to all of the staff at your hospital, working tirelessly through the Christmas period to make sure people like me are brought back to good health, cheering me up with jokes and kind words. I will never forget what was done for me that fateful evening, thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Was told my cut was fine, went back in the week as it was still bleeding and was told I should have gotten stitches when I first went!! Now I can't get them because of the risk of infection. So I have an open cut that will heal, but could have been sorted initially.

A&E Staff and Nurses were very pleasent whilst i was waiting to be seen, offered food, tea and coffee
Checked in on me every now and then and always made sure i was okay
Hours to wait were long but it was because I came in overnight where there was a staff shortage, not their fault, they're trying their best

6 Stars if I could.
For the ladies at the Blood unit at Warrington Hospital who were working at 12:30 on the 19.11.21.
They were polite, friendly and managed to squeeze me in.
The NHS gets a bad name, but I was in and out in less than 5 minutes due to amazing staff.
Thank You.
DONT GO TO BATH STREET CLINIC. AWFUL SERVICE.

This really should be ten stars for the Endoscopy Dept and no stars for the appointment system and for the post-procedural follow-up.
I had two procedures in the Endoscopy Dept on 6th August. All I can say is how wonderful every single person was in the Department. They were uniformly kind, helpful, informative and professional. That Dept at Warrington is a shining example of what is best about the NHS. Thank you.
However, the system for arranging the appointment was clumsy and certainly not user-friendly, and in terms of the follow-up, I am still waiting for the results of the biopsies fourteen weeks after the samples were taken.

I have a few major operations at the hospital and the surgeons and staff were brilliant they were friendly and helped alot I would recommend this hospital

I was born in this hospital in 1970.. My mother told me how awesome they treated her and how good the staff was back then. Thank you...

Obviously I didn't love the fact that I had to visit A&E but my visit was smooth and helpful.
Firstly I'd like to thank all of the NHS staff for the amazing job they do. Under some of the most difficult conditions we have ever known the staff at this hospital soldier on with a happy and pleasant attitude.
There was some wait time involved which is understandable due to current covid restrictions. I always felt completely safe and secure during my visit.
I had to move between a couple of departments, I was given clear and concise directions to get me from A to B.

My mum Sandra R had excellent care on b4 at Halton today thanks to Sylvia and staff

Took my daughter for her 1st covid vaccine today at Warrington hospital. Great experience from start to finish. Made to feel welcome and at ease from the minute we entered outpatients. All the team were super lovely and a big shout out to the lovely specialist nurse called Michelle who gave the vaccine, as my daughter tends to faint after any injection, but Michelle was ace !!! Done and dusted before my daughter had time to close her eyes, and no fainting !! First time ever, so please let Michelle know she is fabulous ❤

I’ve been sat in A&E for a few hours now, this is to be expected. No complaints from me as all the staff are run off their feet. Whilst I’m sat here I’ve heard a lovely woman on reception taking care of patients. She is super friendly, super efficient and very caring. As you can imagine on the hottest day of the year, A&E is heaving but this lady (sorry i don’t know her name, blonde wearing glasses) is a breath of fresh air. She’s just so welcoming and genuinely kind. It’s made the wait that little bit more bearable :)

Phoned for advice about my faulty hearing aid. Called at 10.58, received an appointment for 1445 the same day. Arrived at the hospital at 1425 and hearing aid fixed by 1440, and left hospital before my appointment time, excellent service . I would like to have given 10 stars.

I have been sent to triage to delivery suite at Maternity unit today and what an amazing experience. Excellent midwife, super professional and kind doctor, all stuff smiley and supportive. They explained every step they took, they were extremly knowledgelable and patient. They were also discreet and very caring. I am not sure how they stay so positive after nearly 1.5 years of pandemic. Thank you so much. You made me feel secure and reassured that me and my baby are ok.

Not the fastest Q&A, but they have been crazy busy. What is really good about this hospital is ample parking at a reasonable rate and great surgery and post op support.

Absolutely amazing! From start to finish of my wife's pregnancy, there is not one thing to fault. The staff are fantastic, and the new birthing facility is spectacular. Made the experience very special indeed

Fantastic hospital with friendly staff, I had a wonderful experience here

Just spent a couple of days on C20. Staff run off their feet but remained smiling, they really worked for their money. A lot of moving of patients due to decorating but remained safe at all times. I was very happy to see the ward manager and matron getting stuck in when all the patients needed moving so that the nursing staff could continue with their medicine round duties. Overall I left very satisfied with my surgery and cant compliment the staff enough. I enjoyed my little NHS 2 day holiday. Keep up the good work. Xx

The staff was wonderful with me And they understand in learning disability and autism they Explained to me what was happening and asked did I understand
H. M.
Car park at the front only one with no hight restrictions for my van, some spaces left but due to a combination of bad parking and poor, narrow lanes I had no chance. Only one good thing is that it's free at the moment, usually a rip off. As for the hospital, C.T scan was a head of time, was all done before appointment time.

