Reviews of Goring Hall Hospital

I recently had surgery at Goring Hall and highly recommend this hospital. From the outpatients experience ( special thanks to Carol, Zena and Michelle LB for their assistance and courtesy ) to the ward and theatre staff who took amazing care of me throughout. The ward doctor Ayo was exceptionally compassionate and made such a difference to a stressful time when I needed pain management and he listened carefully and went above and beyond to help me be more comfortable.
The estate is clean and well run and every step of my journey was efficient and ran smoothly and seemingly effortlessly ( although I know how hard staff work and this is much appreciated) I had a maintenance issue and Cheryl facilitated attention to this in a swift time frame and nothing was too much trouble - thank you ! The food was delicious too !
Steve, my assigned physio is excellent and is currently helping me get back on my feet. He is kind and has spent time really listening to me alongside putting me through my paces !
Overall I would like it known that I would have pleasure in recommending this hospital and it’s staff and would like to thank everyone for making my experience a really positive one.

I had a total knee replacement this week and am so impressed with every aspect of the process. The pre-operation assessment was comprehensive and notes reviewed by an anesthetist in advance of the operation. This enabled me to have a reassuring discussion, prior to surgery, about the need for a GA, given my difficult spinal history. The hospital has an excellent workforce; whatever their role, staff are friendly, caring and interested in knowing patients as people. There is a harmonious feel to the wards and patients are made to feel welcome and at home. The procedure went smoothly and aftercare was thorough. Communication was excellent at every stage of the way. Housekeeping services are excellent and food beautifully prepared and presented. I could not have had a better experience anywhere and recommend Goring Hall without reservation.

Posting on behalf of my mother in law; I have been into Goring Hall this week to have a steroid injection in my hip. I would just like to say how wonderful Mr Shah and his team were. They were great at making me feel relaxed and all through my treatment he was speaking to me, letting me know what he was doing. I just wanted to thank them again for the care, kindness and excellent treatment I received. Highly recommended.

I had a TKR at Goring Hall three weeks ago and had excellent care from all the nursing staff, my surgeon Mr Palmer and his colleagues who I am very grateful to. I am recovering well and so pleased I chose to go to Goring Hall despite it not being the nearest hospital to me.
I had a very comfortable room with a lovely view over the grounds which helped me relax. The food was good though I didn’t have much of an appetite, mostly interested in having ‘sparkling water’ to drink which the kitchen staff always managed to find for me.
I would recommend Goring Hall Hospital to everyone.
Thank you all 💕

Just had my total knee replacement surgery done, a big thank you to Mr Palmer and his team. I was make to feel at ease at all times and everything was explained in clear and concise manner.
My ward staff and Physio nurses were first class however I must a huge thank you to two ward nurses in particular: Phoebe and Sophie nothing to much. Amazing.
Thank you again

I recently had hip replacement surgery at Goring Hall under Mr Shah and his team. I have to admit to being rather nervous about the procedure but my fears were soon allayed by the kindness and professionalism of all concerned.
I was greeted and prepared for surgery by 2 lovely nurses . I was treated with friendliness and dignity and soon began to relax. I was then handed over to Dr Uncles and his very kind and friendly assistant Ronnie. I don't remember a great deal more until I woke up in recovery, having had Spinal anaesthesia!
My aftercare was faultless, the nurses and on site doctor fantastic , particularly in attending to my pain issues!
My grateful thanks to you all, not only nurses and doctors but porters, catering staff and physio as well.
I will be returning for more surgery in the months to come and will approach that time with far less trepidation.
I thoroughly recommend Goring Hall hospital.

The Doctors and Nurses at Goring hall were First-Class. Just the right amount of attention and not once did I feel nervous or anxious. Incredible care, Thank you. First time I’ve been admitted to any hospital for 30 years and I can honestly say I’ve paid a lot of money to have worse customer service. Amazing!

The whole team were excellent from when I arrived to leaving. The nursing and physio staff were friendly, chatty and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Having had a knee replacement I was kept informed and put at ease by the surgery team. Fully recommend the hospital. Thank you everyone, especially James Lewis on carrying out the surgery.

I am recovering from a very successful hip replacement operation. From the first consultation until now the process at Goring Hall hospital has been seamless and I have been extremely well treated throughout. My recovery is going very well thanks to the post Op support from the hospital. All staff are caring and very professional. My thanks to all and especially to my consultant Mr Shah who has given me a new lease of life at 67.

Recently had to attend Goring Hall on 2 separate occasions for related procedures and have been pleased with the care attention for all at the hospital. From the nurses through to the consultant and theatre team. Felt that the attention to detail was excellent and supported throughout. My only possible criticism would be the communication from the central 'pre-assessment' team to the hospital itself could have been better (but this team isn't based locally and is done via a contact centre and is part of the wider 'Circle Health Group).

I had to go for a pre assessment prior to my surgery. I met with Sandra and Juliet who were both great. They did a questionnaire and assessment with me. It was a very relaxing experience making me feel calm and confident knowing they knew their job well. Sandra and Juliet Well Done

I’ve just been discharged after a 2 night stay for an NHS funded knee replacement. I was lucky to have this op here and all the staff and facilities were excellent and I cannot fault them. Special praise to nurses Gio, Johnnie, Josh, Ashleigh and night nurse Fiona. They were so kind and professional and supportive. I was looked after on the day of my op by other nurses but I was too groggy to remember their names, but thank you. Staff morale seems high at Goring Hall and everyone was cheerful and reassuring.

I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy on 30/03/22 and my experience could not have been better. My first meeting with my consultant, Mr S. Alsammoua, back in February left me feeling calm, confident and very well informed. The level of care I received before, during and after my surgery was incredible - every single member of staff that dealt with/helped me was so kind and friendly, I cannot thank them enough. Due to COVID restrictions no visitors were allowed and I’d like to say a special thank you to Josh who was absolutely lovely and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and not so lonely! I would recommend Goring Hall and all of its staff to EVERYONE!

Consultant Dr Nyunt gave excellent care and the results of both cataract surgical procedures was second to none for my husband. Highly recommended. Only complaint was the lack of facilities for the carer, no catering or rest areas. As I am disabled and have to drive for over an hour to get the patient there, it is a choice of waiting for approx. 6 hours in the hospital or spending 4 hours driving to and fro. I can't just spend time in the high street as I am unable to walk far plus parking in the town is poor additionally my oxygen cylinder wouldn't last that long.

I had an excellent experience at Goring Hall and recommend the hospital very highly. From the start, I knew that I was being treated by a professional team who took amazing care of me throughout in everything from my medical needs to personal comfort. There were so many people involved in my care and their teamwork was outstanding. I will always be grateful to my consultant, Mr Al Singary for everything he did and to the wonderful theatre and nursing team that supported him. My allocated nurse, Besary, was wonderful and the rest of the nursing team were always available and very kind. Meals were of a very high standard and served by considerate staff. My room was clean, pleasant and relaxing.
R. P.
Had foot operation by the skilful hands of Mr Palmer. Wonderful support from whole team including Ronnie in anaesthetics (very caring when things did not go to plan, was supportive and very empathetic), nursing skills of Susan and Alison. Food, drink and positive thoughts from the lovely Vivian. Thanks to everyone. Kind regards Rick

It is now a week since my hip replacement carried out by Mr James Lewis and his team. And what a great team they are, we had a bit of banter in the pre op room but everything was so professional. I was informed all the way. After the operation, I was taken to the Ilex ward where i was looked after by another very professional team of nurses,Physios doctors and catering staff. I always felt at ease and there was no stress at all. So thank you to both teams for a job well done and to me ,a very satisfied customer ! A word to describe it all - SUPERB !
L. P.
My Husband recently had his pre-op assessment with nurses Celia and Juliet and they couldn't have been more helpful. They took him through the process step by step and made everything very clear to understand. Made the whole appointment less stressful and less daunting in what is to come. Thank you to both ladies for being great in every way.
A. G.
My mother attended the hospital this week for her pre op appointment, prior to having a hip replacement next week. The staff who looked after her were super - Celia, Juliet and Jade were professional, explained everything to her really clearly and made the experience really stress free. Excellent service all round so far.

Every time I have visited Goring hall I have always been treated with respect, dignity and empathy. Those who work within this fine establishment genuinely care and are determined to assist with my medical needs. I have waited five years for a hip replacement with other hospitals to just be palmed off and humiliated. Goring hall took one look at my medical notes, scanned me immediately and had me booked in for surgery within a few months. I visited today for a pre op and was welcomed by Sandra and Juliet, both ladies were very kind, informative and thorough regarding my medical history. They made me feel that I could speak openly without being judged and that allowed me to ask questions of my own in return. I wish other hospitals were as organised as Goring hall as I truly believe that the care and treatment I have received so far would be marked as the highest of standards and should be others aim. Well done to all that work at Goring hall, you are not only fine examples of decent people but a glimmer of hope to anyone who is in pain. Thank you for accepting me and offering me surgery when no other hospital would.

Went in for Hip Replacement, from start to finish all staff treated me with respect and honesty. I was very worried about my operation but all the staff made me feel that I was in safe hands. Was glad I had the operation done at Goring Hall, by Surgeon Mr James Lewis. Thanking you all.
M. M.
I had a good experience in goring hall all staff and including the theatre and recovery team, nurses. And was looked after by the catering staff when I could not eat very well.
And I found the porter's very helpful.
I am now slowly starting to feel a lot better.
Thank you

Ultrasound guided cortisone injection into hip joint.
I was treated by Dr Jeswani and Sister Denise. I was very impressed with the treatment and care I received. Friendly and caring, yet professional. The team happily answered all my questions. I was kept informed throughout. Whilst I could feel the injection there was no pain. Nearly 24 hours on I am beginning to feel the benefits. I have high hopes for increased pain relief whilst waiting for my hip replacement. Thank you to both Dr Jeswani and Sister Denise.
J. D.
Excellent guided ultrasound procedure. Dr Jeswani was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He explained brilliantly the process and possible treatment options going forward, and the procedure itself went smoothly. Nurse Jo was very helpful too. Highly recommend.
S. B.
Having just had my 4th joint replacement at Goring Hall - yet again I cannot fault the care & staff. If you have the misfortune to need medical treatment/surgery this is the place to be with the privacy of your own en suite room . All the staff are very kind & everything is explained to you at every stage. I feel blessed to have been able to have my surgery here.

Pre Op assessment with nursing staff. Sandra and Juliet were Kind, caring and very helpful. Sandra explained everything and was very reassuring. The procedure was completed efficiently and I was on my way within an hour.
Operation went well and aftercare was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and medical team and support staff caring and considerate at all times.

