M. U.No sign as shown in pic located by phone! decent value and surprisingly very clean showers etc but admin couldve been improved. Staff are fine, but they treat reservations that don't turn up same as bookings using 1 top bunk in empty room. Also the 4 berth and 16 berth dorms pretty much same thing for £2 u just get own keycard as the 16 berth use one door n share corridor but are still 4/5 bunks a room plus i think 1 gets double bed room to. Themselves lol so.if you're looking to save money just book. Lowest anyway! Don't expect thereee Ritz it's backpackers place, but. Lockers could be bigger too even for budget. Place
It's worth it though for clean showers toilets kitchen and even serve morning toast n tea hehe
H. H.Clean dorms and bathrooms. Easy to find too. Helpful staff on the front desk too. Only negative was the noise from the outside was quite loud when trying to sleep but nothing can be done about that and it was the weekend 😊

C. O.I've stayed at upward of 100 hostels from London to Istanbul, not to mention other regions of the world. This hostel is more of a dingy business than an advocate of communal youthfulness and budget world-travel. It will work for a few nights for the price, not many hostels in Birmingham. The location to transit is ok, but a little industrial/edgy. Seemed like there was a long-term dweller kind of scene there. Do visit Digbeth, but maybe spring for the Air bnb.
T. M.The staff are excellent, so accomadating to various needs and very friendly. The rooms are clean and well cared for, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

C. T.I feel that this place was perfect. The first step i came in, there's was people that come to speak with you, i feel amiable and kinda fit into them, it's make me feel happy. The hostel and the check in counter was separated building but it's just beside.From the train station it's around 0.7miles from walking and taking taxi is 1miles(around 5-6£).Check-in then go to the next building. After I go to my room, I walk around and the facility are better than the last few hostel I had stay before. The showers are great and the kitchen are alright. If you are hungry at night, there's bar and subway around 0.2miles (from check in counter door see at your left there's a small road, turn into right, walk straight until you see the traffic light and turn right, you are there. )oh ya and I booked woman's dorm, its quite although you can heard the music from the bars, I think it's better than sound of the slamming door in the dorms.You can keep your luggage at the counter if the space is available. Finally finished my review and time to sleep. Nights!

Something had happened to me with another guest who thought he could touch and approach me inappropriately in the the hallway at night. I escaped the situation and pushed it aside until I mentioned it the next morning to reception. The hostel took control, had my back and didnt allow that guest to stay any longer.
This is a place that will have your back and value your safety.

C. H. L.Just checked out this morning. This was my first time staying here and been staying here for a week. The whole experience for me was excellent.
1) The main common room is open between 07:00-2400.
2) Free breakfast is from 07:00 till 11:00(Noticed Need to wash your own dishes in the kitchen 😌 please)
3) Check out is by 11am sharp on the day of departure.
4) You can hire a locker for just £5 deposit and you can get it back when you check out.
5) Free coffee and tea too.
6) If I not mistaken check in time was 2pm( Noticed not sure about this)
7)The cleaner will enter the room at 11am to clean the room.
8)No outside alcohol and smoking in the premises or rooms.
9)Very near to Coach Station,Moor Street and Grand Central Station too.
(Hope this informations will help all the people who like stay here.)
This was all my own experiences while staying here and please don't take it seriously.
Lastly what I would like to say here are all the staffs here were so friendly and helpful.
P. H.A really great Backpacker Hostel, a fully functional kitchen is something I don't see that often and 15 bucks for a night with a simple breakfast is a no brainier.
Especially when there are clean toilets, modern showers and a decent bed
K. B.Some of the reviews worried me, but it's perfect for the price. Showers are lush and the toast spread in the morning was super helpful for a hungry non-local. No bedbugs in my bunk, which is my number one concern in hostels. Anything that you need, the staff are really helpful, and you can cook your own meals in the kitchen to save money. Much better than expected.

Pretty standard backpackers - basic, but that’s what you pay for. Clean and tidy, free breakfast - not the best area, not much around and a little uncomfortable at night. Otherwise fine, would stay again.

