Always good. Car parking easy to sort, fiver for city centre which is good value. Room spotless, good powerful shower with loads of hot water, comfy bed.
Lack of menu items but the evening meal and breakfast spot on.
They work their staff hard here, but they're super friendly.

I stayed on the 17/02/2022 to the 18/02/2022. My stay was very lovely. My room was clean, the bathroom was spotless. I enjoyed my food, the chefs are amazing. One thing that didn’t make this a 5* review is the fact that I saw an older lady with blonde hair shouting at a younger lady with long brown hair. I was trying to peacefully enjoy my food, but this couldn’t be done because staff members have their own drama going on. I would appreciate staff having these conversations away from me, I do not need to witness someone get shouted at while enjoying the stay I paid for.

Decent Premier Inn. Liked the large shower head. Water temperature was great. Noticeable dirt around toilet hinges, otherwise all clean. Bed and sheets comfortable. Window and air con did the job. Plenty of parking available on site on my visit (pay to park). Intermittent free WiFi. On site bar/restaurant was good, nothing particularly special. Steak with surf and turf option turned out to be 3 prawns on top. Would stay again if working in area.

With Premier Inn you tend to know what you get. And the standard of the staff here , along with the cleanliness and comfy beds are A1, but the hotel is tired and falling apart in some areas.
Bathrooms are old, showers heads rusty, carpets old and frayed.
I know they go through a refurbishment program so I would imagine this one should be due soon, if not then its one I wouldn't use for a while.
Again breakfast staff were great and the poached eggs were cooked to perfection.👌🏻

Our stay really was made by the staff. Sabrina checked us in after hours on the road, the room was lovely and clean and cool (very sunny day). We requested extra towels and they were given to us straight away as well as rescheduled breakfast to later on. In the morning Sabrina was on again and working with Tia in the restaurant. The customer service from both these woman was excellent. Great location just off the M6, food was great and service excellent. Will definitely return.

Clean and pleasant room as expected with Premier Inn. Staff very helpful.... especially restaurant. Very close to city centre. Value for money.
S. C.
Staff good but building needs a bit of maintenance, bit dog eared. Certainly not up to normal Premier Inn standard. Stay at a different Premier Inn is my advice

A bit difficult to find, as the sign is slightly tucked away.
We checked in late at night, pretty smooth process.
And paid £5 for the parking overnight, ample of spaces to park which was the main reason we chose this premier inn instead of the one on Broad Street.
Sleep was comfortable, woke up a few times due to a baby crying in a neighbouring room…that’s just baby’s for you testing how sound proof rooms can be.

Good place for stay… stayed there for 10 days… neat and clean rooms… Staff is helpful and polite..

I use premier Inn quite frequently throughout the year as I trust them. Some inns are better than others but this one was definitely top notch with great staff. So my mum and I stayed here on 20th January 2022, to watch the opening night of strictly tour. We had a bit of a bad start as one of the rooms that I had booked was already occupied, my mum was running late, then when she did turn up she realised that she had left all her luggage back home including her medication. However Tia, the receptionist was fantastic, she made sure I was put into another room straightaway, gave us free breakfast to apologise for the inconvenience, told us that they would do every they could to make sure we still got to the show on time even rushed our food through and prioritised us. If it wasn’t for Tia and the rest of the team that night my mums Christmas present would’ve been an utter disaster. If Tia isn’t a manager or team leader yet then she certainly deserves to be made up to one. It was clean, tidy and great friendly staff if I’m ever in Birmingham again this is where I’ll be staying in future.

A typical Premier inn. They are always excellent. Great safe location for Birmingham attractions. The staff were great.

Good premier inn within 5-10 minutes drive of Birmingham City Centre. Good for for breakfast and dinner as usual.

Close to centre, staff great.. Only not marking as 5 as no irons where available, which is a must for travelers
K. P.
Can't fault it. Easy to get to and within walking distance from the city centre.