I haven't been to the hospital for treatment but I have spoke on a few occasions to the appointments line, and I can honestly say they are the best in the 3 other hospitals I have delt with. They are Very helpful, friendly, and a pleasure to deal with, they are not miserable or make you feel uncomfortable when you ring. Today I had the pleasure of dealing with Jess who kept me informed while placing me on hold and helped me re book a appointment easily. On other occasions when I have spoke to others on the line they are very pleasant.
Keep up the good work appointments team, i dont dread the miserable tone when I call!!
Thanks again😊

Super efficient planning
I received a cancellation notice last month letting me know my appointment in November 2020 has been cancelled. This is superb forward planning. I am amazed that they look so far ahead to plan cancellations. Can they get the same team involved in planning appointments as well? It would be great to have such an efficient appointments system.
E. W.
The hospital staff on ward A2, including physios, doctors, staff nurses was absolutely fantastic. The care they gave my dad during his month stay was immense.
I cannot thank them enough.

Staff are great at this hospital . Was there last night and they looked after my precious boy really well and reassured me and I also noticed how good they were with the other patients and parents. The reviews about the parking can easily be sorted by getting the pay by phone app and just paying afterwards it does log in a different time although the parking people who own the car park still know you have paid . If you are confused as to which part of the hospital to park at you can always phone ahead and ask as that's what I do due to my poor mobility. Also they are human and I totally believe they do their best and follow the , first do no harm as it's their oath they take. Warrington also has had a huge amount of cut backs.
J.
Staff were extremely friendly & very giggly on our visit. Many of the nurses were raiding the vending machine of sodas and bags of crisps - probably from burning so much energy on their shifts. Everyone seemed to be in high spirts! Great hospital experience!
n. l.
Cannot thank the staff on B11 children's ward enough tonight. They were fantastic! Both the nurses amd doctors were lovely with our little girl. Nothing was too much trouble. We are so lucky to have such fantastic people working in the NHS. Thank you.
b. j.
I have to give them 5 stars because they looked after me for like nearly all day the doctors and nurses are kind to me and the porter who took me to ct scan. And also they are extremely working hard looking after patients during covid 19 I give them credit for that aswell. 🙂 #THANKUNHS

Just spent day in radiology having lung biopsy under CT (Friday 7th August).
Brilliant staff on both radiology ward and x ray/CT department. Holly, Danielle, Lyndsy, Gail, Karen, several others whose names
escape me, and not forgetting Dr Jones who performed the procedure. Thankyou for your care your consideration, and your company! A great team. Good luck for the future Danielle.
D. J.
My experience of the hospital and staff was positive, but sadly let down by long waiting times and car park charges.
If the money from car parking was directed towards hospital facilities or extra weekend staff I would have no problem paying to park, but having to pay a 3rd party company for the already unpleasant experience of visiting loved ones in an awful situation is unacceptable.
To the staff in A&E, keep up the good work and thank you for the time and care you provided my Mum!

Amazing staff. Ambulance crew, accident and emergency staff and all those working in different departments to support them. We are in awe. The professional, caring service with constant new patients needing assessment and treatment has left us humbled.

Sunday 29th. September,2019, I had to call 999.....I was feeling Terrible....The Ambulance arrived Very Quickly. The Paramedics were Exceptional. ...The Lady and Man Paramedics looked after me as though I were their Son... The man even CLEANED UP the Vomit that I had vomited on the Sitting Room Carpet and Bathroom floor !!!!!! They took me to the Emergency Unit at Warrington Hospital where I was cared for, until I was moved to The Frailty Unit at The Hospital. I wish to Make Clear, that I received The Most Treatment Ever Possible, in Any Hospital! !!!!!! I wish to Thank ALL of The Staff that were in ANY WAY Whatsoever, concerned in My Exceptional Treatment during my Stay at Warrington Hospital. I am Very Greatfull to All. Best Wishes. Presented at Halton Hospital yesterday with chest pains. From the moment I walked into reception I was dealt with by a fabulous team of really great staff. The nurses in Halton were great and because the ECG department was at lunch, brought in Ben a Paramedic to do an ECG with the ambulance machine. Then they took me by ambulance to Warrington, Kev and Pat the driver were just brilliant. And in Warrington I was treated really well by the staff there, who were attentive, and just again brilliant. I can't thank them all enough for just excellence in their professional and personal manner.
I cannot speak more highly of the experience I received in their capable hands.
Thank you everyone.