Today I had my pre op assessment prior to a total hip replacement and would like to thank Celia and Abir for their kindness, expertise and good humour in helping me through the process - they were wonderful. Everyone I have met at the Hospital has been lovely and I am now less anxious and ready for the operation, thank you!
M. B.
World class service offered by welcoming, happy, very professional people. A joy to be with them... recommend to all ! I had knee arthroscopy performed by Simon Palmer, massively pleased and impressed with every aspect of working with Simon, thank you so much Simon ! The pre op was excellent, the ward staff again superb and the catering lady was a bubbly, lovely lady delivering hotel level service, again thank you so much...... superb from start to finish !
J. M.
Have just had a knee replacement. Surgeon excellent backed up with very able staff in all departments that I came into contact with. Considerable time given to explaining each stage of the procedure and in checking my post operation recovery.
B. P.
Recently had cataract surgery in the care of Ms Sheqem and her team. From the initial consultation to my surgery every stage was fully explained. A truly painless and highly successful outcome. Many thanks to all.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff looking after May a 97 year old cataract patient yesterday. Procedure completed by Mr Lam who was very kind and patient at all times. Everybody very genuinely could not have been more friendly and helpful. Thank you team

Pre op completed today by my two caring nurses, Sandra and Juliet. Very thorough in all respects, paperwork and tests, all completed in a relaxing atmosphere.
Immediate results with blood tests through on line by the evening.
Good experience

I had my pre-op assessment today (12th July) with Sally and a lovely nurse. They were both extremely pleasant and professional. They filled in reams of forms and carried out many tests on me. They were able to answer all my questions and gave me all the information I needed. They made the experience very pleasant! Thank you.

As a staff member coming in for surgery i was very anxious but i was extremely well looked after by the team especially Kiera, Wendy, Katie, May and Phoebe! All of them went out of their way to make sure i was ok just like they would any other patient. Although I was staff I was still cared for very well. I was also very well looked after by they physio team especially Trix and Charlie. I am slowly recovering but hope to see you all soon! And a massive Thankyou to you all again! You are all wonderful!

Just 9 days after my consultation, the surgeon was able to perform the operation to solve my problem. The staff were excellent, making me comfortable all through the operation process, and keeping me informed as to what was going to happen and how I might feel as a result. The operation went very smoothly, I had no pain afterwards, and was given a very clear after care package. What might have been an anxious occasion was anything but, and I would like to thank all the staff for helping me get well again.
J. R.
Had a post operation appointment at Goring Hall Worthing this week. Very please with the in-depth process they have, no stone left unturned , extremely thorough. Thank you Juliet & co.for putting me at ease with my concerns.

I had a total hip replacement at the hospital. All the staff, from the ladies who brought my lunch to the Consultants, were so friendly and helpful. Always had time to answer questions and reassure you, but always totally professional.

Today I had a gastro endoscopy at the hospital after struggling with stomach and duodenal ulcers for more than 10 years. I have had 3 endoscopies during the first three years of my journey with this but they were quite traumatic. I was very anxious about the whole procedure but with the help, support and understanding of all staff involved I got through it smoothly without any problems or post-trauma. It is mind-blowing to me still how professional, calming and support everyone everyone is at the hospital including nurses, doctors, support staff. I could only recommend the hospital and most likely to be back if I have any relevant issues. The specialist was incrediy understanding and listened to all my concerns about the long term condition and it was clear from the very beginning that they are eager to get to the bottom of this. From start to finish my experience with their service was just exceptional. Thank you Goring Hall Hospital.
D. L.
My pre-assessment with Sandra and Juliet was informative, easy, painless. Both Sandra and Juliet are very friendly, professional and have good senses of humour. Date I say an enjoyable experience! Thank you both.

Had my hip replacement on the 3rd August. Wish to convey my thanks to Mr Narang and his team, Mr Narang explained all the pros and cons of this operation. Also to Karen West and her team explaining why I needed an iron infusion before my operation. To Benita and her team on the Ilex ward, just to mention a few who looked after me, Mae Ruth Fiona and Gigi and anyone else I have forgotten so thanks. To Neil and his staff for the excellent meals served up it was like being in a hotel. To Steve and Sue in helping me to learn how to walk again with their encouragement. I came in as a NHS patient but was treated very well by everyone all very professional in their field making sure I still got the best care so thanks.
What I did find disappointing having worked at Goring Hall for 11years as the gardened and maintenance man plus filling in on other departments, the state of the courtyard gardens so bland no colour in the flower beds trees overgrown. The courtyard had roses, bedding plants had colour from spring through to Autumn and some winter colour as well, the lawns and edges where we'll kept so staff and patients could enjoy that area. But overall the decor in the hospital has vastly improved from my time there. Thanks

Earlier this week I had an OP at Goring Hall hospital under the care of Faz Pakarian. The hospital was not my first choice due to distance but I was not disappointed!
Both - Dr Pakarian’s care as well as the the care from all the nursing, medical & anaesthetic team
were fantastic. They attempted to relieve any anxiety before the procedure with humour/ distraction & reassurance and care after the procedure was delivered with care & empathy.
What I really liked was as well hearing laughing & joking between staff in hallway (+ operating theatre) - giving reassurance that the teams there get on well & are enjoying what they are doing!
Thanks Dr Pakarian & team & all at Goring hospital!

Had surgery for Ptosis (eyelid) last week. Superb surgeon Ms Poitelea and surgical team. Wonderful nurses on the ward too. Made a slightly worrying procedure, knowing I would be awake, very comfortable. Great experience.

I have just got home after a total hip replacement, organised by the lovely Rhonda, with the wonderful Mr Shah at this hospital! I cannot praise it highly enough and the root of its excellence is, as always, it’s staff! They have been exceptional, patient, caring and professional! There are so many to mention but Cayley, Lois and Bessie went the extra mile in my close care! And the awesome Physio Trix, strong, knowledgeable but also just really kind. I want to mention Aisling, Ruth, Josh, Katie, Gio, Phoebe, Aaron, Nicky and Gigi, who were just such excellent examples of their profession, I’m sure I have forgotten people but you were all so cheerful and caring while looking after me! Special mention to Liberty for excellent immediate post op care and a huge round of applause for the most wonderful human being Oliver Powell who’s care of me felt incredibly personal whilest always remaining a total professional, I would highly recommend this hospital based on him alone!!! Thank you all for a life changing operation in such a professional environment.

Good private eye care for a complex cataract case.
My Nyunt , eye surgeon, was excellent as was the anaesthetic and nursing team.
Of course you need to be comfortable with paying for private care but who knows when the NHS backlog will be cleared.
My experience was good, and questions re cost are sympathetically dealt with.

My wife Sally Turner went into Goring Hall Hospital on Thursday 28 for her pre assessment and she would like to thank Juliet Watson and Karen West for the excellent care they gave her, many thanks Sally and Steve Turner. Today Monday 30 th May my wife Sally went back to Goring Hall Hospitals treatment room to have her dressing removed and the operation site checked out , it was healing well and looking good , Mr Narang did an amazing job, and Sharon in the treatment room today was just so nice and helpful and caring, well done to all.

I had a total hip replacement at goring hall under the care of the lovely Mr Shah. My journey started at pre-assessment, the whole team were friendly and caring and all the necessary pre op informarion and tests were done.
The team on Ilex are truly amazing, the nursing team are so friendly and caring, the care I received was second to none. Nothing is ever too much for them. Theatre team were fab too, even had a laugh or two!! Mr Shah came and saw me after and explained everything to me, and the next steps to my recovery.
Huge thanks to the physio team who were brilliant also, giving me the confidence I needed.
My room was very clean and comfortable and the food was lovely.
Thank you to all of you at Goring Hall for the wonderful care you have given me. 😊

This was my first visit to Goring Hall Hospital, even the approach is more like arriving at a Country Hotel. The whole experience was very reassuring for me being extremely nervous. I saw Mr Waleed Al-Singary who is a wonderful Doctor, extremely kind, caring and approachable and explained everything thoroughly. The whole team put me at ease and my fears very quickly disappeared. I feel very fortunate to have been seen for treatment by such a skilled consultant and would highly recommend Mr Al Singary.
B. D.
I had my pre-op assessment this morning with Celia and Kelly. They were both extremely pleasant and efficient. They filled in reams of forms and carried out many tests. They answered my questions and gave me all the information I needed. They made a trip to a hospital a very pleasant experience!
Sept 8th. I have now had my first hip replacement. I cannot praise the staff at Goring Hall too highly. From my excellent consultant, Mr Rao, to the ladies who brought the meals, all were pleasant, helpful and kind. The whole process went very smoothly and I find it hard to suggest anything which could have been significantly improved. An air of calm pervades the hospital, something our poor over-stressed NHS finds increasingly hard to maintain. I was an NHS patient at Goring Hall…
L. S.
Sally and Juliette did my pre-op assessment today and they were so lovely and professional, put me right at ease. People normally struggle to get blood out of me, but Juliette did it on the first go!! I was so calm that it was commented how calm I was which also never happens for me at pre-op assessments! :) Thanks both!!
C. B.
This was my first experience as a patient, anywhere and my first "being put under". I've been looked after fantastically well by Mr Narang, the radiology department and also by the team within the Day Care ward and the Anesthesia guys.
Have to mention Vivian in Catering who was a joy to be around both as soon as I went in and as one of the first faces i saw after coming round.......makes a mean ham and cheese sandwich too, tempted to go back in just for lunch.
Thank you again

The Care And attention I received from everybody in the hospital anesthetist surgeon nursing staff and not to forget the superb food Five weeks on I am walking normally and in no pain. If you are thinking of using this hospital.? Do not hesitate five star all of the way.

Seen Mr sineary . He was excellent very reassuring . HCA liberty and Sharon were welcoming .answered my questions and put me at ease .
So I attended the hospital for a day procedure on 29/4 . Mr Al singary was amazing . He spoke to me before and after the procedure and was very reassuring . Helpful and lovely . The anaesthetist was also so nice and spoke to me before and after the procedure and happy to answer my questions . The nursing team were great . Helpful and made me feel at ease . Vivienne who took my food order was also lovely . All in all I had a good day on my visit to goring hall . Thank you
I. K.
Attended my pre assessment yesterday at Goring Hall, was seen on time by Sandra and Juliet who were both very professional and friendly .
I was impressed with how much was covered and felt in safe hands as they clearly explained the tests being done .
P. H.
This was a pre operative assessment. I was dealt with by Celia and Irene. They were both very kind and caring, and considerate of my needs. When there was a hiccup because of my specific needs (one broken elbow and one stiff elbow) they were very tolerant and willing to amend procedures accordingly, for example not being able to lie down with my arms by my side for the ecg. The appointment was a surprisingly lengthy one, longer than for similar pre assessments I have previously undergone, and frankly it felt like bureaucracy and red tape. But this was not their fault, and they did much to lighten a heavy hour. I take my hat off to them both.
W. C.
I have just had my pre assessment for 2nd hip replacement with Karen and Juliette.
Thank you for putting me at my ease.. Having had one hip replacement I was a little apprehensive of the second.
I came away smiling and informed a nice combination. Such lovely ladies. Thank you x

This week I attended Goring Hall Hospital for treatment to relieve the pain of two Morton's Neuroma in my right foot. I was greeted by Kate Silverton-Moss who was just lovely and put me at my ease. She introduced me (and my husband) to Dr Tony Jeswani, Radiologist. Dr Jeswani was all one could wish for - professional, reassuring and informative with an excellent bedside manner. I had two injections into the offending nerves between the toes of my foot, and am happy to report it was a pain-free procedure! Now looking forward to a pain-free foot!!
R. N.
Went in as a day outpatient. Staff were very helpful, all good! Vivian in catering was great and took extra care to ensure I had a vegan meal.