Close to places I wanted to be. Quiet, away from noise. I would definitely stay again

Great value for money - but be prepared to pay for the car park and the birmingham clean air zone! Got a nasty £60 fine when I arrived back home!
D. J. I.
We had a great sleep as always in the Premier Inn, however, our room had an awful stale smell of damp and there was poo stains on the wall next to the toilet. We cleaned it up for the next visitors. Great price! £5 for overnight parking which was a hidden cost.
t. b.
Good size rooms food good and drinks reasonable priced and only coat £5 to get to trains station

Does exactly what you’d expect. Clean rooms, friendly staff and a central location. Food/drink very good value and reasonable quality. Lots of parking at a reasonable price.
S. H.
The staff were incredibly helpful at breakfast (I did not dine otherwise) and could not do enough for me.
Disappointed I could not have a delayed exit as I was in between night shifts, but I guess the staff couldn't help that, although management could, its primarily their responsibility to ensure guests satisfaction. I'm pretty positive all the rooms weren't cleaned at exactly 1200 hrs.
R. J.
Room was nice and clean, the staff was helpful and nice, breakfast was lovely well worth the money. Was nice and easy no waiting around for the room to be done we was in are room and out the room. Would come back and stay again. The place was nice and clean and tidy.
S. M.
Room was clean, kingsize bed was very comfortable, staff are pleasant and helpful.

Very comfortable. Good night's sleep. Staff always very pleasant and helpful.
G. M.
Pretty good, well done guys.
Great staff
E. B.
Visited here yesterday to have breakfast with my parents before they went home. The dining room was well set up to ensure social distancing so we felt safe. The food was really good, I actually prefer the way they are doing the breakfast compared to a buffet style. The food is fresher and hotter. The staff were really friendly and attentive. I didn't catch their names but there was a young man and a young Irish lady.
S. B.
Very helpful staff, very welcoming, rooms clean, quiet, basic but as would expect in the price range. Ample onsite parking £5 a night. About 10 minute walk to city centre area and also nearest shop. Very easy to get to from the m5
B. M.
Location was not ideal but better for parking than others. What really made it great was all the staff were exceptional; thank you.
M. O.
Would have given it 5 stars but I had long dark hairs on the shower wall.
G. D. s.
Rooms are fabulous but I couldn't get breakfast or anything to eat there due to covid-19 rule but the receptionist is very helpful
S. p.
Fantastic room and staff. Evening meal and breakfast highly recommended.
D. T.
Okay - food decent and standard of bed decent.
M. W.
Fantastic service at this hotel. Stayed Saturday night with a large Irish family group. Team really looked after us. The manager was fantastic, so was the lady on reception and she also served on the bar. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel itself was tired but it was very clean, it is what you expect of a premier. It is having renovations in March according to the manager. Would definitely go back.
S. S.
Clean and comfortable ,staff amazing working so hard to please everyone and doing a very good too in the circumstances , its not the staffs fault they havent got everything on the menu or the right beer so give them a break watch the news the whole countrys like it 10/10 for you all great job made our anniversary stay premier inn you should be proud ...thx again

Really lovely room, accommodated my family and I really well. Lovely bathroom with complementary shower gels and soaps