O.In my opinion one of the best places to stay if you like the lifestyle of sharing with other people, this is your best option, the staff members are very kind and help you in all you need, most of all people live here like a big family and cook together, go together to pubs or other places, the kitchen is big and full furnished, have very good showers and toilet that every day the staff members clean very good. Every day they put one or two films in the common room and if you are looking for improve your English this is your site because you can speak with people from lots of different countries and learn about theirs culture. They have a smokers area with roof for raining days. You will enjoy your stay here. The decoration is very nice and is a very cozy place. They have very good prices and they give you the possibility to stay for a long term if you want. 100% recommended!! Try and you will not regret.
D. C.Cheap and cheerful! my room was very basic though clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast a bit limited (only toast and fruit) but was ok - communal area very friendly. staff REALLY helpful - I got totally lost and they talked me through a route I would never have found :) kitchens and showers basic and it could all do with a bit of paint but its excellent for the price
T. P.Nice toilets and showers, gender neutral (although I couldn't get the shower temperature right this morning). Old mattresses, very basic rooms. Nice common area, free tea and coffee all day, free but basic breakfast (squash, toast, fruit, wash your own dishes). Relatively friendly staff. Location is near the coach station and about 20 minutes walk from New Street station. The area is quite industrial and not particularly pleasant. Very cheap to stay here though.
M. C.Decent enough rooms, basic but not bad. Clean bathroom and warm shower. Breakfast is basic but better than nothing! Location is reasonably industrial but not awful. Be warned - The beds are narrow, so if you're not used to that, it's very easy to hit your head on the ladders whilst tossing in your sleep, as I did, giving myself a mild concussion!
Also, if there is anything on at the O2 Institute, the noise permeates the rooms and can keep you awake (possibly leading to the afore-mentioned tossing and turning).
T. N. N.Highly recommended for budget travellers. Near train/bus stations, can walk to downtown area. Staffs are friendly and helpful. High value for cost. Common room with collections of history/travel/military books. Free hot water/tea/coffee whole day in the common room. Common kitchen for self cooking foods.
J. W.A hostel that absolutely cannot be faulted given the cost. The staff were friendly and welcoming, free coffee and tea are provided until the common area closes, breakfast is provided and storage for baggage is available for just a £5 deposit. In spite of the surrounding area looking a tad seedy, there was never a moment inside the hostel where I felt unsafe or uncomfortable. Highly recommend for those on a budget.
l. l.Excellent hostel with good breakfast and a big screen where you can see movies. Friendly staff and clean rooms. I recommend it also for its location as it is really close to the center and to the bus station. Really convenient if you want to catch a flight in the morning.
L. P.Definitely one of the better hostels I've stayed in. Welcoming, friendly staff with a really good atmosphere in the common room/bar and a decent kitchen. Clean rooms and decent bathrooms with lockers in the bedrooms. Still has a number of weird old dudes that seem to exist at every hostel in the world but that's about the worst of it. Would stay here again.
K. B.The hostel is clean, the showers are mostly warm, the common room is great to meet people, and it's just overall great. BUT the common room closes at 12 right when most people start hanging out. If it stayed open until 2am, would give 5 stars. Location is great as well.

H.I have stayed here 3 times without incident, and I’ll stay there again in the future, but last week, they double booked my room, and I had to stay in one of their hostel rooms, instead of the single room I had initially booked. This room was very hot, but opening a window meant that the very loud bass from nearby club Lab11 made it hard to sleep. I like a dance to Camelphat’s magnum opus “cola” as much as the next man, but not in an overly hot hostel while trying to sleep :P
The people that work here really are delightful, but in future, if you want to guarantee yourself a room, book direct from the hostel’s website.
H. B.A quirky little place to rest. First time trying such and am so happy they allowed me to book after some other rude company fell through (Hatters being bought be Selina who had rubbish customer service.)
Stayed in a female dorm of 6, bunk beds
Welcoming front of house lady, everything clearly explained. Surprisingly clean throughout and having a female only option was excellent. Location in terms of reaching and exploring different part of Birmingham city is brilliant.
Getting back at half 10 and having to creep around the room of sleeping people wasn't that fun. But also didn't want to go to the main reception part because was in a separate building. Toilet was ok, only, did run out of toilet paper. Weren't really given verbal instructions on what to do when this arises. Can only assume speak to the front desk but at the time, I did not wish to. Area seems a bit industrial but easy to access.

I. J.Very nice overall. 6 person room was a good size, and everything was clean. A tap for the toilet room didn't work, but there is another nearby so it wasn't a major issue. Everything was quiet at night. Good value for money.
d.Kitchen closed at 12 midnight. But during daytime, it closes again for cleaning. I had to have my lunch around 20 mins later. My train was at 1:55pm. For rooms, no locker, no individual night light and socket. But showers are great.

M. B.A cheap place to stay and with fine conditions, especially considering the price. Relatively neat and clean, free wifi and simple but okay breakfast. With a "POD" you also get some privacy in your own "box", so the place is recommended if you primarily are looking for a bed to sleep in without having to pay a lot for it.
S. N.This hostel is very clean and smells good, the living room is colorful and nice, the staff is ok, the breakfast too (bread, fruits, squash, coffee/tea/chocolate, milk). I recommend it. The only this was the beds. Not all of them were very confortable.

