Reviews of Premier Inn Birmingham NEC Airport hotel

Very large Premier mainly catering for the NEC & Airport. Very busy at times at check in with three automated check in desks available. Car park starts at £10 per night. Room was as expected clean and ready, did find pillows lumpy otherwise good. Unable to get an evening meal as restaurant was fully booked. Nearby pub/restaurant 'The Little Owl' very accommodating fitted us in straight away, has an excellent food offering.
We paid for the unlimited breakfast only to find this was the most expensive breakfast we've ever had. Basically though well staffed the restaurant couldn't handle the high volume and ques formed waiting for the basics ie cups and cutlery. The food offering was particularly poor and very limited often running out of items which were not replenished fast enough. I have to add the food that was available was cold and of poor quality and preparation lacking. Definitely not up to Premiers usual standard.

Always excellent - so I am a bit biased! Room clean and well cared for. Room temperature easily controllable. Food good. The only slight issue is one I have experienced in many hotels, namely, the TV in the room had a quite bizarre selection of channels and they were all over the place. It took ages to even find BBC1.

Excellent stay, the team was very attentive and really went out of their way to make it comfortable. A special mention to Laura who ensured my daughters breakfast was cooked especially for her ( she has a dairy and egg allergy )
Would recommend

Helpful receptionist got us sorted with what we needed. Room was roomy and comfortable, but fan in the bathroom wasn't working which left our all steamed up. Only one lift was working, and the other wasn't at 100% either (lurched twice saying doors closing twice - they were already closed - before going up.) Usual Sort of food in the restaurant, which was noisy. Waitress was unconcerned that my glass of water had a plastic bit in it which I nearly swallowed. Usual PI breakfast choices. £10 parking charge for 24 hrs.

Lovely experience. Staff were friendly and professional. Room was comfortable, practical and 'stylish'. The quality of the meal I had could not be faulted. All round enjoyed my stay.
J.
nice room, clean, but honestly very loud all night hard to sleep, blasting music in the lobby that i could hear from my room but was turned off immediately after asking if they could turn it down a bit so good service very nice staff. rock hard lumpy pillows very uncomfortable, no ice cream in the vending machine and it wasnt clear that it was empty so watch out for that very sad 😭 good size tv though and good size room with nice bathroom just unfortunate on the noise and uncomfortable bed made an unpleasant nights sleep

The reason for the rating, and really leaving this review at all, is down to the service delivered by Mo, part of the management team.
He's gone above and beyond to ensure my stay is as comfortable as possible. He also seemed to appear round every turn from check in, to restaurant managing requests and other functions of the hotel to ensure the service was a good one. Although very busy and seemly short staffed, Mo remained calm, collected and did his upmost to accommodate requests. Thank you.

Room as expected. Clean and tidy. The bar wasn't as well stocked as I would have liked. Limited rum and quality beer. Breakfast was good. Overall a decent stay
A. J.
"everything's premier but the price" well the room might be a good price, but £10 for car parking, an overpriced in house restaurant and you're looking at a stay quickly costing more than you thought! It's probably cheaper to pre-book parking in the NEC. Room was alright and looks like it had been recently modernised. The restaurant service was pretty slow throughout dinner and breakfast! An average hotel.

We stayed here for cheer competition and the staff were really friendly and helpful especially Nate on the reception desk and the lady who worked on the bar great customer service and very helpful when asking about travel etc and arranging taxi's would not hesitate to visit again, thank you for all your help.
M. P.
The hotel is lovely. Great rooms clean and tidy as always. However the restaurant lets gnus premier Inn down.
1 hour 15 minutes waiting on a starter . 1/2 waiting on drinks . The whole meal took over 3 hours .
Breakfast was not much better. Food cold . Toasters not working correctly .
If it was not for the convience of this hotel I would not stay there again.
J. R.
Exactly as it says on tin. Accommodation was spotlessly clean and heated via air conditioning rather than a panel heater.
Staff where very helpful and courteous.
The breakfast was superb, with all items being restocked regularly.
D. M.
Really convenient for the NEC. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the food and room were up to the usual good standard. Refurbishment going on, so still a bit tatty in places.
J. D.
Very nice hotel, but a bit hard to get to from the station. It is a 15 - 20 min walk from the NEC, Ok on a nice day, but not when raining.
j. m.
I love the premier inn. It is quite and the room is large and bed is comfortable.
I don't agree with charging paying customers for parking. Expensive aswell.
J. H.
Felt like a newly refurbished room shower was the best I've ever had really big head and powerful and really good temperature control.
Clean and helpful staff.
Breakfast was great fresh food even though breakfast was just about to end.
J. W.
Good value for one night with breakfast plus 10 days parking. Very friendly staff. The hotel is maybe a little drab in parts but a comfortable place to stay. Room was clean and tidy but it did look like it had been somewhat rushed. I'd stay there again.
C. S.
The staff here simply could not do enough to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Lia and Isabella in particular are a total credit to the company and their customer service was second to none. I travelled with my young daughter, they were attentive to our needs and really brought a smile to our faces. Good customer service should be recognised and on this occasion and on my outward journey the previous week it was outstanding. I will definitely be recommending this hotel to friends and family.

After completing some work at the NEC, I was checked in quickly by Chris who was very friendly and helpful. With my arrival being later in the evening I expected the restaurant to be busy and indeed it was. I'd have given 5 stars had the food portions been a more decent size and if replacement dishes were offered to compensate for half of the menu being missing due to supply issues. I cannot fault the staff though; they kept up with the pace of how busy it was and still were able to wear a smile!
M.
Highly recommended; £10 parking a day - spaces for large vehicles - lovely large clean rooms and comfortable beds - tea and coffee in rooms. But the friendly, and very helpful service at the bar and in the restaurant was excellent, the drinks were plentiful, the food was fresh, hot and tasty, and breakfast is one of the best I've tasted, even had fresh mushrooms, glorious black pudding, as for the sausages, bacon, hash browns etc etc, just fresh, very tasty and what an English breakfast should be. Fantastic. It'll all made the overnight stay a delight and everything onsite under one roof. Definately going back, anything on at the NEC, this is the hotel to stay in, and only 15min walk to the NEC. I travel all over the Country and it's so nice to feel your welcome, really, shame I can only give 5 stars.

I joined the hustle and bustle of a very busy mid week hotel stay last week. Obviously due to the mask wearing not now being obligatory not one person out of about 30 people crammed into a busy reception wore one. I did because of the close proximity of potential spreading this Covid bug. Why I ask do these companies not insist as they are allowed, enforce on their premises to people wearing them. Even the hand saniters were being ignored.
Well I was given my room which as normal with Premier was very tidy, clean and comfortable. Perfect for a good sleep. The shower was probably in the top 5 of any shower I have had! Good hot water pressure just blasting away the stresses of a busy day, ideal. Then down for dinner after purchasing one of their very reasonable meal deals including evening dinner and all you can eat English breakfast to kick off next days activity.
On the whole another pleasurable stay. Only one thing at this venue is the £ 10.00 overnight parking which for a guest i thought was a bit strong.
H. R.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Had sanitiser when arrived, but not many people now wearing masks. They had a good selection for breakfast, but limited on evening meal. The room was clean and tidy, had everything I needed.

Excellent soscious clean modern rooms with very big comfy beds..
Staff very welcoming and friendly. Thank you to the really nice room porter who helped me with my bags when i was checking out..
On top of looking after of his new team that he was trying to train up.. he still went out if his way to help me.
Big thanks defo be coming back soon.