It is nearly three years since I was diagnosed with breast cancer, all the treatment, consultant, nurses and everyone I came into contact were fantastic. The catering staff do an amazing job catering for so many people and a wide selection of meals.
I have been using both hospitals for various treatments, and can only say a huge thank you to you all for looking after me so well.
First class treatment

Mediocre review only saved by the ward staff.
My Dr took 4hours to see me,to tell me he couldn't help because it wasn't his area of expertise.despite being referred for a specific problem. So an overnight stay was required. As a result of a 39°+ temp I had to have a cannula fitted..this was done by an unsupervised student that tried her best but caused me substantial pain during the insertion, the gauge of the needle was too large and the length felt like it went into my armpit.the resulting blood flow couldn't be stopped and she had to call for assistance that should have been there to begin with to prevent these things happening. I know students have to learn but supervision should be required and the discomfort throughout my stay was noted by the ward staff who also mentioned the bayharbour butcher like attachment. I now have a bruise the size of a CD ranging from my forearm past my elbow. The Dr was very kind and I cannot fault him in his decision not to proceed in an area he was not specialised in. However he did end up prescribing me antibiotics that were stated to be an allergen on every single peice of paperwork going back 15years including two conversations face to face that evening. Had it not been for the attention paid by the ward staff who picked up on the penicillin based drug that would have killed me. I wouldn't be able to write this review. At points my temperature topped 40°c which caused concern for all surrounding me. Had it not been for that fact, I would have left to find alternative medical attention elsewhere. The only saving grace for my life and this review, is the compliance and box ticking applications of the ward staff. Thank you for all your help and the sandwiches.

Many thanks to all the wonderful staff at the hospital ..many thanks to Danielle and to the nurse who removed my stitches, unfortunately i don't know her name 😔

Staff here are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. My 3 year old had an operation here and nothing was too much trouble for them, always happy and smiling too and always nice to us parents. Compared to some of the staff at Whiston it is a million times better.. the actual hospital is dated and needs a full refurb but really can not fault the service, amazing people
A. D.
Outpatient appointments are always late and there is never anywhere to park, the quality of staff is good and on some wards the staff are exceptional. But it's a shame they don't have the funding to get staff required for the high demand of patients.
G. B.
The women who works in the reception was very kind and smiley, the doctor is Top in all.
Xray team was lovely , quick, professional.
Thank you all.
Warm regards

I was in and out of warrington all bank holiday. I was really impressed with the staff from reception, to porters, nurses and consultant who seen me. I want to thank them for all their care and attention, it was very much appreciated.

My only criticism of Warrington & Halton Hospitals is that it is so very difficult to park a car when you need to go to the hospitals, either as a patient, or as chauffeur for members of my parish. I am the Pastoral Worker for my parish and that means that perhaps I go more regularly than some, some days more than once..
Once inside the staff could not be better, they are helpful, polite, patient and do their best to make everyone feel at ease.