This review is for the two guys working on reception on 01/09/2020. I suffer with medical issues including sleep apnea which requires me to have to sleep with a CPAP machine. Whilst the guys couldn’t assist me with an extension cable (I should have brought one with me but suggestion for hotel to possibly keep one in case of future occurrences) they went out there way to help me and make me feel comfortable offering to move us rooms if we wished, provided us with extra bedding/pillows to use on the sofa bed.
Very friendly and professional guys! Keep up the great work! Asset to the business and as a manager these are the kind of guys I’d want on my team!
Looks dated outside but don’t be fooled, secure and safe parking and new decorated rooms.
G. O.
Very nice and modern hotel. Friendly staff.
The food was very good and they served us even we arrived almost at closing time.
C. S.
Yes the room was good the food was amazing the only complaint I had someone was knocking on my door at 11.30 then 2 I didn't answer it so I didn't get a brilliant sleep thanks my room number was 108
A. A.
Didn't give the right type of room with the sofa bed but still was a decent experience. Ashley was very helpful. (Allahumma yahdeehi).
T. M.
Room OK. Need more than1 member of staff at booking in as rather along wait at the bar.
S. H.
Clean tidy hotel what more do you expect.
S. W.
Loads of rooms, secure parking and a good restaurant. The room I stayed in was spacious, nicely decorated, comfortable and stylish. Great shower with a big head, big TV and good climate control. The bed was comfy and the room was quiet even though it was next to the main stairwell. Breakfast was self serve (apart from poached eggs) and you can pretty much load up whatever you want. Good selection of hot and cold, fresh juice, smoothies etc. Staff were friendly and polite and the whole place is spotlessly clean.
K. P.
Can't fault it. Easy to get to and within walking distance from the city centre.
D. M.
Rooms are kept clean and have air conditioning. Friendly staff, the Only negative is they make you pay for parking £5 per Day
K. Q.
Good spacious rooms. Good friendly staff.
N. C.
We had a great night in Birmingham and the Premier Inn was fabulous as usual 😀
T. J.
Excellent service and staff friendly polite helpful. Stay at numerous premier inn it my favourite hotel. However, on this occasion very disappointed with breakfast including waiting time and the evening meal menu was disappointing.
A. R.
We're a family of 6 and were looked after extremely well by Carl and the rest of the friendly helpful team. Connecting rooms sorted especially sorted for us nothing was too much trouble and our four young daughters were spoiled. Made our short stay thoroughly enjoyable thank you!
P. B.
Premier Inn stay from 06.10.18 to 08.10.08. We were welcomed on Saturday afternoon by Jade C and the environment was clean and quiet. However it was a bit of a walk from the lift to the room I imagine this is down to when you make your booking. The room itself had adequate facilities. I am not able to comment on the food as we did not eat there but we did make use of the bar which was sufficient for our needs. I have stopped there before and will stop there again overall rating good.
S. C.
Literally could not ask for better hospitality ! We felt so welcomed , having travelled down from London for a concert we wanted somewhere quite out of town which was perfect for us .
The rooms seemed like they have been recently refurbished and really well presented .
The lady who greeted us on reception was the most kindest women ever ! And genuinely made our trip . It was my friends birthday and the lady came up to our room with a card and a box of chocolates honestly what a way to start our night off in Birmingham so so kind !! Thank you Sara !
I can’t recommend this hotel enough for a pleasant short stay ! Thanks all at premier Aston hope to visit again soon
D. C.
Quite a large dining and breakfast area to the side of reception. Staff helpful, rooms have air conditioning and a small window if needed. USB charge points by the bed are a nice touch. Good night sleep, nice comfortable beds. Car park on site, small charge of £4 for each day's parking.
C.
A great Premier Inn with very reasonable pricing.
The reception area is quite small and looks a bit outdated but the rooms make up for it. The staff are helpful too.
There is a restaurant and bar here which serves a great selection of drinks and some very nice ales.
We didn't try the food as we thought £10 for a breakfast was quite expensive compared to other places.
The rooms we stayed in were very spacious and modern looking. The beds were also very comfortable and we had a great night sleep. Will definitely be coming here again!
H. S.
Spacious double room, good customer service.
L. B.
Located in what seems like an industrial estate, in the immediate vicinity there isn't much to do. You are in the canal easy which is really pleasant for an evening stroll. I've stayed on the ground floor, first and second floor of this hotel. The room in the ground floor was nicer than the others. I think there is a new wing to the building. The restaurant ladies are very helpful and engaged. It is usually busier Monday to Wednesday and then calms down later in the week. The menus are the same at all premier inns and they only change seasonally. So if you're there for an extended stay, you may become a bit bored of the same menu. The rooms are ok. The beds are very comfortable, pillows fair and the shower is powerful. Pretty much all you need. Lastly, though there is a car park, it is chargeable.
C. K.
Cannot praise this hotel enough !
We stayed for 3 days , the rooms were spotless and really comfy .
What really stood out was the staff , nothing was a problem, they were so attentive and obliging .