Amazing - bed was sooo comfy and curtains were awesome in that even when it was light outside still felt like nighttime. My one fault was that bar shut too early. Got back to hotel and hoped to have nightcap.
l. m.
Honestly for £109 for 3 nights you can't say no.
Staff were amazingly helpful from booking in to ordering taxis to bar staff and restaurant, the 1 meal I had was excellent quality, clean hotel, bed was nice, nice big bath, room was quite big and had plenty plugs nice tv well light ,only downside was a bit noisy at night with people getting drunk in bar and some of the furniture bit scratched up.
T. C.
Very friendly staff. Comfortable, clean room. Delicious all you can eat breakfast. Enjoyed our stay.
M. C.
Usual Premier Inn refinements. Lots of parking for a reasonable daily charge. Clean and tidy as you would expect. Book in advance to get the best deals and when the hotels locally are full it's worth a look as it is on the outskirts of the airport.
T. T.
Great nights sleep after crufts , did the meal deal for food .Nice meal & lovely breakfast. Hopefully be back nxt year .
H. G.
Rooms were nice and clean we had the meal deal which I think is well worth it ,I would advise bookings a time for your evening meal , breakfast was all you can eat and was nice ,staff were friendly and helpful ,I would highly recommend staying here ,
G. B.
Very nice hotel. Excellent rooms, good bathroom, nice and warm. Very handy for the NEC, only 10 minute walk.
a. c.
Very friendly place. If like us, you are visiting the NEC, the location is ideal. Stand in front of the hotel with the reception doors behind you. Walk forward around the side of the hotel and through a broken fence. Keep walking through all the carparks and after 10 mins you will be at the NEC
j. h.
Really good place to stay before flight & good price in parking for your holiday duration really frendly staff
L. G.
Reception and restaurant staff very helpful.
Especially reception staff on Wednesday evening.
Thank you
L. H.
We used this hotel as part of a park and stay for a two week holiday the room was great .staff and the restaurant good all st a great price definitely recommend it ..
W. H.
Staff were amazing here and the room was comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay here again.
J. K.
Well what a fiasco, our room was ready but we couldn't book in for dinner because they were short of food so couldn't take any more bookings. In a town centre location this wouldn't be a problem but at the NEC Birmingham once the exhibition centre has closed at 6 there's not alot around the hotel. Breakfast was OK, both the toasters were running cool and slow so bread had to be put through several times to warm and toast. The staff were friendly enough but they all seemed very stressed and busy. Come on Premier Management you can do better than this. A prime location but opportunities missed.
S. L.
Great place to stay rooms are lovely, staff are helpful and the food is lovely too.
M. W.
Lovely friendly staff. Nice breakfast and comfortable room. Stayed 2 nights visiting family.
J. D. B. /. G. g. T. 3.
Very stylish stunning place to stay all the staff we're very friendly and helpful too would stay there again in the future 😀 ❤❤❤
p. k.
I think it was poor planning from kitchen when not a lot of items ran out but clean place
T. L.
Very handy to airport and motorway while staying for F1 weekend at Silverstone. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, titdy and everything was working. Excellent showers and experienced no noise. Generally the hotel was clean. Breakfast ok under the covid circumstances. A little attention to detail in the restuarant would help. The food was good at breakfast but the floor hadnt been brushed from the night before hence 4 instead of 5. Overall great job by the staff. Food is a tad expensive and the car park is really expensive. It charges you £10 for 24 hours even if your only parked in it over night. It was mostly empty during our 3 night stay. We arrived late and ordered a last minute burger and chips in the restuarant which was reheated and the bun had obviouslybeen frozen at some stage. (not good for the price we paid for it!) We didnt eat in it again apart from our pre paid breakfast. Like I said, staff were brill, prices of everything else a bit over the top for the service provided. To the manager, with little teaking it could be 5 out of 5, attention to detail!
T. G. F.
Very clean interconnecting rooms. Stopped here in July and was quite busy with flights.....if you want to stop here with your children then remember you can't see the aeroplanes from the rooms but the airport is onlna few minutes away....the food in the restuarent the is inside the hotel was good and also very clean. Breakfast was great
M. S.
Nice place to stay, near the nec and airport, very helpful service all round.
S. C.
Very clean room, staff friendly and helpful. Our go to place when we're in Birmingham. Thank you.
M. H.
We had a lovely stay .Hotel is clean and friendly with lots of parking (not free)
A. S.
Cheap and not particularly cheerful. Missed the bar by two minutes, so we went thirsty. Breakfast was OK but rude staff on the buffet. They constantly ran out out food and were slow to refill the supply.
J. M.
Rooms were clean. Waitress gave us wrong information on meal deal though so had to speak to management to sort it out- not waitresses fault though.
C. A.
Clean rooms, easy check in. Breakfast is what let the place down.
s. m.
Lovely & comfy bed & nice room for astandard 👍🏽😁
T. B.
Good rooms with all the necessary bathroom facilities. Breakfast was excellent and lots of it.
S. D.
Great service..staff couldn't do enough food was amazing...definitely stay again
v. t.
Not the best, got there gone 7 after a drive from Cornwall just dumped bags and slept got up this morning ,got in shower to find a long black hair in the shower curtain and not all the rings attached to the shower curtain and only 1 bath towel for us to share. Dried my hair with a poor dryer which had a short cord. Marks on the room ceiling too. They have had plenty of time to get these sort of things sorted. For the same price I wish we had seen the Crowne Plaza first.
R. P.
Was ok for 1 night. Helpful pleasant staff. Brekkie could do with being hotter (for me anyway).
B. M.
Ever watched the episode of Father Ted called, Cigarettes and Alcohol and Rollerblading?
My mattress was made of bricks, and I'm sure the pillows were made of cardboard, worst nights sleep ever.
R. T.
Love my stay there and sometimes go there for a break from the normal staff fantastic
H. I.
Ideal location for Resorts World. Friendly staff and very clean room.
s. b.
Good clean hotel..room very hot..hotel staff were friendly..beds comfortable as always!!
Bad bits is a 10£ charge to use car park for paying customers.
A. S.
As always with Premier Inn, super clean, staff always very friendly and helpful.
D. O.
Staff trying their best. Canteen brutally noisy in the evenings. Rooms quiet and comfortable, perhaps a bit tired.
L. F.
Clean room, quiet and hassle free stay
U. S.
Just stayed the night. Didn't have any food or anything, but I gotta admit, the staff were lovely and the bed was so comfortable. Very quiet night. Also had AC and a nice big tv. There's a lot of water pressure (bath fills within about 2 minutes) and it's very hot water. Giving 4 stars just because of the parking charges. Thought it was a bit cheeky -.-
L. J.
£10 for parking, ouch. But walking distance from the arena which was good.
J. B.
Great hotel prices for the rooms are good staff were welcome and so helpful the reception lady was so nice staff were so polite the room were very clean no fault in the cleaning lovely and spotless the only thing was that you had to pay to park your car that was the down fault £10 24 hours
D. S.
Rooms comfortable. But we had to push the staff to give us our breakfast as they shut the restaurant half an hour earlier than the opening times stated in the welcome pack in the room. We ended up having whatever was left and a lot of people came for breakfast after us and missed out. On arrival it was a case of pay here and here's your room key rather than the better service I get at other premier inns such as offers of a table for dinner and a general run down of how the place operates. Having stopped in premier inns in numerous places before I dont think this was one of the better ones.
K. P.
As usual, had good sleep before long haul flight.
D. S.
Nicely appointed rooms, clean and comfortable. Check in was easy. My heart goes out to the team on the night shift, who, with patience and kindness, were tasked with dealing with what can only be described as the West Midlands' Most Tedious Customers. I was startled at how miserly, rude and downright mean some of my fellow guests at the hotel were, and having worked a similar job myself, can only applaud the gentleman and lady on the front desk for their restraint.
K. M.
From the moment we arrived on Monday 4/6 afternoon, our three night stay was made that much more enjoyable by the professionalism shown from all the staff accompanied with the fantastic food.
our rooms were spotless and the beds very comfortable.
This was a great experience and wouldn't hesitate in using this hotel again.
A real first class all round service. A+
C. W.
Good price, good sized clean room and great breakfast
J. F.