Between the third week in January and the end of April 2015, I was treated for problems related to gall stones, culminating in an operation to remove my gall bladder; a procedure from which I now consider myself to have made a full recovery, hence my decision to share the positive experience of being cared for in both Warrington and Halton hospitals.
Although I had plans to have my gall bladder removed and was already in the system, the schedule changed dramatically when I had to be admitted to Warrington Hospital by ambulance in a lot of pain. This turned out to be pancreatitis. Within 45 minutes of making the call I was in A & E receiving pain medication and in due course was moved to ward A6, where I spent the next two weeks. Over the following few weeks I would return to A6 twice; once to be treated for another incidence of cholecystitis and then finally as I recovered from the operation to remove my gall bladder at Halton hospital.
Throughout that period, I was treated by Mr Sarfraz and his excellent team of colleagues, notably Mr Sutton. Mr Sarfraz carried out the surgery himself and significantly reduced my recovery time by using his skill to complete a technically demanding operation without reverting to open surgery. I was particularly pleased to be given numerous detailed explanations of the theory behind my treatment and also enjoyed some light-hearted discussions with a number of doctors. I developed a distinct impression of teamwork and mutual respect among members of Mr Sarfraz's team, not dissimilar to what I am used to in my work in secondary education.
Of at least equal importance however, was my day to day contact with the various teams of nurses and care assistants on A6, One hears in the media how demanding their job is but seeing it first hand over an extended period of time has left me with strong sentiments of respect, admiration and gratitude. I was particularly impressed by the way in which attention to detail in terms of dispensing medication and interpreting the directives of the consultants, at the morning and evening hand over meetings and throughout the day. This was always tempered with a friendly, good-humoured approach to the patients and I witnessed some really skillful handling of difficult situations.
There seemed to be a strong sense of teamwork between nursing staff and care assistants and this included student nurses, giving them a great example to learn from.
In some ways I was a little sad to leave each time I was discharged, since I came to enjoy the atmosphere on the ward. It would be wrong to single out any individuals, everyone contributed something to my treatment and recovery.
Finally, there are two important reasons for my decision to write this review. Firstly, it gives me an opportunity to publicly thank all the health professionals who contributed to my treatment and recovery. I could not have been in better hands! Secondly, there is a message for anyone about to be admitted for medical treatment. I would strongly recommend Warrington and Halton Hospitals. The skill and dedication of the staff will give you the best possible chance of a positive outcome.

Very quick, efficient and caring. Recent stories in the local press have caused outrage with patrons as they have said they have been unfairly charged by the ANPR system.
We were in for less than 30 minutes but elected to pay the £3 to avoid the chance of getting fined. You do get 30 minutes free so make sure you make a note of the time you enter the car park and can predict the time you leave it to ensure you don't over pay. Remember, this the time you turn into the car park and not the actual time you park up and get out as it may take a while to find a working parking meter.
Also you can pay when you leave and get the right amount rather than try and guess how much time you will need.
M. W.
Many thanks to all the wonderful staff at the hospital especially ward A4 and the Theatre Staff, your all absolute angel's. Thankyou for all your care #ThankyouNHS

Yesterday morning I attended an appointment to have a cataract removed. Well I Irealy do not know where to start or the the words to use, so I am am just going to brain storm.
Kind, friendly, utterly so professional, can not thank you gorgeous people enough. My sight is so improved already. Love you people😁😁😁

The hospital is okay in Warrington, with an array of department that at some point you could well need. Unfortunately the waiting times can be disproportionate. Although the great things about Warrington hospital include the subway within it AND it is very close to Warrington Pets and Exotics, which is convenient if you need to get a pet or some bugs for your exotic pet. It is also close to the post office. So if you order something huge home for a laugh, the lads at the post office have to take it there. Then you can go pick it up within walking distance! How convenient!!

The staff did go out of their way to let me visit a parent (non covid)

It's a Hospital, so what can I say? Does anybody who is old enough miss the way hospitals used to smell like?

I can't fault them. Basically they saved my brother life! Due to their quick actions and organisation he's alive. My brother moved hospital after a few days to a specialist but even then they called and checked up on how he was getting on many times. We couldn't have asked for better :)

this is top class for service and friendliness the staff are amazing and just cannot do enough for you well done to them all
L. J.
Treated with great care, compassion, kindness and skill by the amazing Interventional Radiography team, I couldn't fault anybody,

I had a total knee replacement at Halton Hospital last Thursday 14th May, I cannot praise them too highly, the care on every level was absolutely superb. What was a delight to see was the dedication
from all the staff and how wonderful to see teams of people who all genuinely seemed to like each other and actually seemed happy in their work. So well done Halton long may you continue to keep
up the excellent work. It really annoys me that all we seem to hear is the negatives within the N.H.S.
and although I'm not naïve enough to think everything is perfect, impossible to achieve in such a large organisation anyway, Halton goes a huge way to redress the balance.
M. R.
Hospital is pretty decent, the staff are friendly and hard working. But it's let down by appointments. I've had to chase a few up because I simply didn't recieve one, it's a nightmare in itself because nobody ever answeres the phone.

Cannot fault the staff and care at Warrington and especially at Halton Ward CMTC whilst going through the awful experience of breast cancer. Fantastic care and advice at every step along the way. Nothing was too much trouble.
In these Covid times the unit at Halton felt very secure and sterile . Thank you so much again.
D. H.
The ward I was on was dirty. The appointment system is appalling. I cannot fault ICU. I was in there for two days and I have nothing but praise for nurses and the treatment I received
