Helpful and pleasant staff.
Rectified a problem immediately. …

Amazing place to stay, staff were lovely really made us welcome. Very clean beds so comfy, food was really good. Not expensive to stay 100% would recommend to anyone travelling from the airport :)

Staff were friendly. Room was clean, bedding was sadly tatty and not at all comfortable. Could hear guests in other rooms and in the hallway, sadly people were also making a lot of noise right outside our hotel room so we did not get much sleep during our stay. Shower was nice and hot. Breakfast was basic but ok for a commuter or someone staying for work, beds are double but ideally suited for someone travelling alone as they're quite narrow. It's ok for one or two nights but anything else I'd seek something else. I must say again though, the staff were very friendly and accommodating and it was clean. Free WiFi throughout.

Slow check in - with trainee on her own poor girl. She did really well. Room adequate, clean and comfy. Very draughty window, letting in cold air and noise. Friendly and helpful staff Breakfast plenty of toast and croissants but minimal healthy options. Only plain yoghurt and a berry compote. English breakfast options limited. Both mornings no eggs despite saying supply issues. But this could be resolved after the first day surely??
**Must take token if leaving the car park** not abundantly clear despite a notice at the exit. Token available at reception. Payment for parking is clear and straightforward upon entry to reception. £10 per 24hr period.

Had a wonderful stay here after car trouble. The staff were friendly, happy to assist where they could and were very understanding of our situation. Gemma was an absolute star along with all her colleagues that were on shift during our stay.
Have said we would go back if in the area as we enjoyed our stay with them

Room appeared dated had eaves on one side, I hit my head on it few times.
Electrical sockets were placed in awkward location to access, they should have been near the headboard. No USB sockets which should be must these days.
Friendly and professional staff, great breakfast.

Shame we can only give five stars . First time here , staff excellent both evening and morning room spotless and fantasti to have a controllable heating system. We arrived very late but still enjoyed a lovely evening meal and nice relaxing drink. Nice to see sound control on tv. Breakfast was brilliant. Everything was perfect. Not our first time in a holiday inn never had a problem but this was the best

I've stayed at the Holiday Inn NEC many times for conferences I've attended. Every time the hotel have provided a comfortable stay and excellent facilities for conferences.
I've just hosted my own event and the management have gone above and beyond to make sure our event and guests had a fantastic time that greatly contributed to our successful event.

A bit far from the city but so quiet place with very friendly staff. The room was very clean, with comfortable beds. Recommend it!

We used this hotel for a 1 night stay as it's so close to the nec. Clean, comfortable & very friendly staff. Will use again if there's another nec event

An excellent night. Quiet and comfortable bed an an excellent restaurant and breakfast for a business night stop.
In a good place close to the airport or to reach the North with M6

The hotel is ok if you just want somewhere to put your head down, the rooms are a good size with en-suit and is kept clean but mind you fingers on the stupid door design, the door that goes into the bathroom also serves as a door for the toilet section, if you are not careful when you open the door to leave the bathroom you can catch your fingers between the door and the shower cubicle ! if you like a cooked breakfast and are vegetarian there is very little choice, they will cook you some veggie sausages but there is only beans to go with them if you do not eat egg, they really do need to do more with the hot breakfast choice !! they do have cereals and some fruit though.
I.
Overnight stay with 7 days airport parking for £83. Good breakfast, polite staff, reasonably priced drinks and a comfortable room.

I would just like to point out a few facts regarding this Hotel and it’s amazing staff, service and location.
If you look back over the passed 4 months some of the comments are quite shocking and I think to myself why this is, as previously not being a quarantine hotel and had amazing reviews ????
Most of the poor comments left have been made by persons returning from a Red list country sorry to be so blunt but this is not the fault of the hotel, I understand the frustration of those court out whilst away and unable to get home, however for those that chose to travel when the country was on lock down in the middle of a pandemic (Tuff) the quarantine hotels are designed to protect the majority and not the minority…
Judging by some of the comments and reviews left you would normally be booking into a Michelin star Hotel.
I think not..,
The money you paid to the government as part of your quarantine stay does not go directly to the hotel nor do they receive the full amount in fact they receive a very small portion of this, most of the monies paid goes to many other services and departments so it can providing safe travel back to the UK from a red list country….
All terms and conditions of your stay are displayed on government websites however most chose to believe the facts that they weren’t informed of this,,, (really)
Most expected exemptions for some very pathetic reasons I’m sorry not being out to go home and feed the cat is not one of them.
I could rant and rave all day long about how I’ve seen persons returning to the UK treat members of staff in several hotels in an appalling manner..
This is beyond the hotel staff control and terms and conditions of travel back to the UK are set by the government bear this in mind next time you’re having a go or slating somebody just trying to help so you can get back home safe.
On a more positive note the hotel is located in a prime location near to most major motorways to be heading north or south,
The hotel staff are friendly and approachable and will try their best to meet your needs.
Rooms are clean and tidy with excellent hot showers, Tv with free view, free WiFi, and USB charge socket, tea/coffees kettle and an iron with board also provided.
The rooms have heating and Aircon with instructions however if your unable to operate the display hotel staff will assist.
The hotel has a great selection of food choices at meal times and they Will try their best to accommodate any specialist needs such as halal, vegan or persons with food allergies.
You also have the option of ordering out, this will be delivered to your room on arrival.
This is not a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hotel however I’ve stayed in a lot worse and been charged for a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️..,
Keep up the great work guys and girls 🥰