I had an operation yesterday (13 June) via the NHS. I was very impressed by how I was looked after and treated so well by the surgeon, the anaesthetist, the nurses who looked after me, the dinner lady and the receptionists I met as I arrived and at the Day Case Centre.

22/6/22 - I had pre-assessment check-up yesterday and want to thank Celia and Abir. They were calming, very professional and proficient at their jobs. The needle for the blood test was painless. I am a Chartered Quality Management Consultant and always looking for process improvements wherever I go. The mountain of paperwork that Celia had to complete, with much duplicated data, surprised me. Many of my clients are now paperless and would have reduced this to using an iPad, to enter the data once, reducing errors and the software then automatically generating the various reports. If paper is still required, it can be printed, which costs money, which then needs filing, which takes time, which takes space, etc.
11/10/22 – Update. My own room on the ward, plus the attentive nursing staff made me at ease. I would like to thank my surgeon, Mr Al-Singray for the treatment and exemplary aftercare follow-up, which included phone calls and follow up consultations. On top of his technical skills, it’s a real bonus to receive this level of care. Thank you Mr Al-Singray.
R. O.
Had hip replacement, found the staff very compationate, the after care has been exceptional. Thank you to all staff involved with my surgery and aftercare.

I visited BMI Goring Hospital on the 17th of May for an MRI Scan. I always get quite claustrophobic and anxious whenever I have to go for a scan. When I got there, the receptionist Karen was very friendly and had such a nice calming voice which put me an ease. When It finally came to do the imaging I got terribly anxious and wasn’t sure I could go through with it but Liz and Jo who were there to do the scan were really lovely and took their time to make me as comfortable as possible by listening and helping any way that they could. I’m so thankful for their kindness and thoughtfulness on making sure I was ok. Thank you! You are such a great team! Xx
M. R.
I wanted to say thankyou for the fantastic treatment my Husband David has received from Mr James Lewis and team while having a hip replacement operation 😀 also a thanks to the Staff on Ilex ward, for the care you provided.

Treated really well, place was spotless, the nurses were lovely and the consultant had a sense of humour. Treated with dignity as they were giving my injections om my lower spine

Very professional and Sandra my pre assessor explained everything about my surgery and the procedures for before and after my operation. Even offered a cooling drink whilst I waited for my appointment.
G. D.
I had my pre assessment today with Cassie and Jade and they were brilliant very knowledgeable, excellent customer service and both are a credit to Goring Hall so happy I’m having my operation here

The staff at Goring Hall Hospital are all very friendly, knowledgeable and can't do enough for your comfort and wellbeing. Aftercare is great and lots of information is provided.

Just had my pre op tests done by Sandra,Juliet,Jenny and Helena. Was made to feel very comfortable, thank you all.

I was recently a day patient here. All staff I encountered were efficient and friendly and I was in and out in no time! Excellent treatment.
P. F.
On the day of surgery several patients , me included, had to have a lateral flow test in our cars prior to the operations as we had not received one! Once all clear we headed into the hospital.
The staff were great, rushed off their feet but nothing was too much trouble. I was very nervous but the nurses reassured me all would be well and yes it was.
Thank you to nurse Susan and her colleagues for all that you do for us now and in the future!
J. W.
Thank you for your professionalism and care. The energy' / atmosphere in your department was so calming my blood pressure hardly moved even though I get white coat syndrome! To be invited for my op 7 days from assessment was beyond belief. I have absolutely no doubt that Mr. Lam is one of the very best surgeons in the country. Thank you so much.
V. P.
I really wasn’t looking forward to have a knee replacement although I did feel lucky to be able to get my procedure carried out Goring Hall
I had total confidence in James Lewis and his team knowing how good James is from a previous procedure and the op itself went really well. Recovery can be the hardest part but I have to see the nursing team were brilliant with me. They paid constant attention making sure that I felt comfortable at whatever time. I have to mention Cayley, Jess, Jane, Malia and Sophie and thank them for their professionalism as well as their caring attitude. They made the nervy experience so much more enjoyable
Thanks James and thanks ladies for looking after me so well. There are other staff members who also did a great job but I didn’t get their names
Onwards and upwards now!
Thanks again
Vince

I was admitted in February for a total hip replacement,
all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. My surgeon was Mr Lewis who I can not praise high enough. The theatre staff kept me calm and were so professional. I would not hesitate to go back again if required.

I have today been discharged from Goring Hall following surgery on my spine yesterday. I honestly cannot thank the staff enough for everything that they did for me and cannot fault them in any way. They were absolutely amazing, so caring and compassionate, nothing is ever too much trouble. They deserve all the credit in the world for the brilliant job that they do❤

I had a total knee replacement at Goring Hall 2 weeks ago. From my first appointment, admission, 3 day stay and release , everything was perfect. Very efficient systems, lots of pre op information. Congratulations for providing an excellent service, everything from cleaners, porters, catering staff etc. beautifully prepared food too - very high standard. The nursing staff who dealt with me were excellent, very caring and kind. Charge nurse Gio was exceptional , putting me at ease, in fact all the staff were excellent. Physio scared me a bit , but Chris was brilliant with me. Down to my last visit yesterday to have clips removed by Sharon, such a caring nurse. Thank you so much to everyone. As an NHS patient I feel very privileged to have been dealt with so well. Still hobbling but getting there!

I went in today for a guided injection into my shoulder. Upon checking in I was greater by Denise Peart who was friendly and took me straight through to the radiography room where the procedure was to be performed. She checked my notes and noticed that the referring clinician had not sent over the correct paperwork. I was told we had two options. The first to reschedule and the second to try and get hold of the referring doctor and get the notes sent over. We went for option 2. After about 30 minutes and huge patience from Denise, we got the notes and the Dr Gagrani came in and she worked her magic. They both took the time to explain every step they took, reassured me all the while, where professional and had a good sense of humour whilst focussed on their tasks. They then gave me all the aftercare and follow up instructions. I can find only praise for the clinic staff and especially these two people.

I recently had a hip procedure and was extremely impressed by the professionalism and expertise Shown to me by Dr Gagarin and nurse Denise.
I received excellent after care advice from Denise as she walked me to my car !

Excellent care and attention from Jo and Dr Jeshwani. They are both extremely caring and made me feel very relaxed whilst having a guided injection - something that isn’t the most pleasant of experiences! Would highly recommend.

I recently had a CT guided injection into my back at Goring Hall. Did not have to wait at all and taken straight in. Procedure went well. Felt a bit of pain but very quickly given some more local anaesthetic. Staff were friendly and reassuring. Fully recommend GHH.

Outpatients appointment with Dr Li.
From the friendly greeting by the reception team through to a very thorough and efficient consultation we could not have asked for more . Full of confidence that my concerns have been taken seriously and that my treatment path is now being planned and carried out in a timely manner.

In August I had a hip replacement carried out at Goring Hospital. I have nothing but praise for the hospital and the staff.
My surgeon and anaesthetist were excellent as were the nursing and physiotherapy teams and the rest of the support staff. The after-care was excellent, the food was of a high standard and when I left, after three days, I was well on the way to recovery!
Should I ever need further medical care which can be provided by BMI Goring I would certainly return.
S. C.
I was referred to Goring Hall Hospital under the NHS and my treatment was exemplary. Both the nurse, Jo, and Radiologist Dr Jeswani, were friendly and professional and put me completely at ease. I cannot praise them enough.
L. M.
Goring don’t include crutches and discharge drugs post operation like Nuffield do and some insurance companies don’t cover for these items. I had £60 bill to be able to walk out the hospital. It was all included at Nuffield. Some staff were amazing some were poor. Whole experience not as good as other private hospitals I’ve been to.
A. B.
Anaesthetist hurt me when he injected fast ice cold anaesthetic.
Would of rather gone Worthing hospital.
Sling I left with can’t use as Velcro comes undone easily. Need an old fashioned one
M. M.

Great treatment from all staff on Day care ward for my trigger finger surgery. No fuss and well looked after

I started my Goring Hall experience as a patient instead of a member of staff with an excellent Covid and blood test carried out by Michelle and Sharon, they were very good at taking my mind of what they were doing but remained professional and fun . When it was finally the day of my operation i was really nervous but was treated by all with respect and compassion. my special thanks to Hilary in theatres who did an amazing job at making me feel comfortable and safe, May who was lovely for looking after me so well and Benita and Gary for coming into work for the evening after a long day and looking after me on the night shift.
A. V.
Emma and Juliet on the pre assessment team were amazing, so friendly and put me at ease. Very thorough in their roles without making you feel rushed. 5/5 for those two ladies.
L. M.
I was seen by Emma and Juliet for pre -assessment today.
They were both both professional and lovely. Totally put me at ease will efficiently doing their work.

As an NHS referral for a hernia operation... The staff were attentive, helpful, friendly, and safety conscious... Much better than an NHS hospital, in my experience..
P. B.
Just had a total hip replacement and all the nurses and doctors were fantastic special thanks to May, Emma and Juliet who looked after me so well

I had an operation here in March and it was a fantastic experience. The staff are easy to talk to and very kind. The nurse, Laura VF, was amazing and went above and beyond to make things as nice as possible. The whole team were fantastic and I felt really comfortable during the whole process. I would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone.
Overall, Amazing place and would give it more than 5 stars if it were possible.
J. R.
Just completed pre-assessment for my hip replacement. Sandra & Abir were great; friendly & reassuring. Looking forward to procedure with confidence now.