I would highly recommend
J. k.
I must say really enjoyed my stay here family room was very big and very clean. Had a very good night's sleep. The bit I liked was the breakfast it was cooked to order as we was early so fresh and very good quality probably the best breakfast I've had from a premier Inn. The staff in the breakfast room were great and very friendly. Would certainly stay there again.
E. F.
Room fine, staff very friendly, food very tasty but service was quite slow.
G. C.
First the Pros
The location is excellent. Just a couple of mins from the motorway and easy to find.
The price at £34 per night for family room is the cheapest I have ever paid for a Premier Inn.
Staff were helpful and friendly.
Now the Cons
Upon a arriving in the room their was a smell that I can only described as a wet horse. After a couple of minutes we got used to it and I'm not saying it had a major impact on our stay but was simply not pleasant ever time we entered the room.
There was a rather unattractive stain on one of the seats and paint work in various places was cracking.
The restaurant is very small so it's vital to book.
Overall it was perfectly fine to stay in and the price was excellent but the large number of small negatives is just not what I expect from a Premier Inn.
R. P.
The bed service was great. The food tasted great. The only problem was the fact that they were short on staff. On the first night we waited 2 hours for our food. And on the second night one of the staff members grew impatient with my grandma and spoke to her with an insolent tone because of this problem. Other than that, everything was fine.
T. T. (. E. B.
Second time in a month we've been here. Lovely clean and upkept place to rest your head. Great staff.
J. E. F.
Was okay. Bed was okay and was comfortable. Was fairly quiet. The only thing wrong was that the room smelled strongly of paint fumes. I'm allergic to these, and both of us got headaches and felt off the entire time we were in the room. Outside the room we were fine.
D. Y.
I've stayed here before and wasn't impressed, but I needed to stay in the area again so gave it a second chance. Let me start by saying the room isn't the problem, so if you only want a place to sleep, it might work for you. If you want decent security, and a restaurant for dinner and /or breakfast, maybe go somewhere else. The restaurant at this location is poor. I avoided it for dinner (after my experience last time) but had breakfast, and the service was very very slow, even with few guests in the restaurant, and even a humble bowl of porridge was poorly prepared. I like premier Inn because of the consistency, but I wonder if the standards are slipping
V. W.
The location was good, a 15 minute taxi ride from New Street station. It's a walkable distance to the city centre, around 25 to 30 minutes. The rooms are spacious, clean and all equipped with a tv, hair dryer and brew making facilities. There's also access to irons and ironing boards if required. My only critique is that it is not very sound proof. I could hear people walking in and out of their rooms, but thankfully we were towards the end of the corridor so not everyone had to pass our room. In the early morning I could also hear the neighbouring room's phone vibrate and their kettle. Besides the noise, the hotel was great and I would most likely stay here again.
H. N.
Usual standard for a Premier Inn. Good rooms and decent breakfast. The staff were super helpful too.
I needed to make some visits the next day and they made extra effort to ensure my parking was validated for another couple of hours.
The bar also opened a bottle of red for us and offered us glasses too.
Not exactly a glorious bit of Birmingham but close enough to the football grounds and Aston uni.
E. B.
Enjoyed my stay, rooms were clean. Bit of a shame to be harassed at breakfast due to only being charged for 1 breakfast when I ask 3 times for 2 breakfasts to be added. And told 'make sure you do it properly next time' when in fact I had stated more than once to the lazy female receptionist who clearly didnt want to go to the effort of doing what I had asked properly. Lucky after my moan they had given the breakfast for free due to the inconvenience.
r. L.
Friendly staff, very helpful.
j. l.
Rooms as expected, styled as a normal premier inn. The restaurant attached was lovely, food was nice and breakfast hot and plentiful!!
There is a Costa coffee machine and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Desk was not always manned, took a while to check out as the pager attached to the desk bell was also on the desk....
M. R.
Probably the best breakfast I've had at a premier inn, it's been cooked just the way I like it (actually cooked). Really friendly and helpful staff. Room is pretty much consistent with any Premier Inn.
C. S.
Very happy with room. Bed comfortable. TV was good quality and we used a lot of the functionality of it (screen share) and most of all the hdmi auxiliary (first time I've seen a hdmi aux wall socket)! Why all hotels don't do it I don't know! Shower was also very good. Food was nice (3 children and only paid for 2 adults for breakfast which was a nice surprise!) , staff were very polite and helpful. All in all brilliant.
J. N.
Normal premier Inn experience, comfy bed etc. Would prefer light option for breakfast though. £7.50 each if you only want toast is a bit much. Location a bit out of town, 30 minute walk from Briefly place along, at times a very dark canal tow path was interesting. Get a taxi!
C. F.
Good value. Rooms spacious, lights all over the place, plenty of power points, can make tea and coffee. Bath, shower, plenty of hot water. Food in restaurant varied. I had the lamb kofta starter, it took me back to the holiday taverna in Greece. Staff helpful.