Visited the NEC and needed to stay overnight. Premier Inn was chosen as it was just around the corner, about 2 miles. Booked a disabled room, as a wheelchair user. Staff were excellent, eager to please without being over the top. The room was large, well equipped with the usual stuff you'd expect. The layout was suitable for a wheelchair user. The bathroom had suitable grab rails and the toilet was a good height. Personally, I found the bed a little bit too low, but it was an excellent size and was very comfortable. As a disabled room maybe a grab rail on the side of the bed would have nice, but I managed. Breakfast was excellent, varied and serving staff were very helpful. Only negative was that the room could have been a little cleaner. It was ok, but tea stains on skirting board by side of bed and dirty window sills, let the overall effect down. I would go there again, good value.
R. A.
Great hotel, exactly as you would expect, very handy for the airport.
There's an automated carpark and check-in so you can come in at any hour of the day or night.
We managed to get a room very cheaply at late notice, might be worth it if you're the risk-taking sort.
The room was clean and pleasant, the breakfast costs extra but is good and the restaurant is clean and pleasant.
No beautiful views or anything but awesome location.
R. S.
Moving around the hotel on a mobility scooter was not easy. Very narrow corridors and tight corners. The room itself was as expected but it was quite a distance from the reception, dining room, etc. The room was classed as disabled and had plenty of wall grips in the bathroom. The main problem was there was a shallow bath, a shower over the bath but no separate shower. I did try the bath but was unable to get out. I needed help and it took quite a while and we were both exhausted at the end of it and I was in pain.
The restaurant staff were great. They accommodated us, a group of 6 and 2 mobility scooters extremely politely. The food was served in good time and was very well presented and tasted lovely.
When leaving, my daughter mentioned about the distance to the room and the facilities in the bathroom to the receptionist. The lady then told us that there was an alternative route to the room which was shorter. Too late as we were leaving. She also said that there was only one wetroom in the hotel. My daughter had telephoned in advance to check the facilities and informed the hotel that the room was for 2 disabled persons both with mobility scooters who needed a disabled friendly bathroom.
Overall, very mixed feelings towards our stay at the hotel. Will not be staying again.
B. L.
After problems with Google Maps trying to direct is through a locked car park, the hotel itself was great. Receptionist efficient and polite. Rooms were clean, warm and bed was comfy. Loved the hot large hear shower, so refreshing. The only downside is the lounge bar is a little small and the car park barrier has a mind of its own.
S. M.
Lovely rooms, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff.
G. C.
The rooms are nice specially after the refurbishment, the little touches such as the use charging points by the bed and smart TV really finish it off. The bath is nice and deep and the shower nice and powerful with instant hot water. The restaurant is nice but we don't feel it's as good value for money as it used to be. Gone more fancy and less value.
A. R.
Comfy, quiet, good breakfasts. It's premier inn, you know exactly what you're getting, and it's great
P. E.
Up to the usual standard. Looked like ut had recently had a refurb 👍
B. “. S.
As usual, exceptional rooms. Fairly recently refurbished and to a very good standard. The usb sockets by the bedsides are a definite plus. Another of Premier Inn's nice little touches. The bath was nice and deep and the hot water was instant. The shower is fantastic, and the whole room nice, clean and welcoming. The restaurant is nice, the staff friendly, but the food a little disappointing. The car park cost is a little steep, but given the location, to he expected. All in all a pretty good stay, with helpful staff on reception.
M. S.
Lovely stay, felt really safe as all Covid restrictions in place, very clean & comfortable room as always
J. M.
Comfy bed helpful staff tasty sausages for breakfast
A. P.
Booked for a get away and used the park sleep fly.
Rooms are nice and large, although on the noisy side if you’re located next to the main door coming into the corridor.
We were expecting a large Hypnosis bed like other premier inns as we love these beds... but no luck this visit... in all the reception staff very accommodating and we will be staying again on our return from holiday
T. C.
Everything was excellent but what particularly made my stay was the friendliness of the staff. Danielle in the restaurant really looked after me and went above and beyond to ensure that I had the best experience. She is an absolute gem and deserves credit for her excellent levels of customer service.
I. J.
You can't go wrong with the rooms, you know what you are getting. However, to go down to the restaurant at 18.45hrs only to be told there's an hours wait for a table, before you even order, is crazy. The restaurant was only half full aswell, if that! I didnt book the room, so I wouldn't have known about the parking charge, but to pay to stay and then pay a tenner to leave! Don't think I've paid to park at any other Premier Inn and other hotels have a system to register your number plate if your ate staying so you can park for free.
s. P.
Great hotel, food and staff great and easy access to hotel
L. S.
Rooms spacious clean and comfortable. However, breakfast was a bit of a disaster. Frozen bread next to toaster, dirty plates, food running out and not being replenished so queues of customers everywhere.
M. H.
Very comfy, quite quiet although the hotel was very busy. Long wait for service at bar as staff are working reception and bar. Good breakfast and evening meal but had better at other premier inns.
N. C.
Very happy with value for money, nice room, breakfast service was a bit of a shambles but food decent
A. V. Z.
This hotel is somewhat convenient to the NEC, about a 15 minute walk to the main area. The rooms are decent, though it appears the second bed in the rooms with two is more like a daybed/couch. The restaurant is "fine", but the breakfast you pay for is what you'd normally get free in the states. The toilet paper in the bathrooms is 1 sheet at a time rather than a roll, which is as inconvenient as it sounds. Everything is clean and the staff are helpful and friendly.
M. R.
Stayed in accessible room for 2 nights. Room was spacious & had plenty of room for my mobility scooter. Bathroom had low level bath & was fine. Good number of power sockets in the room & even one near the bed. Internet speed was very poor & slow. Mobile phone signal signal shockingly bad throughout the hotel. Breakfast was nothing special. When I stayed there was a brand new menu. Had veggie Lasagna which was very nice. Staff were very friendly, very helpful and accommodating. Service in restaurant for dinner was slow despite not being busy. Hotel within walking (10 mins) from NEC through the car parks otherwise it's almost about 25 mins walk along the road.
B. W.
Great hotel, manager is nice. Rooms are very clean! Breakfast is a all you can eat! Dinner is great. All in all, its a great big hotel. (Little tip: If you like photography bring your camera, there is purple and white lights outside at night!) All in all, great hotel.
J. H.
The rooms were lovely and clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, very fresh and had everything on offer you could possibly want and more. Easy transfer to the airport... very happy to report we made it to our holiday destination :-)
C. P.
Stayed here before an early morning flight. Nice clean and big rooms, huge hotel. Hospitality in the room was good and you can park too, you can get a ticket that let's you in and out and lots of parking too. Right around the corner from the airport or any airport parking not far away either. Didn't eat there but food looked okay.
L. T.
This is the 3rd timing staying here for the BBC Good Food show. Lovely staff, always polite & helpful, plenty of parking (though it does cost £10 per day), nice clean room (had twin room with a double & single bed), both beds where comfy & looked very clean with all white sheets & duvet, there was a USB socket that was damaged but there was a fair few scattered around the room, & the extractor fan in bathroom didnt work. Was on first floor over then entrance, but could hardly hear any noise from outside 👍 the TV volume was limited to just 15, which was a bit annoying as it was about 4pm (would suggest Premier Inn maybe installing a timer on the restricted volume to go on maybe at the watershed time). As for food, the restraunt was busy, but my pizza came out with very roughly/badly chopped veg (as in big chunks) & slightly under cooked, but taste wise was ok. Lastly, for anyone who uses hair dryers, take your own; the dryer supplied is very low power and only gets 'warm', you also have to keep a button held in to keep it on. In regards to finding the place, not too bad with a SatNav but mine kept trying to take me to a business park nearby. Overall, nice place, staff and location for multiple aspects (NEC, airport, train, Resorts World, etc)
A.
Stayed overnight at the Premier Inn Birmingham NEC for a show I was attending on the same night. Check in was quick and easy thanks to their automatic check in machines. When I arrived at my room it was clean, inviting and comfy. At night it was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. As it was for one night, I didn't get a chance to try the services they provide but I will definitely be coming back to this hotel in the future.
A. N.
Use this hotel every time I visit the NEC. Less than 10 mom walk from the entrance from the NEC by walking. Reasonably priced, helpful and friendly staff. Can barley hear planes from the room.
Could be improved by reducing parking costs, but most prices are the same with neighbouring hotels. Visited multiple times and will visit multiple times in the future.
B. M.
This is a fairly typical Premier Inn, nothing fancy but decent enough. Staff have all been nice and friendly. The food at the restaurant was ok but nothing special. Make sure you book the restaurant when you arrive as it is very small and no where near big enough for the hotel. The NEC is within walking distance but you do have to climb over a fence (don't know why they don't just put a gate in)
C. L.
Great for a Premier Inn - quiet night's sleep, despite the location right next to the airport. Great shower. If staying here for NEC or Resorts World events, DO NOT consider it to be walkable - it's within walking distance, but there is NO pedestrianised route. Get a taxi and save yourself the hassle! Also £8 parking per night is something to keep in mind.
M. T.
As ever you get the great Premier Inn experience. Staff who ate eager to help when needed, a clean room with good temperature control and a great breakfast. It has also quiet, you don't know there is an airport nearby. I actually think this place is better value and nicer than the so called luxury hotels in the area.
T. M.
Stayed here whilst exhibiting at the NEC. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was very good. All the staff were friendly and helpful. There was some noise transfer from other guests using the corridor and rooms above but this is to be expected at such a busy hotel. The car park was also very expensive at £8 per day which felt like a money making exercise by the hotel.
P. C.
Nice clean room and bathroom. However, parking is expensive if you're in and out a lot and the complex is not designed with walking in mind - pavements would be nice! Ignore the no pedestrian sign to the NEC, hop over a fence and it's a gentle 15 minute walk. Restaurant and bar at the hotel is small so book or go elsewhere. The corridors are really noisy, lots of slamming of doors.
J. P.
Nice place. Bit hard to find as satnav took you right past it,
C. H.
Great rooms and great staff
R. L.
We stayed for two nights while going to a show at the NEC. The room was clean, quiet and in good order. Typical for a relatively new Premier Inn. Breakfast was good. We had 1 evening meal. Service and staff were very friendly and helpful.
J. W.
Great location for the nec, and for events in Birmingham itself. Hotel was clean. Staff very welcoming. Only downside was the charge for parking, we had to leave for an event and then return, and only noticed the sign at the very bottom of the machine that said to speak to reception to get a pass to go in and out again (will remember for next time). Nice big TV in the rooms and the bathroom was good too. Pretty standard Premier inn really. Didn't eat in the hotel restaurant so can't review that.
R. C.
Hotel staff were very polite. Main bed is only a double, not a queen like in other premier inns. Room was larger than others I had been too though. evening meal and breakfast were great. Parking for 24 hours was £6, but walked to the nec which only took 20 minutes so saved having to pay again for parking there.
J. G.
Stayed over night before we went on holiday. Easy to park and check in. The hotel is immaculate. The meal deal is great value and the food was delicious. Breakfast was okay just your usual hotel breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.
A. K.
I have stayed here a couple of times now when me and my girlfriend went to NEC and its perfect for visiting the NEC as its literally next door to the NEC. The rooms are nice, cosy and fresh with tea and coffee provided. The beds are comfy I didn't have trouble sleeping. The bar is not cheap but what you expect from a hotel. We paid for a 2 course meal and breakfast package when we booked the room. The main meal was cooked to perfection and tasted beautiful the desert was nice too. In the morning we went for breakfast and it was all freshly cooked and all you can eat what more could you ask for.

Always a pleasure to stay here. The rooms are modern and well furnished, the staff are lovely, and the all you can eat breakfast is excellent and kept topped up. The beds are comfortable and the showers are amazing.
C. L.
The hotel was nice and the staff were great. The rooms where clean. HOWEVER the food in the restaurant was not that good. They brought us the wrong food 45 minutes later which we mentioned and the waitress said it will be a 1hour wait if we change it and because I drove for 3 hours straight we eat the food. Tlwe woke in the morning to go to breakfast and it looked nice. But was flat cold the bacon was cooked.and the beans were under cooked. But the food aside we thought it was a good hotel. Needs more staff tho.