A. A.So far, so good. This office or factory conversion is very close to the Digbeth National Express coach station. It is also a modest walk into the City Centre and the railway stations. When I have had my FREE breakfast I will update my impression.
M. T.Breakfast was toast with a variety of jams, juice, and fruit. Shower was very odd to operate (3/10 on was the first temperatute i could bear: 4-10 were scalding hot)so if you don't understand yours I recommend moving to another stall. Pleasant common room as well, close to Birmingham Coach Station and walkable to downtown stations.
E.1) I suggest more room for the guests, less beds in a room 2) the structure is old, maybe with something new it would be great
3) I met fantastic people: the staff is nice and they make anything to help you.
4) if you arrive by coach the position of the hotel is strategic
C. S.BCB is easily accessible from the airport either by bus or train. It is also very close from town but the location is a bit dodgy - it is in the middle of a industrial quarter so walking around at night seem a bit too risky, even though I don't know the reputation of the area security wise.
There's free breakfast included which is great and handy - toast, butter, chocolate spread, milk, tea, fruits... Guests can also use the kitchen but as there are no grocery shops around one needs to plan their cheap meals in advanced.
The common room has two areas with TV and sofas for guests to chill. The whole place is pretty clean and well organised. My room was a 6-bed mixed dorm clean and warm (my bed was just beside the radiator so it was even too hot at night), with no lockers and no bedside lamp. I was lucky enough to have a power socket just beside my bed but not every bed had one. The toilets and showers were always clean and organised, I can't complain.
It's good value for money. The only absulte downside is the dodgy location and I only wouldnt recommend it to women coming to the city to party or planning to come back to the hostel alone late at night.
Also, there are no city maps available at the hostel - this might be something with the city council as it was quite difficult to find maps - so make sure you print your own.
D. N.A "vintage" hostel with mismatched & sagging furniture in the common area, a good (but small) kitchen, and decent beds & baths. Close to the coach station but a 15 minute walk uphill to the nightlife area, and there are few restos and no supermarkets nearby. They have a bar, so no outside alcohol is allowed. Ask for dorm #9 which has ensuite showers & sinks (but no toilet) and privacy curtains.
R. B.Doesn't seem to be in the nicest location, near to alot of all night clubs and used needles on the ground outside. Although good if you're attending said clubs. Access is easy 24/7 and they've got a decent communal space with a bar.

A. M.Overall a good hostel. Location could be improved (dodgy area at night, pounding club music through the night), but it could be worse. The rooms were good, beds were already made which is also nice. The breakfast is basic but free, so can't complain. Overall good hostel
T. V.it's located really close to the train station and has many facilities like WiFi, lounge and free coffee and tea. No all rooms have easily accessible power sockets, but there are plenty of them in the lounge.
B. S.A convenient place to stay and walk to public transportation. It was clean and had a fun common room. Not the safest feeling location but we did not have any problems.

M. M.Can't fault it really! It's not the most picturesque hostel and the surroundings look a bit sketchy (Digbeth) but I never felt unsafe and it's really a very convenient location. Can be a bit hard to find at night as the sign isn't illuminated. Nevertheless the staff were super friendly, the place was very clean and there's fruit/tea/coffee available throughout the day free of charge. I would say the female dorm is a bit cramped if it's fully booked + suitcases but the beds are comfortable. Weekends can be noisy at night due to Digbeth's surrounding nightlife but they do have night porters staffed to enforce quiet hours. Overall I'll definitely return!

I don't understand reviews saying no communial area as there was a dining area where you could sit and chat with others?
I didn't know about the WiFi, but I don't trust using bank cards while on public WiFi. So I never tried to connect to it.

It's a bit far from the main road (about 4 minutes from the bus terminal) and a railroad passes right behind it, but the facility itself is very neat and good. 큰길에선 좀 거리가 있고(버스터미널 기준 약 4분 정도 거리) 바로 뒤로 철길이 지나가기는 하지만 시설 자체는 매우 깔끔하고 좋음. 방안만이 아니라 모든 데서 다 와이파이 가능. 앞서 언급했듯 버스터미널이 가까움(버밍엄 기차역 기준으로는 버스 5분 정도. 어쨌거나 걸어갈만한 거리는 아님).
리셉션 포함한 거실도 굉장히 넓으며 조그마하지만 부엌도 있음. 그런데 주변에서 슈퍼 찾기가 힘들어서 식자재 준비하기는 힘들 수도. 어쨌든 머무르기에는 나쁘지 않음.