Very pleasant staff especially Damian who went out of their way to check us in early. Rooms really adequate with nice comfortable beds.
K. P. (.
Beds aren't that comfortable but the service is excellent in the bar and restaurant definitely will be visiting again if in the area
j.
Only slight problem was with car parking machine probably ok if used to it . Staff in reception were helpfull and pleasant . Evening meal choice was limited but was provided in a reasonable time .

The hotel is clean and have amazing staff. It is also close to the train station and most side attractions
e.
Chose the hotel for the location. Room was clean. Beds were super comfy. Great breakfast choice.

A great hotel and do easy for airport parking.. the hotel is clean and the staff very friendly and helpful.. this is an excellent place to stay if you are flying out of Birmingham Airport
I. S.
Basic but very clean beds and pillows very comfortable. Breakfast good
C. R.
Clean hotel, but breakfast was quite poor. The bed was also very uncomfortable.

Good place if you want to stay out of Birmingham. Lovely english breakfast in the morning with ample option of Vegetarian and gluten free.

The overall view of the building as you enter the sight is good the entrance is canopyed so you won't get wet going into the building on a rainy day, the main gate is secure, that's on exiting the sight ,for that you will need a pass token on leaving the sight, so if your based their for a few days then you will need a exit token for each day you need to leave the sight to go about your business while you're there .
Their is also a secure gated exit and entrance along the same road that goes past the hotel and on the other side of this gated secure barrier is the pub called " the little owl " nice place for a beer or a meal, you can sit outside if you want and eat or sit inside it's all down to the weather, if you're out side you will hear the sound of the jets engines but it's not loud same noise level you get when someone starts their car and you're inside a house with double glazing ! .
To get too this pub you come out of the main entrance turn right and walk about 10 to 20 metres.
The hotel has basic facilities for when it comes to food it's not shabby it's just not a restaurant with a full catering staff .
The hotel room is the same just basic and theirs nothing wrong with that, there's no room service but you can order in meals from a local take a way but you do have to go down and collect it your self or you have to go down to the restaurant/reception and order your meal and take it to your room your self .
Overall if you're not fussy it's okay the day core is okay a bit dark but basic, it's a good place to go if you need some were too sleep for the night or a place to stay for a few days.
Lots of access to major motor ways and to Coventry and Birmingham city and Birmingham airport and Birmingham NEC and the west Midlands,so it would make a good base for some one how has come to for business or to stay to take a flight to a destination the next day. 👍😎

Not a bad hotel and staff are friendly and accommodating. We're a family of on Day 8 of our quarantine period. The biggest complaint is regarding the kitchen. Almost every meal has been missing items and often dinner is late. We have two children and need the meals to accurate and timely during these very difficult times. An app should be set up so guests can chose their meals and delivery time rather than relying on broken telephones....
I.
I stayed at the hotel at one of my first business trips post lockdown and both the service and room were as I would expect from IHG. I’ve stayed before and will do so again hen at the NEC I’m sure
P.
Comfortable friendly and clean hotel located close to NEC, it would be useful for a bus to the NEC and/or a more direct path to walk to it.
L.
We booked a family room for 2 adults and a child and were pleased with how clean the hotel room was. There were clear signs and expectations about social distancing. The staff were quick to provide anything that we requested. Breakfast in the hotel was well organised and there was a good variety of products.
S.
Very good hotel staff fantastic big shout out to Naz helped me all the way. Very clean and well kept.

Nice clean room, only average shower with not much power, however made up for the shortcomings by having a really peaceful and quiet night

I did my 10 day quarentine at this hotel. The room was fine..... but the main thing for me was every single member of staff I spoke too, from the moment I got on the bus at the airport to the hotel, they were so helpful and kind, especially when working under pressure, with so much going on, and dealing with some very rude people, they all stayed understanding and polite. They gave light in a quarentine situation. So thank you to you all.
The only downfall was the food. Dinner was fine, but breakfast and lunch choices remained the same the whole 10 days I was there. So I stuck to cereal and skipped lunches. Not the end of the world but not great for the amount of money the government are taking.