Really good and quick check in thanks to self service check in.
Room was clean and felt recently redone. Toilets don't flush very well. Also poor air ventilation for showers etc.
Breakfast was reasonably priced for what was on offer and the bar is much cheaper than anywhere in the NEC and has a fairly good selection of spirits and drinks on tap
M. B.
Very nice place, shame the restaurant isn't big enough to acomadate more of the residents for an evening meal. Breakfast as usual premier inn excellent choice. Rooms so very comfortable. Keep up the good work.
C.
Great breakfast, nice staff, stuffy beds couldn't sleep very well, the sheets didnt feel right, kept getting twisted up in them.
stayed for 4days and by each morning we would run out of toilet roll, it never got re-stocked well.
if they are gonna bother coming in to re-make my bed i'd like it re-made with fresh sheets, otherwise just leave it to air out.
The shower and bath are nice, i was able to enjoy both on various occasions. with Parking being £8 a day it would have been nice if the there was a service to get us to the NEC each morning included in that fee.
would be nice if they had a gym

We stayed here for 4 nights from 23rd Feb to see Steely Dan at the NEC and incorporate a long weekend break.
The location is about a 10 minute walk from the NEC but beware that it’s at least another 10 minutes walk inside the NEC to the train station, shops and exhibition halls. As I have breathing problems we got a a taxi on occasions, this cost between £7 & £9! There was a huge caravan exhibition on so we put the cost down to demand!
Check-in was quick & easy & the room was to Premier Inn’s usual standards ( the main reason we always use Premier Inn).
Sadly, we found most of the reception staff to be unenthusiastic, unfriendly and even appeared bored with their jobs.
After check in we decided to have a drink in the bar before exploring the NEC, we stood for 10 minutes with no staff evident, asked at reception if the bar was open and were told yes but our request for service went unacknowledged. A member of staff came to sign in and when we approached the bar said “I’m not on duty yet love” and walked off again! Eventually someone came to serve us but we felt it was a disappointing introduction to the hotel.
The 2 vending machines in the foyer were out of order the whole weekend, they were eventually fixed on the day we were leaving.
Meal service was very busy ( the hotel was full) and it was essential to book for dinner. The dining room didn’t seem big enough for the number of guests and breakfast saw people eating in the bar area as well as the restaurant. The food however was good, breakfast buffet replenished, hot and plentiful.
The bar area was far too small for the number of guests in the hotel.
The hotel is quite remote from any local shops and you need really need a car or taxi to get around, beware though parking costs £8 a day!
All in all we were disappointed with this Premier Inn, they’re always our first choice when choosing a hotel but it’s not one we’d go back to.
J. S.
Really nice clean, modern hotel. And the hotel service is really good. The restaurant/bar however service is awful! They are clearly vastly understaffed. We were told there would be a wait for food, not a problem itself. But then having to ask 3 times for someone to take your order and still failing to take it. So we went over the road to a nice little pub. This is only an example, we had several other times were we waited a very long time to be served at the bar as well.
A. G. U.
Had the pleasure of meeting the most polite and helpful receptionist, Hayley, during my stay here last night. Working late, I just ordered a take away to the hotel, instructed to wait for a call from the driver. Next thing I ger a knock on the door, with Hayley dropping it off to my 3rd floor room! She realised I had no cutlery then promptly came back with plates, cutlery and napkins. Nothing was too much. Then again pleasantly checking me out this morning. Superb service Premier Inns💥

Guaranteed good night's sleep? Yes, I can agree. And the shower was amazing. Small but rain fall shower with good water pressure in the bath 🛀. The room was good size with a nice double bed. I do recommend giving them a ring to confirm the details of your booking especially if your booking was done through an ERP system coz you could end up paying much more than you intended. But it was a good stay despite mine being rather short, limited to a single night. Enjoy!

I was in Birmingham for the weekend with my friend to see Mrs Brown's Boys new Live show at the Genting (formerly the LG) Arena.
We arrived at Birmingham International later than planned due to a late train (thank you Virgin Trains) but with plenty of time to check in. The walk from the station to the hotel took a little over 20 minutes, walking through the NEC. There is no footpath from the NEC to the hotel, you need to walk along side a road to get there on foot.
We checked in quickly by using the machines inside reception and went to our room on the ground floor.
The room was located right next to the main entrance of the hotel, meaning we could hear the other guests arriving and leaving. But seeing as we were only her to sleep and not linger it didn't bother us.
The room itself was very clean and big, we realized it was actually for disabled persons. Hence the alarm pull by the side of the bed and the rail by the side of the lavatory, But the bathroom was clean. We then left for the NEC to get a bite to eat.
We returned to the hotel at 11:30pm and had a few drinks in the bar before heading to bed. The bar was busy but we we're served quickly.
When we returned to the room we got changed and got into bed. The bed was very soft. Comfortable but soft. As we we're watching television, we noticed people were smoking cigarettes outside our bedroom window and talking loudly. Despite this, We both slept quite soundly.
Early the next morning we were woken by the sound of people checking out of the hotel and wheeling their suitcases out of the entrance.
We didn't stay for breakfast and checked out nice and quickly.
I would recommend this hotel if you are attending an event at The NEC or are flying from Birmingham Airport.
s. b.
cant fault this premier inn at all. easy to find location. very helpful staff. lovely setting. loads of parking. coffee available. nice bar. lovely cosy eatery. good menu. 20 minute walk from the resort. clean. tidy and a very comfy bed. large tv in room. good size bathroom. tea and coffee in room. towels. all that was missing was a toothbrush. would very much recommend this place if your going to the NEC to catch a show. 5 star