I wish to say a big thank you to mr shah and all the wonderful nurses and doctors
Who helped me with my hip replacement.
N. J.
Very easy to schedule my Orthopaedic appointment (and accompanying X-ray and MRI imaging) with Mr Shah thanks to the efforts of both Zena and Rhonda. Taken great care of in Outpatients by Michelle and Sharon, especially with the associated paperwork completion required. Mr Shah explained the diagnosis process and the potential treatment pathways which was very reassuring. The whole process was seamless from start to finish.
P. C.
Kerry and Juliet were brilliant.. put you at ease all the way through pre assessment
J. E.
Wonderful service from the team at Goring Hall Hospital.
Thank you Celia, Juliet and Jade for your kindness and patience.
A. H.
Met Sandra at Goring Hall today for my pre-med. As I have hearing issues she gladly dropped her mask so I could lipread. Whole experience went smoothly and left feeling reassured about my knee op next week. Thank-you Sandra.
R. C.
Catering - Granny Vina is your adopted Granny who makes you feel welcome and keeps you fed and watered with a smile. 😊😊
Day Surgery Staff, Anaethetist, Consultant (Mr Palmer), Physio - every member of staff who were involved in my operation/care were extremely welcoming and friendly. Kept me informed from start to finish of my Knee Arthroscopy. Can’t recommend them enough.
J. P.
Have just been for my second pre op, unfortunately my op was postponed last time, so pleased to have the same nurse again Juliet Watson, I am quite difficult to get blood from and she managed it first time both times, she was really friendly and put me at ease. I really hope she is there for when I have my surgery done.
C. C.
I visited The Imaging Department of Goring Hall today and was met by Jo who made me feel very welcome and calm. She prepared me for my scan which was done by Dr Gangoli who was so kind and friendly and he kept me informed all the way through the scan which was very much appreciated. I would have no hesitation recommending the service which was A*
c. f.
Thoroughly impressed with the care and patience I received from all the staff at my recent Cystoscopy appointment. I was allowed the dignity of privacy to change behind a curtain and everything was explained fully. I was able to discuss the findings and follow up was explained clearly. Highly recommend.
M. H.
I would like to thank the lovely, friendly staff at Goring Hall Hospital. To start, I saw Michelle and Sharon for my covid test and blood tests. They were very friendly and professional. I was admitted on 9 April 2021 for a knee replacement and was very well looked after by Sophie who prepped me for surgery and took good care of me afterwards. I'd like to mention the lady physiotherapist who started me on the road back to mobility. I saw Michelle again two weeks later who removed my clips. Again, another friendly welcome. All the staff I came into contact with were brilliant.
S. N.
Just wanted to say thank you to the staff that had to put up with me!
I had a hip replacement and my initial anxiety was quickly eased by the attentive, professional and genuinely sincere ladies and gentlemen there at Goring Hall.
From the ladies who provided the great quality food, to the amusing anaesthetist, the wonderful surgeon and the patient physiotherapists and not forgetting the brilliant nurses, I am very very grateful, thank you.
C. R.
Jo and Dr. Jeswani looked after me yesterday whilst attending the hospital for a scan.
They were both lovely and pleasant and totally professional. Thank you both for making me feel at ease and for a job well done.
J. W.
Had my pre-op Today( 14-10-21 ). I just had to say how pleasant Sandra & Juliet were, They were so helpful and no amount of question,s thrown at them they were only too happy to help. I must say I have often had treatment at Goring Hall and found all the staff that have attended to me been of a great help. Juliet really knows her job, she is totally spot on when taking the bloods, as I always get someone who tends to try and get my blood at least half a dozen times and always fails, and this process really starts to get very sore, but not with Juliet. Keep up the good work. Regards Jean.

I am about to have a full Hip replacement and, last Friday had my Pre-assessment at the hospital. This was carried out by 2 wonderful nurses Sandra & Debz. The whole experience was a delight, made better by these 2 professionals, they made me feel at ease about the upcoming procedure which I am now looking forward to having on 11/02/22.
An absolute credit to the hospital.
R. W.
I had my total knee replacement on 6/4 & feel I now have a new lease of life. Thanks so much to Mr Lewis & his team.
Thanks also to:
Deborah who took my calls & listened whilst I waited for my op date.
Sandra who did my pre-op assessment.
Sophie & all the nurses.
Vivian in catering.
Last, but not least, Sue who is helping me greatly with physio.
Overall, my operation, stay at BMI Goring Hall Hospital & post op treatment has been excellent.
A. F.
The very best and sympathetic treatment. Better then any other similar treatments I have had ( quite a lot!)
When having the flexible cystoscopy I was almost unaware of its happening with no discomfort, let alone pain! Thoroughly recommended.

Due to the long waiting list with the NHS, and a sudden devastating illness which has remined undiagnosed for 9 weeks I approached Goring Hall for some self-funded medical expertise, delivered in a timely fashion. I was self-employed and I have been forced to retire early due to my inability to be useful to my clients or even drive a car to visit them. I have been in constant pain, with severely reduced mobility and almost no sleep. It hurts me to admit but I really have felt low, and often wished I could go to sleep and not wake up again.
Today I had ultrasounds performed at Goring Hall by a doctor who has the best "bedside manner" I have ever been fortunate enough to receive. After so many weeks of examinations by multiple doctors, with no diagnosis provided he has managed to turn my mindset around. I still don't have a diagnosis as tests continue, but I am beginning to feel positive, and now I want to wake up tomorrow to receive a diagnosis, and hopefully some relief from the pain, darkness and uncertainty I have had until now. I hope the Hospital can identify the doctor concerned (I believe his first name was Tony) and pass on my sincere and deep gratitude to him.
A. B.
Thankyou so much to Jo and Dr Jeswain. You both were so very friendly and put me at ease today.

Yesterday was yet another of many wonderful visits for consultation and surgery at Goring Hall Hospital.
This time was for a day case surgery and despite the current Covid situation, I had no worries about attending for this appointment. As per the normal standard, it was a warm greeting right through to the discharge at the end of the day. Throughout the care, comfort and attention to detail is second to none.
A totally worry free experience and from the receptionist through to the consultant with the nursing, catering and the Theatre and Recovery Room team every care is given.
A very clean very ample sized room was provided for the day with en-suite facility.
Surgery complete, the Recovery Room staff were brilliant, back to the room and a welcome light tea was provided. Even the discharge process was simple and even accompanied to my waiting car to take me home. What more could a patient ask for.
Thank you to each and every staff member involved with my appointment and day case admission.
I certainly will be requesting Goring Hall Hospital for my next treatment.

I can’t recommend Goring Hall enough. The staff were all so lovely and patient (no pun intended). Nothing was too much trouble for them and they all gave me time and care - they never seemed to be rushing about or too busy to help. From admin staff to surgeons, the healthcare assistants to the Charge Nurse - they were all fantastic and I am so grateful for them!

Following a review with Mr Singh, I was referred for an ultrasound to determine whether I needed a hernia operation. I was given a date & time- written on a compliment slip. (This appointment had entailed a long wait of over an hour without any explanation until I questioned the delay)
Whilst away on holiday in Yorkshire, I was surprised to receive a telephone call asking where I was , as I was due for this appointment. This was 7 days before the date written on my compliment slip. Obviously, the date had to be rescheduled- the person who called me was insistent that I had the wrong date even though I had it written down in front of me.
I rescheduled the appointment for the same day that I had originally been given - but earlier in the day. I took the compliment slip with me to prove this was not my mistake.
I saw Dr M Hookway and Jo for an ultrasound examination on the revised scheduled day. Found both of them helpful & professional.
These appointments are expensive and can be stressful to go though, I am very disappointed that the support for the medical staff is not as good as it should be
M. K.
I had a Doppler ultrasound at Goring Hall Hospital and I found the service provided to be excellent. Denise and Dr Johnston were reassuring and knowledgable, and helpfully answered my questions. And Vanessa went out of her way to help me book the appointment, checking what was required and calling me back swiftly. I really appreciated their helpful and professional approach.

What a fantastic team at Goring Hall hospital!! Had a right knee replacement which I was nervous about. But right from the start with Sarah the nurse I saw at pre operation who was professional & with Dr. Shar who was in charge of the operation team. Simply marvelous!! Now the aftercare team looking after me superb in every way. Even the food offered is far superior to other hospitals! A menu is offered taking into account any allergies. So pleased that local NHS Trust had referred me here!
operated on later in the year

I recently had my pre-op assessment at BMI Goring Hall Hospital. The assessment was carried by Sandra and Chloe who were extremely professional throughout. They were both excellent at explaining what was happening and answering all of my questions. The care I received was first class for which I am very grateful.

Pre-op assessment carried out 21/7/22 by Celia, George and Abir. A great team with a confident and reassuring manner.

I have had 2 cataract operations at Goring Hall and would like to thank
everyone for their care and kindness especially Louise and her colleagues
as well as Jo and the team in the operating theatre. My consultant was
Mr Khin Nyunt who has been very kind and very professional. The only small criticism I have is that I had to wait rather a long time before the 2nd
operation which is not very good for the nerves, Thanks to everyone.
A. S.
I recently had my second cataract operation at BMI Goring Hall Hospital under the care of Mr K Nyunt. I can not recommend him and his team enough. He takes time to explain the procedure before hand and when in the theatre.
The day care team are kind and caring too, keeping me informed about waiting times for both the procedure and discharge. (Think the nurses name was Trish!)
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend BMI Goring Hall Hospital and Mr K Nyunt
H. R.
Brilliant hospital! Service was efficient and great. Granny Vivian from the catering department is an angel. She is such a nice, kind generous, and caring person with a great personality. She made my day with her infectious smile and great energy, which helped to put me at ease straightaway especially, as I did not have any family with me. I feel very lucky to have met her, she is honestly an amazing person.
Gary the consultant is a great guy. His personality is lovely and he is very funny, definitely helped me relax.
All of the staff (nurses, doctors, etc.) are all great and very kind people. Everyone is as very polite and friendly and they all made me feel very comfortable.
Highly recommend!
L. H.
I recently have had both lenses replaced and am very pleased with the results and the care I received. Mr Nyunt was very approachable, explained the procedure clearly and was professional in every way. I always felt in very safe and capable hands.I would like to thank both him and his team, Matt and Fiona for their care.

Went for a Covid test, nurse Sharon escorted me to the consultation room, introducing herself as we went. Facilities are all clean and tidy, test was quickly taken and all explained and executed very efficiently.

I had my Pre -Assessment this morning at Goring Hall and both Emma and Abir were wonderful !! ..Very professional and reassuring , thank you Regards Laurence

I have just had the best medical experience of my life. Dr Jeswani and Jo in Radiology were just so lovely: kind, compassion and intelligent. Thank you both for looking after me so well . . . Tracy

Very pleased with the treatment my 91 year old mum in law received yesterday.
The nurse that did the introductory proceedures was so kind and patient and nothing was too much trouble for him.
The eye consultant and his nurse were also lovely and very positive.
Might be an idea to add bring a pair of sunglasses to the preparation list.
J. M.
I had a hip replacement a couple of weeks ago by James lewis he has been brilliant would highly recommend him so far so good ! However my experience in the ilex ward completely surpassed my expectations they have excellent team of nurses who really looked after me day & night . The physio Trixi was very Proffessional gave a lot of advice and confidence getting me back on my feet and up down and the stairs . Food was very nice as was the lady who did the menus and serving . I was apprehensive in truth but they guided me through the experience which isn’t easy when you are in there alone . No visitors ! Also the pre assessment that was carried out very well by Sandra lots of questions but all needed . I am hoping I won’t need any thing else replaced but if I did certainly James Lewis and Goring Hall would be my first choice .

Visited Goring Hospital for an endoscopy procedure Monday 23rd August, after feeling quite nervous about the day, I was treated by a nurse named Jade that was admitting me, she was very friendly and soon made to feel at ease.
After a little wait I soon had the procedure and was back resting on the ward and was given food and water and a cup of tea. Overall experience was fantastic and couldn’t highly recommend the hospital. Brilliant service and big thank you to Jade for making me feel relaxed. 5 star service.
K. P.
Goring Hall hospital provides expertise and care of the highest order. I had a total knee replacement under the excellent and highly skilled surgeon Mr. Nirav Shah. He and his team of medical staff provided me with high quality care pre and post operation. Although, I have some work to do, before a full recovery, I feel that I have been given excellent support throughout the process, and I cannot thank the physiotherapy team enough especially Stephen and Steve, for their continued help along my journey.