V. R.
Staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Choice of meals in the evening are good, only downside to our stay was the breakfast the full English was luke- warm because it was kept under a heat lamp and not cooked to order. If cooked to order it would be a hugh improvement.
Z. G.
Decent enough. Had everything that would have been excepted. My only negative is the blankets dont regulate heat properly and found myself very sweaty at night. Otherwise would have been 5* review
N. M.
Brilliant hotel.
Sparkling clean.
Comfy bed.
Staff more than helpful when needed.
Very attentative.
Will be returning.
S. B.
Staff were very helpful. I ordered the Lamb Rogan Josh, I'm not a spicy food lover. Too hot for me couldn't finish it. Finished off with Sticky Toffee Pudding...yum! English breakfast filled me up weren't hungry for lunch at all. Delicious.
S. W.
Staff are helpful, rooms are comfortable.
Breakfast can be busy, but is the best quality compared with other Premier Inns.
Caparl can get busy so beware.
However it's a great location for city centre, M6 and yet nestled in a very neighborhood.
A. S.
The room is lovely and clean and (just like the TV ad says) the bed is AMAZING. I also do not mind paying for the car park which is spacious. However I would like the parking to be paid for at reception, not by queuing at a ticket machine in the foyer!
D. H.
I was passing by in the morning and fancied a coffee. Walked in and asked how much a coffee was. The staff was very kind and she just said to go grab one and find a comfy seat. If I ever need to stay in this area. I would think of this place first!
r. h.
Staff are really friendly and helpful, seemed genuinely to enjoy what they do also, best staff I've come across from this chain. Despite the noise outside the rooms are lovely and quiet as well. The food was nice as well. Not exactly cheap but still worth it the whole experience. Close to the centre if you don't mind a walk.
J. N.
Decent enough hotel. Limited parking, you may not get a spot, which is a real pain as there is no where near by to park. The hotel was under going a renovation during my stay, so there was a lot of mess and off limits areas, although this did not really negatively impact my stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
H. R.
Brilliant stay. Hotel lovely and clean, staff were so friendly and helpful. We got in after kitchens closed but because we had a little girl that was hungry they opened it and cooked her food. They were fab! Would definitely stay there again.
V. B.
As ever - what you expect from Premier Inn - clean, comfy and great price. Add bonus of a squirrel outside to watch too!!
B. S.
Pleasant PI on the outskirts of Birmingham, friendly helpful staff, bed a bit firmer than I like and pillows very thin which lost the star.
S. J.
Clean and quiet, what you would expect really, ordered dinner but went down a little late for it and they refused to warm it up?
Hence 3 stars.. seriously they could have banged it in the microwave!?!?
i.
Staff were fantastic at helping us get checked in and ensuring we had everything we needed. Rooms were spotless and facilities were great. Would definitely stay again.
P. C.
The staff made my stay much more enjoyable this evening. Totally not expected in a Premier Inn but the service was amazing. Would like to thank Jade for looking out for me. Had a very stressful day that was quickly forgotten once I arrived. Amazing service by amazing staff. Can't thanks them enough.
R.
The staff were great and the rooms themselves were really modern, spacious and sooo clean. Just the reception is a little off putting as its a bit small and the kitchens are right there so you get all the kitchen smells, but a great hotel in a great location
C. j.
It’s in the middle of an industrial area, no shops!
The canal is next to the hotel, pleasant walk down it.
Rooms are large and immaculate, a/c is great.
Breakfast is generous and hot.
Reception was hotter than a Dragons Arse, needs some air flow or a/c and so does the bar area.
Good cold beer, not overpriced and the staff were actually really, really nice people.
Well done those people. Not an ash job on the hottest days in 35 years.
Car park is £4, but safe and lasts ads of it.
Before the whiners whine, none of the other City hotels even have parking! NCP parking needs a 2nd mortgage. Be grateful.
Have used this one before, will use again, many times.
S. T.
Excellent, friendly and helpful. It's a Premier Inn, so you know what you are getting in terms of product. The staff however deserve note for being excellent. We hired out the restaurant on a Sunday for a baby party and over the two days we were there we had nothing but praise for how well they dealt with everything and how friendly/ helpful they were.
On the downside the Wifi is poor. There is free Wifi that is unusable (at best 0.4 Mb/s) and then paid for Ultimate Wifi that drops constantly and doesn't work adequately. If I was staying on business I would find somewhere else as a result.
S. C.
The rooms are OK but the rest of the hotel really needs a facelift. The 1st floor passageway is very springy. Don't expect your fried eggs to be runny. Mine were solid!!
C. A.
Stayed here for the aston Villa game. Location was great for that. Rooms were up to standard but thought the reception could do with a bit of a revamp. Bar area is pretty small. There's a charge for car parking.
R. K.
Really nice stay, you get what you need with Premier. Room was clean bathroom was clean.. sometimes wish the family rooms were a bit bigger gets a bit much with the kids, They obviously love it, everythings an adventure at that age.
Staff are really friendly and helpful.