Stayed here whilst working in Nuneaton. Having had walked out of the Nuneaton hotel due to unsuitable accommodation, I got booked in here by work and on first impression the hotel gave me the wow factor. Problem being is things started to go downhill from here..
So the room is spacious clean and tidy and meets my satisfaction. The internet is not bad in this hotel and holds its strength and everything was going great until I ate at the in house restaurant.. I so wanted to give this 5 stars but stupid things spoilt my review..
The restaurant kept installing ice in my drinks when I asked for no ice.. This occured on first night and on second night the service took 45 minutes to serve me one fish cake for starters. I then had to wait an additional 45 minutes to get a piece of salmon as black as the ace of spades and a few pieces of broccoli which was as hard as it had been if they just pulled it out the ground.
Room service did a great job in cleaning and very happy, but didn't replace condiments so had to walk long corridors downstairs to get more.
Reception staff are friendly and very helpful. Vending machines dispense snacks all night if get peckish.. It's great as they take card. Perfect for someone with no clue on nearest ATM. The hotel charges for parking here which is bizarre slightly as it's not near anything really I can see which would warrant parking here and walking say to town.. Would be better if they did free parking for guests and non guests must pay and display..
Parking is charged at £8 per 24 hours which in Heinz sight isn't too bad really, but still remember to pay for it when vacating..
The hotel I think is potentially due to be upgraded like many others as they have what can be called Premier Inn retro Collection, compared to other hotels..
Overall a nice hotel.. Just wish other hotel users would consider guests who don't smoke and go outside rather than use cling film and tin foil with an elastic band to prevent a smoke alarm going off.. (Saw this once at a different hotel)..
j. g.
The room was lovely and spacious, bed comfortable, quiet nights sleep, would definitely recommend. Breakfast was a little of a let down compared to other premier inn breakfasts I have had, food was a little dry and luke warm, pastries were not as fresh as hoped and all of the juices were empty.
S. O.
Disappointed that on arrival the family room booked had no loo roll and the bathroom glass had a large chip on the rim.
Receptionist sorted the issue but this wouldn't normally be the case at other Premier Inn hotels.
Other than that, hotel like all other premier inn hotels, a good sleep before departing on holiday.
C. D.
The staff on check in were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean, and had air conditioning which made it nice and cool. They do charge for parking here, but it's not expensive.
S. A. (. Q. O.
An excellent hotel, and a modern, yet comfortable building. Recently refurbished, although in all honesty, there was little I could fault beforehand.
The addition of USB charging sockets next to the bed is yet another awesome provision from Premier Inn.
Well-spoken, knowledgable, helpful, and eager to please staff. Excellent on every level. I will definitely be staying here again!
M. S.
Booked in around 6pm told they were busy, so earliest booking for a table was 9.15pm !!!
Advised to come down around 7.30 and see if they could fit us in early, which they did. The surprise was £8 extra for parking. Lucky we were only there for one night . Apart from those gripes everything else was fine. Decent size TV in the room was a bonus.
H.
Great location. Superb refurbishment. Very good team. Restaurant too small for number of guests. Beer choice very poor, 2 lagers off due to tech problems. No extra pillows available, resolved on the second day. Couldn't dine second night due to full restaurant... bizarre.
M. H.
Cheap accommodation that's very convenient for the NEC. We left our car parked in the hotels car park and just walked to the NEC just 8 minutes away. The car park charges £8 for each 24 hours used. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was ok but our room could have been a bit cleaner. There was plenty of dust to be found on the top of the headboard and the art hanging on the walls.
T. W.
Nice hotel great service with comfy beds. Only bad thing is it's not near to any train station atleast 15 min walk or more. It's perfect if you have car or you gonna use taxi. I had some issues with heating in my room but it was solved quickly.
J. M.
Great hotel, really close to birmi than airport and reasonable prices. I paid for a hotel stay and parking whilst I was away on holiday which was really reasonable. Nice bar and restaurant available for guests but staff in the evening were inexperienced. The hotel is huge and it can be quite annoying if you have a lot of luggage having to drag it for miles to get to your room.ucjily as I have a 2.5 year old with me they soon changed us to a room near reception once I highlighted this. Some issues during my stag but this wouldn't stop me staying again.
L. X.
Nice clean restaurant with a very decent breakfast and clean enough rooms though the cleaning needs more attention (a few hairs in bed and bath and quite dusty in general). Parking is £8 for 24 hours which I wasn’t expecting to pay. Staff were very friendly and helpful, though one of the housekeepers went down the corridor knocking on every door at 9:40 when half the guests were still obviously in their rooms. Other than that it was a good stay and perfect location for a quick taxi to the NEC. (Taxi to the Genting Area averaged about 5-6 pounds, otherwise it’s quite a confusing 20-30 minute walk).
D. H.
Typical Premier Inn. Clean and modern but soulless. Food is average at best. Service a little slow not helped by tills that crash regularly. Anyone staying on the second floor has a long walk to their rooms at the moment...get off the lift at the first floor, follow the signs for what seems like ages to get to a staircase and then up the stairs and then try to find your room. I had heavy bags so I had aching arms by the time I got to my room
P. J.
Park 'n fly available here for 8 poundd per night. Nice pictures rooms. Two adults and a child in Italy sleep in the room. Breakfast and dinner option available as a combination for 25 pounds per person.
J. M.
Much better with the new TV's in the room yet my room had a very loud air-conditioning unit and also kept turning off every 30 minutes ?? Breakfast one morning was very slow to the point people were waiting 20 minutes for hot food. Close to the nec which is great but small things need improving.
N. F.
Decent stay food was a let down. Staff was great room was good and quiet perfect for a a family of 4.
Parking lot was £8 for the night so cant grumble. Hotel is 10 mins drive from airport.
Food was as you can see my problem supposed to be hunters chicken I must've annoyed someone???
H. W.
Another excellent stay at the premier inn NEC. The staff are excellent always helpful and nothing to much trouble . The beds are so comfortable:-) and food in the restaurant delicious, we were a party of 15 over 5 nights and had great service from all the staff , they were well organised ,efficient and nothing to much trouble. Declan and Claire really helpful with prior arrangements and great service from Emma, Rachel and Abbi . Always a friendly hello from staff and on hand to help. We will be back for BBC good food show 2019 .Thank you from the Lakeland Team .
D. W.
In an ideal location for a short walk to the NEC. Staff were super friendly and were always about to help. Room was clean and tidy and I loved the size of the bed! If we are ever up for another event, think we will be staying here!
C. G.
Can't comment on the rooms as we've never stayed here instead we use it for the buffet breakfast and car park when visiting the NEC.
Staff are friendly and car park is reasonably priced and a short walk to the NEC or you can catch the bus opposite.
Be warned that at busy times there can be a bit of a queue at the coffee machines.
J. E.
It was a really great stay
A. J.
Don't expect to eat here. Wait for table 90mins and then 45 mins for food. Parking 8 pounds per night. Fair enough as close to NEC. Which charges 16 pounds to park. Room nice though. Very clean.
M. P.
Stayed here before flying the following morning. Room clean and modern. Lovely bit shower. All the staff and friendly and courteous. Only negative was the food was very average nd the general sense of disorganisation in the restaurant. Staff very friendly however.
A. D.
Good nights stay! Convenient for a few locations, we used it for the Genting Arena, was a little noisy as I believe there was some kind of awards event in the bar which many people were staying after, but nothing too disturbing.
Room was nice, clean and spacious.
Knocking 1 star off for annoying vending machines in the lobby and pricey parking (£8), but recommended.
L. B.
Loved our night here. Friendly staff, great comfy rooms and lovely food. Looking forward to coming back.
S. D.
Stayed for a couple of days and was fab. Staff very friendly at all times and the food was great. The room was nicely presented and functional with a comfortable bed
D. B.
The beds are comfy and rooms are nice, but the walls are too thin between rooms. I often get woken up a lot during my stay and I'm not a particulary light sleeper.
S. A.
Extremely helpful and friendly staff, everything explained concerning the latest covid rules. Slightly limited breakfast menu but everything produced fresh. Very relaxing visit.
B. O.
Nice and friendly staff who helped me with all our needs. The room was big, comfy and clean. Breakfast was also great! Would recommend it to anyone looking to stay at the NEC
S. G.
Sizeable rooms, clean. Staff are very friendly, food is average but still tasty. Provide a taxi service on busy days, we went to see Metallica. Was very handy. Had a good night's sleep.
S. Q.
As usual clean and comfortable and just luv the breakfast. They ordered us a taxi to take us to the Resort world and it was just over £6 so we didn't have to find parking for the concert this hotel would be ideal for the airport
J. L.
Lovely place to stay. Good price, room was clean, nice big new TV, usb plug in the wall to charge items, very easy check in and out and an amazing breakfast! Really close to the NEC so exactly what we needed.
S. V. D.
This hotel is the closest to the halls I needed at the NEC but huge let down.
First we booked 2 twin beds, and we got a double and a sofa bed. The former sofa bed was not comfortable.
The aircon were broken, a roasting hot summer day and no air con, we had to buy drinks from the vending machines.
The breakfast were ok, what we got. The hotel were clearly not able to handle the demand of x many residents leaving at the same time as much of the breakfast couldn't be replenished quick enough. The bacon, nutella and scrambled eggs were constantly out. The toaster took 5 tries before I gave up on a hot crumpet, 3 tries before giving up on toast.
Overall don't waste your time with breakfast, in 2016 the breakfast was pretty good. Not sure what has changed.
The evening meal, was good though.
This hotel used to be a solid 4/5 close to 4
5/5 now it's barely a 2.5/5 :/
J.
Good customer service and easy access to the NEC equals a pretty decent hotel to stay at if you happen to be visiting any conventions at the NEC or if youy happen to be doing buisness there.
A downside is there is no easy transport from the NEC to other places so if you happen to find walking long distance difficult, you may be better off elsewhere.
The onsite restaurant is also very hit and miss. Breakfasts are fine but they are missing some items that you usually would find on Premier inn sites (such as Black pudding, Bubble and Squeak and yoghurt pots).
M. B.
Good hotel and staff. Usual Premier Inn. Good covid controls. Had to pay for parking though.
T. W.
Clean and tidy rooms, quite too considering how busy this hotel is.