Outpatients department: It was busy for my evening appointment, but Raylin was very attentive and made sure that I wasn't forgotten. I was seen by the consultant within 10 mins of arrival.
Consultation: I cannot praise Mr Sayegh enough. He was professional, caring and friendly. By asking me lots of questions, I felt heard and not rushed.
Radiology department -Efficient and caring: I was well looked after by Denise, who managed to do everyting she needed to do whilst having a lovely conversation with me. Dr Jewison, the radiologist, was very knowledgeable and efficient.
Covid Testing: Despite me being about their 25th person of the day, the nurses were able to keep the atmosphere jovial as well as being quick with the test.
Day surgery: Direct entrance to the side of the ward in order to keep a safe distance from the outpatients department and main reception. Plenty of sanitiser stations everywhere, including at the end of each bed. Staff and patients wore masks. Intake nurse, Gio was friendly and, together with the other nurses seemed to be looking after everyone well.
Theatre Staff: Often forgotten about, as us patients are usually focussed on our procedure or are not aware. From what I saw and remember, they did an amazing job. Mr Sayegh and his theatre team on 5th October (I'm sorry that I don't remember their names), were fantastic, reassuring, gentle and kept me informed about every step whilst I was awake. Mr Sayegh was patient and ensured that I was comfortable throughout.
My experience at BMI Goring Hall Hospital warrants the 5 stars given.

My Pre-Op Assessment with Sandra & Debbi was great, they answered all of my questions and made sure I was thoroughly prepared for my op a few days later.
When I came back the following Monday I was taken to my room and provided with everything I needed. Meghan and Jo took care of all of the paperwork and their attention to detail was very reassuring.
Post-Op I wasn't in very good shape, but May really took care of me and gave me a lot of help the next day.
Georgina and Natasha were amazing in helping me to get back on my feet, so that I could go home to recover.
I can't thank the nurses and staff at Goring Hall enough for everything they do.
I have said it before and I'll say it again, "nurses may not run the hospitals, but they certainly make the hospitals run."

This is from Donna Noakes

I have just had my Pre Op assessment at BMI Goring Hall. I must say this was a very easy and comfortable process. The nurses Sandra and Chloe who did my pre assessment were great. Very kind and understanding and they really made me at ease.

The doctors, nurses and staff at Goring Hall treat you like a person and not a number. Whether you are a referral with the NHS or not they are such lovely people and take very good care of you. I have been there 4 times now for different tests and operations. My consultant Mr Agis is great too. I Would highly recommend anybody worried about going for surgery or procedures at BMI Goring Hall not to worry as they do look after you so much. Thanks to all of the nurses who looked after me today.
S. L.
Admitted as a day patient for endoscopy. An uncomfortable procedure was made bearable by a most professional team of medics. Consultant ensured I fully understood everything and took time to listen to my questions. Everything went like clockwork and my day finished with a comforting mug of tea from the ever-smiling Ally. Many thanks Goring Hall.
K. H.
Sandra made my pre op appointment a pleasure and answered all my questions, providing kindness and reassurance on a day I was feeling a bit anxious. Michelle, Sharon and Ash were excellent support during my Covid test and blood test. As a patient who struggles with needles, they couldn’t do enough to put me at ease and made the entire experience positive. Great Team at BMI! Thank you for your professionalism, your kindness and patient focused approach!
j. H.
I recently had a hip replacement with consultant Mr Narang and his team. From stepping into my room until my discharge the care and kindness was faultless. Georgia a nurse in training was a delight put me at my ease when I arrived , took me to theatre and brought me back. She has a very caring ability. Two weeks later Sharon in the treatment room removed my clips which I dreaded but she instantly put me at my ease. It was a very quick and painless procedure. All this done under NHS. Thank you.
L. F.
Being naturally a very anxious person I was very nervous about my operation. However the team that looked after me were exceptional, they made me feel at ease and were super friendly. My nurse kiera couldn't have been any nicer to me and really looked after me. My surgeon Sebastian adamson was incredible and my anistatist was hilarious. Thanks to all the team for looking after me, especially as my wife couldn't be here due to Covid to look after me. Huge thumbs up 👍

BMI Goring Hall Hospital
The help, care and support I received was “OUTSTANDING”, from the admission staff, the anesthetist, Mr Miles, surgeon and all staff
I would like to particularly mention Joyce who was my main point of contact and a nurse under training, who is in the second year of her degree course. Joyce is a brilliant nurse already, so will go places for sure. A lovely person, extremely proficient, completely professional in every aspect of her profession. Joyce will go to the very top of her career. Thank you Joyce
Thank you all at BMI Goring Hall, Goring, West Sussex

I was a day patient and assigned a bed facing the gardens. Lovely. I was lucky to be first on the list for my operation. So back in recovery by lunchtime. Lovely coffee and sandwich, most welcome. Had to return in the afternoon to redress the wound as it was still bleeding. Mr Ayo, the medical officer and Michelle, the nurse were extremely helpful and added more bandages. Sadly I had to return just after 9pm to have it redressed again. Michelle stayed on at the end of her shift so that she could follow through and replace the dressings. Both were excellent, caring and most reassuring. Thank you so much.
H. B.
My first visit to meet Mr. Shah was very reassuring. All the staff were friendly and very helpful.
Later I met Gemma and Kelly who did a covid test and blood test. They were friendly, kind and helpful.
My experience in the hospital was marvellous. The staff were all angels, from cleaners, nursing assistants, nurses, pharmacist, anaesthetist, Porters, Physios, CROs, Surgeon. It was a very good experience for me. Thank you for making this process so much easier.
J. S.
I had an excellent experience at Goring Hall. I went for my Covid test on Monday with a couple of lovely ladies named Sharon and Michelle. They made me feel comfortable and safe.
I attended as a Day case yesterday and all the staff were brilliant. They were met with some challenges throughout the time I was there and all staff dealt with them in a professional, caring and safe manner.
A. W.
I was treated for a frozen shoulder today by Jo and Dr Jeswani, whilst not a massive procedure any medical treatment comes with its only risks and worries. Both Jo and Dr Jeswani made the whole procedure so easy and stress free. I felt totally relaxed throughout and engaged with both in friendly conversation. A Star from me!
T. N.
I was delighted today at Going Hall for the excellent and very efficient visit. They knew who I was when I turned up at 0800, were waiting for me for my outpatient procedure, the clinic were ready to go, and the procedure took 15 mins. I was happy to be out of there in half an hour. Most importantly all the staff are ready to help and efficient, and Mr Ajis, Stephen King and Denise had a happy light hearted atmosphere ( the pain was all mine of course.) If I had to do that again that's where I'd go.

Hi there
Visited ophthalmology last week for cataract consultation.
Mrs P.Gordon Bennet's team particularly Matt and Rebekah made the whole experience very calm and enjoyable.
I had been very nervous before my appointment, however there was absolutely no need at all.
Thanks and keep up the good work.
J. C.
On 21/8/21 I attended Day Surgery for a right cataract extraction and lens implant. Mr Fook Lam and his team carried out the procedure.
I was very pleased with the whole event from the time of arrival until leaving to go home. All the staff were kind, courteous, pleasant and most helpful. I'm now looking forward to next month when I 'm booked in for the same procedure on my left eye. (John Clark)

Was only At Goring Hall as a day case but my treatment and care was excellent throughout. Liberty was the nurse looking after me on the ward and she was excellent. Please pass on my gratitude. Vivian from catering was also first class and made sure I was properly fed and watered before leaving. Again, please pass on my thanks. Dr Sayer performed the procedure without any discomfort for me so another big thank you to him and his theatre team.

Visited yesterday for an Arthroscopy, from the first minute to the last the staff were outstanding and are a credit to the hospital. EVeryone involved in my treatment were professional and friendly and clearly explained what was happening and when. I was nervous about the procedure but everyone put me at ease. The ward was clean and comfortable. Clear recovery information was provided on next steps. Knee already feels better and looking forward to a full recovery.

I attended Goring Hall hospital for an operation pre-assessment. The assessment was excellent and very thorough. SANDRA was brilliant and explained everything fully to me and completed the necessary checks; bloods, urine, ECG, blood pressure etc. A very positive experience prior to my operation on the 13th September.
My thanks to Sandra and the team at BMI Gosport Hall.
My thanks to the team at the Goring Hall Hospital for their wonderful care during my stay and hernia operation. I cannot thank them enough for taking such good care of me from arrival to departure. Now to recuperate at home - THANK YOU.

I underwent a cataract removal operation this morning at Goring Hall and cannot speak too highly about them. From the initial consultation with my surgeon, to the operation itself, I felt informed and looked after from start to finish. Everybody was very friendly and approachable and I would highly recommend this hospital.
P. S.
Very positive experience during day surgery. Great care from all staff including Vivian from catering.

I saw Dr. Jo Jeswani yesterday 2nd/12 for an ultrasound with a Steriod injection just below my left hip . Very nice & professional man who explained what was going to happen. I was totally relaxed & comfortable & it didn’t hurt at all . I am now waiting few days before I can feel the benefits but if anyone is waiting to have this procedure be assured that is quick& painless but advised not to drive for the following 24hrs.
I haven’t felt where the injection went & all is good .
Thank you Dr Jo Jeswani

Our first visit to this hospital and we are very impressed. Dr Johnston carried out an ultrasound and explained his findings fully which was very helpful. Nurse Jo went out of her way to make us feel at ease and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend this hospital.

I have had several out patient appointments and a day surgery procedure at BMI Goring Hall. All staff from administration to clinical have been professional, accommodating and very kind. The quality of healthcare is outstanding and all clinical staff undertook thorough assessment and followed their procedures throughout my stay. I am extremely pleased with the outcome of my treatment, the communication I have received and my overall experience.

Magnificent!
I had the pleasure of seeing Laura for my pre-assessment on June 23rd she was happy jolly very witty whilst being extremely professional and thorough. Totally put me at ease in what has been a very difficult few weeks for myself.
The young Dr who joined us to take my bloods was equally as lovely.
Ps. Laura how about a lilac bridesmaids dress similar to the one from my best friends wedding? 😉

My auntie asked me to post this review since she doesn’t have access to Google.
She recently had surgery on her foot, and she was dealt with by Mr Ajis, who was extremely helpful and made her feel very comfortable. She also asked me to give a special thanks to Lesley, Sharon and Karen West for the special care and treatment they gave her, as well as amazing aftercare. She said she could not recommend Goring Hall enough.
G. B.
A very thorough and professional Pre-Assessment was carried out by Emma and Jade who managed to answer all my questions and made me feel at ease. Thank you
A. J.
Sandra and Kim were both so kind and reassuring last week (23rd June) at my pre assessment appointment. They put me at ease and listened to my waffle so patiently and made me feel at ease and more comfortable about my major surgery coming up. Debs yesterday (28th June) was so kind taking bloods and doing my Covid test as I was very emotional and she was amazing. Thank you very much 😊.