Was easy to get to Drayton Manor and Star City is close by. Also very close to Stratford Road which was great as kids are fussy eaters and we found food for everyone.
S. W.
Arrived late after a long journey with diversions and delays due to motorway closures, the staff greeted us like a valued regular customer , swiftly checked us in and gave us information relevant to our stay. Slept soundly in a comfy bed. Different staff on departure, also helpful and informative.
L. B.
Friendly welcoming staff who ensured all Covid-19 restrictions adhered to. Professional enough to ensure you were dealt with efficiently.
M. G.
I always use Premier Inns, whenever they are available. No brainer to me. This time however we had really bad WiFi connection whole 3 days. I decided to upgrade to Ultimate WiFi, but it did not improve anything. Annoying pop up window would come up on your screen every few minutes, breaking connection. Speed itself wasn't good enough neither. We could watch Netflix only at lower resolution (Ultimate WiFi). They need to fix it.
A. S.
Greta place for kids. Clean rooms. 2nd stay at this place. Like it the 1st time round hence came back. Looking forward to a little break away from home with family and kiddies. Breakfast wasn't bad last time. Hopefully it's the same or improved .... beds are cozy looking forward to a decent night sleep lol...
A. P.
Super clean bathroom, room is spotless. Staff really helpful and went out of their way to assist me with sorting out heating/air conditioning. Really impressed with how clean and spacious my room is 👍🏻😊
K. D.
Good size rooms and lovely staff and food. Even get to take away your pizza back t on the room. Lift is quite slow and the floors are a bit creeky outside the rooms
S. W.
Very clean, room was adequate for 4 of us, 1 adult 3 children. Staff where professional and polite at all times. Even when I witnessed an obnoxious customer being very rude to one of the waitresses.
A. S.
This hotel is very good, clean, get what you paid for it. Excellent customer service, helpful staffs, forget te to mentioned that staffs all the time smiling and polite and quite at night.
L. G.
Really nice stay!!! Myself and my husband stayed for one night and found the whole experience lovely. Manager was very polite and helpful. Room clean and the breakfast was amazing!!! Would definitely stay again!!!
T. E.
Unfortunately the floor outside my room was very loud so I didn't sleep. Reception assured me it was going to be fixed. The service was great and food was nice though and my complaint about the floor was well received too.
m.
Rooms great, prompt service, saying it just out the centre it's real quiet, thanks.
P. G.
The premier inn is fantastically easy to find as it can be seen from the motorway into Birmingham from the east. The rooms are relatively sound proffed against the external noise. Unfortunately, the noise will come from inside, the floorboards are old and generally loose, making going to the loo at night not only annoying for your partner, but also friends and family that we're staying in adjoining and rooms below.
D. N.
Unfortunately the hotel was quite rough round the edges. The bath panel was water damaged and there were just a lot of niggly issues. For an £80 stay I expected a lot more. I have stayed in cheaper nicer holiday inns
a. p.
Good experience.Stayed overnight with friends. Very clean room. Staff very helpful.Breakfast choice good.Only prob water pressure in room very slow! However Would definitely stay again.
A. C.
Your normal clean tidy premier Inn but annoyed me when it was advertised as free parking but was not free
J. C.
I came up here with my wife and kids and to be honest i would have given this hotel a 1 star if it wasn't for a guy called Ashley this guy went out of his way to make me my wife and kids have a relax stay and not have a problem, Ashley is the guy you need to know when staying at this hotel to me i would book it every time i travel up north with the family only if Ashely is there i would like to say a massive thank you from me and my family to Ashley thank you so much
R. J.
Usual great Premier Inn standard. Spacious clean comfortable rooms. 24 hours parking is charged at £4 which the website is yet to state. It's about 20m walk into the city centre and a taxi to Digbeth cost £6 pre midnight and £11 returning in the early hours so the location makes it good value for a visit to Birmingham.
A. M.
Decent, newly refurbished rooms with comfy beds and plenty of space for stuff. Parking is paid and breakfast was pretty standard for a premier inn.
C. G.
Lovely Premier Inn. Clean, fresh, modern. Great customer service. Very comfortable. Short distance to town by car or bus. Bus stop 2 mins down road, and only £1 for a city hopper ticket. Gosta Green pub/restaurant 5 mins walk with really nice food. Will stay here again.
K. S.
Typical Premier Inn. Stayed here a few times and it has been updated since my last visit it.
A nice touch in the room is the USB charger at each side of the bed allowing you to charge phones/tablets etc.
A bit disappointed that they now charge for parking in their car park, never used to so might just stay elsewhere now.
M. N.
Great rooms and lovely staff - 1 night stay for the Xmas Markets... food was good and curry was lovely. Bed was very comfortable too
G. H.
Very comfortable, good food but a bit awkward to find as satnav seems to go haywire in Birmingham. About 20 mins walk into the town centre mainly through Aston university campus. About 20 mins drive to the NEC but traffic was quite bad due to roadworks.
P. H.
Just enjoying a free coffee (or two!) after a great couple of nights staying at the Premier Inn in Birmingham Central East. Very comfortable beds, clean rooms and great service. A perfect accompaniment to a visit to Cadbury World and the first Day/Night Test Match at Edgbaston.