The restaurant however is not great. The service was painfully slow and some of the food was cold by the time it arrived. Not surprising when it took an hour to get a starter.
Decent enough to stay you know what to expect from a premier inn but don't use the restaurant
J. B.
Overall very happy, there was a nice large car-park however the prices were quite expensive to stay for a few days. The staff were all nice and friendly, and arranged a taxi collection for us with no trouble at all.
Our room was a little drab, and our view out the back of the hotel was of a tired looking overflow carpark. TV in the room was small and difficult to use, but as always with the Premier Inn, the room and bed was comfortable.
G. W.
Restaurant was fully booked needed to book
H. S.
Hotel itself is just like other Premier Inn's which nowadays, are really good and my hotel of choice when travelling for value and comfort. Easy check in using the self service terminal, lots of parking and rooms are consistent with the chain. The bar and restaurant service on the day I visited (24.07.17) was pretty much non-existant so after waiting about 8 mins at the bar where there were no staff, we went to a local pub for dinner instead.
Overall I would recommend this especially if using as a stopover for the Airport.
B. D.
great hotel if you are visiting Birmingham NEC, just a 10min walk over the back fence. rooms where excellent clean, breakfast was good. parking spaces were a bit tight. but would stay again...
M. M.
Hotel is OK stay here a lot due to its location . However you can wait a while for food and the restaurant is always busy hard to book if you don't know your arrival time. Regular business users checking in could wait hours for a table. Ok if you have company not so good if you are on your own and hungry.
K. H.
Definitely not the best Premier Inn I've stayed in. One lift for the whole hotel, lots of building work going on. Staff pleasant and friendly. Restaurant is a disaster. Wrong orders, wrong bill, exceptionally slow service and not able to get a table until 9pm. Could not recommend
D. W.
Was a lovely hotel with a decent room the big let down is having to pay £10.00 to park
D.
I stayed at this hotel during the UK Vape Expo and it was great, the bed was possibly the most comfortable one I've ever slept in, the room was air conditioned which was a life saver during the 30 degree weather, the shower was nice and powerful and everything was very clean, reception staff member was very friendly and helpful when I had trouble checking in, bar staff were great. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to the NEC Exhibition centre.
w. m.
Great hotel with a lovely restaurant. The provided tv was a nice size and the beds were great quality as always. We paid for the full breakfast and were incredibly pleased by the quality of it. Overall a great experience.
G. B.
Bigger than the average rooms. Well, mine #130 is. Highest spec decor I've seen compared to other Premier Inns. This place has a nice bar and restaurant, and you can take a beer outside on the garden tables if you want to. Only down side is that you have to pay for parking, up to £8 for 24hrs.
K. v. D.
Great staff. But horrible reception, WiFi keeps cutting out when closing the phone. Thought it might just be demand, so bought the ultimate WiFi. No change at all. Also it says ultimate is better for streaming. Honestly not a difference. If it wasn't for WiFi or mobile reception, hotel Would have been a 5 star rating.
S. B.
Location is a bit out of the way from the NEC and surrounding places meaning a car or taxi is needed to get anywhere. Room was well kept and nice. Only concern was the lift to get to our room, which was incredibly dodgey and would move sporadically when stopped at a floor
H. H. (.
Close to the NEC which was why we were visiting. Lots of work going on but didn't really affect our stay, apart from having to walk a long way around with our luggage, and the lift was not available to take us to the first floor. . Unfortunately we had noisy people above us who did affect our stay. The Staff were all nice and friendly, the food very good.
M. F.
Can't fault this place really apart from being a bit out of the way. If travelling from Birmingham airport, don't be fooled into thinking it's not far ? On Google maps, it doesn't look far, but it is! Took 40m dragging my luggage there, but on arrival it was worth it. Next time will pay the £8 cab fare! Auto self check in if you paid in advance. Room was nice and cosy. Well presented with tea/coffee making facilities plus a comfortable bed. Nice big tub for a soak after a long flight or journey. Will defo use again.
C. M. M. V.
Very nice place and very near by walking distance to the exhibition center the food is so nice as well, the room is confortable and clean. The only thing is that they don't have a handheld shower, only fixed to the wall.
Z. L.
I'm from the states and overall the rooms were nice and spacious. They were lacking some basic things I'm accustomed to back home such as a fridge or even a pen on the desk. I'm not sure if this is normal for the U.K. There isn't much to do around the area except a mall, but it is right near the highway so that's good. About 40 minutes from downtown Birmingham without traffic.
W. H.
Peace & Quiet with a good night's sleep
M. M.
The restaurant does amazing meals and the room are very nice. Big tv, nice shower, very comfy bed. Stayed here 3 times now and will continue to do so.
K. G.
We make this hotel our first stop before going to NEC events so I can only comment on the breakfast bar! Staff have always been nice and the all you can eat breakfast - kids eat free- sets us up for the day.
S.
Staff very good, bed comfortable although the bathroom could be cleaner, the only negative is that there was boy racers drive fast out side on roads going round and round like a race track till gone 1am, so didn't sleep very well from all the noise
L. P.
Friendly staff, polite and friendly environment, clean, tidy and very pleasant rooms, good food and very reasonable prices. All round very pleased with my stay and the top class service I received. Will definitely stay there again.
P. G.
Stayed here a few times over the year’s when we gave had early flights, I always have the 8 days parking with room for 1 night. Restaurant never disappoints and rooms always very clean.
T. W.
Good comfortable rooms which are very clean and well kept. Breakfast is really good and worth booking as part of your stay. Only downside of staying here is that you have to pay for parking. This should really be free if you are staying there.
S. S.
Beds great but although the room was a good size there was only one straight backed chair for two of us and not enough milk cartons. However the staff were very good even though they were really busy.
J. S.
Rooms very good, but restaurant staff less than interested in serving food or drinks they need training, learn how to smile and talk to people. They are lucky they have a job.
R. C.
Great food, very polite.
S. M.
Good price, clean room, comfy bed, helpful staff and a good breakfast. Need I say more.
N. B.
Rooms large clean spacious everything you need for an over night stay . Staff very friendly and courteous nothing to much trouble even arranging a taxi to take us to an event . Food very good and very reasonable . Our experience of this hotel I would definitely stay again also recommend this venue to family and friends
G. W.
Great hotel near the NEC. I stress near cause the boards indicating where it is around the NEC are very deceptive. Great onsite restaurant. Windows do open, well ours did, and the rooms were immaculately clean.
R. U.
Stayed overnight for business. Staff were friendly and welcoming, the rooms were very tidy and well maintained. There were no access ways open to the NEC so had to duck under the fence which was unhelpful.
L. N.
Room clean and comfortable. But only one set of towels. Unable to eat in restaurant as it was fully booked - limited menu in bar. Food ok -quick service.
D. F.
5 minutes walk across the big car park to get to the NEC. Plenty of parking room. Nice bar and restaurant just beside the reception. Friendly and pleasent staff. Rooms to the usual standard, nothing special but clean enough
T. J. J.
Overall the good impression apart from , it was noted that member of staff Dean who was always lurking in the corridors checking doors and openly perving over the female guests quite openly which i found a little disturbing when visiting my colleagues in their room we all noticed this.
I walked in to the hotel to meet with some friends pre expo and wasn't a guest so cannot give a good perspective of how the facilities and services are.
T. J.
Largely wonderful. Great staff (thank you for my nephews birthday surprise).
Odd though:
Excellent mobile reception outside (O2, EE) yet none inside the hotel. Free WiFi insecure, slow and weak, whichmeans that you will need to use Ultimate Wi-Fi (paid) if you want decent Internet access.
C. C.
The room was beautiful and perfectly presented, clean and to modern standard. The restaurant I felt for the quality of the food was under par but the price was reasonable and the service very acceptable.
J. M.
Our lovely waitress Diana assisted our choices. We have not been here before so it was good to know what was nice.
helped us decide what to eat and s sold
T. T.
Amazing staff, made to feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The breakfasts are great value for money and very tasty. The bed are also very comfortable allowing great nights sleep.
R. S.
One of the busiest premier inns I have been to in a long time but there is a big carpark (£8.00 for overnight), the food was okay, the service was polite and prompt and the room was the usual good standard. It was more expensive than a normal Premier Inn but that's just because of the location which is only about 1 mile from Brum airport. Where incidentally the parking charges are a joke.
M. E.
One of the cleanest Hotel Rooms we have been in, Service was excellent, has slight problem with our Room and maintenance repaired it within 5 minuets. Great Breakfast and evening meal
A. H.
An excellent night's sleep. Not a place to walk to unless you wish an adventure drive or taxi seem to be the definite options Great for the business trip and would use again. First time in this Premier Inn.
M. K.
Great hotel and very friendly staff. Stayed for meal to celebrate son’s 9th Birthday before flight and staff brought candles with pudding and present - very surprised.
J. A.
Good basic hotel. Restaurant a little manic at times. Food ok nothing special but reasonable for the price. You have to pay to park though which when you've already paid to stay is rather annoying!
N. D.
The location was perfect for an overnight stay to see a gig at the genting arena. The room was very comfortable with a modern shower. The breakfast was great as always!
T. R.
No negatives about our stay... a single night, in business, as we were at a party in hall 1 of NEC. Easy check in and car secured overnight for a good rate.
T. D.
Great friendly staff, comfortable bed and good food!
M. M.
Good greeting at reception, clean room all normal Premium Inn facilities, bath and shower,,evening meal was good, then room key stopped working,,sorted quickly.a good stay and England through to quarter finals of the world cup..breakfast a bit cold and bacon a bit like leather.. 👍👍👍👍 four thumbs..
S. B.
Good place to stay as close to Nec and airport. It is clean, staff are pleasant and helpful....got extra towels and pillows within 10mins of requesting them.
Took advantage of the evening meal deal...2 courses ...full menu choice. Food was very good.
m. w.
We stayed here last week while Crufts was on.Its in a very convenient position for the NEC only 20min walk away. The premier inn is clean, very quiet and serves a good breakfast.
p. s.
Very comfortable stay and a short walk from the NEC.
C. J.