Pre Op assessment. Juliet and Emma were very helpful and professional. I'm now not so worried about the operation. Thankyou

Attended Goring Hall on 29 December for opthalmic appointment with Mr Nyunt. The care and attention provided by Matt and Lia prior to the appointment was calming and professional and made me feel at ease. Cannot recommend enough the expert care received and the immediate attention to my eye issue..treatment carried out next day..thank you so much

Extremely well looked after by the Theatre Team: Mr Al Singary (Consultant), Dr Howard Wakeling (Anaesthetist), Hazel Geall in the Anaesthetic Room) & those in Theatre One who I didn't see because of the anaesthetic; the Recovery Team: including Polly & AJ; the Ward Team: including Phoebe, Jess, Rafa, Maili & especially Fiona who looked after me so well; & the Pre-Operative Assessment Team: particularly Jackie, Kim & Emma. Thank you!
J. D.
Jo and Dr. Jeswari made me feel relaxed Dr Jeswari was informative
and allowed me to ask my questions. Lastly I would like to say what
lovely ,kindly people they were. If all your staff are like this I will be using your hospital again. Thank you both for treating me as a person. Happy Christmas and a lovely new year.

I had the most professional treatment from Mr Al-Singary and his urology team for a Flexible cystoscopy. I was made to feel welcome by staff nurse Raylin and Blaine who took my necessary details and led me into the consultation room where Mr Singary explained the procedure that I was about to have, clearly in detail without patronising but not afraid to explain the whys and wherefores…the two nurses present were equally empathetic. Once ready, the consultant explained the details of the image on the screen, which I found to be interesting and reassuring…I have nothing but the highest praise for the Urologist. - arguably the best, thank you!

Had my pre-op assessment today (3/12/2020) and was very impressed with the medical staff at Goring Hall and how they monitor the patients going into the hospital. The nurse who did my review, Celia, was absolutely lovely and made me feel totally at ease. I could ask any health questions without feeling uncomfortable, she was very informative and very professional.

Thank you to Martin Dickson, physiotherapist who cared for me following my knee replacement. He gave me the confidence to trust my new joint and build the strength back in my leg. We had fun in our sessions too. Today I have walked 3 miles round Leonardslee Gardens on uneven terrain and feel great. Keep up the good work Martin.

My husband Mr. Brian Burrows attended this hospital for a bladder camera and after having bladder cancer for 20yrs he said it was the best treatment he had ever had. No pain or soreness whatsoever and all on time.
D. L.
After months of trying to get some help from the GP service, I decided to go private for undiagnosed pain problem.
From the first time of stepping into Goring Hall the service was incredible.
Given plenty of time and attention from Dr Stephen Webber who referred me for an ultra sound within the week, Nurse Jo and Dr Tony Jeswani were efficient, kind and took time to explain.
I needed to have further investigations which were booked on the day.
Excellent service which I am sure will continue until a diagnosis and treatment is achieved.
Thank you

Had a procedure carried out under local anaesthetic. The day surgery team were professional and friendly and Mr Caruana was professional and helpful. The theatre team were great. Thank you Goring Hall

Just over 2 years ago I injured my back and had been living with constant pain ever since. After seeing countless medical practitioners, having scans, tests... you name it... I was referred to the physio at Goring Hall. This is where I met Terry. Terry has changed my life for the better. I cannot thank him enough. The whole team at Goring Hall was really good but Terry truly was outstanding. Thank you Terry!!!
A. B.
Nurse Raylin and Mr Al-singary looked after my father yesterday in a most caring and sincere way. Timings were spot on and they kept myself and my Mother informed the throughout the process.

Communication prior to my operation could have been better, I feel I had to continually chase for pre op and details.
However, on the date of the operation the nurses and all staff, particularly Kiera put me at ease. Overall a very good experience and I would recommend the hospital for thr skill and professionalism of the staff. Thank you to all.
N. C.
I was in the day care unit as an NHS patient for some investigation to be undertaken and I have to say a huge thank you for the care I received whilst I was there. My nurse (Meghan) was absolutely lovely and very kind and thoughtful. My consultant talked me through the procedure and all the Theatre staff were very upbeat and made the experience a very calming one. Special mention to Vivian in catering - a lovely bubbly lady who made me laugh every time I came across her. A real Gem. Thankyou to you all.
M. M.
Pre op assessment with Julliet and Dajeela, excellent. Professional but welcoming and reassuring. Answered all my questions and allayed my fears.
Indra and Joyce were my nurses and gave me the highest quality of care. Pleasant, superb nurses.
I received information in my discharge pack that had been clearly intended to be given prior to admission! It would have been helpful to have been given those at the correct time.
I was appalled to find no towel in the bathroom, thank goodness I brought my own!
My discharge notes stated that I refused a call after 3 days, in fact I wasn’t offered the opportunity of a follow up call, which I would have valued. I felt I was discharged in a rushed manner. After being home for 3 days I had several questions but no means of accessing answers. I would have valued some further help with physiotherapy and am struggling.
Quite upset and dissatisfied.
A. W.
Fantastic care for my day surgery (inguinal hernia open mesh repair). I was kept fully informed and very comfortable over my short stay.
The operation under Mr Baig and the anaesthetic under Dr Sweet and his team was clearly explained each step of the way so there was nothing to be nervous about.
Nursing staff on Ilex Ward could not have been more helpful, especially Andrea and Megan.

I went for a scan on my foot and to have an injection for a condition known as Morton's Neuroma which required an anesthetic. I was met by Jo who completed the admin and who assisted Dr. Tony Jeswani who did the scan and injection. They were both really friendly and professional and one of the best examples of patient care I have come across in my 62 years. I then went for an xray and was looked after by a lady with a South African accent (apologies I didn't get her name) who was also very friendly and chatty and made me feel welcome and at ease, which in my experience of hospitals is not always the case! Great little Hospital, and an example to others.

I attended BMI Goring Hall Hospital for a gastroscopy. First off the staff are very welcoming, hospitable and very friendly especially Vivian from catering. She is such a laugh and puts a smile on your face. The procedure was handled professionally, not an enjoyable experience but the staff were wonderful throughout. Thank you.
T. “. C.
I attended Goring Hall as a surgical day case. The whole day was well organised and ran smoothly. I was kept informed throughout the day and the procedure went well. The surgeon, nurses and pharmacy were all friendly and provided clear information.
Covid measures in place, including a pre-op PCR test after which I had to self isolate at home until the day of the procedure.
Not that you go to hospital for the food, but that was surprisingly good as well!
Would recommend.
A. H.
I had my Covid test done on Tuesday along with details taken for my procedure yesterday. Lovely nurses, very friendly and kind. Thank you to Michelle and Sharon. Also thank you to Dr Johnston and Jo for their care and kindness while I had my ultrasound.
R. L.
Excellent treatment in quiet and comfortable surrounds.
Doctors and nurses always so welcoming and attentive.
As regards catering Vivian greets patients with a smile and does everything possible to provide refreshments whenever required.

I recently had knee surgery at BMI Goring Hall and can not rate the team, hospital and service high enough. The pre-assessment team ensured I was relaxed & calm during their process, taking bloods (never even felt the needle!) was a breeze. The admissions team escorting me and orientating me to my room, ensured I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Both my consultant, Mr Shah and anesthetist, Mr Sweet ensured I fully understood the procedure I was about to undertake and any questions I had were fully explained. The Theatre team did a fantastic job, the recovery team of Miya, Arje and Polly were so very relaxing and calming as I woke ensuring I was ok and conscious.... Once back on the wards I was expertly looked after by Joe, Jess and Vida, where no matter what the question or request, they were there to help and support me, from getting me a coffee (a lot of coffee) to ensuring the right medications were taken and I was comfortable and relaxed as could be. The physio team were there to make sure I could get back in my feet and felt comfortable enough to be 'mobile', the kitchen staff also ensured that I had plenty to eat, with a great breakfast in the morning. Upon discharge, Joe again ensured that I had everything I needed from the take home drugs to crutches, with Aaron (porter) helping as I left the hospital.
Overall, the entire team at BMI Goring Hall ensured that what could have been an anxious procedure for me, made sure I was completely and utterly looked after and kept safe and comfortable throughout.
K. B.
I had my pre op assessment predominantly with Wendy. She was really friendly and offered me lots of advice. I felt like I could open up to her and she was very personable. Debz joined us to complete my bloods etc and the two ladies together were chatty and funny. Didn't feel like a visit to a hospital. Would recommend the service

I have just had both cataracts removed & new lenses implanted by Mr Zinicola at Goring Hall.
He reassured me about the surgery & the associated risks, as I had been concerned about having the operations.
Everything about the entire process was fantastic! The staff throughout were welcoming & friendly & strict Covid regulations in place.
Apart from the wonderful surgery & my ability to see properly, I would also like to thank Mr Zinicola’s team of Darryl, Matt, Fiona & Lia who all made me feel comfortable & were so pleasant and happy!
I would not hesitate to recommend Goring Hall & Mr Zinicola to anyone who is considering eye surgery. Thank you!
P. S.
I had to go to Goring Hall for a MRI Scan. The receptionist was welcoming and gave me the relevant paperwork to complete.
After a slight wait I was collected by one of the MRI team. Being slightly claustrophobic I was concerned about being put in an MRI scanner. The two radiographers explained that I was going in feet first. My head would be just out of the scanner and fresh air would be blown around. I was then prepared to be scanned.
Laying in position the radiographer again checked I was OK and made sure my head was comfortable. I was to be wearing headphones because of the scanner noise and I was asked what music I'd like.
She then left the room but twice checked by radio I was OK .
I then heard a warning that the scanner was about to start and we were off.
The scanner noise was loud, like a cross between being on a building site using a jackhammer or working under a car, but a different noise each time. At times the music was practically drowned out by the scanner noise. Between each scan came a message to say how long that particular scan would last.
The radiographer checked a couple of times to make sure I was OK and then just before the final two scans announced them and advised that once complete I'd be done.
Having been rather apprehensive I was exceptionally pleased how well the scan had gone and I never felt a bit claustrophobic. The team at Goring Hall were all very focused on me and my wellbeing, so a big thank you to them. I would highly recommend Goring Hall.
If anyone reading this is apprehensive of these scans there's no need to worry. The worst bit was the music, not original artists probably, and more like session singers on a 1970's Music for Pleasure album. At least the scanner drowned a lot of it out!

I cannot say enough how incredible my care has been. First time in hospital and all staff and consultant have been amazing. A big thanks to all.
L. G.
Today I had to take an ultrasound test because I have been in heavy abdominal pains, and I can only say the experience was extremelly positive. I only had to wait about five minutes before I was led to the room, and both Dr Johnston and his assistant Jo had the best attitude during the whole procedure.
The installations are so clean and so neat, and the Covid safety protocols are all in place, I felt like I was in good care at all times and even though I was given no medicine or treatment of any kind, I walked out feeling better than I walked in, and I really needed that.

I have enjoyed nothing but excellent experiences at Goring Hall Hospital. Simon Palmer is an incredible orthopaedic surgeon. Dr Jeswani and Jo in the ultrasound department are absolutely perfect. Many, many thanks.
J. T.
Dr. Tony Jeswani and his colleague Jo carried out an ultrasound guided steroid injection on my wrist yesterday. My experience couldn't have been better. I was made to feel very comfortable and every step was explained in detail. The procedure was swift and pain free, and already today my wrist feels better than it has for many months. I would recommend the team highly.