Happy Ending
We use Dobbies restaurant/café in Shrewsbury now and then for their breakfasts or tempting cream cakes, so thought the Gailey branch would be a good option.
There were signs suggesting their afternoon teas, served from 2pm. This appealed to our taste buds and it was just after 2, so that's what we ordered.
The two young ladies behind the counter reacted as though we had asked for babies brains! After checking availability they eventually relented and a table was set for us. We were puzzled by their initial reaction because several tables had tea stands.
When it finally arrived it all looked very delicious, but we noticed that there was no jam or cream for the scones. As I prepared for another round with the girls a different lady came over to ask if we were happy. She was so helpful and immediately went away and quickly reappeared with jam, cream and another pot of tea. She even took the time for a chat. What a difference to her colleagues. Her attitude saved the day, so a big Thank You to SANDRA for making the experience a very pleasant one.
T. S.
Room lovely and clean, easy to get to.
Staff super efficient and friendly.
W. Y. K.
Went to pick-up a colleague that stayed there overnight. Generally a small hotel quite aged with small breakfast room. Staff were helpful the first day while the 2nd ignored me completely.
Y. T. R.
OMG
The best even one night experience .Staff was very helpful explain everything kindly.
Best place for families to stay.
P. B.
Stayed here for business, staff were friendly and food was good. Bedrooms are large and very clean. Close to city centre and would stay here anytime.
G. A.
Good location for the centre of town.. My room was immaculate must have been very new... My only minor issue was that i got charged for parking only £4 but they couldn't Fit my vehicle in the car park, I was in the kitchen loading bay LOL....It's quite funny how some premier Inn's charge you and others don't...
K. B.
Parking is not free, £10 for the day/night. Place is a bit creaky, seems a little worn and shabby. Stayed at plenty of premier inns and this one is probably the least nice of the bunch.
S. C.
Nice clean room reasonably prices for what you get. Staff are very welcome and friendly and always happy to help with any issues
D. G.
Stayed here for the second time, it's a great place to stay when going to the theatre. Always try and stay at a Premier Inn when I travel as you know what to expect and never disappointed.
r.
Good hotel, location is good for contractors and buisness. Suitably located for access to Birmingham City. Lack of local social amenities such as bars and restaurants. Will need updating soon for most recent Premier er Inn standard.
M. B.
Great rooms with great staff. Restaurant is better than most. Ample parking even though it's £4 per night.
A. A.
Helpful staff . Clean and tidy . Parking is a rip off and never gives receipts from machine
J. B.
Nice place, friendly staff and comfortable beds!
O. S.
Very clean and modern looking hotel rooms with friendly staff! Only downside was having to pay £4 a night on top for parking.
K. A.
Very relaxing stay. Went via Work event cannot fault the hotel. My only complaint would be that you have to pay to park
S. M.
Room was comfortable and Breakfast was very good.
D. d.
Friendly staff well appointed rooms and lovely steak dinner on meal deal with breakfast. Close to City centre for Xmas market and Bull Ring shopping and free car parking.
G. G.
Great premier in experience. A good nights sleep. Food excellent and staff very helpful with me as a disabled guest. Recommended.
M. O.
Good sized rooms, excellent service. Everything you'd expect from a Premier Inn. The decor looked fairly modern.
J. W.
Sad to say the duty manager let the team down. He did not know what nationality "Scottish" is and had to be told by a another member of staff who told him to back off after asking me for ID. He was told in no uncertain terms what I thought of him.
N. F.
Ok, rooms good as usual. Some small noise from traffic overnight on one side. Restaurant ok good menu and good drinks choice. Next to canal.
J. W.
Decent sized room comfortable double bed and single stayed on the first floor very quiet no issues very happy with stay
P. S.
Large clean room in central location great parking at just £4 we had air con issues that weren't resolved so check B4 it gets to hot otherwise great stay at good price
L. F.
Lovely room for a very reasonable price. Staff were polite and room was spotless (:
K. N.
Nice hotel, nothing fancy but not poor either, in a good location if your driving or using public transport, room was clean and tidy and restaurant was small but nice, food was really nice and staff were friendly.
V. C.
Great hotel, food and the staff were great just a taxi ride away from town. If u use the hotel phone on reception the taxi is £6. £9 if u use thr town taxis.
M. L.
It's was ok for our short stay. Clean. Breakfast was also nice. A lot to choose from. Not far from the centres.
S.