We checked in 11th February, the gentleman who checked us in was so friendly and helpful. Would definitely book again

Good value for money, but nothing amazing. Most parts of the room clean, eg bed, pillows bathroom. However, parts were completely filthy, eg, on too of the hair dryer was so many small hairs. Probably someone that's shaved and it hasn't …

Oh my God. Literally loved every night I stayed! The beds are so comfy! The rooms are so clean! My room was spotless every day! (Stayed for 5 days) I think it is a little pricey in terms of food available. It's cheaper to go to the pub next door but for convenience it's alright. The breakfast was a typical British buffet breakfast.fast food buffet English style fry up. It was okay but got a little boring after a long stay. Overall though for me it was about the sleep and I would defo stay here again! The (front of house/reception desk) staff could have been nicer, I felt like a number. But the cleaning/waitress staff built more of a rapport with me than front of house did. I appreciated that. All in all the comfortable beds made it 5 star!!

A very well located and lovely sounding. The staff is amiable and very friendly. I definitely recommend this Hotel to all those who want to enjoy their stay or holidays in the UK 🇬🇧.

Very nice helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast very good. overall couldn't fault it.

The Electric Charger worked a treat and a really friendly man served us a nice coffee while we waited.

Overall the hotel is good and in great quiet location. Rooms are nice size and WiFi facility is also good throughout the hotel. Only thing that let’s this hotel down is the breakfast options. The breakfast comment may not always be the case as my experience is based upon During COVID..
J. M.
Mixed feelings. Good things first. It's very cheap, clean, rooms are fine and lots of TV channels. Breakfast was well organised considering the covid situation
However on our visit there was only one draught beer available. Bud light as well unfortunately and the fridge was almost empty. It stayed like this for 2 days.
They ran out of milk at breakfast.
We asked for the sheets to be changed and they forgot so they dropped some off in the evening for us to change as the cleaning staff had finished.
We didn't eat there as the jacket potato was £12.95!
Would I go back... Not sure
A.
Staff very aware of keeping guests safe. Breakfast was take away style but good and I chose to eat mine in my room. Bathroom and room spotless, if a little tired decor. Comfy bed and pillows.
Spoilt by other guests not wearing masks.

Brilliant and would definitely stay again.
Very clean and super helpful staff.
Thank you

Nice hotel. Bit far from other places and requires a car or taxi. Car parking is expensive.
T.
Clean, tidy. Staff very polite and informative during COVID-19.
The sofa bed was not very comfortable which my daughter slept on, could do with replacing. No information about the free parking on offer during our stay. Overall though a good stay with a lovely little pub next door.
C. J. T.
Stayed for two nights whilst working nearby. Great space for a working trip and well worth every penny. If you are in a rush there's grab bags for breakfast and secure parking for trucks on site. Rooms clean and comfy. Bar for post work beers what more could you possibly want?

Holiday Inn Express ...Doing a great job under pressure.
I'm in day 6 of Hotel Quarantine at Holiday Inn Express, Birmingham Airport.
Room lovely, and staff friendly.
The hotel is probably at 95plus% occupancy. They're generally doing well, and are generally well organised. (Especially during these trying circumstances.)
The let down is their kitchen - the food has been pretty awful, plus have had meal mix ups. Food allergies and preferences were discussed at check-in, yet it seems to have been disregarded in the kitchen. Any disappointment has been on the catering side.
K.
Our recent stay was okay... Very helpful and pleasant staff with a swift check in.
The room was relatively clean but felt dated and dark. Most certainly in need of …

Nice hotel and friendly staff. The lobby was big and a nice place to relax in, if you don’t want to stay in the room too long. Only, travelling to the the nec or train station is not convenient as I had to take a cab every time. It would be great if a shuttle service was available like what the holiday inn airport has.

We dont use hotels that much as we usually stay in our touring caravan. Having spent the night in the hotel we may now change our mind as the value for money was very good and all the staff at the hotel were very kind and helpful. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Very nice hotel close to the NEC. Staff were lovel and the layout of the hotel looks really good. Check-in was quick and easy. It's such a shame that you have to pay for parking at these hotels. Our room was clean and spacious. We only had enough items for one cup of tea each (there was 2 of us) and the kettle didn't switch itself off!! We informed them the next day and were told they would replace it. My single bed sank in the middle so I didn't have the best nights sleep.
There was a good variety of breakfast options and a lot of space in the dining area. Check out was just as easy as checking in. The guy working the desk was most helpful.
Resort world is a few minutes away and the town centre 20 minutes, both by car. Great location for us.
O.
Very clean rooms, easy to find. Beds are very comphy and pillows soft. There is a pub next door that serves foods and drinks, good value.
Breakfast is a bit chaotic, as seemed that all people came for breakfast at the same time. Was very busy.
Very close to shopping centre.
Very good experience.
Would recommend.