Stayed for 1 night room very clean apart from cups were dirty. In the evening we were told the restaurant was fully booked so had to travel elsewhere for food
N. P.
Like all Premier Inn .The room was clean and well set out even being near an Airport there was no sound of Aircraft taking off or landing..I have given it 4 stars because I was less impressed by the attached Tyme eatery which was over price for what they served up .If we stay again we will travel out to find some where better to eat
W. L.
Very comfy bed, good aircon (much needed on a hot day), and a fairly decent breakfast. Quite a walk to the train station through the NEC so be prepared if you're not much of a walker and getting the train there!
S.
Staff were welcoming and happy to help, the room itself was impressive and included a 43 inch TV, long desk and more. Great value, will return :)
A. M.
Located quite close to the airport, rooms have all been looked after, my party had 3 of them. The staff were ever so lovely and made the stay a very welcoming stay.
o.
Average hotel in middle of nowhere .breakfast good . And evening meal .if arriving or staying between 10.30am and 5pm you cannot get anythink at all to eat .as restaurant closed .not a nook. The hotels clean and tidy.i do like to give a true review asto above .also the aircons in the rooms need updating badly they smell and dont work .
S. C.
Breakfast barely warm, tables not cleared promptly. Hotel rooms clean and comfortable but restaurant not the best.
D.
Nice rooms, extremely comfortable beds, can fit up to 4 people but the food is quite expensive in the restaurant but is still delicious.
K. O.
Good budget hotel within walking distance of the NEC. Rooms comfortable single double or family rooms available, restaurant and bar on site not too expensive, we had dinner and drink for £16.99 also an option to add breakfast for a total of £19.99 nice and quiet at night , bath and shower in room also hair dryer provided.
J. O.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Great location close to NEC. Restaurant exceeded expectation. The food was very good and the waitress had the time to chat but still managed to serve everyone in time.
D. P.
a good stay, the receptionist on duty when we first arrived was very unhelpful , apart from her the rest of the staff very great we had the breakfast which was very good, the rooms were clean and the bed comfortable
S. M.
Great hotel lovely room, just a shame about the restaurant, only open limited hours and the breakfast was buffet style not the normal cooked to order.
K. W.
My room was good, comfy bed and the normal amenities, but flush on toilet was poor and got woke up at midnight, to the sound of elephants trampling above (my room was on the 2nd floor) or someone who is very heavy footed.
M. L.
We stayed here for Bryan Adams at the Genting Arena. Lovely hotel. Very clean and the staff were very friendly. Well organised on getting guests to and from the arena. Taxis a plenty outside the hotel prior and then the same oursi the Crown Plaxa to get us back.
Breakfast the next mono was brilliant, £8.99 for an all you can eat. So much choice and the food was very nice.
I would recommend this hotel for anyone aftebfo and event, or a pre/post airport stay. Both are a 5 min taxo or 15-20 min walk.
D. H.
Nice enough Premier Inn although they decided to do lift maintenance during one of the NECs busiest exhibitions so lots of queues. Restaurant also couldn't handle being so busy and we had to eat at 9pm on both nights we stayed. Air-conditioning in room didn't work (blew out hot air) although they did provide a fan instead. Charging for parking just seems to be price gouging as their car park is behind a secure barrier and could easily be kept just for guests but instead they charge six pounds a day!
S. T.
Grate place and very tiedyup and peaceful.
Good customer services good stuffs.
restaurant have morning unlimited breakfast just £8.99 and dinner must book a table.
D. S. (.
Helpful staff, great food and we had a quiet room. We only had one problem when we put sign on door for room service and they missed topping up loo rolls and fresh towels
K. M.
We have stayed here a couple of times and been disappointed, but this stay was lovely. Things have definitely improved. Food was good and service was efficient.
M. L.
Nice comfortable room, restaurant next door typical of a premier inn, good food friendly staff, located near the NEC, careful of sat nav directions, can take you through the nec maze to multiple dead ends!
p. a.
Had a lovely stay after visiting Crufts, room was clean and comfy also a lovely buffet style breakfast in the morning, staff always around and helpful.
p. b.
Premium inn was lovely only down point to there is they dont start to serve evening meal till 6pm and if ur going to watch a show u have to hurry there meal it was so busy didnt get to the arena till 7.20 so not long to get drink and get a seat.should start food at 5pm or 5.30
D. E.
Great location for Birmingham Airport and the NEC. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was good. Rooms were comfortable and clean but did have some maintenance issues such as lights not working.
J. C.
Clean rooms, comfortable bed and friendly and helpful staff, as well as being about 20 minutes walk from halls 1-4 of the NEC. Would recommend to my friends if they plan to visit.
C. H.
Very clean hotel.
Comfortable rooms & bed.
Free wifi but unsecured and may leave you vulnerable.
Only letdown was £8 per night parking.
A. P. (. N. P.
Stayed for one night. Bed very comfortable and had a good night's sleep. Restaurant service very slow, lots of front of house staff, but long wait for food.
C. R.
Fantastic room and clean. Evening meal only 2 stars not very good. But excellent breakfast.
V. D.
Had a lovely stay rooms clean comfortable staff very friendly and helpful food is good do a deal on breakfast and evening meal it's in walking distance of the NEC or walk over car park get on bus
M.
Stayed here during a recent conference. It was okay. A little bit noisy, very busy and struggle to get a seat at the restaurant. Also there is no phone signal inside the hotel
M. P.
Refurbished rooms are modern, clean and well presented. Beds are comfortable and staff are friendly and helpful.
s. h.
The staff make the hotel. The hotel is ok... But without the staff... No one would stay there... Many thanks for making my stay. The best I have had in a Premier inn
N. S.
A typical Premier Inn but still new ish. So all in good order. Extra charge to park and entrance/exit has a bend where someone decided it was a good idea to put the barriers. Not clever if you are in a large vehicle, which a lot of clientele are due to excellent proximity to N12 access of NEC
S.
Had a twin room booked, but when we arrived (2am) the sofa bed was not made up, we were too tired to sorted out. Apart from that, no faults.
P. S.
Comfortable bed, great night sleep. Quick efficient check in and friendly staff thanks Jake on reception.
T. R.
It is a clean welcoming place
A. R.
Very clean. Very friendly staff. Very modern, self-check in was a breeze. Best part of the room has to be the USB sockets in the walls.
E. E.
Lovely stay. Worth the money. Comfy sleep. Only thing was the water wasn't hot enough for a shower but was only staying overnight
M. S.
I use premier inns a lot and very rarely have a criticism , and this one lives up to what I expect ...
Friendly staff....
Lovely rooms...
only drawback is theres nothing nearby so your eating in the restaurant which can be a bit expensive.
E. W.
Usual standard but not many freeview channels- no ITV3,! Kettle poorly, too busy forbreakfast but caravans exhibition on at NEC which was why we were there!
p. w.
Fantastic value. We paid £65 for a room and it included 8 days parking. The quality of the rooms in a Premier Inn are fantastic for the price.
D. B.
Depending if there is a show on at the NEC, depends on your experience. Noisy corridors, excessive queues for dinner and breakfast and staff who are obviously over worked. Go on a regular day and you may have a decent experience. Flip the coin...
K. S.
As you would expect from a premier inn
G. W.
Comfortable room. Very good evening meal with attentive service. Good, hot full English buffet breakfast with good alternatives.
m. m.
Good place to stay for NEC. Car park is cheaper than the NEC rip off 16 notes. Need to be fit to do the walk over though. Would use again
C. B.
Good rooms as always but they actually charge you to park here, there is no where else to park at all so a little bit annoyed they do this
B. T.
Beds are very comfy and good and easy self check in
D. G.
Very nice -very busy book your table for the evening meal in the morning (I have warned you) car parking if you are there for a few days upgrade your car park ticket so you can drive in and out at your leisure without looking for change and tickets etc
T. M.
Good clean room and quiet. Food was excellent. Have to play £10 for parking.
C. M.
Nice place to spend the night has everything you need. Did have a problem at dinner, took over an hour to get our food but we were told why and the manager sorted out our problem for us so the customer service is pretty good
A. P.
I left a phone in room. 266 did anyone had. It in. If. They have I would like 2 pick it up on the 27 if that is ok
L. N.
Had a wonderful stay the bed was so comfortable had the best nights sleep in ages and couldn't fault the breakfast the only comment I do have is there's not enough tea coffee and milk in the room and standard of cleaning I would rate 5* so thank you
S. B.
Very long waiting time for food at restaurant - 2 hours from coming in till we left. Squeaky floors in the rooms. Could not sleep from 5am as someone kept walking above my room. 15 min walk to NEC. You need to jump over fence behind hotel.
G. P.
Nice hotel clean as expected. Parking is a bit expensive.
Hotel staff slow. when eating at the restaurant took along time to get ordered and waiting for meals.
R. C.
Been here before. Staff are friendly and the food is great. You sleep well as the room is comfy and warm
A. H.
Had a really good stay, not much view but we didn't care about that. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Will stay again.
W. H.
A decent night stay. Very comfy beds and decent enough free wifi. Room was clean and tidy. Only let down was that the room wreaked of paint.
J. S.
Good standard premier inn. A little pricey. Wifi reception isn't the best and there is no signal on your phone anywhere in the hotel.
D. G.
What can I say £37 for a family of 3 for the night! Excellent value
S. L.
Great hotel, close to the necessary. The room was very clean and a good size, the bed was comfortable. Would highly recommend!
M. W.
Good food selection, clean and staff are polite and welcoming. Recommended for any short stay.
T. C.
Good location for an overnight stay before going to the airport. Rooms have air con. Which was useful in summer 2018!! Also has bar and restaraunt.
S. B.
A bit isolated but a perfect place to crash the night if you have your own transport. Rooms are very spacious too.
K. W.
Great location for the NEC. Reliable and clean, as Premier Inn always are, with parking at a reasonable cost. Only downside is the small restaurant which gets exceptionally busy.
C. H.
Nice rooms and good food. They also serve vegan or leave unwanted parts of the meal away if you prefer!
S. H.
Great place to stay rooms are lovely and clean and beds very comfy. Breakfast as always delious.
D. S.
Facilities are good and clean. Beds are awesome and super comfy. 5 minute walk to the NEC. Maids have good custome service.
s. w.
3 stars for location . Same premier Inn as others really. However watch the parking fees . If you arrive on a Friday at 2 and leave Sunday before 10am you're expected to pay 3 days parking ??? . Am staying less than 48 hrs and charged per 24 hrs. Why am I paying an extra day .
T. O.
Good bed in an above average sized room. Basic facilities and a good bar. Breakfast was OK.
M. K.