I recently had a subtotal hysterectomy at Goring Hall. Dr Pakarian is a fantastic surgeon, kind, caring and very good at what he does. All of the staff were attentive, friendly & caring & I felt very well looked after. Also all the pre op nurses and staff were wonderful too. I would highly recommend this hospital and it’s staff. Thank you 🙏🏻 ❤️

Having surgery is never pleasant, but if a certain Danish brewery did such events they would do it here.
Everybody was extremely pleasant, patient and helpful. COVID times do not seem to have dampened the approach of all staff I came into contact with and my stay was made considerably easier and comfortable than it might have been.
After a recent visit to another hospital (not BMI) I was taken by several aspects how more settled I felt here. Whilst unfair to pick any example as all were wonderful, the subsequent pop-in 'how are you?' from numerous staff was the icing on the cake!

Had a covid and blood test done by two amazing ladies named Michelle and Sharon. Both such lovely and caring people, I was rather nervous to have the tests done and they made me feel so comfortable and calm. Such great workers especially during a time like this and I Thank them for all the work they do.

What a lovely place goring Hall is, so peaceful , the staff are fantastic. I would like to thank Dr Armin for looking after me, such a lovely lady, also the nurses, Gemma, Raylin, Marie and Sharon, who were so kind and helpful, you are truly angels. thank you so much. take care , stay safe. Had a consultation with Mr Nyunt re warts on my eyelids. He was very helpful and informative. Had eyes tested by Matt, also very pleasant chap. Jenny, the nurse/sister in attendance was also very nice. No complaints whatsoever.
K. B.
Went in for my Covid test today, ahead of my procedure on Tuesday and was met by a friendly receptionist who directed me to Debz and then Laura for my test and interview.
They could not have been nicer - lovely people, professional and very respectful of my transgender status. Laura asked if she could interview me after my stay next week (she is the diversity lead for the hospital) to give them some feedback. Such a mundane chore of a Covid test became an empowering and interesting experience. Of course, I'd be delighted to help.
Thank you so much Laura and Debz and perversely, I'm looking forward to returning to Goring Hall for my colonoscopy - go figure?

My husband attended for an x-ray today and was greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. He arrived slightly early but was taken in for the procedure straight away. The x-ray was explained to him and was told the Consultant would telephone him later which he did. This hospital provides a very efficient service.

I have had two successful cataract surgeries at Goring Hall Hospital, my surgeon was Mr Lam. I found the whole experience totally excellent. Highly recommended!
My only problem, my satnav took me round in circles before I asked for directions!

Wonderful staff. Warm welcome. So supportive and professional. Couldn't be happier.

Review update... I am now one week post-op, after having pretty major abdominal surgery, and can't thank everyone who looked after me at Goring Hall enough. The care I received was amazing through from my first consultation, pre-op assessment, surgery and post-op care. Nothing was too much trouble and I could not have been in safer hands. My consultant, Mr Faz Pakarian is an incredibly skilled surgeon and clearly cares passionately for the wellbeing of all those under his care - a special thank you to him and, of course, thank you so much to all those who looked after me.
I received wonderful care by both Sandra and Debz for my recent pre op assessment. They were so kind and professional, answered all of my questions and reassured me with worries I had. Thank you so much.

Particularly May & Keira were fabulously attentive nurses, and I'm sure why I had the best blood pressure reading in a long time. All the staff were friendly and attentive, just what is needing when having a procedure. Thanks very much to you all.

I was extremely anxious about a covid test I had to have ahead of an appointment. Both Kelly and Gemma were fantastic and I would like to thank them for this. They reassured me and put me at ease as I had previously had a bad experience at the local testing centre. They were both professional and very caring.
C. D.
Sandra and Debbie were excellent and did their utmost to put me at my ease at my post op meeting.
I would also like to praise Vivian, who did an excellent job catering. I would like to thank everyone who attended to my needs on the day wards Friday 7th 2021

Went in as a daycase patient for a carpal tunnel operation on my right hand.
Staff were fantastic. Polite, respectful and professional. Made to feel comfortable . Can't fault the whole experience. I wish I could afford for my family to go private for all our health problems . Decided to go private because of poor service at GP's and the long wait in the NHS ( Covid).
P. C.
I had my pre assessment last Friday with Sandra and Hannah, they put my mind at ease and made my assessment easy.
Yesterday I had my Covid Swab and bloods with Kelly and Sharon, I was very nervous but they were so gentle it cured my nerves. Thank you ladies you've made me much more confident about my surgery.
M. J.
I was very impressed with my visit to Goring Hall today and would like to make special mention of Sandra and Deb2? who looked after me. Two delightful young ladies with a very compassionate understanding, Thank you both. X

Had a Gastroscopy performed this afternoon - something I'd been dreading for a while. Delighted to report that all the caring and kind staff who looked after me were superb and me feel at ease. Explanations were given to me with opportunities to ask questions. Special thanks to Nadine, Eddie, Jamie, Jo and Dr Chhaya for making my experience a positive one.
T. C.
Juliet carried out our PCR Covid Tests on Thurs 24th Feb. She was efficient, friendly and put us at ease and is a credit to the hospital.
J. L.
Great experience. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is a due to the rather curt receptionist who greeted me and then couldn't find my name on her list of patients for the day. Once passed 'the gatekeeper', however I could not fault my experience and MRI staff were fab... even finding me some AC/DC to listen to whilst I had my scan.
L.
I came in for an MRI at Goring Hall and was very nervous, and late as I had read my time wrong on the letter I was sent. Despite all this, the two ladies who cared for me throughout this process were wonderful, very kind and explained everything with such consideration. Thank you for making me feel so looked after -I would reccomend Goring Hall for this procedure in a heartbeat.
B. D.
Kim and Kelly were amazingly professional and put me at complete ease to have my Covid-19 swab test. If you’re having second thoughts - don’t . You are in very safe hands at Goring Hall and we owe to the incredible staff there to reduce the risk of infection for staff and patients alike .
S. H.
I’ve had a complete new hip replacement and i can’t thank Dr.James Lewis and his team and all the nursing care enough for their expertise and attentive care.
From pre-op appointments with nurses, physio team, radiology, catering, pharmacy, reception & porters it’s been a very smooth ride, Thank you so much and i am recovering well keeping up meds & physio exercises.
J. M.
I was very nervous about my appointment as I have Asperger's Syndrome and have difficulty dealing with new situations, especially when I am stressed, but the two staff in the MRI department were excellent and did their utmost to set me at ease and cope with the situation. Thank-you very much for your patience and understanding.
S. H.
My husband Alan recently had a hip operation at Goring Hall and from start to finish, including all the pre-op tests and Covid tests etc, the staff were really lovely to him and he felt his whole experience was positive, special thanks to nurses Debz and Phoebe
J. G.
Covid precautions and distancing well-observed.
Having had 2 procedures (a week apart) I can say that my experience both times was exceptionally good.
My grateful thanks to Dr Tony Jeswani and his nurse Jo in the Diagnostic Radiology department who were very professional, sympathetic and efficient.

Absolutely amazing! I'm 32 after 17 months of excruciating hip pain and no one in a rush to help I made the decision to go private.
I had my first appointment with Mr Shah March 30th both him and his nurse (sorry I forgot your name) were brilliant there wasn't anything they wouldn't do to help me and they seem to care about their patients. Unfortunately the xray machine was broken that day so I was told to come back again (I was expecting weeks) 2 days later I came back for my xray and saw Mr Shah immediately afterwards, he had my newest xray aswell as my nhs xrays and mris over the last year. He had them all side by side talking me through everything he saw and we talked about options, it was decided to do a hip athroscopy, i was elated someone was finally going to help me. I was expecting anything up to 6 months wait for surgery but was happily surprised when Mr Shah said first week or 2 in May (this year not next! Wow) I filled out my forms and went on my merry way excited knowing soon I'd have my life back. 6 days later the hospital phoned they have space for my surgery on 17th April just 10 days time, the next days where a whirlwind of pre ops covid tests and self isolating... the day of my surgery all the hospital staff from receptionist to nurses to surgeons where great, although scared I felt safe and looked after, I was talked through absolutely everything by everyone it was so reassuring. Few hours later out of my head from all the meds I had the loveliest ladies taking care of me in recovery even the surgeon came out to say how well it went and he'd see me later to talk when I'd remember. I stayed over night the nurses were great, helpful and (I'm stubborn it takes me a while to admit defeat), I later saw the anesthesiologist who went through the meds side of surgery again with me, physio talked me through getting in and out of bed to the loo etc the next morning I saw physio again and we worked on walking post surgery, then finally sore Mr Shah again he talked me through surgery, said how well it had gone and what to expect while recovering.
Now here i am 26 days after my first consultation and 8 days post surgery and completely amazed at how different I feel, complete recovery is a long process but I can already feel the difference, I have 2 follow up appointments already booked and I can't wait for the end result!!
Thank you all so much you're wonderful and you've give me my life back!!
Sorry for the essay but I couldn't convey my experience in a few words!!
R. S.
Attended 19/05/2021 for pre-operative assessment with Sandra. Assessment took place at the appointed time, Sandra was courteous, friendly, thorough and very professional, explaining the process and timing (there were numerous health questions and obs), putting me at my ease and answering any questions I had.
Thank you so much.
N. H.
I had a 2nd guided steroid injection with Dr Jeswani. He was as kind and professional the second time as he was the first. I was able to get a quick appointment to see him, and on the day everything ran to schedule. He was assisted by Jo who was lovely too. I’m really grateful for his help. He gave me some very good tips about the cricket too! 🙂
J. R.
My visit today was superb and swift and efficient, from reception to departure. I was in for steroid injection and the staff that dealt with me ,Jo and Dr Jeswani , could not have done any more to make my visit a pleasant experience. Well done to all .
Thank you.
John Roberts.

Fantastic, Thank you Mr James Lewis, it’s 17th June and I have just arrived home from having Knee surgery. Everything was 1st class. I must also thank the Nurses, (I am terrible with names but all have a chocolate you deserve it) I do remember Georgia, Who has been re-named Fred 😂 and thank you Phoebe for the excellent food, (she is training to be a Nurse & I’m sure she will be great) thank you everyone. Highly Recommend ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
25th January 2022 (update)
Just a big thank you, 4 months after Mr James Lewis replaced my Right Knee, and 7 months after he replaced my Left Knee, IM SKIING, (if I can find a way to upload a video, then it was filmed video in Vail Colorado 24/1/22 of me skiing)
I am taking it gently, but I can’t believe how good these new knees are, the professionalism and helpfulness of everybody there is truly appreciated.
thank you very much for everything you have done. Also a big thank you to all the nurses, physiotherapy and staff at Goring Hall.

Outstanding service, especially from Michel which she went above and extra mile to make sure I get an appointment with the right doctor, as soon as possible. Merci

Came in for minor surgery. All the staff were excellent and made me feel very calm. Special mention to the catering lady; Granny Vivian who is just so sweet and funny, glad she was there to keep me comfortable.

I saw Rob Purbrick for my final appointment following my cataract surgery and wish to say that all the staff in ophthalmology from Debs who helped with my appointment, Darren who did my initial eye assessment to Lia and Rebecca who were the nurses at my outpatient appointments, the day surgery nurses, Ellen and Nadine, the theatre team and Rob Purbrick who performed my surgery patiently answering all my questions. They were all excellent in the care they provided. Thank you.