S. V.
It was acceptable however the breakfast could have been more better.
The bathroom was very small and the room as well
R. G.
Day and evening staff where friendly and welcoming but I had a lot of problems with my room key not working and in 1 day had to be reset 4 times and the rooms let in a lot of noise unfortunately but that is to be expected for the price I paid
K. H.
Rooms are tidy. Staff are friendly. Rooms are starting to feel a little dated compared to some of the newer refurbished hotels.
U. T.
busy and cramped foyer. but decent rooms
S. e. (.
Very good, clean welcoming, quiet and very friendly staff. Just wish we didn't have to pay separately for parking.
J. S.
Great stay. Helpful staff. Clean modern room. Nice food.
B. F.
Bit tired compared to other Premier Inns. But perfectly acceptable and great value. Looked to be going under refurbishment. Car park was busy and small.

Standard premier inn, shame that you have to pay parking (£4 for 24hrs) but at least it's a fairly reasonable price. Staff friendly and helpful, room nice.
J. F.

A. W.
Really great. I stay every year for a convention. Tried 3 other places first. Have been going here the past seven years.

My favourite of the three PI's I've stayed in in Birmingham so far, but the water pressure in the showers is non-existent! It's like drizzle, and was bitterly disappointing...
l. s.
Staff were very welcoming rooms very clean and resturant was.also very good ideal place to stay
H. G.
Very friendly staff, great rooms and good breakfast options.
P.
Absolutely great service by the reception team, but unfortunately the complete opposite experience in the resteraunt - poor service and very slow.
S. P.
Clean and tidy, breakfast was great, just thought it was a little bit closer to the city centre.
B. L.
Clean and tidy, but if you're attending for an event, bring a packed lunch, as there is no food served after breakfast and no shops nearby.

City centre Premier Inn. Perfectly fine, maybe a little run down in the restaurant area. Rooms are fine and it has on site parking.
S. M.
I was seriously impressed with the food here. I was expecting the usual Premier fayre but it wasn't, it was a step above. I wish the others in the chain would take notice.