Always a pleasure when traveling for business. Great staff, quality food and service. Fast, efficient, clean comfortable, friendly and easy going. Love a premier inn
P. W.
Ideal location near airport. Large comfortable family room. Only £59 with 2 weeks parking at nearby Airparks and £8 to park overnight.
K. F.
Welcoming and accepting staff, good rooms, good food, relaxed bar... what more is there to say? Oh, you can't shazam the music in the bar, it's not loud enough! 😆
M. C.
The hotel in itself was okay but room was dirty.loads of handprints on the hall mirror and dirty corridor carpets.
However the breakfast was superb quality.
T. P.
Lovely nights sleep minutes from the airport, nice restaurant. Only gripe the taxi was a fixed £11.30p to the airport.
L. B.
Clean, reasonable and close to NEC but the shuttle bus service isn't always an option as the north carparks are not always in use. Be prepared to get taxis to and from the NEC.
J. M.
Does what it says on the ticket although you do have to pay for parking. We tipped over into the £8 a night tariff even though we left at 4.30a.m. for the airport!
G. M.
Very good, and the young lady who served us was absolutely fab, just thought to mention her name Chloe,S
P. B.
Had to knock a star off because the lights had blown in my room, because it was a work conference all rooms were booked and nothing could be done, apart from that. Can't grumble, food was good, room was clean
S. B.
We stopped one night with the meal deal Breakfast included at a good price, very pleasant staff, the only bad part was we had to pay for parking.
E. K.
One of the best premier inn hotels I stayed at. Clean and spacious rooms and helpful staff
j. p.
Big hotel, with plenty of parking (£8 per 24 hrs currently. Staff happy to help. Expected a disabled room with wetroom as both of us disabled and we paid for disability room. Bed too low, bath instead of shower (although plenty of handles around in the bathroom to use). There was a blood stain on the pillow. You may think this is a bad review but actually it isn't! There were two extra pillows in wardrobe area, so blood stain didn't matter. Although the bed was too low for me, it might be ok for someone else with a different disability. Odd using the loo with only one arm rest! The staff saved this hotel. Every single one could not have been more genuinely helpful and it was definitely appreciated. Thank you. The breakfast was well cooked but what we had off buffet was rather cold. The items that were heated specially (pancakes) were lovely. We had been to a disability exhibition and were extremely tired. No noise issues. Would stay again.
S. S.
The best of the 'no frills' chains in my opinion, you always get a nice comfy bed. I had a nice quiet room and had a good night's sleep!
G. W.
Customer service is great, rooms are a little hot
C. M.
Average. A lot of drunk men wandering around. Not overly pleasant. Breakfast not as good as other Premier Inns I've been to.
D. S.
Room was just as expected and the shower was superb only thing to let it down was a warm cooked breakfast and the scrambled eggs had seen better days.
J. S.
Overall great accommodation, amazing and comfy room however if on foot and planning to go to the NEC may struggle as you need to climb a chest high fence, there was a gap but it is impossible to get to because of an overgrown shrubbery. The car parks may open the gates nearby but aren't guaranteed for every event, confirmed by staff for MCM Birmingham. Ideally should re open the gap or mention on the hotel description NEC may be difficult on foot.
A. T.
Stayed here last night the staff were lovely from the moment we walked in the door to the min we left the young man behind the bar was very nice and great at he's job Chris even with the restaurant got really busy he still came over to ask if we were ok and needed anything lovely stay defo coming again nice clean no problem always happy and smiling
I. S.
Good accommodation and good food but if you are dinning there book table in advance I arrived at 8:30 and could not get a table until 9:30.
K. I. (.
Pretty good for the most you pay friendly staff, rooms are clean enough and the restaurant is great. Also location wise very conveniently located between BBX and Birmingham business park
j. w.
Disappointed in the food both evening meal and breakfast. Room comfortable and clean. Staff good.
D. H.
Great place to stay, restaurant is very pleasant and service quick and friendly. Lots of parking and the NEC is just 5 minutes walk.
N. C.
What I've come to expect from Premier inn, clean room, good comfortable beds, plenty for breakfast. One let down £8 for parking.
B. C.
Standard Premier Inn; comfy bed & room. Staff were nice and it's a great location for NEC events.
D. B.
This is a great place to stay if you are just looking for one or two nights. Clean, and with a decent restaurant.
j. o.
Rooms lovely staff lovely would of been 5 stars but the wait for food in restaurant was far to Long ordered 9pm food served 10.10pm
C. T.
Check in was very efficient, my room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was efficient and the staff were helpful.
J.
Very clean and well organized. Comfortable bed and we paid for parking for the airport and that was reasonable as well
t.
Great hotel for the NEC. Lovely evening meal and breakfast. Very helpful and lovely staff.
T. R.
Hotel great! Restaurant , same soup of the day every day. No stilton for third day. No cheese board, no rib eye steak. Service very slow! Food ok.
B. G.
Very friendly staff (especially the receptionist), good food and very nice rooms. All for a great price!
K. C.
Well kept hotel although starting to show its age. Still great value for money and would not hesitate to stay there again.
M. F.
Simple, comfy and professional hotel. Had three requests for staff and all sorted out friendly and simply.
B. M.
Convinenantly located. Easy to use hotel. Clean and tidy. Although no reception phones in hotel rooms. But for the price well worth it.
L. P. R.
Expensive. Restaurant and bar not able to cope with people. Parking expensive and charged on top of room rate. Convenient to NEC and airport though.
j. f.
Idealy situated for the airport of for working in nec. Breakfast is good but have had issues with empty banquet running low on choice or slow to refill.
I. A. R.
I was booked into the hotel by Flybe due to a delayed flight transfer. Loved the room, food, and service, really made the delay almost pleasant.
P. C.
Better than expected, clean facilities and helpful friendly staff and a great location thats has good access to all major travel destinations.
L. G.
Great price, but unfortunately the bed wasn't up the Premier Inn's usual excellent standard (including the quilt, which was like a lead weight!), and the service at breakfast was the worst we've ever had at a Premier Inn.
H. C.
Room was perfect, exactly what we needed and what we expected. Staff also very welcoming and card for our needs, lots of info too!
D. F.
It wss like being next to drag racing stadium on Saturday night .
Staff were great especially karen in the bar what a lovely lady needs promotion xx
S. P.
Nice clean rooms, good WiFi, £8 for 24 hours parking, very pleasant and helpful staff
M. S. R.
Was a lovely hotel. I didnt have breakfast or dinner but the room was roomy in the family room and twin room.
H. B.
Stayed here 2, day's lovely clean rooms food brilliant very friendly staff
c. h.
Only reason I’m posting this is to mention Chloe the restaurant waitress. Absolutely hands down fantastic service, especially as they are so understaffed. Please consider the staff stress levels and employ more to relieve the pressure!
M. W.
Room was fine. Service was understandably slow due to quantity of guests. Breakfast was terrible. Could only eat half of it
D. P.
Service was good. Their breakfast options felt quite over priced in my opinion, and we're somewhat limited.
C. W.
Easy enough to find but both parking metres did not work properly. Went for a drink at the bar and the till system went down but came back after about 20-30 minutes, other than that, a pleasant experience
J. B.
Nice hotel very clean spacious room . Very minimal selection on the restaurant menu lovely food but overpriced for what you get
B. C.
Easy check-in. Comfy bed. Amazing shower. Good breakfast. Shame about the £8 for parking though
G. B.
stayed here overnIghtfield before flight. good and clean everything you need.make sure to book your taxi to airport the night before you leave as taxi often very busy.
J. H.
Very good, room was very nice, showers are great, lovely comfortable beds, very good breakfast.
E. S.
Usual Premier Inn. Check in was weird as they have automated check in but they were either out of order or out of keys so we had to wait for someone to come to reception. Breakfast was not the best.
T.
On the up-side, within walking distance to the NEC, fairly cheap if booked well in advance and very helpful staff, but the hotel is tired looking and in need of refurbishment and often very busy with large groups of excitable children, which does not bode well if you are in need of sleep, as the corridor floors are made of wood.
R. T.
Hotel is good and clean but no sound proof. Couldn't rest due to noise from other rooms.
C. T.
Check in was very efficient, my room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was efficient and the staff were helpful.
J. S.
Ok. Good uniform standard as usual. Only 15 mins walk to NEC via North Car Park. Good exercise lol.
A. P. (. N. P.
Stayed for one night. Bed very comfortable and had a good night's sleep. Restaurant service very slow, lots of front of house staff, but long wait for food.
D. C.
Good location but very busy
L. B.
All as to be expected friendly and helpful staff. Accessible room was perfect.
N. F.
Great value for money and good service
C. H.
Very clean hotel.
Comfortable rooms & bed.
Free wifi but unsecured and may leave you vulnerable.
Only letdown was £8 per night parking.
A. K.
clean hotel, was busy during event/conference. didn't realise you had to pay for parking. overall was no problems
R. C.
I have been staying in the hotel for a few years now on a regular basis, and I find it's staff very friendly and hard working, my special thanks go to them all for their help and kindness in my resent family loss, thank you for your help and kindness especially Kerry Sarah and Caren
Many thanks
Mr R Cooke (Rob)
S. s.
Tough to get to on foot but worth the visit decent bar (often busy) the rooms are quiet and well furnished
J. R.
Clean and good, nice breakfast but a mix up on the booking drop a the score down
M. L.
Nice hotel. Staff lovely but very long wait for evening meals when hotel is busy.
K. H.
Helpful and friendly service, air conditioning works OK and plenty of parking. Only downside was lukewarm breakfast.
R. A.
Staff are friendly. Rooms are clean. Bar was not fully stocked. Convenient for the NEC but not always easily accessible.
R. W.
Room clean, bar and restaurant very good. Staff welcoming and very helpful.
P. R.
Useful location for the NEC. Rooms are all pretty newly refurbished. Service a bit poor, food pretty average
g. c.
Good size rooms, great bed, food is good and prices are fair, staff are exceptional.
T. S.
Good stay and park service. Taxi booked by the hotel for us. Rooms as you would expect. Will use again.
A. C.
Backs on to the NEC skip area, got woken up when they empty them at 1am. Stay on the other side of the hotel and it's ok.
f. f.
Great friendly staff. Good nights, and the food is good. Still have some time left and enjoying it.
g. b.
Nice hotel. Nice food. Staff were very nice. Beds are a bit hard though.
S. S.
Usual high standard of customer service from staff. Heating pipes kept clicking throughout the night disturbing sleep. This was on the top floor.
K. C.
Excellent rooms breakfast and dinner very good would recommend
B. C. L.
Everything you'd expect, except having to pay for parking in addition to usual hotel charges. We had a great night's sleep.
M. S.
Brilliant hotel chain. Affordable luxury and friendly staff. Breakfast is amazing!