I am disabled. I went to the hospital for an MRI scan. From my first contact on arrival all the staff went to great lengths to reassure and help me with my mobility issues getting about the site. Matt and Liz operating the equipment were very kind, helpful and patient with me, as I found it difficult to keep still during the procedure, which spoiled the images and needed several repeats. Overall very satisfied with my visit.
R. L.
popped in today for an ultrasound, as a part of investigating some joint issues in my hands, as usual the reception desk ladies were efficient and amiable through the Covid checking in procedures then on to see Jo & Dr Jeswani for a thorough ultrasound examination with a pleasant chat, which helped the time fly, ending with an explanation of what had been found and the way forward. What more could one want, all in a COVID safe environment, thanks guys, Richard
pre-assement for knee operation today with lots of questions and tests all made easy by Sandra and Debz, friendly & professional, thank you ladies
k. m.
I’ve just attended my pre op assessment and was attended to by Sandra and Irene.
I couldn’t have asked for any better information and advice from both of the ladies.
C. J.
Mostly everyone here was lovely. The most in depth pre-op nurse was too stern though, looking disgusted over her mask when I didn’t know my NHS number (as this is a private hospital, I didn’t think I would need it.) I did find it in the end. She seemed to resent my being there. All the other nurses were super sweet and kind. When I asked for assistance to go to the loo after my surgery someone usually came very quickly to tell me that they would be right back. This was not always the case. I learned to ask for help getting to the loo before I needed it because one of the times I waited 45 minutes after being told that someone would be right back. Everyone was nice to me. I particularly appreciated the catering staff Bethan and Asa, they really made me feel very well looked after. When you have just had a major operation, people like Bethan and Asa being so adorable to you really helps! Overall I would highly recommend this hospital, their pre-op MSSA precautions were extremely strict (I knew about MRSA but not MSSA,) and that is as it should be. It seems to be immaculately clean too which as we now know is vitally important.
M. P.
Had a covid test today , friendly, efficient and very covid safe, Kelly and Sharon lovely ladies and very reassuring, followed 2 days later by a daycare procedure that met all the 5 star criteria from check-in to discharge. Every member of staff was friendly and caring , team work at it's best. Thank you
H. P.
Michelle and Sharon were excellent when proving me with my COVID swab.
Mr Palmer and his team ( Nurse Andrea, physio Stephen et al) were magnificent- I went in for an arthroscopy and the whole process was so brilliantly professional and friendly. Keep up the great work and thank you!
W. U.
I went in for my pre-op blood and covid test and was seen by Michelle and Sharon. I have been feeling very anxious about my upcoming hip replacement, but both these lovely ladies made me feel so at ease. It is a tough job under normal circumstances, but they still had a smile on their faces under the pressures and restrictions of covid. I applaud them and their hard work and commitment to keep us safe and well.
S. S.
Special thanks to Dr Gagrani, Denise, Liz and Matthew in imaging for all of their kindness and patience with me. The only thing that wasn't explained on the initial telephone conversation was that I would be unable to drive after my procedure. I was lucky that I had someone to pick me up after, but for others they may not be as lucky.
S. C.
I visited BMI Goring Hall today for my pre-op assessment. Laura and Debz couldn't have made me feel more at ease. They were throughly professional and ever so friendly at the same time. Couldn't fault the existing experience.
A. B.
Dr Jeswani and Jo both so helpful and friendly, taking time to clearly explain everything and make sure I’m happy and comfortable throughout
C. S.
Visited today for a pre operation assessment which was conducted by Sandra. The whole exercise was detailed and very professional. However there was also a great level of care and understanding which humanised the whole process. The highest of praise is deserved all round.
Second visit for Covid 19 test. Michelle and Sharon were brilliant. Fast efficient and professional service with a caring attitude.

Proper care and attention to covid regulations.
Very friendly.Treatment carried out ensuring little pain as possible.
Dr Jeswani kept me fully informed as to what he was going to do
Nurse Jo put me at ease as soon as she met me and showed concern that I was going to get home safely
Well done Goring Hall

I attended today for COVID swabs prior to surgery in two days. I must admit I was absolutely dreading it as I’ve heard and read about how these swabs are done. I saw Debz and Sharon who did the swabbing. She reassured me by explaining they are all pretty expert now in doing these and it would be okay. She advised me of a simple procedure to help stop me gagging when she did the mouth swab. This did seem to work and I was most relieved and impressed. The nose one was equally ok. I would advise anyone who is worried about having these swabs done to be brave, turn up and let the experts do what they do so well and you will be pleasantly surprised at how easy the procedure is.

I have recently had my eyes done with Mr Nyunt Matt who is absolutely brilliant. I am over the moon with my new eyes! The process have been easy, smooth and stress free and I would highly recommend coming here. Thank you. Tina Hyams.

Such amazing care from everyone at Goring Hall. Polite and endearing staff. Apart from the pain, my stay was like a mini break.
Vivian was very attentive and provided me with some lovely food and drink.

I had an op at Goring Hall this week. I was seriously impressed from start to finish from the cleanliness of the hospital, the pre-op assessment and the op itself, the care was wonderful. Nikki the night nurse on duty was caring, understanding and looked after me so well when I had to stay the night after my op. Thank you so much to the whole team.
D. C.
Delightful welcome from Vanessa and Millie.
There were numerous mask, sanitiser and associated warning signs everywhere to be seen around the danger of COVID (a virus so dangerous you need a test to detect if you have it 🤔)
Next, I had paperwork aplenty (4 pages) to complete. This is a slightly tiresome but highly important chore.
Next: I was then greeted by Matt and given excellent care.
Next: Matt introduced me to Liz and the pair of them were brilliant. Add to that the delight that they have a Spotify account so my favourite music* of all time helped me through a 37 minute MRI.
Overall, they made a slightly nervy experience pretty comfortable.
Thank you all!
*Steely Dan, of course.

Pre-cataract surgery Covid test with Michell and Sharon was a jolly occasion, they put me at my ease. Surgery on Saturday 20th with Mr Lam couldn’t have gone better. The nurses were kind and attentive and they made a good cup of tea and made sure I was good to go home.

I’ve been attending Goring Hall Hospital for four years for treatment for Wet Macular Degeneration. In my case, eye injections were deemed necessary and initially given monthly. Once my condition stabilised and for the last two years the injections have become bi-monthly.
The welcome I get every visit, the care, friendliness and enthusiasm of all the staff is exemplary as is the attention to strict COVID guidelines regarding PPE, distancing and extravagant cleaning routines to even mundane items like visitor seating is extraordinarily thorough. As a consequence, I feel totally safe and well cared for and know my treatment is being carried out highly professionally. I could not ask for more.
All I can add, is well done and thank you to everyone.
P. L.
I cannot recommend this hospital highly enough. My wife had a minor procedure undertaken by Dr. Amin. At each appointment she was seen promptly and efficiently. She was treated with kindness and caring by the nurses (Marie and Michelle) and Dr. Amin who they assisted and she found the whole experience to be positive and stress free. Our thanks to the entire team.

I had a Covid test at BMI Goring Hall Hospital and was seen by two lovely ladies. Phoebe conducted the test and was very friendly and professional in her work. Thank You for a lovely experience.
C. J.
I had an MRI scan at the hospital at a time of Covid 19-induced lockdown. Precautions were apparent, being offered a surgical mask before I entered the building, and I felt as safe as possible throughout my time there, where there was a clear spacing policy and priority markings to prevent people walking past each other too closely.
The MRI team (Liz, Kate and Nicola) were both friendly and professional. I knew exactly what was going to happen, and how long each scan was going to take. They also made sure I was comfortable before the scans started. Covid precautions apparent here, too. Couldn't ask for more.
D. C.
Had a Covid-19 test today the two nurses Michelle &Sharon were wonderful very professional put me at ease all the way through the test and considering the tough times were very funny and extremely helpful, friendly and polite from start to finish even apologising for the swab up my nose even though it tickled and made me laugh. Coming back Monday for a procedure and because of the treatment today I’m not as scared or worried as I might have been .
So Thankyou to all x
S. C.

It is day 4 and I am walking normally without a stick after my hip replacement procedure. I have had absolutely no pain throughout and have, therefore, not taken the strong pain killers prescribed. I would have no hesitation in recommending my Consultant Surgeon James Lewis; he is amazing. Thanks also to the theatre and nursing staff who made my very short stay (one night) a positive experience.
R. W.
The coveted gold star . Awarded to me by consultant ( she says) Laura, in recognition of my bravery and excellence during my pre-intervention ( shoulder and knee) interrogation (assessment) yesterday. So proud.
I won’t mention that I was forced to undress on the pretence of needing an ECG - and why touch my ankles ? And the search for blood - really like a bloodhound unleashed -,thank God for my rescue by the doctor ! And that Pamela encouraged her ! Not even a sweet was offered ! ( Unfortunately I would not recognise her again as she was hidden behind excesses of PPE stuff) - but I will remember - ‘ hello my lovely’
Just hope Mr Narang is in a more sympathetic mood next week ! Great team -
Session two - COVID test. Hmm Saturday morning and clearly the nurses had only just started their warm up . That Pamela was there again ; this time calling herself Kelly.
The usual boring but necessary questions whilst Hannah was circling the room . Once all boxes were ticked, it happened !
Ripping open the swab pack I could see the saliva seeping from her mask onto her PPE covering (designed to coordinate with her uniform).
‘This won’t hurt but might give you a strange sensation !’ The swab sunk deep into my throat, both sides ; but the ‘strange’ feeling was about to happen . The same swab guided up my nostril then Hannah starts to stir, as if stirring a hot chocolate drink ! ‘Is it a strange feeling? She said confidently . I saw her smile through my now tearful eyes. Clearly happy that the tears were glazing over my eyes, she relented !
No sweet, no star - and I was dismissed .
My pain clearly would benefit the next patient as the nurses had achieved their first success.
Great team !
K. A.
Couldn’t fault my treatment with Mr Al-Singary and his team. Everyone has been so supportive, kind and friendly. Would 100% recommend my consultant to anyone!

This is about the covid 19 swab team. Kelly and Sharon (otherwise known as the evil twins) carry out the test with sensitivity and gentleness (they ask you questions then get a stick and it goes up your nose. They twizzle it about too. It goes in about 35mm 😳. ).
Over all a lovely memorable experience.

Been going here as nhs patient for years, and many visits to Day Surgery. I have also taken many people there for appointments. The place is very scruffy...I was told by a member of staff a year ago there was to be a refurb but nothing so far. Admin is ALWAYS chaos, paperwork is generally incorrect,X-Ray never pick up the phone etc..I was in for day surgery a week ago,but they were using Ilex Ward which is upstairs.rather than the usual area downstairs. It was a Friday afternoon...very short of nurses.I had to wander about, twice,to ask for something, barefoot as my shoes were not in my room. No one came when I rang my bell. I have related all this to the manager, who I have spoken to before....not overly apologetic which doesn't help.
A. H.
Excellent. X rated immediately on arrival and doctor rao had assessed it before I had my appointment. Support staff Raylin and Zena helpful and friendly.
